I'm Mike with wear landscaping and I just wanted to take a second to go over a huge huge problem that a lot of our customers face especially if they don't have a low point for the water to drain in a case like that a lot of our customers yards will literally turn into fishbowls and uh typically a lot of the neighborhood water will flow into a certain point this is where Charlie is right here this is the low point of everywhere in the yard and all the water will typically come right here and then they would they would have ponding all throughout the yard even with a strain in a case like this it wouldn't do a darn thing because it doesn't have a place to drain and to empty out into so in An Occurrence like this it's really really important to install Wells and that's exactly what we're doing right here why don't you come on come on over here and you can kind of see uh in in this application we're doing two two Wells and pumps um and the reason we're doing that is if whenever Burns Out you always have a backup um and then the nice thing about the um TR you show the the float these have floats on them so as the water is starting to come up the the floats will will activate the pump so it's not continuously running um and that's that's a really really important important part but then what it what we're doing then we take PVC that's going to literally go all the way out to the to the back part of the property and you can see back there you can see how it's up higher so it's really really important to have these Wells and pumps and then the the depth too is really important we put these down really deep so then they won't freeze during the winter and that's a that's a really really important part of the process and then we're going to back fill it with a with a bunch of uh 3/4 inch clean gravel and that's going to insulate it and uh and then it's really important too like that gets all the water out but these fren strains right here this is what's going to get all the water into the system we have them you come this way we have them going from the front of the property over here um and this is we're not done yet we'll take a grinder and shave these down but these are at the bottom of the clay so they won't they're not going to move at all you can see everything starts up here you can see the sale the sale going this way and if you continue walking up here this this drainage system is kind of around the entire property it starts for them uh these two are really important we put filters underneath all of the down spouts so those get tied into it and then if you walk over here whenever you see on a property whenever you see sandbags you know that's bad they were they they actually use those to keep water from getting uh getting in the front of their house but you can see all up here this is this is where the system starts uh they have a lot of uh water coming coming off of the front uh Street and then it was flooding in their house this is the primary system out here that's going to going to catch it all before it gets to this wall they have this wall and this was their only kind of Defense in the past um so we the customer wanted us to keep it so we kept it that's not a not a problem at all but then what we also did just to anticipate that these these gutters will will overflow we uh we installed a secondary system all through here but this is uh it's going to make such a huge Improvement for this them and just wanted to go over uh the importance of installing a well in a pump because you you that's a last resort type of thing but sometimes that's the only option to help people solve their uh their drainage problems and just wanted to share it with you guys I just want to take a second and go over the finishing uh product of of uh the French drain you can see when all the sod's in totally brings it all together the sod's a really good conductor that's going to keep the system clean but then is also going to channel everything into the collection basins here this is uh we use we typically use the 6-in catch basins and it's all through the low point of this whale which is really important because you want to be able to make sure all the water is going towards that this part here is actually the backup one in case the um the gutters ever overflow then it'll go into here uh but this customer is facing a lot of problems with water coming off of the streets so we made the main primary sale and French strain all through here so as the water comes down here it's going to Channel through this way even if the system ever gets the capacity it'll flow over surface and it'll come this way the uh the catch basins every 20 ft really help get the get the water into there then you walk over here you can you can see that uh the the catch basins are all at the low point they're really really solid they're not going to move all the down spouts are are tied in the only maintenance he's ever going to have is this right here and all he'll have to do is take his hand and pretty much brush off any leaves there's some big trees up there so he's going to have to do that on a few times a year but then the water will flow all through here um the whole backyard when it would rain real hard because this property's up higher and then the everything back there is up higher um we we installed the the well uh yesterday all through here and that's actually all in this area and you can't you can't even tell the it's here but before without this everything from the neighborhood would pretty much drain right here and then make a huge Lake well now since we put the two pumps and two wells in all the French strains tie into right here and then it's then going to pump out past uh the crown of the yard over there and it'll it'll drain um back to the to the far part of the property and now it'll be dry through here and work out great my wife and I bought this house 2 years ago during the winter um we quickly found out that we had a water retention issue here in the backyard um where I'm standing all the way back to where the hill starts um with basically a pond every time it rained uh spring was the worst and um quickly found out that we had to correct this problem so I went online and uh researched companies that would help me and found uh wear landscaping and Mike came out and help me create a plan they were basically able to do French trains from the front of my house where all the water was coming the water would come around to the sides and it would end right here in the low point and the water would sit here for weeks so they were able to develop these French trins that led to a giant well that they hand dug in the middle of the yard back here um and that Mike was able to develop a plan where we use some pumps that pump the water out from here all the way to the backyard where it comes out of a pipe and runs off naturally down the grade in the backyard um and that was all okayed by the city of weaton and it's working I mean we'll have heavy rains and we get nothing there's no water sitting here I can go out the next day and mow my lawn and my my mower is not getting stuck so uh it's working out pretty well the work was impeccable and I couldn't be more happy
