Star Citizen has INSANE speed..

today we uh well first of all i just want to have a little gander i've just woken up here in daymar oh beautiful ship look at that looks great also i've just oh no oh no please tell me i can get back in oh thank goodness for that oh my word i thought i was about to get stranded so apparently i don't know if you caught that but apparently uh you wake up with no landing gear in this game that's that's a feature [Music] i was about to say that was the coolest thing just waking up on a planet you know after like uh like a like an expedition and kind of going to sleep and waking up and it's like daylight and daymar it looks so cool so atmospheric the simulation ladies and gentlemen is incredible and then i go out and the freaking aircraft hasn't got his landing gear out so that's that's good that's good that's a feature anyway today oh by the way sorry just to interrupt myself if you want to see me customize this ship on the rsi website so really well i i thought it was a really cool thumbnail an even cooler thumbnail right there even cooler um sort of experience to kind of go through and like pick all the pieces out yeah definitely go ahead and check out that video and also the thumbnail for it i thought was [ __ ] great if i do say so myself anyway uh today we're checking out star citizen's fastest quantum vehicle uh i think it's safe to say it's certainly up there top five uh it's the herald a bit of an ugly one apparently it's got a bit of a cult following a lot of people say it's ugly and i think for that reason a lot of people also really like it um no i don't want to go to i won't go to orissan orison lovely thank you um and i want to check it out because it looks so rigid like it doesn't look like spacecraft at all it has a huge engine on the back and apparently goes really fast so i kind of just want to sort of uh get it out of the hangar and uh give it a go and do some various things with it and see how we get on so yeah if you enjoyed this video of awesome content coming out in the next patch is kind of mind-blowing uh there's derelicts the settlements new missions a lot of stuff is coming out in the next patch bit of a gem of a patch honestly and hopefully also has really nice bug fixes as well from what i hear from people that are currently testing the patch which is really really awesome i'm super super hyped um but yeah it comes to the ptu either like by the time you're watching this video or like in like one or two days time um i'm actually away for a couple of days so i'm not gonna get a video out until maybe saturday evening at the latest um if it doesn't come out by then that's fine we'll obviously have time to make it as soon as it goes live but make sure i can't stress this enough you subscribe for me and my initial reactions of these incredible new patch features it's going to be great i'm so excited i feel like i've said it before i've hit star citizen at like the perfect time because by the time i get to all the content another patch drops and i get to make more videos and kind of experience new things and i'm just i feel like one of the luckiest people to like that's experience in star citizen right now because it seems like so perfectly timed all the content i'm like learning and picking up and then we move on to new things it's just great like we had invictus week just as i was kind of like wrapping up exploring the whole of star citizen and now i'm doing a few more ships that i kind of didn't quite get around to and now we've got this next patch so it's awesome so yeah make sure know why i struggled to say that harold drake harold uh it's a medium data ship so it's kind of unique in the fact that the main purpose of the ship is meant to be data running and as far as i can understand it data running just means sending hard drives from one planet to another i don't know why they don't have fedex or whatever um but hey i guess the herald is meant for that i guess you know your local fedex would be using uh a herald i don't know but look at it my word i have seen this [ __ ] before in uh the drake convention hall but oh my word look at that ah it's kind of i'll be honest from what i can see online it's got a bit of a cult following and like people love to hate it a little bit but i gotta say i love all these paneling and it's a really neat ship i actually think it does have a weapon on it interestingly oh that's tempting it's not really meant oh it's got multiple ass missiles interesting so what a gallon gun and missiles okay oh no no it also does have repeaters interesting okay so maybe some bounty hunting with this thing also i gotta say i don't know who who decided this thing needed like four inch wings but i kind of appreciate it on a on a strange level man this looks really cool uh the inside's pretty neat data systems yes i mean by the way i don't mean to offend anyone by it sends hard drives i'm sure it does more than that um we just don't know what that is yet i suppose but it's kind of a mission um a mission tier if you like that hasn't really come to fruition yet so the ship doesn't isn't actually fully functional but it's quite cool let me turn on the lights actually it's always better to turn on the lights visibility is not too bad i can see left and right pretty well can't see sort of below me but that's quite normal for drake ships unfortunately one thing i don't like about them yeah look at this it's super like duct tape manufacturing as uh my friend bob said to me once that kind of sat with me um you know it looks like it's just about built properly you got some server racks there kind of cool module heat just turn it up why not very cool all data computer stuff got a toilet there i'm gonna be honest i don't think you know if i you know i'm gonna say it's a little bit close i mean my aim's pretty good but after a few after a few drinks i don't know but what does this seat do so this is a support seat i probably doesn't do anything i wouldn't imagine yeah doesn't look like it does anything right now but i guess at some point you'll use this to kind of submit data or transfer data once you get to a place to receive and send data i don't really know i'm sure smart people let me know in the comment section that's usually how these videos go so if you want to know more about the ship definitely read the comments because there are smart people in there uh we do also get a bed which is kind of nice it's a very detailed ship actually for the amount of space that this ship has it's a lot of detail oh my word i just can't get over it's literally ridiculous wait this is gimballed so we have a scorpion and bulldogs nice that's pretty cool i wish i could change the loadout while i'm sat here right let's take it out for a little spin shall we landing gear that is the most i don't know if you can say that the landing gear has been put away that's all i'll say wait what okay well it says oh there we go there we go it's in okay feels good feels good got the movement lovely day in austin by the way okay so one thing i have learned is it goes in a straight line pretty fast oh [Music] look at it that's ridiculous so let's actually that's a good idea let's see what it's like uh getting out of orson here because usually that can take quite a while yeah wow this thing is fast i mean i'm not surprised but uh yeah seems fast anyway okay the only thing i will say about the default quantum thing is it does not have much fuel in it so it has 583 fuel and to get from crusader to micro it's 563 so you really really don't get that much fuel uh so bear that in mind i suppose but it definitely got out of orison pretty quickly i swear this thing creaks as well i swear i'm hearing panels creaking actually i just had a thought i want to do stuff so let's go back to daymar we actually got pretty far there we didn't we weren't in it that long let's just go to daymond i really want to do some low flying and then i think i'm going to do some uh some bounty hunting maybe i just really want to see what it's like so let's give it a go all right here we are at daymar i just want to do something quite specific which i saw in a video a while ago someone else do and i was like man that looks fun so i kind of want to do it here and i think this is the perfect vehicle to do it so let's see let's get nice and low to the ground make sure there's no it doesn't seem that bad maneuverability wise i mean obviously it's not great but it doesn't seem that bad okay are you ready so i'm gonna hit that and i wanna do this yes okay oh oh no i didn't think about this can i get up oh god please no no no i need to oh oh no it's spinning no no no no no no no look at that you see that it was like wobbling left and right i don't know if you could tell oh god please no no no i need to oh oh no wait come off the cruise control oh my word that's so funny i didn't think of that hang on hang on so let's lower the speed here i that sucks i can't do what i want to do here but i guess it kind of makes sense this game is somewhat based on reality i guess now let's do cruise control right make sure we're aiming at a good not into a mountain right what i wanted to do at a higher speed which i thought would have been really cool is this look so i wanted to i'm not going to get out just open door okay i just want to make sure that i'm not near it i just want to do this look at that how cool is that just being able to look out and this is probably the worst ship to do it in because quite frankly you can't really see that much i don't know i just really want to do it but i wanted to do it at like maximum speed so yeah whoa that looks cool look at that that is that looks awesome hold up chaps i gotta get me a thumbnail here i guess now would be the time to stand in the window all right hang on let's just aim up a bit like this is live thumbnail capture in action guys right think i'm gonna see what i can do here in terms of uh well one i'm gonna put my speed limiter on and two i'm gonna see how this goes nice see what that how that does i don't think that killed him okay i can't see anyone so i guess i took them all out there was definitely another guy there was the eclipse that i never took down but i can't really see him anywhere so i'm not gonna lie that was a high-risk target and it was okay we only did it with two missiles so yes i couldn't do it again i don't think because i don't have the scorpion ammo anymore but yeah not bad all right so i thought it might be quite cool to simulate if you like a delivery mission of data uh this is not a delivery mission of data but it is a delivery mission if that makes any sense so yeah we're gonna do a couple of pickups here we got three on selling and then we're going back to daymar so be quite nice to kind of do a little classic el clasico delivery mission i think i did one in my last video but you know there is something quite relaxing about space trucking i don't know if you guys agree with that but there's something quite it's just calming you know just cruising around obviously the herald probably not the best delivery vehicle because it hasn't got any cargo space uh really i mean it can carry boxes behind me but it doesn't really have a place for you know big cargo um but it is fast so i guess it kind of worked out i look at us we're just getting there immediately landing gear i love this love this it's great here's the uh entrance here on this side lovely a little bit of a bounce landing there but it'll do great stuff awesome ah so cool all right hello here for a pickup well i actually don't i don't actually know what we're picking up here also one of the cool things about the update going back to that is uh there's gonna be a whole delivery mission uh path which uh is gonna be like non-lawful delivery missions which i think is pretty cool what's that say the post-it notes league game five six p.m pens notepad what oh it's a shopping list fair enough i don't know why you need that by the delivery section but whatever so yeah make sure you subscribed so you don't miss some uh interesting delivery missions here wait a minute oh no i just realized something i don't have a multi-tool with me and i don't have any way of putting this in the ship no this is so your hand okay never mind don't understand that i don't know if that was like a glitch or all right well that's one super weird maybe you can just do that didn't know you could do that all right we should probably break him all right easy does it really the smart part of my brain is telling me i and it's only a very small part it's telling me i should have just gone and got a multi-tool just in case that was a glitch but you know my like i say it's only a small part of my brain so here we are all right where's the entrance here uh oh there's an actual lining pad yeah but who needs an actual
