handling another emotive subject like i've always prayed the holy spirit will deepen our understanding it's titled till death do us but to divorce or not don't forget the whole of this week we have been talking about the kind of things that the devil uses to bring down marriage and family institution and unit don't forget that next week we'll be handling how to go about all this so today we are talking about till death do us part to divorce or or not they say for better or for worse for richer or a poor in sickness or in health till death do us but i think this became too difficult for many people today you are allowed to define your own vow that does not tie you to this nonsense in goods but allow me to use it because for me it makes sense for better or for worse for richer of a poorer in sickness or in health till death do as part it's a vow that most of us have made without an understanding of what they are doing i think we're in a hurry for honeymoon we are in a hurry for that night wedding night in fact we are wasting your time so you rush through the vows you don't even understand what you're doing but allow me to also say that it's a vow you cannot mess with it's a vow to god do not delay to pay it for he has no pleasure in fools it means when you make a vow you don't pay it the bible calls you a fool pay what you have vow verse 5 says this better not to vow than to vow and not pay do not let your mouth cause your flesh to sin nor say before the messenger of god that it was an error i didn't know what i was doing i didn't mean it i was asked they deceived me why should god be angry at your excuse and destroy the works of your hands interesting enough no one ever talks to us about the wasps no one talks to us about the poorer no one talks to us about what is say it and the text we've always used is matthew 19. allow me do it matthew 19. we love to use that text to validate divorce 19 1-3 says now it came to pass when jesus had finished these sayings that lawful for a man to divorce his wife for just any reason listen to that for just any reason i tell you today we divorce because we feel we are not compatible and you can never miss grounds for divorce a word that has been used there sexual and sensual excesses and indulgence of every kind of extramarital unlawful or unnatural sexual intercourse we are talking about adultery we are talking about fornication we are talking about pornography masturbation homosexuality incest bestiality prostitution name meat whether physical or mental i can see someone saying hey is my back like that whether physical or mental let's take for example adult just an example that you are permitted on these grounds but to this same people is talking to in chapter 19 christ has already defined adultery in the indulger he who marries the divorced woman also commits adultery be very careful very careful my young people when marrying a devotee be very careful you are actually getting into an adulterous get married you become adulteress number two if you want to remarry the bible says reconcile to your husband look for him where he went if you want to remarry wait until you're told nakano he has died you're not supposed to be here so they quickly rushed her and tested and found that actually she was healed and god had created in her two brand new lands so beloved this is a true story when god with confidence lord that whatever we ask you you answer us that you do it in your wisdom in your power according to your knowledge of what is best for us and it is in this context that we bring el dosano before you man from sin with a brother who is having psychosis lord you gave us the brains fantastic brains lord that can think your thoughts after you and the devil's messed up this brain we are asking you to send an angel to restore that brain that it can function according to your will that this brother may be able to receive the gospel and leave for your glory and father we are the tombs oh lord the spirits of darkness were oppressing them lord if what if what this child is going through is physical lord give a healing if it is demonic lord give her healing because you have got power to restore us whether the problem is chemical whether it is psychological and it is demonic if she is having demonic oppression right now father reach out and release her and we thank you this is their time and i'm praying lord may your holy spirit release healing power convicting power that thousands literally thousands will come to know you during this week release them from the spirit move around and anywhere and everywhere where there are people who have been doubting their salvation who have not yet been baptized or were baptized but went back right to the world father that god gave man when man committed sin he did not deserve any other blessing because he separated himself from god but our god being a gracious god he left him with a promise he told the man you listen to your wife from today out of the sweat of your brow you shall eat so eating continues but you have to sweat for it but he left him with two blessings number one he said okay you guys will remain married he left him with a blessing of family so family is blessed but the other blessing he left him with was the blessing of the sabbath and the sabbath is blessed and if you're a servant keeper when this day comes you just relax because god is telling you rest your work may not be finished it may not be perfect but i'm inviting you to rest in my perfect and finished work and so god is inviting you to rest wherever you are if you have never kept the sabbath tonight i'm inviting you to rest with us and enjoy the blessing of the lord i will talk about the sabbath today but i'm going to talk about it in the context of kingdom living now for those who have been with us this past week we have been laying the background on the gospel the truth as it is in christ the truth that saves us what god has done for us in christ jesus what god has already provided for us he made christ to be the last adam the second man the second head of humanity and all that christ is we are and we have seen this week that christ has actually made us in him we have crossed over from the kingdom of darkness and we have entered into the kingdom of god already we are already in the kingdom of grace if you believe in the lord jesus christ the reign of god has come in your life the holy spirit is back in your life you have been reconciled you have been restored back to god and now you are a citizen of heaven philippians chapter 3 verse 20 says that our citizenship is in heaven from whence we all wait for the savior the lord jesus christ so if you believe in the lord jesus christ you are a part of the commonwealth of heaven we are members of heaven we are the household of god on earth that's why when we pray we say father your will be done on earth even as it is done in heaven so because we are citizens of heaven because we belong into the kingdom of god this week we are going to talk about the practicality the practical life kingdom living now so i'm gonna lead you to know that you are in the kingdom and you must start living like a child of god now what does it take to live like a child of god how does a child of god face life remember our theme is facing life in tough times and somebody has said that you need to know your purpose we are meant to rule with god our status our sons and daughters is both by birth we are born into this kingdom and it's also by adoption the bible says in john chapter 1 that he came to his own and his own did not receive him but as many as received him to them he gave the power to become the sons of god that means the authority the privilege to be sons of god so we are born into the family of god and then we have been adopted into that family we have legal rights in the kingdom of god according to ephesians chapter one and verse five so sonship through adoption in christ puts us into a new relationship to god that even adam and eve did not enjoy before i go deeper into the teaching for today and i want you to take pen on paper and write because tonight i am gonna teach you something that will make you rejoice in christ jesus we are not just restored but god has brought us to a place where the relationship which we are now enjoying in christ jesus is far much above that which adam had when god created him our union with christ raises us up beloved the new humanity in christ to a level that is higher than that before the fall of adam we have become joint heirs together with christ and one author said something ellen g white has written and i want to read to you what she says an amazing statement by his life and his death that's in the book design of ages christ has achieved even more than recovery from the rune wrought by through sin rot through sin that ruined god has gone beyond that it was satan's purpose beloved to bring about an eternal separation between god and man but in christ we become more closely united to god than if we had never fallen you need to write that statement down because the good news is so good beloved that i don't understand how anyone can reject what god has done for us god has done something that is amazing to the entire universe that has lifted fallen humanity and raised up man to be the ruler together with christ a joint heir remember when we are talking about christ beloved we are talking about god himself we have god the father the son and the holy spirit it is through the son that he made all things that son of god who himself is god has united himself with humanity not for time but for eternity for eternity we are one with god why can't i share men to that in christ we become more closely united to god than if we had never fallen in taking our nature the savior has bound himself to humanity by a time that is never to be broken throughout eternity beloved throughout eternity christ is linked with us this is what gives you power to face life if you know if the holy spirit helps you to believe just what i've read it's enough for me to go and sit down and start rejoicing in music we start singing we start praising god because this is too powerful that god is linked with us the devil thought of separating us from god but god has now linked us with himself with courts that can never be broken for eternity we are linked with god he has brought us so close beloved so close we are in the inner house of god linked to the sun through the eternal ages she continues to write he is linked with us god so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life he gave him not only to bear our sins beloved but he says and to die as our sacrifice he gave him to the fallen race to assure of us to assure us of his immutable counsel of peace beloved god gave his only begotten son to become one of the human family forever to retain his human nature forever wherever christ will be for all eternity he will be like you and me there is someone in heaven who looks just like you i want to encourage you no matter what you are going through you are highly represented in heaven just look up if you are going through pain just today i buried a friend i saw people surrounded i preached in the funeral of a friend of mine i conducted their their their wedding and today it was a sad experience to see that young man go down at only a very young age but beloved he loved the lord jesus christ he made up with this his mind he is linked with christ and even where is lying in the grave a day is coming when god will call and he will hear the dead shall hear and the dead shall rise incorruptible and because jesus lives his family shall live also because they love the lord beloved this is what gives us power to face the future because we know that we are linked we are joined with him we are like this with god beloved we are tight with god god is for you god is for us don't you ever allow the devil to tell you that god doesn't care about you we are linked with him forever this is the place that god will fulfill his word unto us a child is born and unto us a son is given and the government shall be upon his shoulder you know we sing songs many people are sing unto us a child is born um the government shall be upon us and we sing but do we realize that god is not calling us to religion he is calling us to a kingdom a government that is on the shoulders of jesus christ beloved if you belong to god if you know the lord jesus christ you are invited to a government a kingdom of god and what we are saying tonight you need to start living the kingdom life now and today you belong to the king don't you ever let anybody make you feel small the bible says that you are an ambassador for christ when you see ambassadors walking you are one of them you will represent a kingdom of the living god all the earthly kingdoms shall pass away that we belong to a kingdom that shall never pass away somebody ought to say man we belong to that kingdom the kingdom of the living god we are passed from darkness we are into light you are a child of the living god when you are walking in a street people ought to ask and why do you walk with your head up and why are you smiling and why are you so peaceful tell him tell her that i belong to another kingdom and our god supplies my every need according to his riches tell them that our kingdom does not depend on the things that you possess our life is not about possessions our life is about position in christ jesus god be praised that is who we are and so beloved the bible says that if you believe this that you are in the kingdom of the living god then you ought to walk as he walked you see you belong you are not trying to enter you are ill he who says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in which he walks that is first john 2 6 this is practical you belong to the kingdom you belong to jesus the spirit of the living god is in you so just walk as a walk there is power in him to help you walk as he walked thy word the bible says in psalms 119 verse 105 that the word is allowed to my feet and the light and to my path walking like you walk means that you live by every word that comes out from the mouth of god if you're joining us today for the first time we have already established that this is the constitution of the kingdom of god and in a kingdom it's about the aspirations the desires of the king here in this world it's not about you it's about the king what he desires for you because we belong to the kingdom of god beloved this constitution is not subject to debate it's not subject to human counseling and reasoning this is the word of the king and all who live in his kingdom live by his word his word is a lamp and to our feet is what is a light and to our path this is what this this is what directs our life in the kingdom the white the word of god says for the commandment is a lamb and the law is light and reproves from instructions are the way of life proverbs 6 verse 23 brother this is where we know what to do how to do it when to do it in the kingdom is all inside here we read from the book of hebrews chapter 10 verse 16 to 17 that this is the covenant that i will make with them after those days the lord says he says that i will put my laws in their hearts and in their minds i will write them he adds their sins and their lawless deeds i will remember no more when you enter into the kingdom of god god says i want to have a covenant with you and those who study covenant says this is a unilateral covenant this is god's will this is a testament god's will for you and this is what god is saying when i receive them into my kingdom i will not write my laws the ten commandments i will not write them anymore in a tablet of stone that i will write them in their minds so that they will understand it and it says as you continue to read that no one will tell one another know the lord because they shall all know me and we have said that to know him is eternal life john 17 verse 3 i will write my laws in their minds so that they know and understand but i will also write it in their hearts their heart represents the center of your affections your emotions god says you will not only know it but you will also love it so that they that live in the kingdom of god they understand the will of the father when they pray they say father your will be done they understand if they know it is good but it's also written in the heart they love it they love the law of the living god that's the new covenant that god says he will do and that's the covenant that he made with us on the cross when christ died that covenant was sealed by his own blood and all the promises of god that he made for us were ratified on the cross when jesus gave his life for humanity god jesus loved the law of god he says then i said no i come in the roll of the book it is written of me he did not desire sacrifices god wants his man to live in obedience to his laws jesus came one of the things he came to do is to demonstrate how life is in the kingdom in the kingdom of god is about the law of god i delight to do thy will oh my god thy law is written is within my heart your law is in my heart psalms 44 7 and 8. beloved god wants to write his laws in your mind you understand it and in your heart you love it so that when you are doing your will you are doing the will of god get what i said i want to repeat it when you are living your life you are actually doing the will of god because his law is in your mind and you love it love cannot be forced god wants you to understand this loss god wants you to love his laws so that you do it from a position of love says think not that i've come to abolish the lord jesus said and the prophets no i have come not to abolish but i have come to fulfill the law those are the words of jesus christ and that is very important because when we are living under grace there are people who have taken grace to mean lawlessness it is said that our dl moody a great preacher in the u.s in the last century he found somebody in new york who was drunk and the man was walking and is drunk and the man said dear moody don't you know that i am one of your flocks and dear moody was good with words he said you're surely one of mine but definitely you are not one of god's they are people beloved who take the grace of god for lawlessness that under the grace of god they can do anything we have learned that the grace of god is the very thing that gives us power to walk in godliness for truly i say to you jesus said till heaven and earth pass away not an ayat and not a dot will pass away from the law until all is fulfilled beloved this caused you to to reason if god could not break his law so that jesus had to die on the cross how can he now break his law and let those who are redeemed to live in lawlessness it doesn't make sense it does not make sense at all and that's why god is saying that i am bringing them in but i'm going to write my laws in their minds so that they will know them and in their hearts so that they will love them on this truth that are proclaimed so far all christians worldwide agree where people do not agree is the practicality of it there is not one church in any place on earth that is teaching people to steal not one that is teaching people to commit adultery not one that is telling people to covet we all agree in that although some do allow idols in the churches but beloved we all agree that the law of god is good but there is a forgotten commandment where people are bringing in their reasoning and in the next few minutes i want to dwell on this one the bible says that god gave us the 10 commandments 10 principles 10 laws they are principles that don't change god has said and we have established it from the word of god that the lord changes not malachi 3 verse 6. so his law does not change the constitution of heaven beloved does not change the joy and the beauty of worshiping god is that you are secure when he promises something you can hold on to the promises of god because god cannot come back to you and say that i am sorry i promised you but by the look of things i feel like it will not happen beloved when god promises you you can take the promise of god you can stand on it it shall come to pass because our god cannot lie not only that he does not lie no he cannot lie and it does not change therefore his word changes not heaven and that shall pass away but this word cannot pass away and so the ten commandments remain in that principle is the law of love the ten commandments are you all know them you can read them in exodus chapter 20 verse one are going up to 17. god spoke these words and he spoke to moses one thing i want you to know about the ten commandments is that they were not given to people in slavery when the children of israel were slaves in egypt god did not give them the ten commandments but after saving them and bringing them out of captivity then god gave them the commandments hear what the word of god is teaching commandments are for free people you can never command slaves slaves do the will of their master when you are a slave of sin you cannot obey god god must redeem you fast bring you into his kingdom and then tell you how you live in the kingdom of god does that make sense does it make sense to you he gives us salvation fast then he commands us so the ten commandments is not for those who have not been redeemed they are for those who have been redeemed god said i am the one who brought you out of egypt out of the land of captivity therefore you shall not have any other god besides me i have redeemed you therefore you shall not make an image of anything because you have never seen me i'm the creator of everything don't make me look like anything that you have seen there are four you shall not take the name of the lord in vain don't use my name carelessly i am the living god my name is power my name is full of it it's powerful that's why he gave them the name yahweh and in his former the way it was written the tetra gramophone gramatol it was a name that was not even pronounced the name of god is holy they are afraid they might pronounce it carelessly don't take the name of god in vain and you're living in a world where christians and everybody is taking the name of god in vain we are cursing using the name of god something happens and we hear somebody say g and you think you're smart saying g that's a short form for jesus oh my gosh you know what that means oh my god beloved why do you use the name of god why do you curse using the name of god i've never seen anybody why don't people say oh tree or even whatever you want to say why use the name of god why bring the name of god down to the dust that anything that happens you use the name of god if you are a child of god stop swearing in the name of god don't use the name of god carelessly don't use the name of your father carelessly know the name of your of your mother carelessly god is our father and it does not take it lightly when you use his name carelessly his name stands for his character and you cannot call the character of god in everything that is not right and then he says in the next commandment that you shall remember the sabbath day to keep it holy because i the lord i made heaven and earth and the sea and all that is therein i made them and on the seventh day there it is remember the sabbath day to keep it holy six days you shall labor and do all your work but the seventh day is the sabbath of the lord your god in it you shall do no work neither you nor your son nor your daughter nor your male servant nor you are stranger who is within your gates for in six days the lord god made the heavens and the earth the sea and all that is in them and rested on the seventh day therefore the bible says that the lord blessed the sabbath day and hallowed it a very interesting commandment very controversial among humanity but as i've told you this is the constitution of heaven everything that is written here is right this commandment starts by saying remember the sabbath days it's not starting by saying that you should have a sabbath day no it's not a provision it's not something for you to think about it's not like by the way i think you need to have the sabbath day choose one of the days and rest in it no the scripture says remember you only remember that which has been there before and you need to go back to the book of genesis genesis chapter 1 at the end of it adam has been lonely eve has been provided and when god completed the creation of eve that was the finest of all the creation of god the woman and all the women said amen the finest man was made from the dust of the earth the woman was made from a very fine material called the rib and when she opened our eyes and so father god and god brought them together and performed that fast wedding the next day it was the sabbath that's what the bible says the bible says that then god saw everything that he had made and indeed it was very good indeed it was very good so the evening and the morning was the sixth day notice the order of creation evening morning that's why we who believe the bible when the evening of the sixth day comes today we have started a new day today is a part of the sabbath day when tomorrow comes and the evening closes a day is over you know the world is in darkness and that's why a day in the world starts at midnight can you imagine have you ever thought it over true that a day begins at midnight one minute after midnight a day begins go study in the internet find out how does a day begin in the day at midnight in god's creation when the sun sets the day begins there was evening there was morning and that was the sixth day the following day it was raised the bible says that thus the heavens and the earth and all the host of them were finished and on the seventh day ended god ended his work which he had done and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had done then god blessed the seventh day and sanctified it because it is he because in it he rested from all his work which he had which god had created and made very interesting we can talk about this all day long because it is loaded with meaning it's telling us beloved when you look at this portion of scripture that it is god who brought man god rested but he brought man the first day of man the first full 24 hours that man lived was the sabbath day in other words man starts life with with resting man does not start with working man start with fast resting with god then rising on sunday the first day of the week to start working that is very significant no significant don't brush it off that man rested first and then after resting with god he started walking and then he rest again and then he walks man started from a resting position and when christ came on earth he called man and said come je that are heavy laden and i will give you rest beloved god wants you to rest with him before you can walk rest with god what does that mean when you are resting with god it means that you are finding your strength from god it means that you are already satisfied it means that you are complete it means that you are a member of the family of god it means that you are trusting in the lord you rest fast and indeed when you look at the life of jesus when he came on earth he first finished the walk unrested and restored the sabbath the first thing that jesus did before rising was to rest when his work was finished on the seventh day he rested and then on the first day of the week he rose from the dead and you and i are invited salvation beloved is an invitation to come and rest jesus is not calling us to labor the bible says all things are finished whatever is needed for your salvation is already accomplished in christ first corinthians chapter 1 verse 30 tells us beloved that god has made christ be our wisdom he is our righteousness he is our sanctification he is our redemption and so the invitation to christ is first and foremost to come and rest rest rest the world is suffering because man cannot rest god is calling you to rest slow down stop come to me rest i know your work is not finished i know it is not perfect but in the language of redemption we are resting in the perfect and finished work of christ it's not about you it's about god beloved and that's why god says remember the sabbath day it has always been there from genesis by the way that's why people are fighting genesis chapter one and chapter two they don't like these two chapters because it is in these two chapters of the bible that we find our beginning that we find our identity that we were made to have dominion we were made by god we were made for god and god invited us first and foremost to rest that means come and be intimate with god the sabbath is a time of intimacy with god it's a time of reflection on creation it's a time for reflection on redemption it's a time of fulfillment because it tells you that things may be wrong in your family but you can rest did you notice that that commandment says that in that day or that day neither you nor your wife nor your son nor your daughter not your servant nor a stranger nothing works on the sabbath day the sabbath day brings humanity to equality before god amen it reminds us that god created us equal number two the sabbath day is a day of promise god is promising you you really it's the longest commandment among the ten commandments it is the longest it has more words than any other commandment and the devil is fighting this commandment can i tell you why he's fighting it it is because in this commandment beloved god has provided for your prosperity it's a promise of prosperity the modern prosperity preachers are sometimes just crazy because they don't tell you where it is it is here in the sabbath day this is the promise where god says and god is anticipating you to have servants he says neither you nor your servants god is not crazy you will not talk about your servants if you didn't know that you'd have cattle you'd have gods you'd have all these things the sabbath is a promise it's a fulfillment of what has taken place in the past it defines your life today and it talks about your future let me give you one more voice that some of you may not know isaiah chapter 58. turn with me to isaiah 58 and i want to show you something from the word of the living god i've said something that some people might doubt so i want to take you to the book of isaiah chapter 58 and just show you what the bible is saying about the sabbath day verse 13 the bible says chapter 58 verse 13 i'm reading the new kingdom's version of the bible and it says if you turn away your foot from the sabbath from doing your pleasure on my holy day and call the sabbath a delight the holy day of the lord honorable and shall honor him not doing your own ways not finding your own pleasure not speaking your own words then verse 14 you shall delight yourself in the lord it's a day of forgetting self forgetting yourself problems you see beloved if you can't forget your problems they will kill you if you learn to trust in god you can only have problems for six days on the seventh day forget them and just rejoice in the lord he says then you shall delight yourself in the lord insist on delighting in the lord tell yourself i know i am sick but i'm gonna delight in the lord i know i didn't do a good job this week but i'm gonna delight in the lord i know that there's trouble in my family but i'm going to delight in the lord i know that i am grieving but i'm going to delight in the lord because the lord says on this day just delight in the lord reflect on the goodness of the lord and then the lord says here is the promise and i will cause you i will cause you i like that word god is not saying you will do it for yourself god is saying i will cause you to ride on the high heels of the earth a doctor told me not too long ago when we are having fun preaching and rejoicing a new life church many years ago in city hall we were rejoicing and medical students were coming from the university of nairobi and those who are doing medicine sometimes are in such pressure and one of them to think about to some of them gave in they said we are not god we we cannot cope if we stop reading our books on friday and on sabbath they started doing that guess what those who rested and waited upon the lord and kept on resting and faithful to god i met one not too long ago and it's a neurosci in one of our hospitals right now and he told me that all of them who refused to listen to the ages of their own flesh and decided to rest and obey god they are all successful but those who refused never made it quite well like this other one god has promised and god says then you shall delight yourself in the lord and i god himself will cause you to ride on the high heels of the earth and feed you with the heritage of jacob your father these are the promises of god and that's why he says remember the sabbath day it is the seventh day of the week and you don't have to struggle which day is the seventh day i'm not gonna go into that because that is very simple just go back in your bible and you'll find that jesus died on friday he rested on the sabbath and he rose on the first day of the week which is sunday and so what you need in the world today is either you want to believe god and rest on the sabbath or believe darwin who says that you came from a monkey if you come from monkey you don't have a sabbath monkeys don't rest i have them in the forest in the home where i stay they never really rest they have to struggle all day long child of god you are not meant to struggle god says come and rest so that's the heavens and the earth were made you believe in creation when we rest today we are testifying that we believe in creation we believe that god made this world god sanctified the sabbath god himself rested and therefore god is calling us you and me to imitate him and rest even as he rested i want to say a few more things about the sabbath day today before i close ah the bible says that nobody in your family should work on this day now because of the pressures of life we have some things that must be done on the sabbath day and jesus himself made that provision when he said that when your cow falls in the ditch on the sabbath day please pull it out because the sabbath was made for man not man for the sabbath it's a day of rest but it's not a punishment and so don't plan for your cow to fall in the ditch so that you go and get it out on the sabbath day needed to say that to somebody in six days the lord made the heavens and the earth so it's about creation the lord blessed the lord sanctified and the lord commanded this is all god's work and so when you come to redemption we are told in the book of revelation chapter 14 verse 6 and 7 that we are reading when there is the everlasting gospel going forth the message is fear god give him glory and worship him when you come to worship god beloved worship the one who made the springs of water you do not dictate how you worship god god calls you to worship but you must worship him his way you worship god every day but on the sabbath day you rest according to the commandments of god of all those ten commandments of god the one that you need today not that you should ignore others you need to rest god says you rest even physically every day get eight hours of sleep in these times of coverage 19 you need to go back to god's principles of life and one of those principles of life is rest now god knew that without putting it as a command human beings will not rest so god has put rest in his commandment he commands us to rest beloved this is a commandment of the living god what will you do with what god commands it's not a commandment that is given to those who do not belong to god but the bible says that all who joins themselves to the worship of god even the strangest when you come into the house of god he says remember the sabbath day to keep it holy in other words set it apart for the worship of god set the sabbath apart how do you do that when the day begins the life of a child of god revolves around the sabbath when sunday comes when the first day of the week starts you start remembering that you are resting in christ salvation is not for the sabbath day only salvation is a lifestyle living in the kingdom of god beloved starts every day of your life and so from sunday you start resting in the lord monday you rest in the lord tuesday you rest in the lord what do i mean you give your heart to jesus as he says come unto me only that labor and i will give you rest god does not want you to be anxious in philippians chapter 4 verse 6 he says be anxious for nothing nothing pain in your life don't be anxious death in the family don't be anxious you have no job don't be anxious it is a command god is commanding you don't be anxious so rest in him jesus says whatever burdens you are carrying stop calling heavy burdens rest in him on wednesday rest in him on thursday rest in him on friday rest in him on the sabbath day stop and just enjoy his worship you see if you have not been walking with the lord from sunday on monday and tuesday and wednesday and thursday and friday you will not be able to stop and rest on the sabbath day when you have been carrying burdens all day long burdens all week long you are like a heavy loaded tractor and then you move suddenly to a stop beloved you will not be able to stop suddenly you must rest in christ you must receive him as your personal savior you must give him all your problems you must rest in his word all day long every day of the week and then on the sabbath day is a celebration celebration it's a family day it's a day when we just delight in the lord this time of reflection of the goodness of the lord it's time of reflection of the hope that is within us that soon and very soon christ will come and we shall enter into eternal rest in the land where there will never be any labor any sweat any separation any pain any death nothing that offends will be there every time we rest on the sabbath it's a promise with which we remember the past but we also focus on the future and it is written in the book of isaiah when he comes from sabbath to sabbath we shall worship the lord in that land where there will be no death again that's why god left the sabbath day as a gift for humanity to remain with us until he comes and if you are a child of god you have given your life to jesus christ he is inviting you also to rest on the sabbath day there is no any other day of rest in the bible except the sabbath day he says work for six days work is blessed whatever you are doing it is blessed even if you are cleaning the toilets that work is blessed if you are a watchman that work is blessed when i was doing my my post-graduate studies i was a watchman and i would dress and open the gates for people because in the bible we know that work is blessed i also can't grasp that is blessed whatever you are doing your work is blessed do it for six days but on the sabbath day god says come my child let us rest because i will provide for you in all our working we know that it's the lord who provides for us i want to invite you if you have never rested on the sabbath if you have never kept the sabbath day holy and you have entered into the kingdom of god let this be your first day of resting just rest man just wake up and tell your wife today no work i'm resting with your family come to church worship the lord he will renew your mind and then when sunday begins you will start again this is the biblical order for all christians this is not for seventh day adventist this is for every child of god is taking imagine on your time and giving it to god it's a seventh of your time that is dedicated for god alone may the lord bless you as you enjoy your first sabbath with the lord and if you made up your mind you have seen it in scripture then give yourself to the lord let me know that you made up your mind to start resting on the sabbath day because god has commanded it god can only command you after he has saved you may god bless you in jesus name amen let us pray again heavenly father we have just scratched a little about this glorious promise the sabbath day who turns to you prayer for all people this about their lord who said if you love me keep my commandments may they find it in their hearts that the commandments of god are not tough rest is never tough [Music] and you have invited us and tonight we have invited people everywhere worldwide wherever they're tuning in or listening to realize that it's not about a denomination it's about the constitution of heaven my father call your people from everywhere in this restless world bring your people to you to rest to realize that they belong to you to the kingdom where you are promised come unto me only that labor and i will give you rest thank you so much father there's some tonight who need rest from that pain in their lives in their heart somebody needs rest oh lord from that pain that has bothered us for so long i pray give them rest somebody needs rest my father from that trouble that has been in their home for so long i don't know them but father you know them grant them rest tonight let your people learn to rest i know that we suffer god was promised saying i will never leave you nor forsake you may this sabbath be glorious worldwide for as many people as believe in lady said you don't understand god provided for my things but he made the devil pay for them actually that was wonderful and we are coming to an end of the day but before we come to the end of the day constitution as christians like in kenya we have the constitution and they normally say the law is clear and all that even us as christians we now know we have the bible and the bible is our
