Spreading 890,000 Gallons of Manure in One Day!

[Music] [Music] hey tractor Chasers I'm excited to share with you this custom manure spreading operation that was working to spread 890,000 gallons of manure in just one day we're going to see all three John Deere tractors and manure spreaders working in the field at the same time and then we're going to go back to the farm and I'll show you the process of mixing up the manure Lagoon so that it can be spread let's go listen to these tractors at work and then I'll get into all the details of how this operat a works and what equipment is being used [Music] for some Farms it makes more sense to have a custom operation like this come in and spread the manure for them one of the big reasons why Farms choose to do this is because it takes a lot of equipment to spread manure and it has to be done in a timely manner early in the spring so an operation like this can come in with their three manure spreaders unload the entire manure pit in one day and then the farm can get back to working ground and planting without ever having to worry about manure spreading and the other big reason why Farms choose to hire this job done is because it lowers their equipment costs not having to own and maintain these tractors throughout the year this operation is running three gen your tractors two 7R 350s and 1 7R 330 all pulling 7,300 G GAA Hool manure tankers these tractors are able to drive over 30 mph which makes them great for Hauling manure down the road [Music] in order to make sure that Farms are only spreading manure at the best times of year when it's good for the crops and also good for the environment Farms are required to have large manure lagoons to store that manure until the best time to apply it the manure can sit in this pit for several months at a time and the liquids will rise to the top and the salads will drop to the bottom to mix up the pit and make it a homogeneous mixture with liquids and salads all together they bring in this noon manure Lagoon crawler this machine uses a high horsepower Caterpillar engine and now to spray the manure back into the pit and mix it around an operator stands at the side of the pit using a remote control to drive this machine around the Lagoon making sure the full Lagoon is mixed once the pit is fully mixed The Wheels on the crawler drop down and it drives itself out of the manure pit it's then loaded onto this specialty fifth wheel trailer to be hauled to the next Farm [Music] I [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] I hope you've enjoyed being out in the field with this custom Manure Spreader operation if you spread manure on your farm let me know what tractor and Manure Spreader you use if you love seeing tractors at work please take a minute to subscribe to the Tractor Chasers channel so you don't miss any videos thanks for watching
