this diy video is for the outdoor and i'll be starting with this part here that has no privacy whatsoever and i'm also going to be working on the floor to give this a more outdoor feel i'm going to be covering it with faux carpet grass and the carpet grass can be measured and cut at home depot the backing here is suitable for outdoors remember get only the full grass that's suitable for the outdoor stay away from this particular one because you cannot use that for the outdoor my outdoor is pretty large so i used couple of rolls to cover up the small space at that corner unlike the bare floor this faux grass gives me a nice outdoor vibe for privacy i'm going to be covering up the fence with faux leaves i'll be using green zip ties to attach the faux leaves to the fence now each and every item that i'll be using for my outdoor project if they were purchased online will be down in the description box below because my fence is wide i had to buy a lot of the privacy leaves and then attach them together i'm gonna be making an outdoor planter for this space and because i didn't want to do too much work all i did was to get lots of trims attach them together with mending plates and i attached two pieces for the sides and then attached what i made to the fence by making holes by the side and then using zip ties to attach what i made to the fence so it would look just like an outdoor planter [Music] these are interlocking tiles and i'll be using them in front of the planter for safety reasons i made sure that the full grass were held securely to the ground i then added an outdoor seating area i love to have something extra on a part of the fence so i used outdoor flooring and attached them to the fence i'll be hanging lanterns on this fence for lighting to make the lanterns look even better i'll be attaching white decorative screens at the back i got large potted plants from city furniture that i didn't like the cement finishing so what i did was to spray paint them white using an outdoor spray paint i'll be making a frame around what i made earlier using a white pvc cutter after i made my cuts i closed off the openings with loctite foam i then used corner braces and mending plates to attach all the cutouts together i attached the frame at the front besides this is a poolside chair that i made a while back and i will leave a link for the full diy video down in the description box below do on the other side of the pool i covered off the fence with faux green leaves just like i did for the other side and then i decorated that side with palm plants at the corner of this area right here i'm gonna be making a sitting area and i am doing the same thing that i did for my apartment a while back and i'll leave a link for that diy video down in the description box below i made the sitting area to look like a mini gazebo and it's renter friendly [Music] in my apartment when i made this i did not attach the blocks together with glue but here because they have no support i had to make sure i was okay with the design and then use the construction adhesive to bind all the blocks together after that i added treated wood to my design just like i did in my apartment and when i was done i painted the treated wood and the cinder blocks i didn't really like how from afar you can see that there are blocks that i had going on down there so i covered them with faux flowers [Music] this is now what the entire space looks like now i have to let you guys know that what i had in front of the planter was replaced with an outdoor chess set i'll leave a link for this chess set down in the description box below because my backyard space was so large i was able to have some of the designs that i've had in my head for a while the shots that i made from this point in this video were taken a year later [Music] i don't really have a good video for the backyard at night but then overall i am pleased with the way it turned out and how long it has lasted i will be switching up the looks after a year or two just so that i can have something else going on that's different at the back thank you guys so much for watching i have the home decor diy videos that are linked in the description box below to check them out and for those of you who have not subscribed to my channel don't forget to click on the subscribe button
