Shed Cleanup And 2 Pond Updates After The Rains

good morning everybody so I'm going to take a couple hours today and finish cleaning out under the barn here to open up the Bays where the tractor and the skid steer are got everything else cleaned up I did bring the 953 down here last night well before it got dark and uh I'm going to make a cubby hole for it to fit there under the shelter as well just got it back got a brand new underc Carriage put on it the rollers were fine pads are good so I got all new rails we put sprockets on a few weeks ago and uh repacked the uh track adjusters and I see that they did not tighten that down or something shocking somebody doesn't do something right so I will have to uh probably got dirt in the thing or something I'll have to look at that but uh yeah I will uh have to tighten that down but track adjusters are repacked so it no longer squeals when you uh drive it so that's a that's a good sign or good news and actually use it and not uh it was just so unbearably loud did they even tighten these things down I'll have to check that always got to check people's stuff all right let me uh clean out under the barn here let's get the tractor out of the way cold start or [Music] not oh did I put it in here there we go should be neutral what happened here please tell me the key wasn't left on I think the key was left on did he leave the damn key on Jesus it's dead it is dead [Music] jump box take two what is wrong with this thing that's probably not the guess my uh starter solenoids going out always something it literally just [Music] started I think my starter's locked up on the tractor I tried jumping it with a screwdriver I got to start once now it just it doesn't do anything at all it just everything just the screwdriver turns cherry red so I think the old tractor needs a new uh selenoid and starter it's probably original so always something all right now I got to get figure out how to get the tractor out from under here so I can uh move all this stuff at least spinning it over it did uh it did raise that cutter up a little bit all right always something I finally got the uh tractor had to p start it with the back Co but uh got it started pretty sure the starter's going bad in it so going to set up the time lapse I'm going to put the forks on go ahead and move this over there get this bucket out of here the forks and clean all this crap up put it in the backo bucket and uh make room to get the 953 under here and go ahead and bring the tractor and park it right there and then uh finish cleaning this side up over here [Music] [Music] look at all that real estate so I still got to go through all those benches one day and clean that a lot of that crap out but I got a whole bco bucket full of crap from right here I'm going to back the 953 in right here up against that tractor will go in the front of that then I take the skid steer I got one of those the Hydra bucket I'm going to put it right here then I park the skid steer and then the mini should fit right there and I was able to make room for the skid steer Mulcher right here that still leaves plenty of room for the back Co and that crap over there in the corner so yeah coming along coming along let me uh fire up the 953 and go ahead and back it in here oh w [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] all [Music] well making room for everything I got got a little bit more to clean up here save that for another day tractor fits right there 953 D7 D6 I do have to back the roller back up and that fits in that spot and still room right there for the mini excavator when I bring that back home uhoh it didn't like all that too many movements too fast and there we have it everything is tucked under here most of the way tucked under here once that Fab or that matting's gone I can move that rake under there a little closer and what I probably need to do is clean all this pipe scraps up and add two more Bays onto this Barn is what I really need to do knock those three or four trees down right there and extend this out to about where that black pipe is H sounds like more projects like I don't have enough projects huh I don't want to go this way it would be better to go this way but I don't want to take down the big oak tree plus all the runoff does come through here here and then run through there and that would damn that up so oh well might just have to go that way one day but everything is getting tucked under the uh shelter for the winter Pond is definitely on the rise here's my stick I put in here this morning when I came down here so it looks like I've gained about another 4 in like I said so we'll walk down there look at the overlow Overflow overflow let me get my words out so probably a foot to 14 in which is going to put it right up here at the bank where I want it actually might have a little bit of low spot there looks like it washed but the good thing is I got dirt and I know how to move it so I can fix that let's walk up here and see got some sticks floating out here now a lot of minnows actually got washed in here you can see the water moving from the other pond so already starting to get some uh little bit of life in the pond still got decent flow I don't know if this is going to be enough to fill it up or not probably not but it's not going to get any lower let's walk down here and check the dam out if I can get across here so you can kind of see it a little bit better now it's still a good foot I'll get a little bit closer and should brought tape measure but this is the mergency Spillway right here Dam just ties in over there if this ever does over top that 12-in pipe which it can because I've seen that much water come through here it'll just gently go over here and then off into the woods over there let's go look at the pipe yeah about another 14 in or so I need to go grab the trash rack can throw on there that next 12 in is going to make everything look I mean the Pond's going to grow probably another 5 ft in width once it gets up that high that's going to look good and I still haven't put my extra piece of pipe on I should probably go ahead and do that sooner than later I don't see anything leaking so that's always a good sign pretty little Pond I like it strolling back into a familiar place oh he's having a ball down [Laughter] here all right so I just got the uh 220 dropped off up there he's doing some clearing with his 160 I'm just going to get my machine out of the way just we got it unloaded got got sidetracked and didn't get any video but I just met with him and uh Pond's come up probably 3 or 4T since the last time I've been here the whole Pond bottom is covered now so it looks like uh probably about 5 ft from being full now so I'm going to do a little quick walk around up here think I hear water still flowing in we had one little casualty on the beach over there might have to get uh some more sand to fix that and build a better uh diversion swell around it it was fine for all the other rains but I don't know when they cut the beans off if it redirected the water flow or we just had an extreme amount of rain we had about 3 or 4 Ines in uh one day so that probably didn't help anything so I'm going to end up cutting a swell around the beach there and putting some matting down to really help protect that sounds like this is really flowing good right here so pretty much ever since I built the pond it's been fairly dry that's flowing in good right there so all this is just groundw that drains out of this Hillside see that trickling down right here so that's a good good clean flow of water going into the pond about how much is flowing into mine and let's walk up here to the uh head section and check out the French drain and see if that's if the ground's got saturated enough for that to start working looks like the r grass and Fescue is coming in good yeah that's going to look nice there let's check out the beach here so I had it about 8 in higher so everything would run right here you see we lost a little bit of erosion right here but I'll end up coming in here and putting a swell in matting right here but it looks like it went all the way just about to the end and I still don't know how it did it cuz that's up 6 Ines higher but instead of going straight to the end it uh washed out right here so hopefully I can uh pull some sand out if not uh probably just going to have to get another dump truck load of sand honestly but we'll figure that out and cut a better ditch right here somebody left their boots down here one of his kids yeah I'll do that and cut it better a little bit better swell right here you see where it was making it but it pulled up just enough where it went over that sand but other than that if it wasn't this whole field draining right there nothing's really washed at all let's go up here and check this section out up here let's go check out this section right here we got some pretty good erosion right here but it's like I said until the Pond is full the water will be you know right here once it's full he it'll quit eroding because that'll literally run directly into the pond but until then it's going to wash a little bit still got pretty good flow right here it looks like that didn't wash too bad one little spot right there but till the grass really comes up that'll be fine I can't see those pipes are kind of stuck up a little bit so they could be could be draining out in there I think I kind of hear it a little bit well that's doing what it's supposed to do kind of keep that ground drained out right there yeah that's definitely it's coming out of those pipes somewhere there's definitely not that much flow coming over right there yep pretty much the entire Pond bottom is covered now so about 5 ft from being completely full which is about as much water as in there right now little view from the uh boat ramp right here so pretty much the water's going to be at the top Edge all the way around except for you know right there and right in here but Dam's looking real good I don't see any erosion on that everything looks like it has really kind of grown in good except for the top of course I power wreck that a few weeks ago when I did that up there but yeah I don't see really any washing and erosion right here so just needs uh five more fet of water but we're in it for this year right here so I think it'll uh I think it'll fill up all right I'm going to take the 220 and get it out of his way so he can finish clearing that and uh drive up here and just kind of check out everything else real quick
