Skyrim - Dawngaurd Completion Guide

how's it going guys today this is the dawnguard completion guide this is everything dawnguard related lots of quests lots of shots everything in the forgotten veil the sold karen lost to the ages and more now we're going to be moving super quick and i'm going to be starting with all of the pieces to get the crown that i was wearing just a second ago first you want to come to mizzolft get the first of four glowing crystal shards just behind this door and then right after that we are going to be headed to this one rabb thar for another glowing crystal shard number two out of four make your way all the way down and you'll find this guy get all the bones out of all the gears around the room here make your way through boom okay and now you want to fast travel to morthol and then walk over to deep vote crossing and here we get three out of four of these shards run up this hill over here hop around the altar another beautiful shard and then we want to come over here to this dwemer ruin for the last shard and another unique bow exclusive to the darn guard dlc that's the room you came in right there and this is just before the last dwarven puzzle there is this unique bow here zephyr and it fires thirty percent faster than a standard bow just a regular dwarven bow looking though come up to the puzzle i'll show you the code one two three four five and here we have the last shard and then come over to these ruins put the pieces in the puzzle together after you combine all the shards you just make your way come on let's down and kill the forge master and i'm going to be honest guys the only choice here what i make 10 times out of 10 is the crown i recommend you do the same and that way i use the ritual stone and the astronaut stone in that order so you can keep summoning people like the night king but now we're gonna come to arc wind point just close to these ruins and this is the first shout of dream vitality that is also new with this dlc for the first of three all right that's good now i'm not going to hold your hand to getting to the dawnguard what we're looking for in this damn hollow crypt but once you come and listen to these two talk if you stick around long enough eastern will give you a crossbow and that's your first crossbow and now we're coming to dim hollow crypt where you get serrano make your way down get your hands stabbed and find my favorite girl in the game let's run on my deer and then as you're leaving you guys you do not want to miss the second shot of dream vitality which is in the little arena room and that's pretty much all there is in all of them hollow crypt then you want to make your way over here to castle or in a cave anywhere just out of this and you just bring serena back to her dad and it is at this point where i recommend you make a save because this is where you decide if you want to be with the dawn guard or be with the vampires and i decide to go with the dawn guard so i get banished right after this after you turn down the vampire lord but if you want to do the dawn guard you can still complete the dawn guard and then be a vampire lord at the end anyways just for fun because sorana can turn you into one anytime like all mortals i banish you and after this there's no more coming back in until the end when you clear them all out and now we are putting the dawnguard back together there are people i've met and worked with over the years we need their skills i think we'll want serene girard you'll also want to find gunmar bring the two of them back here all right so we're gonna go and grab gunmar really quickly and he's just over here and you just have to talk to him and kill some bears real fast track this damned bear for two weeks super simple and when he goes back to the dawnguard castle he becomes a traitor and he can train trolls and sell you them as pets and now we're going to get serene gerard and you can either speech win her or just grab some dwemer cogs that are on the beach for her and she will go back i'll finish up here and head in that direction as soon as i can all right israel you've got us all here now what do you want hold it right there what are you doing making sure you're not vampires and then after this encounter is when sorana comes to the castle and then after you all get to talking you are sent out to find the moth priest now i'll just show you where he is you want to come to dragon bridge and at this point i gave serrano all my best gear this is on my god account if you want to see the video to get all these stats on all this stuff including this gear i will be making in the darn guard dlc a little later on in the video you can watch that video on my channel but anyways got cerano suited up in a destruction outfit with the mesa molog ball because she's a vampire and then you want to just ride over to this holdout and you come in here and you'll find the moth priest and then one of them will have this little stone on them slap it in there and then just beat down the moth priest since i have my little crown ability with the ritual stone i got a bunch of minions to fight for me and i just get to enjoy myself and then after you talk to him now he will go to the dawnguard castle to read the elder scroll if everyone will please be quiet i must concentrate i see a vision before me to know the complete prophecy we must have the other two scrolls i must rest now okay and now that we got gunmar and serena here we can start talking to them well the first time you talk to gunmen he'll give you a darn guard outfit and sell you other stuff too i prefer to buy the heavy set and that's what it looks like cozy little place and then the third member of the crew that you need to go get is florentius saint florentius and send him to join the gang back at the castle i knew it what can i do to thank you i suppose i could i want to add something and then we're going to start drilling out the crossbow missions guys because they're the only ones you can do one after the other so first we're going to be getting just the regular schematics to make the regular crossbow all right there are six quests to get schematics here let me show you how it's made i've got more leads on additional dwemer plans okay and now we are looking for the fire bolt this is the radiant part so it will be a different ruin for you guys than it is for me i was just starting to get bored here let me show you how this works and then after the fire bolt we are going to be finding the exploding ice bolt all right exploding ice bowl let's see what you've got from that in here let me show you how it's made wanna head out there and now we are looking for the exploding shock bolt all right grab that back already starting to think you like this as much as i do and now we're actually looking for the first dwarven crossbow schematic and then finally the enhanced dwarven crossbow schematic all right one more this is the best crossbow there is so come over here make your way down you know the drill a good decapitation before the treasure every time you never disappoint what have you got there and once you get it all guys is what we got going on the enhanced crossbow ignores armor and now we just drill florentius's and gun mars quests back to back to get the dawnguard relics now they will send you to towns to clear in a vampire or to hideouts and once you go into the towns just try not to get caught my troll is standing in the way very good that's one lesson and you need to worry about it after you do enough then gunmar will tell you to speak to florentius kill the leaders of your success and then you will start relic hunting this incarnation of the dawn god had at one time some interesting toys you should look into retrieving it okay now we're going to get the rune hammer first i've come for the hammer all right and when you get this hammer you can place a rune down when you block and hit the attack button for 50 points of sun damage no cost to magicka so you can just keep slamming that thing down if you want well done i said you'd return victorious rk wasn't so sure okay now we're going to be finding the dawnguard rune shield this is the dawnguard we don't take prisoners now once you find this unique one-of-a-kind shield guys it has a effect where when you hold it up blocking it creates a little sun barrier around you and after that guys we have my favorite of the three which is the rune axe now this axe is the best weapon to use against them dead none shall escape and once you make your way through whatever cave you're in and find this bad boy you will see its ability which is that it does additional sun damage based on the number of undead killed and it can do up to 100 more damage so super super useful now i'm going to be creating the best dawn guard gear possible and everything is in the description guys i'm not gonna bother showing me and chanting every single little piece just that i drank the fortify enchanting potion and now the fortify smithing potion and i'm wearing my fortify smithing and create better potions outfit and making the gear just the best it can be and like i said if you want to see that step by step it's in my god video and she's just such good crazy armor once i'm wearing my suit that makes my one-handed and bows do more damage these are the new stats which is my darn guard gear that i enchanted the bow bows and one-handed do 40 47 more damage on a ring a necklace and the gloves and the boots so that my one-handed bows do the most they can health regen stamina regen on the chest piece and then just the regular head now we're coming to the courtyard and you're just gonna make your way to the courtyard guys find the three pieces you need that are within the courtyard just to get down here very clever i've never been in those tunnels before and the only thing i'm gonna point out guys once you make your way through these tunnels is this is one of three outfits of the royal vampire armor just in this corner here and then once you pull that candle make your way into her mother's laboratory i'll just show you here you want to grab her diary and then just the items we need to get into the soul cairn and there are two ways to enter the soul karen guys you can become a vampire or you can get a little bit of your soul soul trapped and since we're doing the dawn guard i'm just gonna soul trap myself and it just makes you a little bit weaker incredible your health magic and stamina that is so soul trapped me sirana that wasn't a soul trap okay guys now we're gonna be moving real quickly and this is the soul cairn everything in it we're going to start off with jibs opus i'm going to come over here and this is page 8 the first out of ten now from here just follow the path and then come to this building on the right and you'll find another page of jibs opus page six and you wanna run out turn left at the wall after you hear this guy ask about his horse and underneath this massive soul gem is another jibs opus page three these soul gems will drain you while you're under them so just be careful and now we just want to come out and run right along the wall all the way until we come to this stairs area right here for page one of jib's opus all right that's everything in this first little area and immediately come through and turn right you'll find this little building and just outside here on the barrel page 10. now there's the castle i'm going to be using the background as reference points in most of this video seeing as there's no maps you want to turn right from the castle and head towards this glowing pillar and just slightly veer to the left and right over here page five of jibs opus all right so here's the reference points uh tower there in the castle there now we are going to be headed back to the one tower just over this way and just veer a little bit to the left and this is for the spell tomb conjure wrath man the best one of the three you can get from the soul cairn this big boy right here okay now after we grab him we start headed back this way towards the castle keep to the right wall of the far castle in the distance and then just break off this way a little bit and we are going to be getting the skull of our back to summon our vac so that the rest of this goes much quicker come up here grab that kill all the guys surrounding the area and then just look this way in the distance and you will find this guy to talk to you saved him i'll teach you how to call him to you okay now we get to summon this little guy which is my favorite because you can have this guy in massive areas that are indoors unlike a real horse so now you want to head towards the floating pillar and then just go a little bit to the right and you will find another page of jibs opus and conjure mist man two birds stoned at once and this is the ice mage not as good as the wrath man but still kind of cool and then from this way we're just going to want to head towards the castle you will see this building here with this soul gem on top and you want to come up here and this is to get the first of three reaper gem fragments to fight the secret hidden boss okay now you're going to want to keep along the castle wall right towards the castle and then take your first right after the stairs and we are going to be finding another page of jibs opus all right now we're gonna head straight outward from the castle wall towards that far pillar in the distance and you're gonna come across this big building go right around back and then get off here hit the teleporter and on top we have the second out of three reaper gem fragments okay now we're gonna be looking at that castle there i don't recommend you jump off like me if you don't have lots of help and then you want to head towards the castle but turn left and head towards that far pillar in the distance all right keep headed back and back and you will come across this cemetery and this is where we get the final spell tomb conjure bone man the archer and then from this cemetery just keep heading back towards that pillar and aim to the left you'll see that little soul gem floating over there i just come right around jump up here and we get the third and final reaper gem fragment okay now from here we want to just head towards the castle and you will come across this big huge building here's the castle there make your way all the way through to the back corner jump in the teleporter beam up and you will get another of jibs opus around the back of this table here or chest i guess i should say page nine right now you want to keep heading towards the castle and right on this side of the castle ignore the grass the cyberpunk on this far side of the castle you want to come up to this broken ruin right at the base of this chest jibs opus page 2 that is 10 out of 10. and then from the very front of the castle okay you want to head straight back to that pillar in the distance and along the way you will find jib himself finally i never thought i'd see these again these pages meant the world to me thank you oh wait a moment here i want you to have these before you go he will give you the locket of saint jib and the book of his opus unique necklace that has an armor rating and can be improved all right now guys that's all the surrounding stuff all that being done we just have to finish the reaper just wanna head back this way there's that pillar for reference we're gonna come in here set it to legendary of course because i'm playing as my god i don't want to kill him in one hit i am the light in the darkness place all of the reaper gem fragments and tough guy will come out of the wall there this is the dawn guard my light shines bright i think i'm scared of you oh yeah he can puke on you this is the dawn guard okay i'm not gonna show me killing all the keepers but you can be sure dernavir is weaker than the reaper all right you kill him then you head over and get your elder scroll and then after you grab your elder scroll you just head on out the front door and dernavir will start to talk with you and give you the shout to summon him stay your weapons i would speak with you i will place my name with you and grant you the right to call my name from tamriel and i will fight at your side as your grazie marzen your ally and that is it for the soul can guys after we do all that we're going to head on out and then you turn this way and unlock the balcony so you can fast travel and now that we're done this we're going to be summoning dernavir you want to unlock the shots to summon him all the way go out in a field and summon him and each time you summon him he will give you the words to the shout soul tear there's the first word in solitaire the first word you soul trap somebody with the second word you soul trap them and kill them and then the third word you soul trap them kill them and then they're summoned to fight for you so it's one of my favorite shouts in the game for sure okay now we're going to be progressing with the actual campaign a little bit of the dawnguard and to do that you need the elder scroll dragon and to do that you need to come to septimus's hideout here and he will give you the lexicon and the sphere and this is part of the regular campaign also so i'm going to show you the quickest way to do it you just want to come to any dwemer ruin i picked this one because it's close but this sphere is a key to get down into the underground map black reach at any major dwemer ruin once you make your way down to the basement and see this thing of course you want me to leave just place it in there and these stairs will open up and i'll just point out this girl's shield because we're right here and it is unique okay now you want to just come down here enter black reach and now it is just so so nice that we have our little buddy our back normally you have to walk down here but with this guy no problem don't gotta be bothered by dwarven machines or giants or anything you can just run past them balmer don't gotta worry about any of it now you want to just walk all the way around the glowing center part of the city until you see this little walkway to this elevator all right come in here make your way all the way up and you will come up to this beautiful thing just gotta put the lexicon in the far right there and then the first button's a trick don't even click it hit this button four times until the next button opens up and then just hit that one until you see the glowing light and then hit that one on the left [Music] what a beautiful sight to see grab that and be on our way now guys i'm not going to hold your hand to finding your way to the forgotten veil but here it is once you get here immediately after you get your first little initiate your bucket filled you're going to come to this pass and you're going to just turn right right here and we're going to be finding the first of four unknown falmer texts and then you want to just walk around the river here all the way take a right and we are going to be killing our first giant and getting our first paragon which is the amethyst paragon the first of five all right now we got that beautiful thing you just want to come this way up these stairs on the right and you will turn to your right and find another giant with another paragon run up jump swipe him in the nuts run between his legs like i did and then you will get the sapphire paragon all right now guys once you walk all the way around you will find this frozen lake just underneath that beautiful little ruin up there at the top of the mountain and just at this rock that sticks out in the middle after the dragons come out of the ice you will find the third and final word of drain vitality all right and that makes three out of three i'm the dragonborn okay now once you keep making your way progressing through the quest you will get to this peak where there is this giant up here and this is just in the big crevice of the mountain right at the start and you're going to be finding the emerald paragon and once you find the emerald paragon right where we killed our second giant is the teleporter that you use the paragons for and you want to come in here and it will take you to a breathtaking waterfall at the top of the mountain where we find our second unknown book volume two this is the second out of four all right now here was where we just killed that last giant where we got our emerald paragon and then we're just walking all the way across these top walkways built by the falmer in the mountains and then you wanna you may not want to make that jump but i'm just saying make your way down until you find this hut here and we get three out of four unknown books and then after you make your way through the glacier pass and come out on the other end right see there's the bridge way in the distance at the top of the crack in the mountains you want to just come up this way and you will find this giant for the diamond paragon and all the stuff that i'm showing you guys is in order of the story so if you miss something you can go back and you'll find it easily all right and this is just as you progress through the canyon right under that bridge in the falmer camps falmer camps you want to just jump down this way follow this path and then make your way all the way back to find the fourth and final unknown book okay guys and then we come up to the very top gotten everything up to this point to the temple of rk and right when you dump your water out of your ear the first room you want to come turn to your left put that guy in here and we are grabbing the fifth and final paragon and giant which is the ruby paragon and when you go to the teleporter to use that this is the second best shield in the game next to spellbreaker i like spellbreaker more than this shield but this shield absorbs impact and can be released upon a shield bash if you let something hit you 15 times it will send it flying you could send things flying with every bash then it would be the best shield in the game but it will be on this dead felmer and those are the base stats beautiful shield definitely the most beautiful shield can't argue that and then as you make your way up gotten everything up till the final you all boss come on we can do this i know we can i'm all right serrano we're waiting all this time for someone with my blood to come along let's see if your blood has any power to it and last but certainly not least on the outfit from this dlc is the ancient falmer armor so beautiful the best light armor in the game in my opinion i absolutely love this set and then the crown jewel of the dlc ariel's beautiful bow now complete that and this guy will give you sun hallowed arrows which you shoot them at the sun and they shoot bursts of light they do not pick favorites it will be anyone allies included that are affected and if you get the blood arrows from serrano they will block the sun here's an example we'll do the sun arrows first i am a god call me talos and then these are the blood arrows so if you're a vampire and you do this during the day then you are unaffected by the negative effects of daylight but downside is shopkeepers get killed in towns now guys i'm going to be drinking my fortify smithing potion and wearing my smithing outfit and making all of the ariel's bow and ancient balmer armor as good as it can be you can see those stats there just ridiculous and then that's the base but then once i'm wearing my dawn guard gear that make my bows do more damage 427 damage okay now for the grand finale we got the squad and we are hitting up the castle right no mercy for the dawn god we don't take prisoners god i love this part of the game there's nothing like storm in the castle we're coming for you know why we're here of course i do you disappoint me she's my girlfriend and then harken has been dispensed with and the final unique in this guide is harken sword guys and it only works if you are a vampire for its effect really beautiful sword though and that is almost it guys not quite for the last thing we have to go to the college of winterhold and once you come in here we can get those falmer tombs translated and unloaded you are now in the arcane do you require assistance yes well well i haven't seen one of these and you will get 1 000 for each of the books and if you're far enough in the campaign you can give this guy the elder scrolls as well and that is it for this video guys i hope you liked it and i got lots coming i will catch you in the next one peace you
