[Applause] so we got the 40 20 set up to put down 28 which is 28 percent nitrogen now the mix that we have that we have is 28 but it also has liquid potash in it and we're putting this down while we're cultivating to kind of side dress the corn doing this we hope to gain around 10 / 10 bushels per acre and it's something that we've been wanting to do for the last few years actually quickly started cultivating but we've never really gotten around to do it until Andrea got us everything that we needed so we're going to filled up with water make sure that everything works smoothly and then we're going to fill her up and chums going to go cultivate this across the road w nice things see what kind of jump the corn does that's opposing this down it usually does jump a little bit at least just from cultivating it here's the pump it's a 5 gallon per minute foam Delavan now on each row there's actually two hoses run down to the each unit what these do is they stop the flow of the liquid down if you set it off so that way you're not spilling it on the ground after you set it off after you gather roll and there is a control box up in the 40 20 that little blue thing up there that we can flip on off to start the pump how many gallon tanks are these 70 so we got 140 gallons worth of for the storage I figured we can do about 20 acres on one fill-up where's it coming out seven gallons per acre okay so instead of just cultivating I can say we're side dressing with a cultivation bonus yeah this is a noble row runner cultivator and to be perfectly honest I don't know how old this cultivator is it's sat back in the shed for years and he never used it then a few years before grandpa passed he saw it sitting back there and we're like well we pulled that out and have a look at it and it was set up for 40 inch rows it was a four row unit so Travis found another one of these somewhere and we took the spare roller units off and we made it a six row row unit so and now we've converted over to 30 inches rather than 40 and it works really good what I always say is that whenever we do this I mean the corn usually perps up pretty good within the first day and if it's yeah if you haven't been getting a lot of rain I'm not sure if cultivation is really the thing you want to go with we haven't been getting around a lot of rain lately however I think it's okay that we're doing this because they are saying we're going to be getting rain so when you cultivate it lets a lot of the moisture out of the soil and if you're having some drier days it's not really something you want to do is stir up the soil too much so I think it'll work out good force number folks overkill is underrated market come on don't tell me you haven't been practicing on your life we've got to stir up the stuff in the tanks to make sure that it's mixed early it looks good but might as well just double-check be sure so I got to open this up this will allow it to mix back into the tank like I do now start this motor now let us play now on too much weight on there's actually an inlet on the cultivator that Travis mounted that allows us to hook directly up using that tank that a hose that's on the tender however it's different size and what we need so we have to go get an adapter preferably in the morning that's why we had to load from on top it's really not the recommended thing to do but I think this should work pretty smoothly [Music] Oh [Music] Oh you [Music] you [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] do you I do [Music] [Music] you
