good morning and welcome to today's video I hope the wind noise isn't too strong but I've got my wind sock on so let's see what happens but today is a very exciting video it's a very exciting video because we are flying the sling TSI so the plane has been at air shows for the last three months and I've been eagerly waiting to fly it and it applied to check ride this morning with the test pilot Tedder field and now it's panorama will do a little bit of a walk around and show you all the features of newsLink CSI but what an amazing aircraft to fly the speeds that you can get out of this thing which is pretty much a light sport aircraft is so let's start from the front to back I think a nice big upgrade on this aircraft is that the prop cord is much thicker I believe it's still a 68 inch prop but the cord is much thicker obviously for the larger capacity engine and we're running an a master propia which has got a electric prop controller the engine behind this is the biggest selling point I believe of this Ling TSI it has the Rotax 9 1 v engine 141 horsepower turbocharged engine I believe it's 135 horsepower continuous so it's a nice beefy engine there then we got a big duct NACA duct for the intercooler to keep that engine cold well to keep it cool this engine puts out a lot of heat the next most interesting thing about this TSI is that it's got a thinner wing slightly longer one wing with tip tanks I believe we can hold about 126 liters on either side we've got 86 in the mains and 40 in the tips so the wing is slightly thinner and the ailerons are slightly thinner as well I believe in order to get a lower handling speed they've increased the size of the flaps so the flaps are quite nice and slowing you down once you're in that that white arc and then we'll move on to this little back panel here you'll see that this is relatively soft back panel and that is where the parachute is housed so these aircrafts come standard with a ballistic parachute should anything go wrong up there you do have that extra safety feature of having a parachute as we come around pretty much the same tail is the the sling for this particular TSI has a tow hook for towing gliders or banners if you wanted to do that standard trim tab all pretty much the same as the sling for if you guys haven't seen my sling for video I will link it up in the top at the top left hand corner top right hand corner and you can have a watch of that see all the basics of these types of aircraft and then the differences that the sling TSI has so not quite a nice registration they've got going through uniform tango Sierra India which is nice and fitting for the sling TSI quite a nice roomy little baggage compartment so we've got 35 kgs of weight that we can put back there it is a four-seat aircraft so we can have a bit of luggage in the back of there's only two of us or we can carry four people quite comfortably this aircraft wall i believe climate our rates are 1500 feet a minute fully loaded with four people four adult sized people inside the next thing I didn't touch on on the other wing are these new wingtip designs I believe that's for it reduces the drag and it's not quite as large as the this thing for wingtip so that's quite a nice feature and it looks pretty nice with your LED strobe and navs lights on the end other than that it's pretty much a sling for just with a much larger engine much higher cruise speeds much better climb rates all in all definitely the best aircraft sling i've made i believe they'll be making this aircraft in a high wing pretty soon so i reckon it's time we get inside the aircraft think once i'm in then we started up the engine i'll show you all the features that we have inside all the garmin avionics but when i list to our pre-flight and get up out here we'll head into what we call the johannesburg helicopter general flying area we'll do some speed tests you know and show you guys how this thing TSI handles [Music] okay and welcome to the inside of the air club both my cameras are finally recording so now we warm up there we all pretty much warm already because we've just come come up in flight but let me just show you around the inside of this sling TSI the standard package that sling do now are the common packages this is got the common g3x touch honestly I think the most amazing avionics suite there is out there Lily Posse just a few other things with this being ex 905 is turbocharged engine we have lanes instead of Magneto's basically the lanes or your ECU's so we have two ECU sport backup and this is our backups which should anything go wrong with both of these issues we do have an ECU backup all right this has a backup battery if you can see your on this camera we have two voltage readings fun reading from the engine itself and one reading off the backup battery the next thing is that we do help control this particular one is electrically controlled and basically it's called takeoff climb and cruise what they were telling us TECA will give us maximum power 5,800 RPM time will give us maximum continuous power and crews will give us our eco mode oil Pollock controller is ya don't see that once we get up in here Comanche falls back up and then the commoner idea so everything in this aircraft is common very easy to use very intuitive you know I'm not gonna knock any other avionics manufacturers but this is the best out there at the moment I'm waiting for someone to create anything better than this but I think it's going to be a tough job we're going to choir to the johannesburg helicopter general flying area which is the training area material about this at that and we're going to show you the speed at which this aircraft can but also apply you know a relatively slow speeds like its younger brothers whistling - and the sling for phenomena Shoppach tangos will be texting talking to the holding point runway to zero it takes a little bit to get this moving with once it's moving then it's through that inner shell under its own power that means relatively quickly actually if this particular one has a handbrake because this is a steerable nose wheel obviously if you've got a free cosmic nose no you can't have an breaks you have go to toe box ok so put the brakes on there we're loosing 2200 rpm so what we're gonna do is test our controls alright and we're free and correct Oh master switches on we don't have a mixture we don't have Magneto's we have lanes what we're gonna do you're gonna do a run-up just to check that both ECU's are in fact working and then check the fuel pumps as well they'll push to 4,000 as we crossed through 3,000 make sure those brakes are holding and they are that's 4000 rpm to bring it back a touch so we're gonna test lane be fest excellent a is working a nickel 50 no flying area or we do this get either I'm your papa thank you very alright when I'd like to go out over the higher blankets test and then all Dulany all right we should see the RPM increase if we leave lane a off which it is doing in fact right now so we'll put that line a back on wait for the light to go out temperature pushes all on the grain a peer pressure is good alright so we're gonna test our main pumps so we're gonna switch off the loop up we still have peer pressure switch back on the auxiliary pump and test that okay auxiliary pump now by switching the main pump up and we still have your pressure all right and we're going to test our pub so we're gonna take that into manual we're gonna close on the pop out there rpm decreases manifold pressure increases back to fine OPM increases manifold pressure decreases okay so we're gonna go close and then back to automatic to just check the automatic setting is in fact working and it is back our BM up better for pressure down so that's it for engine checks we're gonna check the test for idle make sure it still stays running at idle which it is all clear pressure all pressure is still good back to 2,000 rpm in our Rotax engine all temperatures pressures are holding the green all right and we can pretty much line up our field is on instrument is set up 1 0 to 4 which is about right for this FL actually and harnesses closed and closed temperatures all good set and SIBO to stop all right we're ready to go I want to set this the take-off to get maximum rpm on take a 2-0 will be writing out the routing to the helicopter general factory and all the climbing to 6,500 feet tango Sierra India let's go landing light comes on autopilot stairs strobe light comes on okay we got a slide right across went transponder setup and di is aligned on my to zero and we're ready to go [Music] [Music] so 6520 not replicated 1-3-1 carryover down and we're on the step stoning s page six hours now you can see what [Music] [Music] I think about this autopilot controller honey attitude like this and it's gonna put their go back in a level 10 level attitude all right so let's get our heading back back now we're gonna apply a heading let's go to the West [Music] if you're heading Lecter gonna turn us on a westerly heading [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] we'll be doing a low-pass runway joined final runway two [Applause] we got my family down flying a6300 see we'll be reaching out for panoramas to settle yeah there's no traffic Thank You India it's immensely three notes miles pornography will be joining over 6,500 [Applause] India now whoever has the field will be joining on the arrived on my runway tonight okay so we said I predominate spread a slippery aircraft there so if you need to do there's pretty much put the power back I don't get the aircraft the 80th and manage the speed from there as I said it's got a slipper cortex a while to slow it down so you don't get caught behind those aircraft so hard to do a video when you're in a new head club finish on the concentrate on what you're doing yeah then convert a video [Applause] you guys enjoy this video indistinct yes I believe it's an absolute amazing aircraft another youtuber is actually building his own right now I broke up I wish you luck in doing that because this is truly an amazing echo but I will sit up here on down one power oh they're back now get that speed in 280 and we can put auxiliary pump on all right once you got the speed down there we go we can put the first seven flaps and now we catch altitude with the power so wanna play about 80 knots on Darwin then we're set up for landing go Tigers here and yeah let that one runway you know and we're gonna start to turn up ice take a stage of that and this is where we slow down to 75 ml selves up and we get lots of smoke I'm prepared well just to the left hand side the final approach as it doesn't get in our way traffic tango Sierra the final approach 99 for them this should be interesting through the smoky I still go to their side of the runway but it looks like running some drive to awesome a wedge of the airport which is kind of annoying pull that power back slowed up the runway in sight like a last edge of lap alright that went down at Ted afield Tango's here and we'll be back tracking one way to non-full DMR so cool thank you can sketching this video no this is hop hazard with me trying to figure out up everything that's going on in this aircraft is always like this but yeah I hope you enjoyed this review of the sling TSI pricing on this aircraft is fairly expensive the presenter you're looking about 2.6 million around the base price that being roughly color 190 to 200 thousand dollars that's a what an amazing aircraft to fly I hope you guys enjoyed this review if you did hit that like button subscribe to the channel if you haven't already and I'll see you guys in the next one thanks so much for watching [Music] [Music] [Music]
