yeah drop your oh what is that Runway now assessment's Gonna Roll all the way to these guys together oh yeah that's a lot of road trips I love it hi guys hi to give you my thoughts and a little walk through on what I think is one of the most amazing airplanes in the sky it's become my favorite sling at this point JP was very kind while he's gone back to New Zealand left it in our care and we're certainly caring for it the airplane's been here for a few months now since Oshkosh and it's an absolute Delight to be able to have some time to get to know him foreign [Music] yeah so my friend's got this lovely property he does push flying he's got a strip on there we're building a big Hangar with an apartment in the back I'm gonna live in the back and where is it in Reno oh wow yeah cool very cool what do you think Dylan sling High Wing oh you did the Mt drop too yeah check out that sexy prop yeah you can't just go and buy those as far as I know no they're uh they're rare foreign [Music] [Music] so starting right here in front this this beautiful propeller we've been used to using the electric airmaster props this is our first experience with this and what a beautiful amazing propeller it really makes this machine and this 915 engine it's a single lever control so there's no propeller control it's all automatic and JP got the slightly bigger one since he did the trip not only looks wise but performance wise really does it so Mike's has a formula for this and it just seems to really work um resin infused mold which gives it that airful shape and the Finish we walk up to the airplane yeah and if you just walk up to the door you press the handle in and the door opens no funny anything it just opens beautifully to reveal an amazing interior from the finish of everything the latch and everything is neat and clean it closes beautifully like that if you look at the interior of the finish the design of the door the armrest that everyone's been asking for in the TSI they've got it a beautiful handle all the bags and things for your for your phone for your stuff for your keys whatever you need and then the way it opens from the inside it's absolutely beautiful finished off beautifully the doors are sealing beautifully then we get in to the interior so let's look first at the seat the seat is easy to get in the back that you just fold it there's no mechanism needed it makes the hooks there you can do that and you can put the seat down as easy as that so you can fly along and sleep the seat actuation is amazing so you want to be able to move the seat back so this bar lever yeah it's all the way back now easy to get in and out because you just move your leg in once you're in you pull that up and it just slides easily on beautiful rails it's really nicely engineered but then the height adjustment is the beauty you've got a little switch under the seat there and it's all electric there it goes for the tall guys it goes all the way down and you can actually do it on the seat it's got electric actuator that can carry I've put big people in here and move them with it and it just works so look at the amazing interior of this airplane the fact she's gone all out to get an incredible finish amazing design headset hooks the lights the little panel up here JP's got the autopilot and yarn all the light switches the next thing you're going to do is get in and this is one of the big things about the high Wing effectively is ingress and egress and it really is easy they've thought about the handles and everything and climbing in is simply climbing like that you've got a nice handle yeah strong handle grab the seat and you just move it forward and you said apparently it's nice and smooth and clear he uses the VPX so there's no no circuit breakers fuel selectors down here the park brake and the throttle and that's it there's no propeller control as I said earlier the Mt prop is automatic there's only a switch to switch it on setting up you've got your master you've got your two lanes you have your fuel pump Arrangement you have two main fuel pumps and your Boost pump and then just a few switches along here very easy to manage your ECU back up your avionics backup your avionics master your prop add your two transfer pumps for the long range tanks and your autopilot and there's a spare switch there fuel selector they've moved this one slightly different to the TSI so you've got left left and right and to switch it off you actually got to pull that and move it there you won't do that by mistake it's a two-handed action um the little park break for the brakes you do that push the toe brakes and they lock throttle nice and simple with preset friction like all the slings it's Simplicity is beauty it's a little bit like the Tesla as few parts as parts will make it make it a great functioning airplane down there you've got the rudder pedals this being a tail dragger you obviously need toe brake he's got the Behringer Brakes in which are very effective almost too effective but they're great there's beautiful sling pedals and um yeah the little autopilot up here lighting switch up here beautifully finished all nice and smooth so that's the front of the airplane let's go have a look at the back of the airplane as I said earlier easy access the seats without moving any straps or anything you just open it and that reveals a very spacious rear seat beautifully upholstered beautiful bracketry and and mounts and it's as easy as that to get to the back if you're my size that's lifts up you can pack stuff under the seat you can fold it flat you can fold the seats down there's a the same thing there if you take the cushions off you can actually put it flat and you can sleep in yeah in the back here as you can see there's a lot of stuff in the back and it's heavy stuff too this is a whole lot of stuff that JP used for the trip life jackets flotation devices all these cleaning stuff and a whole lot of other stuff if you look in there it's actually really deep you could put a gold a set of golf clubs in you hunting rifles snowboard it's really big so when you go places you take things I think I just broke broke his airplane so so look at this this is really nice I mean I'm learning more and more features of this plan I'm getting to know because I haven't really got this far but if you look at that if you want to take the seats out they've done a lot of very clever thinking you just put that back in and then you'll take the seed out the seat's got two pins at the back here that you pull up and then you've got a huge utility area to pack stuff and all simple and clean and neat and easy to operate put it back in stick that in and your seats back to normal you've got a little lever over here and you can actually set the recline of your seat and so Comfort I know I'm not huge but you know look at that knee space you put a big guy in you like lots of room um and very comfortable the seats through your seat has come towards the front seat and lots of room so um I think that we should load this plane up with four big people and go fly I don't know where I'm gonna put some big people and uh yep nice things they've got here too if you have a look at the back there the position for the headset jacks are nice they used to be inside there they've got them there it's a nice touch and then vents for warm air to come into the back this is basically the same as the TSI Wing essentially this airplane has long range tanks LED Landing lights in both Wings which we all know looks really nice when you come in on Final Approach and you've got these bright lights at night fling take new places as I said and when you go places you need to take stuff easy access to the back here if I can get the key right there's very easy access into the back easy to load the door goes out of the way and you can easily load things in and out you can see the excess there's a lot of a lot of room to go in so you don't have to load through the door and so what's interesting about the airplane and if anyone doesn't know up to here this is aluminum almost exactly the same as the TSI and from here forward the center fuselage is all composite it's made of carbon fiber Kevlar and fiberglass going back they've done a really nice big effective vertical stabilizer and rudder um in the normal style but it's one of the things they made larger it is nice and big it is very effective the airplane tracks very well handles Crosswinds really well they've got a very nice tail wheel on there some tail wheel at the moment this playing with that and Alaska Airlines I think Celeste was something but developed in Alaska it's got a suspension and everything is going to try that the elevator is similar to the TSI it's got electric trim on this nice long trim very effective and then on this side interestingly it has if you look at that in in the neutral position it's neutral as if you go down a stage neutral but as you give it up elevator it starts giving extra down trim and what that does is help you with stick pressure when you're pulling all the way back and then you've got the parachute in the back cap um which JP doesn't have but this is where the parachute shooter skin will be in here rocket will be in there antennas and that all on Top's nice and otherwise it's a it's a TSA and it it doesn't fly the same as the TSI because it's not a TSI it's a highway so it has different characteristics but it's an absolute Joy To Fly it's a joy to take off with it's enjoy the land and JP better come and fetch it because otherwise I'm going to disappear with it and it's going to take me places so stay tuned do you get it we're going to still have some Adventures over
