Steven Seagal HAS To Be Baiting Us At This Point.. (Beyond The Law)

steven seagal has been being milked for all the recognition he still has it's not like he's a victim here my man's collecting paychecks legal ones at that listen i've seen the scripts that this guy takes you think i'm going to invest in his crypto advice this dude was promised 250k cold hard cash and 750k in these bitcoin two gen tokens to be the brand ambassador and push this coin only problem was he didn't disclose any of that while shouting from the rooftops to invest making him pay 300k plus in fines and i guess another problem was that the whole thing was a scam and robbed investors of 11 million dollars but segal says he had no clue that he too was duped because he wasn't actually in the mix of things nice and i would say i'm surprised but seagal being involved in something that he's actually not really involved in at all is also how he picks his scripts and now steve's in the hole and has to take even more of these scripts or do something especially egregious like agree to a sequel on one of his classics oh if you were trying to cash in on a sleazy sequel you're about 20 years too late my guy this came out in 1988 is this just the goal now you got sick of ripping off your own movies by just naming them something similar so now you said [ __ ] it i'm just gonna go with the tainted sequel instead i mean i can even bring this up for the movie we're talking about today which is his most recent release right after general commander that was a gem to review as well beyond the law starring steven seagal kind of that's correct and dmx r.i.p to a legend but what i mean by this being a part of the strategy is this is not the first time sagon and dmx have been on screen together 2001's exit wounds a movie much more popular than this movie and now the question is can we still lure them in two decades later the answer no i could go on and on with this if you followed the steven seagal breadcrumb trail on my channel you know it's been a hell of a doozy and nothing changes today this movie these movies still somehow catch me off guard but they're always a lot of fun so i would very much love if you join me for reviewing beyond the law [Music] now our first topic at hand is the score of the movie which i rarely ever mention but i need to know if i'm crazy this sounds heavily dark night inspired slash favish listen to this you don't know whose money you're taking sure i do fine i mean it doesn't help that the guy went with that deep rasp right before the [ __ ] thing start oh it's my money where's rachel but i don't know i very well might be the catalyst to a lawsuit and that would be pretty pog so i need to look up all the names of the characters because i swear i kept confusing like three of them on my first watch so this kid chance tagged him a robbery with i believe desmond he was the deep voice guy so segal walks into a home to interrogate a man but why is it so packed in here prom party promo yes your thoughts on prom nothing okay what hollow dialogue usually you follow that up with vague humor or like a snarky comment prom never went to prom couldn't get a date we were in bed by six stephen stephen stephen the lines steven stephen it is 4 a.m who [ __ ] even gave him that i think it's his someone bring me a light no no no no no no do not bring him stephen for [ __ ] sake stephen so steven's intimidating this guy right look at this i will let you keep all that you have acquired secretly acquired and not just walk away how you like that guys i don't understand explain it to me like i'm a child there are people with careers on this set steven stops looking where we're shown to believe this fellow is and just derails grade level acting and so stares the audience not to purposely break the fourth wall but i don't know why somehow a small crew in steven and steven most importantly [ __ ] steven didn't realize he shifted his head completely dead on lens are you going to kill me oh well i just forgot about that whole looking to the camera thing whose bagel shop did you bribe to lend their manager for a gig your face is scared but your voice is bemused so we move on and i'm not kidding at this point seagal's contract has to include the necessity of strippers on set this woman is so not needed in this scene a split second and for what it's just the bar you don't need a stripper in every bar i know that's how it is in [ __ ] tijuana steven but i have a bar area with patrons [Music] [Applause] [Music] so desmond drops in on chance and he's here to just grab the money back that he chose to leave with him for whatever reason and after chance tells him that he left it in the drop ceiling which this is just an awkward encounter it doesn't make a whole lot of sense because chance doesn't even look up he waits for them to look up first they look up and then all they see is his phone there which chance didn't notice and he was like oh the hundred thousand dollars you're missing just a phone a [ __ ] phone do i look like i need a [ __ ] phone boy i want my money i swear it was up there right right where i left it i feel like i'm talking to a [ __ ] child no no no no hey i lost some of that money fake tattoos that you guys went with real and george washington who's gonna tell him so yes dmx is unfortunately in this movie i say unfortunately because i don't wanna dog anything dmx related and no pun not intended but it's there the word of chance's death spreads around and months delivers the news to frank chance's father he's an isolated survival man with neighbor and friend swilly and i'm not even gonna lie to you i thought this relationship was a lot more problematic before it was explained to me it's a steven seagal movie i don't put anything past it so frank comes out to the funeral of his son who ends up buried next to his mom as you can clearly see with the engraving of time's new roman no you didn't no you didn't how this is amateur overdose [Music] [Music] this movie had a five million dollar budget i know two of that went to [ __ ] steven but how do you leave this in the movie there's one random girl in attendance here and frank approaches her like she's a [ __ ] she works at a casino in dated chance turns out chance was a big gambler you see that's why we called him chance because he takes a lot of chances dog back up why are you so close to this woman it's a funeral are we only in the first 15 minutes holy [ __ ] i'mma head over this charity now are you green screened in is this shot not in focus is this just like the worst lighting possible what is this shot why are there so many shots in this movie where i'm rubbing my eyes cleaning my glasses because it looks like i'm watching a [ __ ] 3d movie without the glasses frank starts gearing up for vengeance well that's a duffel bag full of guns she got there what's that for you call them negotiation tactics [ __ ] i like this guy can we have an interrogation scene between swilly and this guy moving on to worst conversation seagal meets with a new supplier and just listen that's all this review is just just watch this because you won't believe me if i just tell you listen we uh just got rid of a lifelong supplier what are you steven this guy goes from like i'm super cool so all of a sudden just good old southern charm he's like a racist chameleon what are you stephen stop doing that whatever hopefully this lady can help support this scene my family has been in business for a while well volume how about volume you got a lot of product [Music] yeah i would have stopped giving her lines after that too you got a lot bro all right and action let's see that not samantha nice very nice steven look away from the camera steve was this supposed to stay in the in the movie this is the dweebiest i've ever seen him look for this split second so frank is at a coffee shop you know that's where you obviously go when you're broken and this movie continues to movie hey can i top you off frank meets up with ashley who well she's a part of the cast frank then meets a dangerous man for some help he will definitely come and play again i just got the [ __ ] out of prison man keep playing evidence of me i did three [ __ ] years well that's one way to give backstory the fight that ensues is abysmal and i won't say a word more about it [ __ ] away your [ __ ] [ __ ] is your problem man [ __ ] you [ __ ] you [ __ ] [ __ ] that guy [ __ ] the weekend baby [ __ ] frank goes to the hotel chance stayed at and specifically requests his room what about that kid's room when he got killed what the hell you want to stay in a murdered kids room for so he gives him the room after a light bribery and there's police tape still in the room why wasn't the first thing you said you can't stay there instead of just judging him like why do you want to see the dead kid's room how about there's evidence in there no it's closed off i have many other open rooms i don't care that you're his dad they didn't even clean the blood how much money did he throw you for this a bill isn't that what the [ __ ] room cost anyways wait is this not a hotel why does he have photos up more importantly why this one of you you look like a sex offender and greg paul hey you guys want to see a jump scare that was even better than that first one [Music] yeah so because his son randomly left his phone up in the drop ceiling frank now has something to go off of so frank looks at the call history and caused desmond and why on god's green earth would you answer this call and why do you have any reason to be afraid is chance's dad a big name on the streets because regardless you're like a [ __ ] kingpin aren't you frank makes his way to the casino that the chick works at and tries to do a bit more digging he runs into an old friend i think we're not told who he is who gives a [ __ ] old habits die hard solos really are you telling me that this speakeasy casino has solos not even the good kind those are the bootleg ones that aren't called solos what do you guys think is worse having solos at a bar or a bartender just pulling a whole ass pre-poured drink out how much of this budget went to stephen stokes so seagal is desmond's father and he doesn't like that he killed chance but desmond won't admit it anyway whatever frank finds desmond at a club and man i want to give this stripper every dollar i own after this icebreaker hey baby why don't you come sit over here so at this point frank pretty much got the story buckled down along with desmond's involvement uh by the way how the [ __ ] did the cops miss this phone in the clear part of the ceiling it doesn't matter frank pistol whips desmond and brings it to an old buddy that old buddy oh yeah dmx dmx dmx is the old buddy he's in the movie you guys do not exist in the same world i'm sorry this doesn't work he wants ray to run the gun for ballistics but oh no raise a crooked cop so instead rey just tells desmond where to find frank after some light bribery steven seagal finessed a stogie for every scene he's in after some more digging frank figures out that chance's girlfriend has a fatty more importantly he discovers that she was the one that stole the money and pretty much the reason chance died and he doesn't kill her i'm assuming because he doesn't want to like stoop to that level plus she has a fatty [Music] what happened to your face and also what's with the cut cuz you ugly so segal confronts desmond about killing chance and i was not ready put a bullet in his [ __ ] head you gonna take care of her for me yeah yeah i feel like i'm talking to a [ __ ] child yeah bad what are you doing cancel this guy who [ __ ] wrote that desmond takes it too far and walt's into swilly's house what the hell are you doing he threatens him for frank's location and desmond sends the goons out to frank shack and these guys are all the epitome of passable thug characters that are actually played by really sweet guys i don't buy any of you are killers the way this guy's holding his shotgun just screams i make time for my children frank sweeps the leg and murks them all only to get shot by this questionable travolta offspring but uh they're incompetent and leave this man taking these deep ass brett deep ass breaths taking these deep ass breaths why does that sound weird am i putting a th on ass deep ass breaths for dead i keeps am i [ __ ] deep ass breaths for dead he's dead why he's doing all he's and they're like yeah oh he's dead don't worry about it [ __ ] it detective ray montz goes to check in on frank and reports back to desmond still not dead huh well he's unconscious right now this might be prime time guys huh but ray says that's a no-go i just can't kill him in the hospital okay fair way guess we'll just wait till he's better desmond's right hand comedically meets with the supplier to go behind segal's back and swilly still refuses to lock his door he dies for it and that's an r.i.p to the only interesting person here you know what you do when you get an itch right scratch it you rub it out oh they're just paying them to kill frank hundred thousand dollars huh that's a pretty big jump from that cable bill we threw you earlier you like another just give me the bottle no just just give me the bottle get the bottle the bottle i'll take the bottom cut that's frank immediately dives back into vengeance mode after waking up in the hospital then he just leaves but not without some trouble first frank we need to have a conversation who the [ __ ] gives a preamble to their hit hey frank i hope you picked out your casket my what basket no not basket casket casket yes like like a coffin say hi to lubega for me the guy who made mambo number five yes stop responding he's not dead he's not no he's like in his 40s oh what does he look like now look what kind of benjamin button [ __ ] is this this guy right here looks like his dad i don't know what to tell you how about your final goodbye [Music] did you just shoot yourself i panicked also you sent cops to kill him ray you're a crooked cop you collaborate with criminals hire them also if they were willing to send cops to murder him in the hospital parking lot i'm supposed to believe that they were past just hitting him with a medium firm while he was unconscious so we've arrived at the ultimate showdown frank versus rey unique name first unique name hey do you guys know there's a kid named chance in this movie in this battle between two of the main characters is actually the best fight in the movie you fought goons longer than this really segal checks the camera sees the crooked dealings behind his back and seagal recorded 80 of his scenes from this desk i love it he approaches the backstabbers finally raises his voice so we can hear him and he teaches the boys a lesson that's part of the life [ __ ] don't worry we don't need any confirmation that they were hit we know who we're dealing with desmond goes to approach who he thinks is rey but it's about to go down once again short-lived fight if you could call it that and frank has a clean shot lined up for desmond but he takes his sweet ass time so desmond oh i guess they're just trying to finish up but now here we are at the guy who really mattered all along desk ridden daniel son they get into a scrap and the gun just dead ass goes off in frank's face like five times why they edited it did it did did it i don't know deep ass bret i'm not even sure who the bad guy is anymore at this point who am i rooting for wait there's no [ __ ] shot that to call kill everybody's dead what happened oh it was all for the bamboozle 9000 that'll put cigar in prison okay now i'm into it but i do feel like we should have one more really rushed scene where that casino chick gets some karma though nope let's go i don't even understand why the supplier would want to do this i didn't even think they were aware of each other who set this up did you just record this and you're like yeah [ __ ] it why not pow-pow guns huh that's a pretty sick ending because the other ending would have been too abrupt [Music] had the movie ended there [ __ ] riots in the streets uh well surprise surprise this movie was the buns i'm starting to get convinced that they plant these little aggressive fuck-ups to bait reactions like mine like they're still cooking up their same old unoriginal cigal [ __ ] but also there is no way they accidentally had seagal look at the [ __ ] camera that had to be planned i'm convinced cheap cinema is just giving each other the sauce right now they took some executives from the velocipaster team and now they're just trying to beef up their numbers in whatever way they can and it's working i never would have bought this piece of [ __ ] had sagon not looked at the [ __ ] camera had he not laid his gaze on me pause but another one in the books and i'm sure there will be plenty more where that
