Splitting Big Round with 12 Lb Splitting Maul for the First Time

got it here i return this is a pretty heavy splitting arcs all made out of metal for this big rounds like that so check this out you have right here really thick and long round let's see if we can split it pretty good with this splitting ox okay there goes nothing what we'll have to do is just crack it in four pieces first or you could chop it to this side right here let's it this side right here oh nothing wow there you go whoa flies out but another way to do it is just start to split it in four pieces wow that'll be hard don't missed it but it's iron handle yeah looks like it's better to chop it to the sides because nothing happening if you heat it in the middle it's better to split like that oh there you go nice nice chunk now it's bleed a little bit it's a little bit easier look at that keep going nice keep on going this is nice it kicks it out a little while oh it's heavy to swing okay just walk around it hit right here look at that help this one out you see how my handle twists a little bit nice look at her so i'll let it go a little bit and a twist oh too far out looks like we got a knot over here that's what's happening okay let's just split it in half there you go you see it split right in half one more heat right here nice this is a nice small to split it with and it's a metal handle even if i miss no big deal nice cracks are good ouch it's nice to have it loose to where the handle turns too far in there you go so you don't have to have any kind of chain you can just keep chunking pieces off look at that ah not hard enough wanted to test that let's finish this one off right in the middle nice some people say swing it over the shoulder we can do that it's kind of nice too whatever you prefer i feel like way less to aim like that especially swinging such a heavy axe but i can do it whoop it's nice [Applause] you see if i spin it over the shoulder i get it tired as much and i miss it this is power one more over the shoulder yeah same thing to me just as much okay let's finish it off on this side i like it this way too this is a really damp food over here because it's a big big round it's too throw it over the shoulder yeah sure you get a little more inertia but you still kind of have to swing it all the way around maybe it's more power but at the same time it's just as difficult versus like that i can take a break twist it up and actually let go versus like actually swinging the whole axe i know depends what you prefer both ways nice but to me this way is a little bit easier i can take a break and we're about to be done because he cracked in half that's it very nice i like the axe for the big big rounds
