has become his counselor or who has first given to him and it shall be repaid to him for of him and through him and to him are all sins to whom be glory forever amen that is the word of the lord but i to raise a godly people and that technically renders marriage and firmly a battlefield between god and lucifer god has a purpose with it the devil is not happy that we will occupy the places that he left and so he will make sure he works to swat the plan of god as god wants you for eternal life the devil wants you for eternal dew so that battle continues until the day christ will come we all know that the devil has come to steal to kill and to destroy for one simple reason we do not experience eternal life we were made for heaven we were made for eternity and so today he has several wiles several things whatever you want to call it that he has crafted to make sure that it thwarts the very plan of god this week we are going to look at the many scenes the devil has crafted to be able to thwart the plan of god of repopulating heaven with humanity remember the battlefield is marriage the battlefield is family that is where the war is raging i entitled today's series the endangered party again the book i read from an accept truth about angels the pages 48 paragraph 4 the lord speaks to his servant and says as soon as the lord through jesus christ created our world and placed adam and eve in the garden of aden saturn announced his purpose to conform to his own nature the father and mother of all humanity and that has been his purpose since that time to conform us to his own nature that we become rebellious and the minute we become rebellious and begin to live a rebellious life we are sure we are locked out of heaven page 52 paragraph one the lord continues to speak through ellen white and says eve had been cautioned not to separate from her husband in her employment one of these fine days in the course of the week we shall look at that in detail and everyone will have to make a decision on their own for she might be brought in contact with a fallen foe [Music] separated from each other they would be in greater danger than if both were together i don't know whether it's ringing a bell if eve is separated from adam the danger is greater than when they are together i've said in the course of the week we'll look at that in detail those of us that have our spouses far away and we are also far away and before you know it they stop coming home on the weekend and you ask mona okukuya why didn't you come said go too busy the reports i was supposed to don't know what to do and you've just arrived in nairobi some few minutes to curfew time the things that happen in this world god forbid paragraph 1 spirit of prophecy says eve went from the side of her husband viewing the beautiful things of nature in god's creation nothing wrong with that delighting her senses with the colors and fragrance of the flowers and the beauty of the trees and shrubs she wandered near the forbidden tree and for sure she met saturn masquerading as a serpent amidst her reasoning with saturn they engage in a conversation eve yielded into temptation and ate of the forbidden fruit i want you to notice something if you read your bible so well when eve ate of the forbidden fruit i am so sure from what i read from the bible that heavens was so shocked very shocked but heavens was not shaken so shocked but not shaken why because adam had not yet eaten off the forbidden fruit i'm not saying that women are insignificant no i am saying when she ate of the fruit yes heavens were shocked but never shaken and so eve became as ellen white says the book patriarchs and prophets page 55 paragraph three eve became the agent of saturn in working the ruin of her husband it means the devil was not in the first place interested with eve he was entrusted with other and the way to get to adam was through what through if he succeeded he did page 56 paragraph two periods and prophet says adam understood that eve had transgressed the command of god and i like it the way our chief speaker put it yesterday and said that adam was never deceived it was a choice he made and he knew what he was doing adam understood that eve had transgressed the command of god he moaned that he had permitted eve to wander from his side at times i always say when marriage goes down you don't blame the woman you blame the man we shall look at it in the course of the week when marriage fails to work you blame the man not the woman i know i have sparked a controversy on social media but we shall look at it in detail in the course of the week why you don't blame the woman you blame the man we shall look at it it was a gift that in his eyes out valued love the way spirit of prophecy puts it we are still in paragraph two eve was a gift that in his eyes out valued every other and he could not endure the pain of separation he did not realize that the same infinite power who had from the dust of the earth created him a living beautiful form and had in love giving him a companion could supply her place adam forgot that the same god that gave him eve could actually give him another woman if she must die he would die with her that is what he decided if you're dying i love you too much that i love god we will die together i'm imagining he was thinking like some of us think he will create another adam seized the fruit from eve's hand and quickly ate it immediately the divine presence was manifested in eddie the moment adam ate of the fruit the lord showed up what are we saying when he ate the fruit heaven was not only shocked but shaken to the core god felt poked in the eye why for one simple reason the foundations had been shaken remember heaven is shaken for another second reason that god has no backup plan and the foundation is already tampered with he shifted uncontrollably on his throne and had to show up in garden because adam has eaten of that fruit since aiden the devil has succeeded in bringing down families by destroying the foundation the foundation here is man adam once you shake the foundation destroy it you have destroyed marriage you have destroyed the family and today he's not interested in women no no no no the devil is interested in the foundation that's why i have a problem with women who keep on insisting that they can do life without a man we are talking about the foundation it is a thought and attitude the devil has given us to be able to demean the place of a man in this life you cannot do without him after you're married connie why did you get into marriage if you could do without amano [Music] why did you in the first place and that strategy is the same to date he has not changed it the use of women as agents to destroy the foundation of marriage and family you only need to hit the man so hard and the whole unit and the institution comes down and that is why listen to me carefully when a man dies somebody chewed off when a man dies for marriage and family to continue the lord steps in to become the foundation and he says i am now the husband to weedles why the foundation is gone god has never said i'm the husband to single people it says i am the father to the fatherless so don't try this at home and say if we do so and so can live life with the children that we know is not a widow per se he's a widow in this society but in the eyes of heaven is married to god himself what better husband would you want between you and your husband which has between god and the husband which one is better now learning god steps in to be the foundation and life continues because the foundation is even firmer better my time is moving so fast no problem we will finish today's presentation tower so the woman has always been the agent and i've always said men can do anything in this world men can bring down empires but it only takes a woman to bring down a man just a woman you can use another man it will not come down it only takes a woman even one who has not gone to school just to do makeup nicely the man is gone the engineer is gone the doctor is gone the professor is gone and who has he who has been used a woman who didn't go beyond gradate just nice hips good boobs and makeup gone look at bible times that is how david went down that is the same way solomon went down samsung went down by use today everybody talks of girl empowerment i have no problem with girl empowerment i have no problem with women emancipation so far we are able to speak good english because we went to school i have no problem but you look at every corner of the world everyone is talking girl employment girl child women emancipation everyone talks and thinks about it there is a lot of funding into it i've said i have no problem with it and there's nothing wrong with empowering a girl nothing but look at how the boy child has been neglected no one is talking boy and the devil knows what he's doing he knows it no one is talking about the boy child no one is talking about the male species it has been neglected deliberately why because today you want to live with a woman who is independent-minded it is difficult because the boy child has not been empowered yeah there is nothing you know if there is anything in store for you the devil has made sure you drink a lot and you chase after women as he empowers the girl child and then you meet this girl who's over empowered and has to stay with a man who is not empowered they cannot even reason together very hard to stay with her very hard what is the devil doing ruining the foundation strengthening the walls when the foundation is weak as we empower our girls we must also empower our boys hallelujah the boys must be taught empowered how to live with an independent-minded woman else we are losing families we will and we have lost many and the women have begun to feel like we can do without a man because how do you live for the next 40 years with a man who cannot think how how you bring a discussion on the table you can't reason any minute you want to discuss anything important the only thing you can say is because you have gone to school it's because you have a masters it's because you have a phd who stopped you from going to school it's because the girl is over empowered the boy we have neglected deliberately this thing cannot think it's hard women have told me pastor it's boring i cannot continue a man who cannot even see can't think beyond his nose it's not that you cannot think effort was put in one place and the other side was neglected so we must come up as a church we must come up a society and ensure the boys we raise are equally empowered praise the lord praise the lord [Music] then you'll hear things like this i call them cliches you'll hear someone say if you educate a man you educate an individual if you educate a woman you educate society so as we continue to destroy the foundation because we think that when you educate a man you educate an individual and when you educate a woman you educate society so we have men the foundation grows weaker by the day [Music] they are called cliches cliches is a statement that is not necessarily true it is not it is not it's not necessarily true i'm not saying you don't educate your children your girls i'm saying take them to schools proper but we must ensure the boy child is taken care of in equal measure we have to the foundation of any family the foundation of any church the foundation of any community of any society is the man and i would quickly ask what is a family what is a church what is society what is a community without the men tell me and as you meet [Music] people who can comfortably say i can do life on my own i can do without a man the same same people who can do life without a man are struggling with masturbation [Music] are struggling with sex toys struggling with pornography struggling with prostitution but they can do without a man the same people who can do without men are in dire need of children and they say i don't want commitment i can just get someone to make me pregnant and i take care of the baby look at where the devil is headed with us this society is no society without the man the sooner you understand it the better you come up with if your husband left you and you keep on saying let me see how far he goes i tell you the devil will take him very far i will take care of everything yes you will but i can assure you the devil is working in your life the devil has stolen your husband the devil has stolen your wife the attitude you wear it's not let me see how far they can go no the attitude aware is that that which belongs to me has been stolen i must get it in jesus name we must get it niyako let me finish [Music] this has been the strategy of the devil for ages to render men adulterers render men irresponsible render men careless and when you see this just understand that the foundation has been tampered with so when you see a man when you see a husband becoming adulteress becoming irresponsible becoming careless the devil has actually attacked your family to render the foundation weak you don't help him make it more weaker you don't you don't how did god handle it he knew that the pair had become helpless he knew it adam and eve and in and of themselves they could not do anything about their state he knew the family had been tampered with and he immediately rolled out the plan of redemption as an intervention to rescue the only plan that he has for repopulating heaven he was not going to blame anyone because he knew both were helpless for the mistake that they did god was not going to blame man god was not going to blame the woman no on the contrary [Music] he was going to redeem them so what do you do when a spouse when a child has been attacked by the devil when the devil has stolen them when the devil has taken them to destroy them and kill them what do we do that is the question god himself didn't blame god himself redeemed looked for them i know we have perfected the art of blame [Music] and instead of rolling out the plan of salvation we have sought to look for something or someone to blame on our failed marriages god is the dependent on a sober spouse for the salvation of their spouse and children so i don't believe this other cliche that says it takes two for marriage to work have you heard about it yeah they say it takes two for marriage to work so if the devil knows that is how you understand it he will only deal with one of you because he knows you will quit once he deals with one of you it only takes one sober child of god for marriage to work one sober that when he attacks my marriage and family i simply roll out the plan of salvation so when you say i will go we are moving to our families to say the way you serve a drunkard out there in a crusade the way you serve a prostitute out there in a crusade the way you serve whoever out there in a crusade is the same way you should save your family hallelujah why should it become difficult with your family why should we take all this music out there and not have it in our families why is it possible with god out there and is not possible with god in here when one party has been assailed do not blame anyone don't simply roll out the plan of salvation why because god has promised to be with us to the end of the age praise the lord praise the lord we have been sent on mission and mission begins with our home when it begins to go haywire you don't blame anyone you simply join god in the salvation of your children in the salvation of your spouse it is my prayer [Music] as we go back to our homes as the day ends today [Music] that you will understand you are a co-laborer with god in the salvation of fellow men he needs you to save your spouse he needs you to save your child he needs you and depends on you for a godly humanity may the lord bless us in jesus holy name amen let us pray heavenly father when our first parents fell you understood they could not save themselves and immediately you swung into action and rolled out the plan of redemption to save the only plan you have to repopulate heaven many times the foundations and families our men have been attacked it gets weaker by the day we still engage in blame game we still wear and i don't care attitude but what you expect of us is that we too should equally roll out the plan of salvation to be able to save our spouses and children i pray that your children will understand deeply that you need all of us to be able to save our families and that lord we will purpose both a firm and conscious move to go after that with the devil has stolen that which intends to destroy and kill we will reclaim it in the name remind you that there is hope for each one of us even as we go through the tough times not just because of coverage 19 and the challenges of life but tough times because we are in this world of sin and so today i'm going to go back and recap a little bit on what we covered yesterday on the topic that we dealt with which was sin pig is speak and we are basically talking about the universal need lord god has commanded now for you stephen i say there is no employer who gives you sabbath freedom your sabbath freedom was given when god created the universe when god created in six days and rested on the sabbath day he commanded all men to rest on the sabbath day in memory of creation and memory of redemption therefore if you believe in the bible the word of god as i can see stephen you do then take your sabbath freedom approach your employer explain to him what i've just explained to you it's found in exodus it's found in the new testament and the lord himself has given you freedom so take pig the piglet looking at one another and the piglet looked at the mother and somehow the snout was much longer than hers and she turned to the mother and said mom am i a pig and the mother said yes and then he turned to the mother and said but what about you are you a pig and the mother said yes i'm a pig and then out of frustration the baby pig asked but why is my snout so short and you snout so long and the mother just kept on eating and the baby was getting frustrated so in her frustration she asked again why is my snout short and you are so long and the mother looked at the baby and said you know what my dear you are a small pig with a small snout i am a big pig with a big snout when you grow old you will have just a big snout a long snout like mine and the mother kept on feeding beloved our my message today is dedicated to the youth of our nations who are frustrated as they look at the lives of adults and they wonder what role models do we have in our society they look at us and we look to them as if we are all hypocrites as a matter of fact one of them suggested not too long ago in one of our daily newspapers that the only way to create a better solution for our country is if we all stopped speaking in our mother tongues and we only adopt one language somehow that will help to bring us together and they had a brilliant idea in what uh the author of that article was saying but i read the article and i was just amused i said keep on writing keep on thinking you are on the right track that when you grow old you will realize that the problem is not the languages that we speak you know we live in a nation today where our youth don't care where you come from what your second name is all about they're calling i'm john i am james i'm jane i am mary and so your son comes home with mary and you ask uh where is mary coming from and says daddy does that really matter i say okay it may not matter but do you know who mary's dad is all about he said i don't know and then they sit down and they talk and one is on the cell phone the other one is on a cell phone and their friends come and they sit together and everybody's glued to the phone and then you wonder why were you coming together in the first place you are so bored when you are away you want to see one another when you are together you are bored you are speaking to people who are so far away from you it's the world that the new generation is living in today it's a world that is frustrating to them because they look at us and just like the mother pig we seem to be having such long snouts but i say when you grow up like the mother pig said you will develop a long snout because the problem is not being old or being young it's not an issue of a generational gap it's not a time that you are living in human nature has not changed i want to remind you of what we dealt with yesterday when man sinned the life of man changed in such a way that it is irreversible the bible says in john in in the book of jeremiah chapter 17 and verse 9 the bible says that the heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked who can know it we are living a life that is so rotten that if we try to make it better we are only making it worse and the sooner we admit that our lives are rotten the better it shall be for each one of us the sooner we admit that we need a savior the better it will be for all of us i really believe in that i really believe that the health of this world is not in us it's not in our government systems it's not in our economic systems it's not in humanity to save humanity and that's the reason why i'm coming here today coming to you today with the word of god which is the only help so let me recap with you what you have done so far we said that uh when adam fell in sin a few things happened the life of adam passed on the life that adam and eve passed on to us is a life which unfortunately is ruined by sin and yesterday i gave some three definitions of sin i'm gonna add more so that you may see how desperate our situation is it's important for you to understand our situation our context so that you can reach out and grab and grasp the only source of life and hope that they raise for all humanity unless you face these things squarely you will not be able to face life as you should jesus said in the book of john chapter 8 verse 32 that you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free most of the things that we hear in the name of religion or science or whatever do not meet the real need of our society and i want to give hope to the new generation as as i get older i am praying and and longing that there be something in our country in the countries of the world that can bring hope to the young people this is a desire in all old people like me that our children live in a better world but we they cannot live in a better world if we don't show them that better world and i'm saying that better world is not something that you and i can give that hope for a better world a better life a life that can face any situation that hope can only be found in god and in god alone adam's sin affected his life in four ways number one it affected his life spiritually it also affected him physically adam was now prone to fatigue he got tired he gets sick and he dies so there is fatigue sickness and death this is common to all humanity on the physical level we grow old and growing old is not fun you ask somebody people try to to to make growing all something nice but let me tell you growing old is not fun because things change in your system the other day i was trying to jog i i like jogging i've been jogging for the last 30 or 40 years or so and i was moving my hands faster than my legs could carry me does anyone of you know what i'm talking about you think you are running that people looking at you think you are funny a friend of mine told me that he was smiling he was told to smile and take a photo and then the granddaughter looked at him and said babu why are you crying and the man thought he was smiling but in the photo he looks as if he is crying and if you want to know what i'm talking about go to the developed world and see how many people are trying to stretch their smiling mics pull their body up but it keeps on hanging down you develop wrinkles people try to work on them people make business of you you dye your hair whatever you do you are still growing old this is the effect of our union with adam we grow old we become sick we die and nobody should get comfortable with all these things sickness and death was not meant to be a part of our experience and sickness sometimes comes just when you are in the prime of your life you have done everything you wanted to do in life and now you want to settle down and enjoy life and then you visit a doctor and pain you are told you have a terminal disease and these things are frustrating and death does not even wait for you to be old you know i i have seen my friend somebody gets married for for three months and the young man dies and leaves a widow just after three months and our society is a cruel society where young widows cannot get good husbands we need to change that the bible says that once marriage marriage is until death and once you die the one who remains is free we need to change some of our cultural things so that the young widows who are remaining can get young husbands and live their lives we are living in a world that is so uncertain young people this is because of what the scene of adam did to all of us number one since adam's sin was turning his back on god the first thing that happened is that the holy spirit left him and his life was planned into spiritual darkness so we are living a life that is not having the spirit we are not having the spirit of god in us by nature some of our consciences are dead people are doing things that you want how could they do that we are born dead spiritually as far as the things of god are concerned we are simply dead the book of ephesians chapter 2 verse 1 says and by the way i want you to be having a pen and paper and write some of these texts because i said yesterday from today onwards when we come tomorrow i will be asking you questions on what we covered today and i will be giving you gifts so take a pen and paper and jot down some of these texts i'm opening the book of ephesians in the new testament chapter 2 verse 1 the bible says and you he made a live who are dead in trespasses and sins you are born dead in trespasses dead in sins just from the time you were born the very nature number two the very nature of his life changed from selfless love to self the principle of all sin beloved is the principle of self we are all inward looking we all love ourselves more than we love anybody my sister was talking before me here about family lives the trouble one of the troubles is that in family life in marriage we are bringing two selfish people together and to bring two selfish people together to live in common in love is a nightmare in itself when somebody tells you that he loves you or she loves you take it with a pinch of soil true life true love is not something that resides in human beings no human being can of himself or herself love you like god does our love at its best is self-centered let me ask you if you're watching me and you're a married man or married woman answer this question for me the man sitting next to you or the lady you're trying to who who and mary i want to ask you just one question and give me the answer when you are looking for a person to marry did you pray to god and said god i have met this woman and the way she looks she is so ugly that if i don't marry her nobody else will ever marry her so god please allow me to marry her because she is the ugliest i could find i answer you know the answer what about you ladies were you looking for the worst man the worst drunkard the crook of all crooks were you looking for the ugliest man to marry because you said god the way i look at this man if i don't get married to him probably he'll never get married so lord my heart is full of love let me marry this bad one of course you know the answer you are not looking for the worst you're looking for the best because you're looking for someone for yourself it was your need that you wanted met not his or her needs we come into relationships when we are full of needs and we come into relationships when we are so hungry we are coming into relationship when we are so needy we come with so many needs and we are hoping that we will find somebody who will meet our needs and so we come with these great expectations based on what we want for ourselves and therefore our expectations are never met and before too long our marriages are in trouble but sister mokoro will be dealing with that we are in trouble the trouble is from within us our hearts are rotten desperately wicked is god who says that not me now answer me if you find something that is someone who is sick beyond cure what do you do and you say pastor pray what about if you are prayed and god says that person cannot be healed it is beyond cure what more do you do the answer is nothing you wait for death if god says it cannot be cured it cannot be cured but i've got good news for you though your nature and my nature changed and became selfish and and rotten beyond cure there is still hope that there is a god who can give you a new heart no change your rotten heart god can give you a new heart and a new mind that's what god wants to give you and me a new life not transforming the old life god is promising you a completely new life number four his life came under the dominion of satan who became the ruler or the prince of this world i've said four things one the holy spirit left him two his life which was conditionally mortal came under the curse of the law and was condemned to death you are born condemned born condemned i want you to swallow that not guilty but condemned in other words all the good things that you may do you may be religious as much as you want to be religious your religion cannot save you you may develop a good character in life you may live a nice life a good life and by the way you don't have to be a christian to live a good life i have been to places i've been to many places i've been with people my friends who are not even christians and they are polished people in character they are good-natured people they live with integrity they are honest people a friend of mine told me that you went to do an evangelistic campaign somewhere and in this hotel he took his laptop and went to the counter and told the lady behind the counter please keep my laptop for me and this friend of mine actually my teacher professor love so much says that the lady looked at him and said you must be a christian and she looked back to the lady and said wow how did you know i'm a christian because this is a muslim hotel we don't steal take your laptop back to your room and keep it there don't even worry about closing the door just live it you are in another world this is a muslim world there is no stealing here and indeed he lived with this his for two weeks three weeks nothing happened nobody touched a thing you can live a good moral life without necessarily being a christian i'm talking about behavior you can have an admirable behavior in society you can live a well-disciplined life anybody who is disciplined can live a certain respectful life but that cannot give you salvation because you are born condemned you see what god is looking at is much deeper than behavior god is looking at your heart and so the very nature changed and therefore when god is bringing salvation he has to deal with your nature itself so since we are all the extension of adam's life the moment we were born into this world we received or inherited the about four-fold effects of adam's ruined life and according to the hebrew old testament there are some 12 words that will define for you sin and i want just to take a few of them that have been combined into seven let me just give you seven of them to add to what i gave you yesterday number one a deliberate act against the law of god is sin we cover that according to the greek lawlessness choosing to live a life of sin is sin the bible says sin is lawlessness sin is the transgression of the law write this verse first john chapter three verse four next number two a mental consent to a temptation even though the act is not committed hear me in your mind you have consented you have wished that it could be yours you have lasted for it that sin of converting is also seen it's a mental scene romans chapter 7 verse 7 to 11. number three neglect of known duties or opportunities is also seen that is james chapter 4 verse 17. continuing number four doing the wrong thing out of ignorance now they say ignorance is no defense in the law you find that in leviticus chapter 5 verse 17 doing the wrong thing out of ignorance that also is seen number five doing the right thing such as good works or law keeping for the wrong motive fear of punishment or desire for reward that also is seen so when you say that you come to my world nobody will steal beloved if you believe if you lived in that world where my friend was you will not steal i've watched a in a youtube you can go there and see when somebody who sinned you put your hand and it is chopped and then it is put in oil and then you are left to go when you watch that the desire to sin will fail this is how it is handled in the bible an eye for an eye a tooth for a tooth you cut an arm your arm will be cut off beloved fear itself can stop you from sinning desire for popularity can stop you from sinning your behavior can be transformed by desire for popularity or for self-respect or all of those reasons so those ones also are still condemned by god as sin now these first five definitions of sin have to do with our behavior whether in thoughts in desires motives or acts the new testament describes these sins as a valve they their sins of commission their actions they are sins avoiding them may give you some kind of good life people may respect you but the question is why what is the motive you see the bible says that god judges our motives god is not just concerned with your behavior god is concerned by the reason the motive why you are doing what you are doing and that motive can be hidden from people but not from god god sees your heart god knows why you're doing what you're doing god is not impressed by behavior god wants to read your heart and know why you are doing what you are doing now there are other sins the next two scenes have to do with our nature or condition which we have inherited from adam the snout that is short the snout that is long but number six is this one our sinful natures which we inherited from adam after the fall this is now our condition by the way for those who who want to follow the greek language it makes it very clear the first five are the word described how martin these other two are conditions and they're described by a noun hermaton so you can check that and confirm to me that i'm giving you the truth so this one is a condition and that's what you find in romans chapter 5 verse 19 and verse 20 our sinful nature let me share with you that one write it down romans 5 19 and 20. remember yesterday i gave you psalms 51 where david is saying that i was born in sin and as you read on david christ creating me a clean heart renew a right spirit within me he discovered that this thing is beyond behavior i need a new heart i need a new spirit within me romans chapter 5 verse 19 reads for us by one man's disobedience many were made sinners so also by one man's obedience many will be made righteous verse 20. moreover the law entered that the offence might abound but we are seen abounded grace abounded much more that is the turning point but the point that you need to notice here is that the bible is saying one man's sin many were made sinners one man's disobedience adam's disobedience all of us receive this condition this nature that we have number seven is seen as a law or a constant force dominating every member of our bodies this is what makes us slaves to sin or self what we want to do we cannot do that which we want we don't want to do is what we do so this is slavery now it's a principle within us the principle is like the principle of gravity if i drop this uh fun of mine it will go down that experience will be there in any part of the of the earth where you may move to there's a principle of gravity that is pulling everything down within you because of sin of adam you have received a principle within yourself and within me that pulls us down to do the things that we don't want to do and as i said i'm speaking to the young people when you watch our lives you see us doing these things beloved let me tell you you are not different from us you need a savior we need a savior there is someone who can give the youth a new life someone who can give gold old people new life this is the only hope of the world and his name is the lord jesus christ the above seven definitions of sin fall into three basic categories as i summarized number one the sinful flesh remember john 3 6 that which is born of flesh is flesh this is our nature the nature that we have is sinful and there is nothing you can do about it number two the mind these are desires and motives and that's what we read in romans seven verse seven and eight our minds are minds that are twisted you wonder how people do these insane things we have minds that are untwisted and try as you are as you can as you may to become untwisted beloved you will not succeed number three is performance and that is sinful acts galatians 5 verse 19 and 21 take those verses down read them carefully because you need to know the truth for yourself don't waste your time becoming religious it's just going to transform your behavior you need to know the truth so that the truth can set you free you can realize that my i need a savior if the things i've said are true and the bible says they're true and the experience says they're true then you know you need a savior i need a savior and that's why god sent his son into the world he says that god jesus did not come to condemn the world but that through him the world might be saved turn with me to the book of john john chapter 3 john chapter 3 and i will be reading our verse 16 onwards this is a famous verse verse 16 of john chapter 3 is a very well known verse and the bible says for god so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life life that is endless the very life of god only god has immortality what god wants to give you and me is to bring us back into union with him through jesus christ and let his life flow back into us so that we don't have to to die we don't have to be sick we don't have to be tired in other words in christ jesus god wants to reverse all and in fact he has already reversed them in christ jesus that's what i'm going to talk to you about tomorrow how god has done wonderful things for us in christ jesus that today i want just to read these verses for you god loved the world when we're talking about the world here we are talking about humanity we are not talking about animals we are not talking about these world systems we are talking about man that god loved us that he gave his only begotten son now why did he give him he gave him because you and i could not save ourselves he gave him because the heart of god is love and that means that god reaches out god does not rejoice in the death of a sinner god does not wish you evil god does not think evil of any one of you god wishes you good god is good and all that god can think about you is good and all that god can do for you is good because that is his nature it doesn't matter who you are or where you are being god's nature is good god is thinking about you he is thinking good things about you you ought to say amen to that god is good that is his nature love is wishing somebody good and that's what god wishes you and that's what god wants to do for you others may wish you good but they will not have the capacity to do good for you god longs for the best for you and it's got the power to give you the very best and that is what god has done for us when he gave his only begotten son jesus christ to us he gave us the very best that he could offer because when he gave us christ the one through whom we made the universe god literally in christ gave us all things wait until tomorrow we are going to explore that but today let me check verse 17 for you it says for god did not send his son into the world to condemn the world hear the word of the lord he did not come to condemn us beloved we were already condemned listen he didn't come to condemn god does not condemn you and in fact since i learned what the gospel is all about i do not condemn anybody because i know that in me dwells nothing good in you does nothing good i often see hypocrites and young people say this i dedicate to you the problem with the world is a problem of hypocrisy hypocrisy is is is living a life which is veiled you see what happened in the garden of eden is that after mansion man was created clothed with the nature of god the bible says god is light and in him there is no darkness at all man was man was beaming with light all around it there was a glow of light all around man the presence of god was in man and man was glowing with light he was clothed with the light of god that when man sinned that light left because the holy spirit left and man looked at himself looked at the woman the woman looked at the man and behold they realized they were naked and from that day man started covering up they put figs on them now if you're dressed wherever you're watching me from or listening if you are dressed that is evidence that you are a sinner you cannot afford to be naked i know there are many people who are trying to be naked i know the devil is trying to strip us naked but if you are in your normal mind you cannot afford to be naked by the way mad people don't know that they're naked there was a madman in my village long time ago when i was a child and my elder brother tells me that this madman was one day sitting with the hands locked together handcuffed because he was beating people he was sitting naked in a bus and then another mad woman came into the same bus naked and the madman looked at the mad woman and said why is this woman walking naked before people and everybody passed into laughter because he himself was also naked beloved only mad people can walk naked the moment you are in your right mind you will cover up and that's what hypocrisy is all about acting what we are not we are covered up we are so deeply covered that when you think you are seeing somebody beloved you are not even seeing what that person is we are veiled we are in layers and layers of cover up and you peel off one layer there is still an inner layer we are so hidden we are so deeply in the woods and god wants to bring us out so that we may live authentic lives and admit who we are that we are sinners you see parents who are outside there if you can only admit to your children that you are a sinner you will help their lives sometimes we put for them standards that we ourselves did not keep when we are young and we want to force them to keep those standards and they look at us and they see hypocrisy in us and because they're young they are having idealistic minds they don't like hypocrisy until they themselves become hypocrites but through that process we lose them i like one of my friends who went to his father and the father he told the father that i did this thing and the teacher punished me and the father laughed and said son i did the same also do you know how much freedom it gives you when your parents are honest with you i think we always to god to come back before even our children and admit that without god we are nothing they need us to admit to them that we also are lost without god the bible says that jesus did not come to condemn us by the way let me tell you if you see me do anything good those of you who know me that's when you should be surprised because goodness is not in my nature neither it is in you what is in your nature and mind is to lie what is in your nature and mind is to hide is to be hypocrites what is in my nature and your nature is to deny things live in denial that is in our nature what is in our nature is to pretend to be what we are not but to be absolutely honest absolutely loving living with dignity living with integrity that needs help from god and the grace of god is available unto us so jesus says he did not come to condemn the world but that the world through him might be saved that's why he came that's why he was not impressed by man because the bible says he knew what was in man look at verse 18 he who believes in him is not condemned but he who does not believe is condemned already that's what i've been talking about you are condemned already just by being born in this world you are born hopeless you see if you are in a boat a boat that is leaking and the sea is rough and it is constantly leaking beyond your ability to push i mean to to ch to do to remove water from the boat those from the lake to understand when the boat is leaking you have a bucket and you draw water out of the boat that if water is coming in faster than you are able to get it out of the boat beloved one thing is clear unless rescue comes you are going to sink now if you don't know how to swim and the boat is going down it really doesn't matter whether you have a good nature whether you are having good integrity or whatever you might be having yourself it doesn't matter whether you're thin or or fat it doesn't matter whether you're educated or not as long as you are in a sinking boat you are in trouble it's not what you think you are it is the boat that you are in aim that's having a problem the boat is going down and the only salvation that you need can only come from outside now when salvation comes from outside and the boat is going down and somebody says give me your hand and you refuse to stretch forth your hand and grab the hand that is in the other boat beloved you will go down but this time you are going down not because the boat was sinking and you did not know how to swim but you are going down because you made up your mind to remain in a sinking boat beloved i'm telling you today that the world in which we live in is condemned already the life that you have that you cherish so much that you work so hard for this life is already condemned it cannot live for long life is uncertain challenges are many but god is stretching forth his hand and he's telling you i have come give me your hand that i may pull you out of this trouble look i am not condemning you god did not come to condemn you try as much as you can you cannot save yourself god is saying face the truth you cannot do it let me do it for you and he gave us jesus christ who has come and is offering unto us free salvation free for us but for him he had to go to the cross because the bible says the wages of sin is dead he humbled himself and went to the cross it was not easy for him to go to the cross beloved for he knew that the wages of sin is not temporary death it is separation from god forever and jesus submitted himself allowed himself to experience to test death the bible says in the book of hebrews that he tasted death for everyone you see right now whether you're a christian a pastor a preacher or whatever you are in the christian world you still die the death that jesus died is not this one that we talk about otherwise jesus could have been a coward you see when socrates drank that that the hamlet uh the hemlock the poison he took it gladly because in his mind he thought he was releasing his brain is releasing his soul so that he will be free to live eternally that is a greek thought they believe that man as a soul that lives forever and the body is a cage and you need to be released from this body that's alive from the devil i will show you if you remain with us when jesus was dying beloved he did not die with that kind of courage of socrates he cried my god my god why hast thou forsaken me beloved he was forsaken that you and i might be accepted and today we are accepted in him because he suffered eternal death we are accepted to enjoy eternal life the resurrection life of jesus christ is the life that god is offering you and i and we are going to explore that in details so stay with me so that you may understand what took place at the cross so that you may appreciate the work of god and learn to trust in him no matter what you are going through this is the power that will make you face life with courage when you fully understand what god has done for you and for me in christ jesus father we thank you for what you have done for us help us to believe the truth that we may walk in the freedom that christ has given us that we may face life with courage knowing that we have a god who has not come to condemn us because we are born condemned but one who has come to redeem us to save us
