Secret Armor Location & Overpowered Shield Weaver! Horizon Forbidden West Best Armor & Skills

we're back in horizon forbidden west and i'm going to show you how to get the best armor in the game which is sort of like a secret armor you can get as a reward for some quests and you can actually start this line of quests really early on in the game but we're also going to go over the shield weaver armor as well since you can combine both to make some crazy overpowered armor so first off the best armor in forbidden west which is the osram artificer is obtained by completing a series of salvage contract quests the main quest being this salvage unlimited quest you can start it by heading to a salvage contractor such as the one here which is the first one you'll probably run into anyway called the baron light if you talk to the salvage contractor they should give you about four different contracts and they're very simple to complete and then upon completing that salvage contractor's quests you can head over to one of the other three salvage contractor locations one of them being here a bit more northwest called the greenswell the contractor there will give you four more contracts to complete upon talking to her and you can see them on the little contracts tab here each time you talk to another salvage contractor they'll give you their list of contracts down here the third salvage contractor can be found far south of the last one and it's called the still sands and it lies right next to some relic ruins after completing that set of contracts you can go to meet your final salvage contractor called the rangers all the way at the southwest corner of the map and once you finish those that's when the game will have you return over to the baron light contractor location and after the little celebration between all of the contractors and going on the one final last mission you'll be rewarded with the osram artificer armor there are only a handful of legendary armor sets in horizon forbidden west and this one is arguably the best but it does tend to lean more towards a melee play style but it's still the best overall armor and does buff up some of the ranged skills as well the skills it comes with are almost all beneficial to melee fighting and the energy charges on your spear except for the valor surge master perk which increases the speed that you earn valor which will help us with our next step so for the shield weaver armor it works a little differently in horizon forbidden west than it did in zero dawn in here it's actually called overshield and it's a skill that covers you in armor and once it's leveled up all the way it gives you an additional 400 armor on top of your health and also deflects 20 of all melee damage back at your attacker by the way overshield is purchased in the survivor skill tree and you do have to purchase a good portion of the skills prior to it but you don't have to purchase every single skill above it so once you equip the overshield skill or any of the valor skills you'll get a purple bar at the bottom right corner of the screen which once it's filled up a section of it you can hold l1 and press r1 to activate the overshield or whatever valor skill you have equipped the overshield is pretty awesome and paired with the surge master perk from the osurum armor it should charge even faster and you can use it over and over again really quickly there are also two more surge masters you can get in the hunter skill tree they're the ones marked with a fist having all of these should allow you to charge up your overshield really fast and if you charge it all the way it'll last for a good while but that's pretty much it you should now have the best armor in horizon forbidden west or at least the best so far who knows maybe some extra secret armor hasn't been uncovered yet but it's pretty doubtful since me and plenty of other players have put a ton of hours into the game already don't forget to leave a like and subscribe for more horizon forbidden west videos see ya [Music]
