in today's exploration I'm taking you inside such a remarkable abandoned house from the mid-1800s with an ominous twist walking inside this time capsule makes it genuinely feel like you're stepping back in time almost as if you were stepping inside a Historical Museum judging by some of the old rare items left behind shows you how far the human race has come and where we're headed [Music] as old as this house is only two families owned it the last couple that lived inside went by the names Lawrence and Carol millwater they lived a happy life got married had two children and were well loved throughout the community they were so well loved in fact neighbors would wave hi to them on a daily basis it was the kind of friendly Community where everyone knew your name and everything about you unfortunately Lawrence passed away in 1997 leaving Carol a widow and she continued living her life until her passing in 1996. [Music] looks like I found my jewelry book an old one I know it's hard to believe that this house Still Remains but the last time Carol lived inside was 27 years ago and this house hasn't had any human interaction with it since her passing leaving everything behind just like the day she left it but I noticed something strange about the sofa in the living room blood stains all over it filling my mind with awful thoughts about what could have happened to Carol this is where the lady passed away according to a next door neighbor that told us the story how can we find out what happened when did it happen and how did it happen these questions baffled me and I couldn't find any further evidence in the house but according to a nearby neighbor down the street he told us that Carol lived her final days inside the living room of the house until people started getting suspicious about why she hadn't been outside lately [Music] one day someone in the community went inside and found her dead on the sofa now I'm not saying I'm a detective but the neighbor stated she passed away in her sleep on the couch but these blood stains tell a different story I don't see any evidence of an outline of a dead body all I see is blood smeared all over the sofa so how long was Carol left alone until someone found her what did she die from was it murder or did she just die from old age so many questions are left unanswered but let's take a look inside for Clues and see what else we can find [Music] the name is Ranger Rick my mission in the series is to go back to the past dig it up search for Clues and stay curious each episode I tell stories of abandoned places and their history so come with me let's explore together and see what we can find [Music] on today's Journey I'm teaming up with another fellow Explorer Janet and I'll link her Instagram down below we noticed getting here was nothing but back lonely Country Roads and as an Urban Explorer you should never park near a place you're exploring but today we're making an exception [Music] so one of the first things you see right before you walk in is this car and just look at it that is some old old stuff in there real analog I even got tree moss growing on the seat typical maroon red interior for an old car all right guys welcome back and you know me you know the routine and you know the drill I want to film this house as if you were the owner how would it look if you came through the front door here's a problem front door I'm not going to go there for obvious reasons but we're going to try the back door so this is the back door and this is what it looks like if you were the owner looking out you have a old looking car right there so this is one of the first things when you enter the side door and our back door from the kitchen area you see these cabinets look at this everything's made out of tin everything was made out of tin I think this house was built in the 1800s I'm going to do some research on it so you don't have to but look at this it's made by acne I've never heard of that brand name before on kitchen cabinetry and everything right here on top is made out of tin sounds like and as you can see just like people do today they label these coffee sugar tea flour have a nice little Happy Thanksgiving sign right there give thanks unto the Lord look at this old stove too wow that is made by Frigidaire I didn't know Frigidaire went back that far and we have a calendar date so this tells me sad whoever last passed away in this house was on April 1992. [Music] so let's head off into the dining room and see what we can see and one of the first things you can see is this this little table right here or a little wall mount looks like Mother Nature has been taking over let me get a quick shot of that right there looks like birds have been making their self at home [Music] we have a nice looking dining room set china cabinet is on check and then we have the buffet over here yeah this is the buffet so they had everything in this dining room we got a buffet table here dining room four chairs got two armchairs two regular chairs china cabinet and I guess this is like a little baker's rack here and we don't want to get caught up in that because that's a mouse trap now we head into this room right here which is actually neither by the front door here's the staircase I kind of like this little setup right here got two little chairs as an entryway so you can sit down while the gentleman unties his shoes or the lady unties his shoes and uh this door is kind of weird tell me what this is what is that why do they have gears on a door definitely before my time so it turns out this house wasn't the original House this house actually started out as a log cabin and was built by a man named Thomas Alexander and his wife Mary Alexander both of them were born in the late 1700s got married had kids and made a log cabin in the 1830s on the land we are standing on today and as life happened the couple passed away in the late 1800s leaving the land to the millwater family the mill Waters demolished most of the cabin leaving only the back kitchen and one of the upstairs bedrooms and this photo is the finished product today [Music] thank you [Applause] thank you [Music] foreign right here not too much going on in here just a bunch of stuff all mangled around but one thing that does catch my attention in here that tells me somebody died that's uh I forgot what that is but that's like when you die and you put the obituaries up in the newspaper they put that in your funeral I think that's what that's for so somebody obviously died here and here is a dresser full of old newspapers it looks like see if we can see a date on this oh this is confusing that says June 18 2000 see if I could zoom in on that so you can see that says two thousand but the calendar says 1992. maybe somebody came in here after and unloaded this newspaper Shoney bear Club I noticed one thing about time capsules they collect a lot of newspapers that's for sure what is that stores must move quickly oh I think I found out what these flowers are for this is for the person's funeral whoever died [Music] probably went with that thing over there for the funeral and I'm guessing I'm standing in that person's bedroom whoever died here yeah yeah this is probably their room I'm just trying to figure out how many people lived here I haven't found any family photos yet so it turns out this is Carol's downstairs bedroom the family did indeed come back and drop off everything that was at the funeral [Music] [Music] and then we walk into this room right here [Music] that's Bob Hope that's Jimmy Stewart wait these are actors yeah oh um I'm not sure that's how I found it that's Bob Hope why would they frame them oh because that's what people did back then oh all right they had scrapbooks of movie stars it's something you know that was their social media people they admire [Music] these people loved music I can tell here's another piano label on it I know who that is that's an old picture of Tony Danza when he was much younger then and I found this in memory so yeah somebody must have passed away here take a picture of that and I have no idea how old this photo is either very interesting and I think this is another main actually this is a bedroom but it looks like the main room one of the main rooms in the house lady's purse here this is insane how much stuff these people leave behind and you'll be surprised many people actually do this just leave stuff behind now when you first input this room there's a couple of things a couple pieces of furniture that caught my attention this thing right here this little organ the TV and definitely this thing this sewing machine made by Franklin this thing looks heavy duty back in the day they just built stuff to last everything is all like solid but now everything's all plastic must be cheaper to make that way [Applause] looks like I found my jewelry book an old one and this is probably my favorite room in the whole house for obvious reasons just because it's like the main room and I already told you to backstory on this place and Yep this is where the lady passed away according to a next door neighbor that told us the story I don't know the full story but I do know that somebody passed away on the sofa that's all the coagulated blood hate to show that on camera but a lot of people really want to see that so I'm going to show it to you and here's where they played the piano made by our let's see b-r-a-m-b-a-c-h [Music] uh brambach I guess that's what that says you see if the Piano Works [Music] some of the keys work not all of them and right here looks like is is this the Bible I can't really tell that's nice you know right by the sofa the head there nice little coffee table set up and I don't see where they would put a TV you can't really hang it something was hung right there but I think there was a picture they didn't watch TV I don't know I don't really watch TV too much that is a picture of an old phone there's a spider right there see that [Music] foreign [Music] this is definitely before my time to write it down in the comments what is this this says Deluxe Lindsay automatic controlled Heat oh never mind it's a toaster that thing looks like an NES Super Nintendo or something I like these uh Time Capsule chairs I'll call them Time Capsule chairs because whenever you're in a house like this they usually have one of these where it's like all this print on it and this one almost looks like a pilgrim or maybe like an Amish town maybe in in Christmas time people might be actually up here it's always scream and shout beforehand so I can kind of clear them out of here if there is anybody squatting in here because these houses would be very easy to squat in and when you hang a left now this this right here has only got two rooms you look here you look there that's coming up the stairwell you only got two rooms here at the upstairs so very small upstairs it's a cool looking vacuum leave it in the comments if you know what kind of vacuum that is something makes me really curious about this wall right here let me light it up so you can see what I'm saying it looks like this was part of well this is the wall right here but why do they have this little cutout right here something makes me think there's something behind this wall because I don't think Mother Nature did this part I think a human came in here and ripped this down to try to get something out of that wall but I'm not quite sure after an further investigation it turns out there really is something behind this wall it was part of the Old Log Cabin that originated here but whatever's inside we can only imagine it looks like they were unsuccessful but what in the heck is behind that wall I don't get it I don't understand and going back into the hallway that's leading upstairs we have this room which is probably one of my favorite rooms here for obvious reasons because the furniture is all white this is like the perfect type of furniture to put in a house like this because it's very countrified makes it more country fried I like the designs in the bed feels like all solid wood furniture and if you know the brand name to this fan let us know in the comments fill us in so yeah if you noticed anything in the background that I missed please fill us in in the comments it would really help everybody out in the comment section because people ask me all the time what's this what's that I don't know because like this was before my time so I don't know and I guess that's how we'll do things from now on on this channel like if we don't know something we'll help each other out in the comments and just try this is that this is this you know yeah but I really like this furniture it looks very cozy very country looks like this might have been a baby's room maybe a girl's room perhaps a lot of history in this room very well lit very nice [Music] we can only speculate that towards the end of Carol's life it was hard for her to get around she avoided going upstairs from old age because every piece of furniture that we found in the upstairs bedroom had a thick layer of dust a lot thicker than the furniture that was downstairs we also could tell that she was not a frivolous spender because every piece of clothing article we could find was from the 60s and 70s [Music] that is everything I could dig up on Carol and the millwater family unfortunately I couldn't locate any photos of Lawrence Carol's husband as far as in this house goes he'll probably sit here until the end of days I want to thank you for sticking around if you made it to the end of this episode thanks for watching everyone [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] foreign [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music]
