hello gorgeous it's finally summer and today's video is about summer shoes and because shoes is the category that can make or break your look I thought it's really interesting to dedicate this video to the shoes that are out of style and can ruin even the most stylish outfit and those that can immediately elevate your look and therefore worth buying we're going to look into five different categories Flats stickers sandals both heeled and flat loafers and the category you can't possibly imagine summer styling without but I'll keep it for dessert so make sure you watch this video till the end a little disclaimer before we start I'm not kind of Silas who relies on Trends a lot I always say that style goes first and fashion is there to have fun and experiment with but when it comes to shoes I would say it's the most trans sensitive category because it's really difficult to update shoes that are out of style you can do it with clothes even the oldest items in your wardrobe you can easily accessorize them and make them look modern and up to date but when it comes to shoes it's quite tricky okay let's start with our first category the biggest trend of the season and of course I'm talking about ballet flats belly flats are not new they were really fashionable decades ago and you may think why would I buy new ones if I have them already from 15 years ago but this is exactly the model which is highly problem out of style because ballet flats from decades ago and those from now are quite different first of all I'm talking about ballet flats with very white rounded quite sloppy toe box they were indeed very fashionable decades ago but not anymore those with cushion sole might be quite comfortable to wear but definitely not contributing to your style those with curves slightly lifted toe box is the feature which again makes the shoes not really flattering for your feet neither really interesting in terms of style and this feature actually counts for everything not only for ballet flats but for sandals and loafers as well but we'll get to that later I'm also referring to Bella Flats with very extravagant details such as exaggerated very girly bows or metal buckle story Birch style ballet flats with scalloped line at the vamp well they were indeed quite fashionable again some years ago not anymore and the last not least is the belt and wedge which again might be very comfortable but it's something which is not really flattering it looks quite sloppy actually luckily there are quite a few interesting options I would definitely recommend to look at they are as stylish as comfortable and they're not only on Trend but actually quite Timeless so it's definitely a very interesting investment if you are looking for a good pair of belly Flats so first of all I'm talking about these modern ballet flats with slightly elongated toe it might be squares likely rounded as long as they have this pointed toe which elongates the silhouette and looks can live without them and there are quite a few red and flattering Auto style options even among the most famous designers Brands so let's have a look at them first of all I'm talking about the wedges Allah Isabelle Moran style they were popular decade ago really much on Trend but finally should be left behind stickers with training soles Air Max included are perfect to go to the gym grateful hiking Sports whatever but they're not really City appropriate they're neither flattering nor interesting in terms of style the third category I'd like to draw your attention to is the slip-ons which haven't made their comebacks so definitely not worth buying now the mule sneakers again something I found quite weird and unflattering so if you are looking for an open heel shoes I would definitely recommend to go for regular mules which look both feminine and stylish and definitely is a better alternative than mule sneakers sneakers with exaggerated soles and Dad sneakers are luckily left in the past and even though some big designer Brands tried to make their comeback through engaging very big influencers this trend hasn't revived yet and the last category is the sock sneakers again they are out of style I've never found them really stylish neither flattering and definitely if you don't have them please don't buy them right now they're not worth investing in as for the models I would definitely recommend in terms of style and versatility I would first of all start with light canvas sneakers on rubber soles like classical Converse low tops you can find a lot of Alternatives among other brands of course mine for example are coming from Isabel Moran and I've been wearing them for more than two years now and they're definitely my favorite summer trainers Adidas are this Timeless model which is time Trend this season and they come in a huge variety of different colors so in case you want to bring some color accent into your summer style it's definitely a great option New Balance are for those who prefer chunkier models and I must say that despite them looking quite heavy they are honestly the most comfortable pair of shoes I've ever had and they go pretty much with everything from jeans and linen trousers to skirts and dresses classical white trainers are obviously never out of style because they're very neutral extremely versatile and they give more feminine look in combination with skirts and dresses and last not least is this retro 70s inspired sneakers which normally come in combination with fabric and Suede and have very light rubber soles again it's quite Timeless model not as easy in terms of combinations and versatility as the white sneakers but they definitely give more casual city rather than sporty look foreign let's talk about sandals now we'll first start with flat sandals and when we also look at the healed ones as well first of all when it comes to choosing sandals what you need to remember apart from your personal preferences is also your bone structure and the structure of your feet women with fine bone structure normally tend to have more narrow feet with longer toes and therefore they look great in shoes with very fine straps and very delicate thin soles when we talk about women with heavier builds and wider ankles they look better in shoes with wider straps probably the mules with thicker soles and it is not even the question of looking great and the question of style but also the question of your comfort because you may notice that you feel much more comfortable in white strap sandals rather than with the thin ones if you have wider feet and the sandals which are definitely not recommend to buy right now are first of all the thong sandal cells they're quite demand Us in terms of feet they rarely look flattering they really need to have almost perfect feet very long toes to look nice and numb and especially those with oversized metal buckles and different kind of embellishment are definitely out of style at the moment then it's the sandals with elastic straps might be comfortable but again neither flattering no interesting in terms of style adds also the Gladiators which were very popular again some years ago but first of all they rarely look flattering on anyone a part of the models on the catwalk they really require long and perfect legs and they're not really on Trend now so definitely not worth investing in I'm not gonna talk about Crocs because I'm sure you keep it only for your gardening activities it's also the sandals with slightly curved and lifted soles which I mentioned also when we were talking about sneaker and ballet flats and the last not least is the TiVo sports sandals which are again might be super comfortable to go hiking to do some sports activities but they're not really the most stylish and flattering shoes and among those that are definitely worth buying up first of all the classes lights with thin soles which are very feminine and sophisticated at the same time very comfortable as well the only butt they have is that they mainly suit narrow feet if you have wider feet I would recommend you to go for slides with wider cross straps which will give enough support to your feet but at the same time look very modern fresh and up to date strappy sandals is my favorite option for the summer and again you can choose between thinner straps if you have narrow feet and more delicate structure or wider ones if you have wider feet and heavy ankles flip-flops are never out of style you have those with thin soles if you prefer more elegant feminine look or with flat forms like iconic the raw model if you prefer more minimalist modern look chunky sandals are still on Trend this season again there is a big variety of different models you can go for a more classic Model with double strap or if you like to add trendier model to your collection then the one with the wrap around the toe is definitely the most popular this season and your favorite Birkenstocks they definitely proved everyone that they can be not only functional but also in style I personally don't wear them but if you are a Birkenstock fan you can be sure that you are definitely on Trend this season and last not least are the fisherman sandals which were popular last season still on Trend this season and if you prefer more modern edgy minimalist style they're definitely a great option for summer okay let's talk about heeled sandals that are out of style first of all it's the peep toe shoes which are very feminine very girly looking but because they have a very outspoken retro 50s look they really look out of style and quite outdated unless they're really high on Trend which is not the case at the moment the second category I'd like to stress your attention is the wedges and I'm talking about the chunky wedge which is very popular you see it a lot on the streets and a lot of women find it really comfortable but it's not really flattering for your feet it makes your feet look heavier and it's not really the sexiest and the most stylish shoes you can imagine but they have made their comeback but it's a totally different wedge it's much thinner more delicate and this is what is on Trend now again it's very trendy model I don't think it will stay for a long time so you decide whether you need it or not but definitely something I wouldn't recommend and fasting in the third category is the Stacked heel for some reason it's very popular and I think again a lot of women consider it very comfortable very practical but it's exactly the feature that make your shoes look a bit more out of style and outdated and apart from that the only function it has is just purely for decoration because it's as comfortable and as practical as any other regular heel cage sandals is the category that is definitely one of the most unflattering ones because it breaks your silhouette it shortens your legs and definitely it should be left where it belongs to which is a decade ago and the same argument goes for booty sandals again it's such a weird model a bit vulgar would say Vamp shoes they call them as well but again they were popular decade ago not anymore definitely not worth investing in this kind of shoes strappy sandals with medium or kidney is a very good investment for the summer they're super feminine versatile and it's a great way to dress up any of your summer outfits and the good news is that you can find a lot of pretty and quite comfortable options among affordable Mass Market Brands such as Zara mango and H&M and if you feel less confident about showing your feet then mules are a very good stylish alternative the ones I'm wearing are also from Vive they are absolutely comfortable you don't even feel that you're wearing heels the negative texture is super soft so it's a really very good example of heel shoes that are comfortable and stylish at the same time and if you prefer high heel and more dressed up option you can go for these kind of mules in white or nude color despite the heel they are actually very comfortable and again so easy to combine with any of your summer outfits I bought mine from Magda boot room couple years ago and I wore them almost every single summer day and I'm sure I'm gonna wear them a lot this summer because they're quite Timeless and again so versatile and of course my favorite model is the sling bags which I'm wearing actually the whole year through winter included they are in between sandals and pumps which makes them so versatile and you can go for Kitty meals or medium heel there is a lot of choice different shapes different heights apart from stilettos I would not recommend to go for slingbacks with stiletto heels because they look quite weird and in my opinion quite vulgar as well and talking about more dressed up summer shoes I would definitely mention lace-up sandals obviously they're still on Trend it's quite Timeless very feminine model and if you're afraid to wear lace-up shoes because they might visually shorten your legs just go for nude models this way you will still have this beautiful sexy detail and keep your legs long and last not least are the PBS sandals obviously it's more trendy option of summer shoes but I would definitely recommend them is because there's so much flattering and elongating for your legs and again very versatile because of this transparent material they sort of blend into your outfit and your skin tone creating the impression of barely their sandals foreign next category is the low first the first model I would definitely not recommend investing in is the loafers with grippy Luxe soles and I think when you look at them you immediately understand why I do not recommend them not lettering not feminine not interesting in terms of style the second model is those with elastic straps that slip on models again we talked about it it was popular a decade ago it didn't come back so definitely not worth buying at the moment the loafers with perforated leather and it's the feature that makes your shoes immediately look outdated and not really stylish and it counts not only for loafers but for sandals and pumps as well so I would definitely stay away from those ones loafers with wedges and heels it's a very awkward model and I think in general when they try to combine two types of shoes in one it never looks good it really looks quite weird quite frumpy so definitely not worth buying loafers and driving shoes is a very controversial category because it may look stylish may look very interesting but because it's initially masculine shoes nine out of ten they don't really look flattering neither stylish on women and they're extremely difficult to style them with clothes especially skirts and dresses and the last not least are the mules and we all remember this big trend on Gucci mules with fur insoles they were so big and I think this is exactly the reason why they're out of style at the moment because they really look too much as from those that were popular a decade ago so would I wear them if I had them already probably yes would I buy them now definitely not as for the loafers there are four different categories depending on your personal style the first one is the chunky loafers they're more interesting for transitional season but they may work for summer outfits as well you can wear them with white jeans linen trousers shorts or even pair them with summer dresses and skirts in combination with short socks there are the penny loafers very stylish a bit retro looking but quite Timeless option definitely on Trend now textured loafers remind us of non-smoking shoes they're good option for summer because they're very soft you can wear them with bare feet they're easy to style but mainly work with trousers and shorts and the last not least is the Slick loafers for those who prefer more elegant sophisticated style they're very flattering and elongating for your legs and you can dress up any of your summer outfits it's a great alternative for pumps if you prefer flat shoes and my favorite category when it comes to summer shoes and summer styling and those are espadrilles espadrilles are so stylish they're extremely versatile super comfortable but of course there are some nuances as well instead of buying a Studios with thin wedges go for medium width model which is not only more comfortable but also Timeless and will never be out of style foreign [Music] slingbacks with peep toe with a bow and a print opt for sandals and dynamos some graphic print and stand they will create accent and elevate your look but in a very modern minimalist way black souls or combination rubber with canvas with elastic straps look quite dated and frumpy as per drills on classic Jude souls in canvas suede or leather are great option for casual summer shoes or if you'd like to add some extra inches yet keep it very comfortable you can go for flat forms with ankle straps very tall platforms might elongate your legs and make you appear taller but is not really the safest option to walk as an alternative go for wedges Saturn platform of
