I'm standing right now in our lagoon that's pemmican Caliburn right there all of them near the sand the wash water for the parlor everything from those two barns right there gets pumped into this pit comes out as much liquid as we possibly could in a video or two ago and now we're scooping the rest of the solvent her out so unfortunately because we have Sam betting on this and sinks to the bottom of the pit and for some reason it held up a lot of the solvent here as well so there was about a four and a half foot layer in Europe just solid manure and sand so now we're scooping it out we're using the case loader and we're driving up this ramp backing it out and we can actually see them an ear spreader from here it's a funding 230 lowland or wide-body and we're pulling it behind the same tractor that we pulled the looking winner tank with it's a case Magnum MX 285 now we're just putting them in wrote there's quite a bit it's definitely a lot thicker than we thought basically what these pits are supposed to do is gonna have liquid in it and we could should be able to mix it all up and just pump you know 95% of it over the pipe but we knew this was going to be a problem for sand but we we're kind of hoping it was gonna be this bad but it is there is a lot of solvent or left in here so yeah we're just scooping it out we're just dealing with it it's a pretty big job or we're gonna get it done [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] someone asked me in the comments of the last video how many cubic feet this thing to carry so if the veneer is level with the top walls of it it'll carry 440 cubic feet and once I head over to the krauser I'll be scooping some thicker drier manure I'll be able to keep it up on top of the wagon and at that point it'll be able to carry 600 cubic feet you can also carry a total of fifty thousand seven hundred pounds [Music] this is the ramp that goes up to the concrete ramp once I get over that little ledge there it's concrete down into the pit but up to it it's all dirt and it's getting pretty muddy pretty slippery I'm just gonna scrape all this muck away toss in that wagon and then we're gonna grab some nice dry clean dirt sprinkle it over there cuz I'm slipping around quite a bit now and it's making a pretty big mess [Music] [Music] [Music] that looks a lot better I'll be able to drive down stay a lot cleaner on the loader and it's just gonna be a log grip here and I'm not gonna be sliding around as much if you don't do anything about it right away it's just gonna get worse and worse and worse until the ramp doesn't look like a wrap anymore [Music] we just put that new gearbox on here just checking the oil there's a little site glass at the back here it should be about half-full it's maybe a little bit lower than that but that's pretty good this just loops up all the gears and that's why it broke the last time because there's no oil in there we have a lot of manure from our dairy farm it's a byproduct from producing milk and we got a lot of cows so it's a big job to deal with it all and it's super beneficial to spread it over your land it's got tons of fertilizers and nutrients in it it's got potassium phosphorus and nitrogen in it with this spreader we just spread the manure over the top of the soil it is encouraged to hit it with some tillage equipment and get that manure into the soil you would retain a lot more of your nutrients and your fertilizer from there if you did this unfortunately for us our soil is super sandy and if it gets super dry and we were to break it all up with a piece of tillage equipment it would just blow as soon as the Sun hits it it'll get too dry and it'll be like a sound storm out here [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] we just pulled up to the shop here we're gonna hit this thing with some grease it's one of the basic maintenance things you do to a piece of equipment and this just ensures that it's gonna break down less and it's gonna last a lot longer basically every moving joint on this machine will have a grease zerk this just puts a little bit of Lube in between the two metal pieces where it's constantly moving let's us slide a lot better and it won't wear out as quick like this [Applause] [Music] there's a burn of sullivan here holding that corner of water and over there and it's been seeping into year pay loaders driving through about a foot of this crap now it's getting pretty messy and we're we don't have to clean 100% of this pit oh we're gonna have more than enough storage till next spring so we're probably gonna deal with it then again so our next job is gonna be heading over to those curls and cleaning those out but that's gonna be it for this video guys if you enjoyed make sure to hit those like and subscribe buttons down below and I hope to see you guys in the next video thanks for watching [Music]
