foreign ERS does it often occur to you that you look at yourself in the mirror and realize that there is something wrong about your outfit but you don't know what exactly the clothes you're wearing is fine but something still doesn't look quite right remembers they say the devil is always in the details and most of the time it's this tiny little things like the hemline of your skirt or the sleeves of your jacket or probably the way you tucked in your shirt that creates this really awkward look so today I'm talking about most common style mistakes that ruin your outfits and very easy styling hacks that immediately fix the situation and allow you to look polished and put together don't worry you don't need to buy new clothes lose weight or run to the tailor it's all about the magic of your fingers and this little secrets we stylists normally use but only share with our clients so let's get started hold on before we start one of the very interesting styling hacks you can see on me already do you have any idea what it is no then you should definitely watch this video till the end of course the first thing I'm gonna talk about is the tuck it's probably the most game-changing hack you can learn because it doesn't only Define your look but mostly important your proportions and the way how your figure looks in the clothes you're wearing as you see here if I leave my shirt untucked I'll cut the figure into meaning long torso short legs rather than flattering silhouette and equal proportions which most of the time looks quite boring and not stylish at all however tucking the top is not always that obvious especially if you're wearing trousers or skirt and thin delicate and or transparent fabric if I simply tuck this shirt inside the trousers it will not only be seen under the silk fabric but also create some bulky and voluminous effect around my waist and hips this is not how you can show up there as a stylish lady if you want to add casual Cool vibe to your outfit half talk is a perfect way to style your top tucking The Hub of the front section of your shirt letting the other side hang loose if the side is too long to avoid extra bulk under the bottom simply fold the fabric inside and tuck it in it is important to tuck in the side with the buttons and let the other one loose this way it will lay more flat and look more accurate this way of talking hides belly bloat plus the side that hangs loose creates a symmetry that not only adds interest to your outfit but also creates elongating effect for the silhouette making it look taller and leaner this technique works perfect for all figure shapes top and bottom heavier women and also for those who care a bit of volume the mid section because of its elongating effect and also it emphasizes mid section and hip areas and talking about tailoring and most flattering fits for your figure I know that a lot of you struggle to understand what figure shape you have which silhouettes bits and fabrics work in the most complementing and flattering way for you so I have created a very handy and straightforward tool a style quiz where you can answer just two simple questions about your height and your most styling hacks and also I have included working outfit formulas for different occasions I'm sure you're gonna have a lot of fun with it it's like having a pocket stylist when you go shopping to understand immediately which fits and which Silhouettes work for you and which are better just to be hanging on the rack so please don't forget to go to the link under this video and get the guide and start using it in order to dress look and feel your best French duck is another great way to create this effortless casual yet Chic look by only tucking the front of your shirt leaving the back hang out in a waterfall button your shirt to right above the top of your trousers take the end of the blouse and in case it's too long just roll it inside to avoid extra bulk and then simply tuck it inside your bottom to create beautiful asymmetrical lines on the sides just fold the fabric inside on the sides and there you go this styling technique works for bottom heavy and balance figures and also for petite women because it raises the waistline elongates the legs in the silhouette and makes you appear taller and leaner if you want to achieve more polished look go for a full tuck there are a few tricks hard to tuck in your shirt without letting it stand out under your bottom and the first one is to fold the excess fabric inside to make it just long enough to be able to tuck it in inside the waistband of your bottom this way you create a smart put together look without worrying that your shirt is thin through your bottom it works both for top and bottom heavy women and also for balance figures creating beautiful one-third to two third proportions elongating the legs and the silhouette and making you look taller and leaner another way to handle the excess fabric on your shirt is simply by using an elastic hair tie button down your shirt then fold the excess Fabric in front of pull the fabric to the back twist it in your hand into a tail and tie it with an elastic hair tie hide the tail inside pull the fabric to loosen it up a bit just to be able to tuck it inside your waistband spread the fabric equally around your waist and you're ready it looks Flawless it doesn't create any bulk or puffiness and you feel safe and confident that everything is in its place fixed and attached and the last hack of tucking in your top that is especially useful when you deal with Javier and stiffer Fabrics which can't be folded or tied up as my example here so you may say maybe I just let it loose and go like that but it doesn't look neither flattering in terms of silhouette no interesting in terms of style and therefore you may use a bra hack if you're wearing a bra or bralette underneath your shirt you can tuck the bottom part of your shirt into the undergarments you are wearing under your shirt the rest of your shirt hangs down and you can adjust the length as needed by tucking more or less of the bottom Hem of your shirt as you see it looks very elegant you see accentuated waistline 1 32 3 proportions and it actually feels comfortable and safe as the top is secured under your bra I always say to my clients if you're not wearing jewelry you are not quite dressed because jewelry is the finishing touch to any of our outfits which allows us to immediately look polished and put together and the other way around no matter what you're wearing if you don't accessorize it your outfit will always look undone of course I'm not talking about some extravagant statement pieces for every day but I think it's really important to invest in two three Timeless versatile subtle pieces that you can wear on repeat with any of your outfits from jeans and sneakers to more dressed up looks I'm super glad to share with you the new Pearl collection from the British jewelry designer Emily Smith and her brand called ginger Berry I have already done the whole dedicated video about how to choose and style jewelry with ginger Berry I'm gonna link it in the info box in case you still struggle to understand which jewelry suits you the most in terms of coloring and style what I'd like to emphasize is that if you you're looking for something unique and Timeless at the same time something that is in style now and going to be in style 10 years from now ageless versatile very subtle sophisticated and beautiful then you'll definitely fancy the new Pearl collection from Ginger Berry it comes in 18 karat gold and it has a big variety of different style of pearls from Baroque pearls to more classic ones rounded so please have a look at her collection I'm gonna link as usual all the Styles I'm wearing in this video in the info box and also the promo code will be available for your purchases as I always wear jewelry I try to invest in high quality Timeless subtle styles that are extremely versatile so I can wear them during the day with more casual outfits but also in the evening with more dressed up styles I really love pearls because they are never out of style and as you know they are the trend for accessories this season and because it's such a good investment I prefer to buy natural pearls which have higher grade great luster cool touch and I know I'll be wearing them for my probably entire life and pass them to the Next Generation to make it very versatile I use layering like here this beautiful natural Pearl pendant from Ginger Berry layered with beaded pearl necklace to make the look more modern and casual but at the same time still sophisticated and Chic and even the most casual outfits such as jeans and sneakers can be immediately elevated by this little Classic Touch as you noticed I love layering my jewelry mix in different Metals textures and styles in my opinion it always gives more cooler and stylish twist even to the most classic pieces out of your jewelry box but it's not always that easy to layer necklaces especially when they come in similar length such as these two beautiful pieces with natural white pearls from Ginger Berry because they're almost the same length if I wear them together they just overlap each other so what I do instead is simply make one necklace out of two I take one side of the necklace and lock it with another necklace and then you go you have one long necklace that you can wrap around your neck several times and adjust the length to your liking I made one look like a choker and left another one longer but you can really play a lot with it I really like how this necklace works with this outfit it dresses it up giving it very elegant sophisticated touch even with flat shoes and Raffia basket this is exactly what I mean in when I say that when you invest in high quality Timeless jewelry you always maximize the value of your wardrobe because these little accents make even the most basic Staples out of your wardrobe look more polished and chic the second mistake that can not only create this rather sloppy and unpolished look but also ruin the proportions of your outfit is the sleeves to be more specific where they stop and how you style them sleeves Define the balance between the top and the bottom part of your body they also create focal point and draw the line at a certain part of your figure and they can also change the style and Vibe of your outfit making it look more casual and relaxed or on the contrary making it look more formal and smart as you see here I'm wearing a Blazer I left the sleeves on Roll which looks a bit frumpy and undone especially in combination with loose fit of the Blazer on Mom's fit jeans the Hem of the sleeve stops almost at the Hem of the Blazer cutting the silhouette in two and elongating my arms and torso which looks rather unflattering and not feminine at all the first way to roll up the sleeves is Again by using an elastic hair tie you simply put it at the bottom of your sleeves and pull it up where you want your sleeve to stop pull the excess fabric over the tie to hide it and that's it if you don't have a hair tie roll the sleeve inside out pull it up to your biceps fold the lining inside this way you make it smaller and pull it a bit down this is actually my favorite way to style the sleeves because it looks very effortless and casual and it doesn't require any extra accessories and talking about silhouette and proportions 3 4 sleeve lengths is considered to be the most flattering because it stops right at your waistline accentuating it and creating unequal proportions and last not least is the inside roll up you can roll the fabric inside so that the sleeve becomes smaller and sits better on your arm then pull it up a bit and adjust the length this way is interesting for those who have heavier top shoulders and arms because it doesn't create any voluminous effect and looks very neat and lean the hair tie hack works not only for Blazers but also for chunky knits if you're wearing quite the Luminous chunky sweater without rolling up your sleeves it may look quite Hardy and boxy on top not plattering in terms of silhouette no interesting in terms of style in this case you can use an elastic hair tie or even a plastic scrunchie just pull it over your sleeve to adjust the lens and it's ready tuck the sweater inside your bottom using French tuck and in matter of seconds you look taller and leaner without any effort and of course my look wouldn't be complete without the last Finishing Touch the jewelry here I'm wearing gingerberry vintage gold earrings and beautiful pearl necklaces layered with each other and as we move towards fall winter season where we wear a lot of needs this is a good example of elevating your sweaters by accessorizing them wearing high quality jewelry especially in winter season when our skin is more sensitive becomes even more important I'm talking about pearls in particular pay attention to the luster because the higher it is the more expensive it looks so even small size jewelry creates this beautiful polished vibrant look especially in combination with chunky Knits if you want to roll up the sleeves on your shirts without hiding the Cuffs which are actually a very important element of the style simply flip the cuff inside out and Fold It Up one inch past your elbow flip the Inside Out slip upwards so the edge covers the cuff a bit and then flip the cuff to complete the look tuck in your shirt by Crossing and twisting the bottom sides and tucking them on the sides inside your bottom and you'll effortless Chic outfit is ready as you see using very simple styling hacks allows you not only to make your outfit more interesting and stylish but also play with proportions and balance up the silhouette the waistband the waistband should fit your actual waistline not the one you used to have before gaining weight not after you lost some pounds of course ideally you bring your pair of jeans or skirt to the tailor to have the waistband adjusted for your waistline but what to do if you took your old good pair of jeans out of your closet just before you had to leave and realize it doesn't fit anymore okay this is the most confronting pair of jeans I own because they are not only super tight but also low waisted which makes them even more difficult to fit in and again a simple hairband can be a real Gene saver you pull the tie through the hole on the waistband then attach it to the button and that's it now you can close your zip and it gives you just one one and a half extra inch that you normally need and you can wear your tight jeans again and if you need a bit more just tie the hair tie in a knot around the hole and fasten it to the bottom on the side if the bottom is too big in the waist like this satin skirt for example then it sits too low it shows off the belly the length is not right and as a result it doesn't really look flattering and makes me feel rather uncomfortable good news is I can easily adjust the waistband with a small safe to pin the best way is to get a bit of fabric at the back from the inside fold the excess Fabric and secure it with a safety pin spread the fabric over the waistband to avoid any puffiness and there you go if the fabric is a bit thicker and stiffer you better alter the waistband on both sides to avoid any bulges and again it is really important to take in just a bit of fabric on both sides and spread the rest equally around your waist and hips [Music] next thing I'd like to talk about is the bra because you can't possibly achieve this classy polished look with a bra strap sticking out of your top no matter which kind of top is that well you may think that if we're talking about more casual relaxed style and go for racer top for example bra straps is not such a big crime oh sorry but it is as well as silicon straps which in my opinion are even worse as you see here even the most casual outfit like white tank top jeans and trainers can be ruined by bra straps sticking out of the top and even when I'm wearing quite neutral bra with nude color straps it still looks quite frumpy and busy on top to fix it you'll need no more than elastic hair tie simply pull the straps on the back and tie them with an elastic hair tie and just like that easy and secure and your normal bra turns into a sports bra so the straps are hidden under the top and you don't see them anymore and another example here I'm wearing total neutral outfit and new bra underneath and even though the color of the straps almost Blends in my look in my opinion it still doesn't look appropriate but since I'm wearing a bra with adjustable straps it's even easier to fix it in matter of seconds I simply remove one strap on one side detach another one pull it behind my neck and attach it on the other side and there you go I have a halter bra which were just perfect for this style of the top another detail that has a huge impact on your look is the hemline both for skirts and trousers I must be honest with you you can't adjust the hemline yourself when it comes to wide fit such as wide leg trousers or A-line skirt in very light fluid fabric but you can easily adjust the length of your jeans which normally come in length 32 34 which are just too long for petite women what is important is that the Hem of the trouser stops at the middle of the heel if you look at it from the back if it's too long it will gather around your ankles creating rather unflattering shortening effect for your legs to make an accurate inside roll simply take in the fabric on the Hem fold it inside your jeans spread it around and you got the right length without going to the tailor okay A little confession I'm not the most accurate person when it comes to keeping my clothes tidy and neat I'm not even afraid to say that I'm quite clumsy in that sense but what annoys me the most is that every single time I take this crisp light top and pull it over my head I get makeup stains so guess what I have to do just go and change right before I have to leave my life has changed when I learned about this very easy magical hack of keeping your top neat and tidy when you wear makeup the only thing you need is a hairspray simply spray the hairspray on the inside of the neck of your top let it dry a bit and you can pull it over your face without being worried about makeup stains how genius is that you see crisp white top and no embarrassing orange Foundation marks on it Ebola that's it for today I really hope you enjoyed this video let me know in the comments which hack was the most interesting for you and I'll see you next Sunday thank you for watching bye [Music]
