Simple Solution That Will Stop Your Yard Flooding | Naperville Landscaping

foreign landscaping and we are at a potential customer's house and I just wanted to share this problem that they're they're facing right now uh this is a real common drainage problem that we see where garages are uh are getting water in them and a big big reason why is um is they're lower than the rest of the yard you can see over here they actually used to have soil piled up to that first board to try to get it get it sloped away is what the previous owners did which is a terrible thing because then it rots it real bad but this garage is pretty much trash and it's gonna have to get redone but what we're going to do before then is we're going to put in a French drain and we're going to start it back here have it come all the way through here um and then it's going to collect any water through the yard they're actually getting water in the um in the basement over there too so we'll we'll come through here with it and then bring it over um to buy where that that downspout is uh over there and then what we'll do is we'll run a solid pipe all the way out to the front and drain everything but a really really important part of this is making sure that this whole backyard is has a Swale where everything drains to what the the French drain that we're putting in and then uh they don't have much pitch here which is also another common problem that we see a lot in the in the suburbs of uh of Chicago but we'll run a solid line and drain it all out to the front um and then they'll be able to build build a new garage down the road but this this will keep all the water out of the base or out of the uh the garage and basement uh and then at the same time they're going to have a beautiful backyard because we're going to grade everything and re-sod it and the sod is a really really important part of this because it's going to keep any uh debris and muck from getting uh getting into the system and that's what's going to make it last a very long time um and then this uh this potential customer built asleep at night enough not have to worry about flooding uh flooding in their yard or in their garage or basement and it'll uh it's gonna look beautiful and they'll have a spot to make memories with their family thanks
