there are plenty of ways to level up fast in Starfield but here we've got a pretty crazy XP farm starting off you're going to want to find a planet that has both aluminum and iron deposits so we want those to be right next to each other a perfect Planet isn't actually a planet but a nearby moon in the narian system if you head to the narian system it's actually the perfect location because you can get here right at the start of the game since it's a system right next to Alpha Centauri just below the sun is a planet called sumati and that planet's moon androphone is the perfect location for us if you click on this Moon you can zoom in and without actually scanning the planet you can see the biomes on it if you traveled here already you might have realized that the white areas are mountains which have iron deposits and the other biome is the craters the orange area which has aluminum as well as bilirium and helium what we want to do is zoom in on this Moon and you'll see that when you click a spot to mark for your Landing it tells you the biome what you want to do is find the closest possible point to the border of those biomes you want to make it so that if you mark the craters you can just barely wiggle just a hair over and it'll Mark the mountains these planets are much larger obviously since it's on a globe so being slightly off might have you having to run miles out back to the Border in a direction you have no idea where you're going towards it so find that Mark that is right on the border of the two biomes and land there if you get there and you look around and can't see a clear border which is super obvious since one side would be like an orange desert and the other is like a snow-covered mountain region just open up the map again and find the Border again or move over to another spot on the moon where you can see another border between the biomes and land there and see if you can get it I had to travel once or twice because it's hard to find the exact line of the Border sometimes when you find that spot you're going to pull out your scanner and start looking around for iron or aluminum it doesn't matter which because we need both the mountains spawn iron the craters spawn aluminum some of these borders have large transitions between the biomes where it's like blending into the other biome and there usually aren't any deposits in that little area but sometimes there are so with me here I'm running through the desert looking for aluminum and I found some here so now we want to head toward the mountains and see if I can find any iron nearby the aluminum and iron have to be close enough to both fit within the border of an outpost this is super easy to verify and I'll show you how to do it in a second but first i'm just going to run toward the mountains and see if I can find some iron which I did find some here I'm going to now save my game after it's saved I'm gonna run towards what I think is the halfway point between the iron and the aluminum and plant down an outpost which it gives the option for when you open up your scanner place down your Outpost and change the point of view which it also gives the option 4 down at the bottom so that we can now see from like a top view Sky perspective from this view we're now making sure that the aluminum and iron deposits are both in The Outpost border if you take out build mode and take out an aluminum extractor it will highlight the green aluminum and if you take out an iron extractor it'll highlight the iron if it doesn't contain both within this border reload that save that you made if your Outpost was just placed not far enough to reach both just place it again and see if it reaches or continue on and look for another deposit somewhere else you can also use this Outpost as sort of a trick to make it a little easier finding iron and aluminum deposits near each other so say you only found iron up in the mountains you would save your game run towards the desert place down an outpost so that you can change the view to the sky perspective up in the air pull out the aluminum extractor and see if you can find any aluminum nearby if you don't just exit or reload your last save that you made before you place down the Outpost this is obviously much easier to see any deposits nearby because you're seeing from the sky perspective it can much easier see the entire area where if you're just running around you might be running past some deposits that you just happen to not really look directly at so now we've set up an outpost which contains both an aluminum deposit and an iron deposit within the border of your Outpost now what we need is resources quite a lot actually but all of them are pretty common so if you want to purchase them they're really cheap the reason we left this step for after finding our Outpost location is so that now we're not running around with 2500 pounds of resources trying to find a good location for The Outpost the resources you can get at a lot of different shops I believe one of the Traders on Mars and the Crimson Fleet ship so what we need I mean a lot of different shops sell what we need but so does the UC Distribution Center in new atlantis's commercial District so head there located in the Alpha Centauri system go to new Atlantis and fast travel or take the tram over to the commercial District straight ahead of where you get off of the tram is the UC distribution who you can speak to and grab all of the necessary resources which for everything we need it obviously depends on the size of the deposits you find but you're gonna need at least 200 aluminum 50 beryllium 250 copper 300 iron and 50 tungsten I would probably load up with as much extra tungsten as possible though or buy all of these in the shopkeepers menu over and over until you've reached like 1900 kilograms of weight that's generally the best way to do it so that you're not just sitting there checking how much of everything you have and at that weight you should have enough of everything she sells all of these and I gave you them in alphabetical order so that you can buy them from her quickly and then in front of the counter there's a chair that you can wait in for 24 hours to refresh her inventory this is by far the most annoying part because you just gotta sit here and wait 24 hours which takes forever in this game now you're just gonna have to hop your extremely Overcomer itself to the tram then to the ship then fast travel directly back to your Outpost which you can do once you've made it on the ship getting to your ship isn't too difficult if you don't mind using some Med packs to heal and running around without oxygen now your outposts were back in build mode change the view to top view and take out an aluminum or iron extractor you want to take it out and fit as many as you can onto each deposit iron and aluminum it doesn't matter what order but there are different extractors for each if you have more Advanced extractors unlocked you can use those but if not you can replace these later with higher level extractors by just deleting the lower level ones and then adding on new ones it's not extremely important how you place these but you want to fit in as many as possible you can also adjust these later by getting off of build mode and clicking them but yeah you should be able to get at least five or six extractors on each deposit unless the deposit is just very small these extractors do exactly what it sounds like and looks like they take the resources out but we need somewhere to store our resources so now we need storage go to the storage Tab and both aluminum and iron require solid storage so we're going to place a bunch of these maybe like 10 to 12 for now next to your iron and then another 10 or so storage crates next to the aluminum the reason we separate them is mostly because your deposits likely aren't the same size so they extract at different rates so you don't want your storage to eventually fill up with only iron or only aluminum if you're having trouble getting these storage containers to stack or go into a certain slot you can also rotate them while they're snapped onto another object and it'll get them to move to a different position it's kind of weird and it's really annoying to deal with at first so now we're going to get out of build mode by just pressing b or the tab or Escape key but stay in The Outpost mode you need to hover over each extractor and click or press the right trigger to create this red laser this red laser is basically the path that the extracted resource takes to the storage take each one on each extractor and place it onto one storage container for each resource so take all the aluminum extractors and place the red line onto one storage container on the aluminum side then take all the iron extractors and align them to a single crate on the iron storage side now we need all of the storage to share each other's space and share the resources so that they don't just fill that one container we aligned with them to so this is done basically the exact same way we just click or use the right trigger to select that container that the extractors are extracting to and then click one of the highlighted ones click that one and then click the the next one you're basically connecting all these containers to be able to send the resources from the one to the others so you're clicking the ones that are no longer highlighted and then selecting one that is highlighted blue the ones that are highlighted blue are not yet connected do that for all of them on your iron and then again for your aluminum side and we're almost done we just need power to run all of this which is super simple go back into build mode and tab over to the power Tab and create solar arrays it doesn't matter where you place these just do it far away where it's not going to interfere with your extractors and storage and just get in your way you're going to create enough solar arrays to where your total power down at the bottom is more than your required power so my required power was somewhere around 90 or 100 you probably need like 20 or so of these since each provides us four power so now our Outpost is 100 finished we have the extractors the storage that they're extracting to and now the power to power all those all we have to do now is craft an industrial workbench and place it wherever but it'll power probably be more convenient somewhat near your extractors and everything that way you're not going too far out of your way if you have to run over to your extractors and storage after you craft and place an industrial workbench go ahead and craft a bed and set it next to the workbench as close as possible we're going to open up the workbench and if you don't have any iron or aluminum yet you might want to sleep for 24 hours first but we're going to craft 99 of these adapters over and over again if you're on PC or have a keyboard and mouse plugged into your Xbox this isn't very difficult at all you just double click or hit enter on the Adaptive frame click the end of the line to get 99 and then enter to craft it you can do this extremely fast by hovering your mouse over where it can select both the Adaptive frame and select 99 once that's open and basically you're just spamming left click and the enter key right here I'm not speeding this clip up this is totally doable the pop-up screen that the selection comes up on the animation for it can be skipped by hitting enter so you're double clicking to get the Adaptive frame to open while also left clicking to select 99 9 and then enter again to craft again you're basically just spamming left click and enter if you're on controller this isn't as fast but you can still speed this up by holding the left stick and the directional pad both to the right while simultaneously clicking RB so you'd press a to select the Adaptive frame hold both directions to the right and spam click RB once you run out of aluminum or iron you'll exit the workbench click on your bed and sleep 24 hours the reason for the bed and if not a chair or anything else is because sleeping gives you a 10 XP boost for like 25 minutes and that's increased to 15 if you have a romanced companion with you then you're going to look at your workbench and craft the Adaptive frames over and over again so you definitely level up faster on keyboard and mouse but it's still by far the craziest way to level up for console as well I leveled up to level 100 and I don't even know like an hour most of that time is just sleeping so you can just watch some YouTube videos or something while you do it what's cool is that if you don't have enough resources to make all of these extractors storage containers and solar arrays you can make what you can and then use the resources from this farm that you have so far because they'll give you most of what you need since you're extracting iron aluminum and making the Adaptive frames that are needed for storage you can also go to your extractors delete them and craft better extractors by sliding over which is the d-pad on controller and these increase the amount that you extract by a lot I like I deleted a regular extractor slid some over and was able to fit to a commercial extractors on top of those and it made a significant difference commercial extractors seem to be like a 25 to 30 percent increase in production and the industrial extractors the level 3 ones seem to do about double the extraction rate of the original standard extractors so upgrading these helped out my aluminum from lagging behind by a lot these aren't needed right away but once you have skill points upgrade these as soon as possible just make sure you don't forget to reroute them to the storage I forgot to do this and thought the commercial extractors were just junk but I just forgot to Route it if your extractors aren't working you might have gotten attacked by spacers or are currently being attacked by them right now and in that case you'll need to repair them and the solar arrays when you're hovering over it it gives you the option it also gives you the health bar for them but that is pretty much it subscribe and leave a like for more star filled videos see ya
