hi my name is Stephen Hancock and I'm the director and cinematographer for SCP doll house back in November I proach to Evan Muir who was the writer of this piece and I wanted I told him I said hey I really want to make a Blake a military short film something dealing with you know like operators with night-vision goggles and everything there were only a handful of people that are gonna get so we brought out like you know like an 18 page script we took about a month of pre-production and I worked on this other set which is where I met Trevon which is Coleman's actor and he told me hey I know a military adviser because that was one of the main things that we needed was someone that could help us give us like a realistic like tactical visuals basically and he he told us like you know what I get it like I hate this whole I hate the whole like not like tactical accuracy like on screen and everything so all the pieces basically just started like coming together my name is Wayne gassman and I was first AC on dollhouse Stephen Hancock contacted me that he needed some gear and being a little bit of part of the airsoft community for the past like around 12 years I had a handful of like vests and camo and little airsoft guns that we could use in the film on top of that he needed some low light camera stuff which I have a couple of and a ronin s and then I also have a light AC kit that I brought along just so we could do a really light running gun kind of shooting style with the film this whole film we've shot with one lens 24 to 70 2.8 G master those swamps new problems oh it's great my name is Karen Elizabeth I served as producer and script supervisor for the house some of the tools that I used for production to keep it flowing were the script breakdown sheets the call sheets and the script supervisor notes our director and cinematographer Steven Hancock when he approached me about doing this project told me about SCP and I hadn't really never known about that as a story world before and getting to know about SCP foundation and what they do in this fictional world was very exciting to me learning about SCP foundation and the existing audience that was there was very exciting because it's gratifying when you can make content for an audience that's excited about what you're bringing to them the lighting setups that we were doing I kind of wanted to go for more of a like a natural ambient light so most of the lights that we were using were kind of like on one or two percent because we were shooting at like ISO 40000 with the a7s so we were able to really just pick up and move and we didn't really have to change anything which may be the entire project very fluid my name is victim Inga's and i was the first assistant director i was able to keep things flowing and getting the shot ready making sure that everyone was in their positions and everybody was prepped and ready to you know just do what they had to do and make him making sure that the actors were in full costume whenever they really needed to be and when we got into the night stuff that's when things started to kind of slow down especially with the the talent because you know you just get fatigued and especially with those guys I mean you know they were carrying you know over 20 30 pounds of equipment on them that was a challenge yeah but you know they're professional guys and you know we got it done what made it really easy was that all of our actors were wearing masks and we went in with the intention of just dubbing everything so we didn't have to worry about performances from actors it was just like hey who's your body language right or just the shot look cool and then we would just evident I contacted all of these voice actors that we've been working with for like the past 10 years or so and we said hey like we have this project we ended up actually having them wear bandanas in the recording booths so that we could kind of get some kind of a texture and their voice to match you know the screen actors even though they were just kind of like mouthing the words they weren't actually saying it there were a few times where they were but anything to really sway the the idea like is this dubbed or was this actually captured on set it took about maybe two months or so to put everything together and I think about two weeks for sound that Evan just kind of like just went completely solo on and then maybe four days for mixing and we kind of had this we were we were a little frantic at first because we had a lot riding behind this and we're like what we have to deliver now because we released the trailer after we we had just shot everything and I just said here's some cool shots here's a here's a rough assembly of everything now that we have everything together this is this is a piece that we're actually really excited to show
