Sean Taylor Career RE-SIMULATION | WAIT, WHO DRAFTED HIM??

what's going on guys bengal again here coming back at you with another video and of course we're doing another career reesim and as you can tell from the title the thumbnail and of course the screen that is around sean taylor really really unfortunate story sean taylor i believe in a home invasion was murdered in a robbery gone wrong i guess you could say really really tragic only played four years in the nfl but quickly rose up to become one of the top safeties in the league he was a really really good player coming into his prime at just like 24 years old came into the nfl as a rookie at uh 21 in his first year 21 years old was an all-pro in the final season that he played in again it's just a really unfortunate situation tragic story of a player that could have been one of the best players of all time at his position and you know again never got to play out his career it's amazing that i was taken from from him and his family and all of us as football fans so it's really really sucks but we're gonna throw him back in the draft in 2021 and say hey you get a second chance we're gonna see how his career would have played out it feels a little bit weird doing this because he is you know unfortunately has passed away but we're doing it in not like a memorial obviously it's been some time but in the sense of just seeing what could have happened and and playing through that so i hope this doesn't come across as disrespectful at all in any way i'm not trying to profit off you know a deceased football player obviously that's not it you guys know whatever um but yeah would love to see sean taylor do amazing things here make the hall of fame we've never followed the career of a safety before so this one's going to be really really interesting i don't know what his numbers are gonna look like at all it's kind of rare to see interceptions and we're gonna see how he does for tackles and force fumbles if that even happens in sim which it rarely does it's gonna be a very very odd thing but we're gonna simulate to the draft and see what team ends up taking sean taylor winner number five overall in 2004 yes 2004 and he had a really really good start to his career and was pro bowler in 2006. he was an all-pro in 2007 right second team all pro two-time pro bowler really really good start to his career and again just so tragically taken away from him but we will see what team ends up selecting him in the draft trevor lawrence to the jets at the clemson jaguars take justin fields eagles takes sean taylor no so sean taylor who of course played on washington very odd to see but we will see how his career plays out 91 speed 82 zone 81 tackle 97 hit power i think is the the big thing with him could end up being a really really good player again it's going to be super weird because i'm just not sure how a safety's going to play in simulation we're going to hop in and use him at some point as his team got zabin collins kaden stearns as well big upgrades on defense but uh yeah we'll have to see didn't make the playoffs eagles went seven and nine this year but again it's not really about what the team does it's about what sean taylor does individually and he had 86 tackles one tackle for loss no interceptions four deflections in real life sean taylor's rookie year had 78 combined tackles 61 solo three tackles for loss and four interceptions in this simulation 66 solo 20 assists 86 total tackles so did better as a tackler than he did in real life his rookie year but unfortunately no interceptions and with 97 hit power managed to force one fumble does have superstar development not really a shock there but will that be good enough for defensive rookie of the year i don't think he's going to get defensive player of the year vote have you ever seen a safety get defensive player of the year votes i haven't it's linebackers and d-linemen every time but defensive rookie here goes to zavin collins and cayden sterns is at eight where is shawn taylor that's wild okay 20 22 now second year here for sean taylor keen butler is a tight end there is slay on there oh they drafted a star or a better development corner but sean taylor is an 83 overall these are his attributes the same as you saw them at the end of the year 83 zone coverage 91 speed 97 hit power we'll see if zone coverage tackling pursuit go up zone coverage should be the main one we focus on but i think they're going to do tackle in pursuit more than anything else no playoffs again the team went 6 and 10 30th best offense maybe the defense was better led by sean taylor i mean he didn't have that many tackles 72 this year one tackle for loss no sacks no interceptions as i said interceptions are occasionally a tough thing to come by in simulation and i think his tackles actually were down in real life in your number two yeah he had 72 combined tackles that year which really isn't that far from 72 here and oh my goodness in real life he had 62 solo tackles and 10 assists that looks pretty familiar had two tackles for loss though that year only one this year however two interceptions and he still has zero in this game didn't force a fumble no fumble recoveries i hate this game in 2023 now sean taylor is up to n85 overall progressing pretty well i would say for just his third year 85 run support of course zone coverage is staying the same hit power went up to 98 tackle in pursuit both at 83. so he's coming along quite nicely but that zone coverage needs to go up so i am turning off auto progress and simulating to the playoffs and i will upgrade him personally at the end here we'll see how season number three goes no playoffs in 2023 i have auto on why why is a team actually so terrible i have no idea sean taylor playing down with morale as you would if you were on the eagles to be fair to him he's got three skill points i'm going into zone all day for this the cpu will only upgrade his run stuffing ability they'll only upgrade the top one every time i don't know why it's like that it's such a stupid system but we are working an upgrading zone here he's up to an 87 overall at the end of year three plus one speed even 92 speed 85 zone coverage and 98 hit power would love for him to start forcing some fumbles he's in the top three percent of all free safeties in the league at just 24 years old had 74 tackles actually did record his first interceptions this year two picks so that's that's a nice change still no force fumbles with 98 hit power has won for his entire career now did sean taylor get any votes for db of the year let's see sdb goes to avonte maddox no eagles in there for the nfc so unfortunately he no he didn't he didn't but he has at least one year remaining on his contract at least of course you get one year remaining on the four-year contract for rookies but also he was a first-round pick so he will have that fifth year option so the eagles could bring him back if they wanted him to although secretly i'm hoping that another team actually jumps at the opportunity to take him and the eagles don't resign them 2024 did he get an upgrade they drafted a qb over wentz and he looks like he's a monster one of the best quarterbacks i've ever seen in the draft 79 overall star better development incredibly accurate looks like the joe burrow build almost throw power's not quite there but oh my goodness does he look amazing they brought in alexander madison jamal agnew i guess i think can be a receiver saving collins up to superstar brought in stefan gilmour this guy's had superstar but sean taylor is an 87 overall his fourth season which again very tragically was the last season he would ever play in the league and we'll see what happens here in our make-believe land 20-24 we'll hop in probably like week 17 or something just so i can play around with him a little bit on the eagles and see what he looks like on the field seven and eight in week 17 you know pretty much mathematically eliminated from playoff contention just because the eagles are nine and six but we'll jump in against football team it's gonna be super tragic to actually see this in place because of course when sean taylor plays or played he was on washington went to a division rival and now we're hopping in just to see what he looks like on the field against his former team in real life of course not in this career sim let's get out here sean taylor at free safety man it is kind of amazing how close i feel like we made him look and how close players look in general as kind of abandon our post there luckily darius slay made a really nice play i don't know why i just kind of forgot we were in a deep zone looking to come up and lay the lumber with sean taylor to draw oh it's a huge hit sean taylor let him know [Applause] got absolutely drilled we see a replay on this i read that immediately absolutely cracked him and that running back's wearing number 36 which is the number sean taylor wore as a rookie and sean taylor made him pay just like what brian mormon in the pro bowl third and eleven trey lance is there quarterback i wonder what the odds that we actually get tested down the field and we're covering it i think check down lame third and thirteen please try me down the field no they go at the opposite safety it's kaden stearns with a pick boo i mean hook em but ah come on it's not the video third and nine oh we just got turned around lance couldn't get it away though i just want one attempt one shot deep 44 seconds for them i would love for terry to burn off the line and then they go deep or something but that's not what i want shawn taylor big hitting the balls loose we'll take it he definitely wasn't down but we got the hit stick fumble it's at 98 99 hit power for you simulated the rest of the game and we would unfortunately lose and uh sean taylor didn't have any other interception opportunities i'm not going to stay here forever for the full game he's got a long career so we'll see and washington football team is in the super bowl let's see the season for sean taylor how'd he do the rookie quarterback threw 17 touchdowns i don't think i've ever seen a number so low sean taylor had 89 tackles four tackles for loss no interceptions five past deflections and of course that one force fumble that we had in week 17 nfc offensive player of the year russell wilson but best db do we have any votes stefan gilmour with the eagles gets a vote but not sean taylor but sean taylor would sign a massive contract extension worst case scenario he's in philadelphia for the next five years he is only 25 89 overall he's got 86 zone coverage superstar dev still that has not gone up let's give him a pick artist maybe and again i'm not sure how much of this will actually come into effect when we're not in the game and just doing simulation stuff but we shall see season number five for sean taylor and he's gonna be in philadelphia at least until his age 29 season kovacs has superstar dev not even he should be superstar x factor he's an 85 overall going into year two he's cracked man they actually have some uh kind of good players taylor has still yet to go up to superstar x factor it may never happen we'll see if the disappointment continues with simulation stats i knew this was going to happen or i strongly suspected it there's a difference no playoffs in 2025 seven and nine kind of seems to be the story for this team as kovacs he's off to a decent start nothing amazing but he's gonna be up to a 90 overall in his second season or they're about sean taylor 67 tackles two for loss half a sack and two interceptions i think you could argue that this is the best season of his career so far tied his interception total added half a sack i don't know i mean it really it certainly wasn't a bad season wasn't anything crazy still like how do you have 98 hit power and force no fumbles it's just it shows how bad the simulation engine is in my opinion i don't think there's any way he gets a vote for uh db of the year in the nfc i don't think there's even a chance but we'll see i mean look at that no one in here is a safety not one player i don't think it's possible isaiah simmons had four picks he's the only safety in the league who had four picks correct wow okay sean taylor officially up to a 90 overall now and it'll stay at 90 as we upgrade zone again hopefully only zone it's plus three to awareness he's got 88 zone coverage 85 tackle 86 pursuit 92 speed 98 hit power but he really doesn't get interceptions or force fumbles so that's very cool 2026 can we see an upgrade to superstar x factor for sean taylor at some point in the near future doubtful but we shall simulate to the playoffs regardless and see what happens might be up for a playbook change but i want a playbook that could actually get some safety interceptions and i'm not sure that playbook exists that's the biggest issue at the moment right now did not make the playoffs again five and 11. get sean taylor off this garbage team how'd he do 83 tackles one for loss one interception four past deflections did force the fumble and recovered it okay this is this is an improvement i suppose will he and i already know the answer to this but will he get any votes for bestdb no like linebackers can get seven interceptions but you'll never see a safety with even close while in real life safeties almost most often lead the league in interceptions versus any other position just food for thought 2027 quick check in on sean taylor and his contract he's the highest rated player on the team and signed through 2029 so three more seasons of him on the eagles at least did he get upgraded nope still sitting at superstar dev but zone coverage is quickly approaching the 90s and we should be able to get it there with these upgrades to zone coverage only plus one don't do this to me game don't do this to me please no don't be awareness it's plus three to awareness get zone coverage in the 90s please he's a 92 overall so we like that he made the pro bowl what else is he looking like that was his first pro bowl okay so we'll take that pro bowl season from sean taylor in 2026 hopefully 2027 has all that in store and more no playoffs again 5 and 11. what is going on i guess this quarterback just sucks i don't know what's going on defensively though what we're really here for sean taylor led the team in tackles with 110 had one for loss no interceptions though did have a deflection forced to fumble and recovered it for a yard 110 tackles is pretty unreal i could definitely see him going up to superstar x factor after that and maybe even getting some db of the year votes that's just so many tackles but i don't know the crazy thing is though that this team is actually good and they're performing like one of the worst teams in the league but tell me sean taylor and this rudolph guy by the way is developing unreal quickly but tell me he got upgraded no zaven collins did though sean taylor still at superstar development made his second pro bowl though there you go we like to see that and no votes for best eb because this game as always is racist 2028 so two years remaining on sean taylor's contract no longer the highest overall player in the team as randy kovacs has passed him 89 zone coverage i'd love to get that into the 90s to see if that would make a difference in terms of actually going out there and making plays we will see how 2028 goes and no playoffs again 4 and 12. i've changed the playbooks to good playbooks and the eagles just lose and lose and lose at a rate i've never seen before this quarterback sucks defensively sean taylor had 85 tackles three for loss no sacks no interceptions five deflections oh my god please just get an interception one time one time bestie b you already know he's not gonna be in there but a safety finally makes it in jamal adams might be the first oh buddha baker do i go cardinals defense i'm i'm willing to try anything at this point give me some decent sim stats cardinals offensive playbook is terrible buddha baker how many picks did you have four also i might move sean taylor over to strong safety seems like they do a little bit better another zone upgrade for him though plus two zone coverage finally in the 90s and we are going to make the transition to strong safety what's going on guys voiceover bengal here and i'm from the future and this is a weird thing but my mic stopped recording at this point through the video so no audio in the video but i figured why waste a decent video and jump back in postcom it's not really like i need to be doing any live reactions anyway for the most part as we continue to follow the career of sean taylor now 29 years old very upsetting that this happened because maybe i said some funny things i don't remember but it's possible just assume i said only funny things it looks like i was laughing there having a great time because the eagles once again did not make the playoffs this has been absolutely brutal for the career of sean taylor just playing on losing eagles team after losing eagles team after losing eagles team in this quarterback by the way unreal numbers as far as attributes go but he also sucks one of the worst i've seen but what a year from sean taylor 95 total tackles one for lost half a sack and five interceptions seems like the move to play him at strong safety over free safety two force fumbles and a recovery by the way but it seems like the move to play him at strong safety certainly worked out quite well still chilling at superstar development but we're gonna upgrade zone here that makes him a scheme fit so now he's gonna get even more xp and as you can see from his progression history made his third pro bowl also at his speed go up and he finished at number 10 for defensive player of the year wild stuff best db third so unfortunately doesn't win that but like he's playing out of his mind right now sean taylor has been unbelievable fantastic of late all it took was the move to strong safety playing in i guess a more favorable situation scheme he is 30 now but still is quite good still is quite good we are seeing him progress a bit because he is 30. if he had superstar x factor probably a different story but at the end of the next season it's kind of back to his old not really doing too much waves 89 tackles three for loss no sacks no picks no force fumbles no fumble recoveries and they drafted like a crazy stud d tackle as well 80 overall d tackle as we're gonna change his abilities here and he was awesome with recuperation and then i took it off for like acrobat or something else so i'm just like we're gonna give him back what he had that made him so good previously and we're gonna go ahead and test that out but look at that crazy d tackle rookie 80 overall like where are these players when i'm actually drafting they're not even in the draft we'll be drafting 77 overall running backs as the number one overall player in the class and there they are with an 80 overall d tackle a 79 overall quarterback who still sucks by the way no running game and the defense is trying it was another year of not making the playoffs but sean taylor is back a hundred tackles four for loss one and a half sacks three interceptions very very good year for him we love to see that justin fields is an mvp today in real life as i record this outro or this uh audio voice over it's like four or five days later and ohio state played today and justin fields didn't look great but sean taylor at number four for best db in this video you'd love to see that he's got three years remaining on his deal but he is 32 years old dips under 90 overall but did get superstar x factor love to see it is regressing made his fourth pro bowl but finally gets superstar x factor after long last you love to see it ended up giving him zone hawk but unfortunately he's playing his best football at his oldest ages so he's regressing we're fighting to keep him at a 90 overall it's up and down and up and down and up and down but more often than i than not he's playing pretty well and in 2032 guess what didn't make the playoffs again this qb is just like not doing it for me but john taylor led the team in tackles with 108 had a tackle for loss a sack and four interceptions i mean he's just killing it and that's wild because he's 33 years old at this point still fighting to be in the 90s 91 overall but he's so old at this point that regression is hitting him hard justin fields back-to-back mvps but shawn taylor at number seven for defensive player of the year however gets shafted number two for db of the years just can't quite win it but when they're all cornerbacks up there and he's the only safety i mean that's that's deserving to be talked about as best db in the league because it's tough for a safety to get in there period he finishes at number two but regression is hitting him pretty hard made his fifth pro bowl still hanging out at around a 90 89 overall at 33. i mean that's fairly impressive 91 speed 87 zone so i don't know it's like he never really got up to a super high overall but it's just kind of hovered at around a 90 for most of his time in here i think he got up to what a 93 before he started regressing but it's really really tough to get him below like in 89 good season for him this year 79 tackles two for loss two sacks three picks he just continually has great seasons now at strong safety it's like they haven't seen a player quite like him fourth best db not gonna get any votes for defensive player of the year but he has one year remaining on his contract here in 2033 he's down to an 86 overall at 34 years old but still pretty good attributes 91 speed 85 zone 85 tackle 94 hit power he's had a very very good career he stayed at a pretty good overall the entire time he's in the top two percent of all strong safeties in the league in his 14th season but at the end of 2034 it's another year of not making the playoffs for the eagles randy had a better year at quarterback but sean taylor 96 tackles four for loss no sacks no interceptions no force fumbles but he's still like not regressing all that much 87 overall for him you love to see it we see his all-time numbers they are not bad at all 20 interceptions 28 tackles for loss five and a half sacks 1300 tackles or something like that but unfortunately this would be the end of the road as sean taylor retires after 14 years had a great career and this could be you know what might have happened had uh that tragedy not occurred but we have nothing here for hall of fame caden stearns was mentioned it's ridiculous but that's gonna do it
