good morning everyone good morning happy sabbath to one and all and for those who are watching online we welcome you we hope that you'll get a blessing today as you be a part of our service even though you're not here in person we would love to have you though and uh may god richly bless you today so and also we have our speaker for the hour today cornell and his wife carmen that are here today we're glad to have you and cornell will be bringing the word of god and later on and i'm just looking around to see if there's anyone here for the first time that i haven't seen to welcome you may god bless you so um for the i'm just i hope that you all have got a bulletin if you didn't get one and and just read through it i encourage you to read through it but i'll just bring you some of the points that uh that we want you to take note of we have some church nominations new church nominations coming up and today is the first reading so and we say congratulations and may god bless each one in their in their leadership role church elder is nicole truman and in the adventurers this year we have jenna lee as the leader her assistant is mary mccumber kumbhara please forgive me if i pronounced your last name wrong mary adventurer leader secretary dennis lee and and also starting this fall we have the pathfinders and the pathfinder leader is brian allen his assistant will be jose kuwa pathfinder secretary sarah avisa pathfinders for the boys division ken ravina and pathfinders for the girls division sarah avisov pathfinder treasurers michelle allen and the pathfinder teachers are judy zulu and ildigo allah they are the lineup for this coming year so just pray for them as they start in their new ministry and um on august the 7th will be the second reading and the reason for that is because next sabbath there won't be a regular service here it will be virtual camp hope and that starts on july 28th which is wednesday through sabbath that you can watch it at home or if you don't have the ability or have the means to see it online that that you can come here and watch it on the big screen that's for next weekend and also i'd like to bring to your attention if you read in your bulletins about adventist students we do have some students that are coming to go to uvic there is a brother and a sister that are coming from the mainland and a young lady from courtney and they are looking for accommodations so if you or if you know of somebody who is able to help them you can either contact me or even in the bulletin it shows you where you can contact the different parents for these young students we thank you very much for that um let me get it open here that they are for lcs currently is accepting applications for the fall of 2021 so families that are out there that are looking for a christian education this is the place to be that you can contact the principal at lcs i think that is all that we are talking about so i'll just just encourage you to read your bulletins so that you can get all the information so i'm we're just uh to call on our praise team and we'll start worshiping our god in music and we pray that you will be blessed today let's give thanks and praise to god for all the wonderful things he has done for [Music] us and sing the children of zion for the lord has delivered thee arises ye children of zion for the lord has delivered thee open up your hearts and rejoice before him open up your hearts and rejoice before him open up your hearts and rejoice [Music] [Music] open up your hearts and rejoice before him open up your hearts and rejoice before him open up your hearts and rejoice before him for the king is your god [Music] while moses led the people through the desert to the promised land at one point he struck the rock and out came flowing water for the people did they know that jesus christ was that very rock and he is the very same for us steadfast and true there is no rock there is no god like our god no other name worthy of all our praise the rock of salvation that cannot be moved he's proven himself to be faithful and true there is no rock there is is jesus is jesus is the wrong there is a rock there is no god like there is thank you lord think of those things this week pause slight technical difficulty just a few minutes but while we are waiting how was everybody's week everybody had a good week praise the lord it's so great to see all of you as we worship together then let us know when you're ready so so
