so hey everyone welcome back to the skill shop today we are going to set up UB to virtual machine on Windows 11 right we are going to create a Ubuntu or Linux setup related tutorials from today for the various purposes like data science data engineering and data analytics for that first we need to install and Linux operating system for that we need a virtual box so for downloading virtual box go in your favorite browser and search for virtual box you will be redirected to the all links pages and here virtualbox VM you can see the link is from Oracle VM virtualbox or virtualbox.org just click on it and here you can see download Virtual box 7.0 that is currently available once you click on this big download button you will be redirected to the download page and here you can see you can download the virtual box for various operating system like Windows Linux Mac OS Solaris etc etc so for this I am going to install it in Windows 11 so I'm going to select Windows host as soon as you will click on the Windows host it will start downloading I will show you once I will click on the Windows host you can see virtual box is getting started it's getting downloaded I'm going to pause it and uh cancel the downloading of the virtual box as I I already downloaded the virtual box in my system I will show you so in downloads you can see virtual box is already downloaded so I'm going to click on it right click on it and just going to run as administrator just hit on yes it will start this wizard just click on the next if you want to change your uh location of where virtual box need to be installed you can change it from browsing here I'm going to keep it as same click on the next click on the next click on the next here you can see the virtual box is getting installed okay I am going to hit on the Finish button you can see virtual box is installed successfully and here already one virtual machine is there it is from my previous installation so I'm going to delete it so you you will see this kind of window when you first open the virtual box tool okay so first we need to create a virtual machine so for that just hit on this new button and here enter your virtual machine's name so I'm going to enter my virtual machine name is my Linux VM okay then this is the installation path for this then after that ISO image if you want you can select from here here type type is Linux and from here you can select various distributions of Linux Debian Centos Fedora whatever right so I'm going to select uban to 64bit you can see here uban to 64bit then I'm going to hit on the next here you can provide the ram so I'm going to provide 4 GB of RAM for it you can use as per your systems uh so here you can see in my system I have 16 GB of RAM and I can extend till here uh till somewhere between green and uh blue right then after that you need processors so here it's One processor I have 12 CPUs so that's why I can increase it to two virtual CPUs or vcpus okay then I am going to click on the next then here it will ask you for various types of dis or virtual hard disk okay so vdi virtual hard disk you can see create a new virtual hard disk right so um I'm going to add virtual hard disk of 100 GB let's add 100 GB 100 GB okay and here you can see pre-allocate full size if you check this it will pre-allocate the full size otherwise it will dynamically allocate the full size although you have other options if you have other drives you can use those as well by selecting here or you can uh create virtual hard disk letter also by selecting this option so I'm going to click on the next and you can see the configurations are shown here so just click on the finish so you can see your Linux virtual machine setup is created so just right click on it and go into the settings so let's change some basic settings from here in general you can change your virtual machine name if you want in advance I am going to enable by directional clipboard and drag and drop functionality then in description if you want want you can add some description and also you can add disk encryption as well I'm not going to touch those in system you can see the base memory hard disk and all are provided here if you want you can change the things from here then display here it requires minimum of you can see 0 MB and maximum of 128 MB of RAM and it's already on 16 MB so yeah I'm going to maximize it to 128 MB RAM for uh vdi or virtual display okay then storage here you can see our virtual machine vdi is here then audio devices you can attach from here in networks you can see adapter you have multiple three to four adapters and the first adapter is net by default I'm going to change it to bridge adapter okay you have multiple option as for you uh required and we will see those different types of option in future videos but for now I'm going to use bridge adapter and after that selecting that you can see intelr this is my Wi-Fi or systems Wi-Fi is detected here okay then uh yeah after that here some other things are also USB and all you if you want you can check all other options as well so I'm going to hit on okay okay so this is our virtual machines image is created but the main important thing is where is the UB to we need disk images right so for that we need to download the disk image so go on Ubuntu downloads search for Ubuntu downloads you will be redirected for this site Ubuntu so here you can see download Ubuntu desktop here this is the uh uban to desktop's official page from here you can download UB to desktop or ubub to server once you click you will be redirected to the same page and as soon as you click on this uh button UB 2 desktop image will start downloading I will show you and let's refresh this you can see it's around 4.7 GB and it started downloading so I'm going to pause it as I have already downloaded the uban to desktop image as well and I'm going to show you here it's uban 2 from here right click and uh you can start from here as well and you can click on this button as well so right click Start and here you can see normal start okay now you can see the virtual machine window is here okay now we need to select the disk image so I'm going to S click on it then select others go on my downloads directory and select the dis image and hit enter and I'm going to click on this let's Max let's okay sorry for this let's maximize this window okay now you can see ubu is started okay it will show you this kind of wizard so here I'm going to select install Ubuntu second option I'm going to hit on it then you need to select your keyboard layout and you can check your keyboard as well so you can see I can check my keyboard detect keyboard and yes it's detected right then I'm going to hit on the continue as I'm going to continue with English US keyboard so continue then after update and other softwares so I'm going to install normal installation I'm going to hit continue then after installation type and here I'm going to select dis image based installation and hit on install now okay so here I have selected install now and I'm going to select continue then here it will uh look for the images and here I'm going to select Kolkata India so I'm going to hit continue okay now uh we need to provide our name aay and here uh it's virtual machine name is here so I'm going to provide ae- VM okay this this is my computer's name right then my uh username is AA and my password is so I have entered the password let's confirm it okay now password are confirm login automatically I'm not going to enable it use active directory no need and I'm going to hit on continue so ub2 installation is started you can see here now it will show you this installation complete message and just hit on restart now so here we are on the login page of uban 2 and you can see aay as user or you can login as a root user as well by providing a username here and username as root and password so I'm going to continue with AE and I'm going to hit enter so now you can see I can access my UB to virtual machine so I'm going to skip this thing for now next next okay this are all the apps yes so this is our virtual machine or UB to virtual machine so let's go and check is internet connection working properly so this is our Firefox let's go on new tab and let's try to access YouTube yes now you can see uh I'm here I'm able to access YouTube that means I can access the internet and uh that's why we can see our uban 2 is installed successfully uh with the help of control alt T you can access the new terminal and you can here add host name commands here you can see host name is a VM that we have already provided so in this way we can set up uban to virtual machine on the Windows 11 system with the help of virtual box I hope you have liked this video and if you think this is helpful for you then please don't forget to share this video And subscribe our Channel we will continue with such awesome videos in the next few
