what's up welcome back to another episode dirtfish in America I am Brandon ray nice today the plan was to go up to Silver City it's an old ghost town we're not gonna make it there though because we got sidetrack first of all we stopped in here at the Owyhee County Museum let me just say if you're ever in the area out here in the middle of a waihi County you got to stop and see this museum full of history in there a big thunderstorm rolled through this area last night and it just cleared all these drainages out I mean it moved a lot of dirt down some hills so we're hoping to go out find some old bottles in this place today worst-case scenario it's always good for an adventure you can get him okay get him over here now all right guys I think we're on the right track right behind me here we got a nice pile of garbage and I think there's another one right over here so I think we're in the right area you might be asking yourself why is this guy walking around out in the middle of the desert looking for a dump the answer is because the old dumps can yield some very very precious bottles and other forms of garbage that are actually quite valuable see this looks like it was in fire almost yeah it was look at all the other stuff in here these are pretty old too okay do I not impress you with my garbage would you find Clorox [Music] oh yeah okay now we're getting into some good stuff here handle Purex oh okay see okay let's find a whole one yeah look at this big old jug handle I like this Cheers yesterday this was borderline flash-flood through this dry creek bed and it actually washed sections of Road out downstream here that's how fast - the water was flowing yesterday but now as you can see it's just a bunch of churned up mud we're hoping that that churned up mud reveals some old bottles maybe some coins or relics or something cool let's go all bone table look at this oh how did you not see this mommy oh they're very hard to see broken Arrowhead they are very hard to see sounds like Abel found a piece what'd you find ooh that's a big old piece of obsidian huh hmm you see that thing definitely looks like it's been worked on yeah good fine buddy thanks D do you see it part of one oh man that's a thin one too yeah busted it's like the outer shell oh and broke off always a good idea to keep your eye open for petrified wood out here to check this out tiny little piece of petrified wood for you this spot behind me was full of geothermal activity and it would have been a desert oasis where natives could water and water their horses and I think they probably bathe in here a lot too which is why I think we find so many arrowheads in here either that or they're shooting that ducks or something like that that would have been an amazing point would have had these little triangular spear tips on the backside of it occasionally out here you find these piles of freshwater mussels where you can imagine they would have sat around a campfire fashioning points and boiling their muscles you can see there's just loads of chips around here oh you guys fool what do you got whoa man it's a whopper you cut your finger these new sharp dude my class what Maui yeah oh that piece it's got a real heartbreaker over here a real heartbreaker broken too bad doing the walk of shame it's not to say I didn't have an awesome day exploring was my wife and my son it was it was an awesome day and we did manage to find some old stuff at old places so I mean that's kind of a win-win in my book and remember the hunt isn't over until you reach the truck so I'm still looking but I'd like to thank you guys while I'm looking for tuning in thanks for watching hit that subscribe button turn those notifications on we'll see you next time when we'll be in Hawaii two hours later [Music] [Music] [Music]
