'South Park Susan' appears before a judge

new developments tonight about the woman known as South Park Susan back in October Susan Westwood was caught on video harassing two African American women in a South Park parking lot she called police on the women and was charged with misuse of the 911 system today Westwood appeared in a Charlotte Court for the first time and let our crew know she wasn't happy to see them NBC Charlotte's Tanya Mendez is live at 5:00 so Tanya what happened today okay so it was right here with with Smuts Westwood was walking when she saw our cameras and said she didn't want to talk that wasn't so bad but what happened inside not nearly so polite because when my colleague Billie Jean Shaw asked her if she had anything that she wanted to say she said miss Westwood turned around and flipped her off Susan Westwood walks out of the Mecklenburg County Courthouse would you like to say anything to the women never ended by assuring the news crews along threatening to sue refusing to answer questions it's clear she doesn't want to talk to our camera certainly did a whole lot of talking to a cell phone camera this past fall though I'm white Westwood went on a viral rent harassing to black women in their apartment complex parking lot issue now Frank here's your baby down here earning herself the name South Park Susan this is she later called 9-1-1 to claim that there were people trying to break into the apartments i mean could be awful and we don't belong here police determined westwoods report was false and charged her with abusing 911 she answered to today in court while her two victims looked on all the emotions came back rising to the top once day in the same courtroom outside of court Westwood downplaying the charges against her so this case has been continued to the end of March for two reasons number one because they want to give both sides time to review the body camera video and also because the charging officer was not here today reporting live I'm Tanya Mendez NBC Charlotte
