having a series of very interesting points and we are learning about facing life in tough times in tough times there are so many challenges so we need to know how to face life in tough times and now today we have a very interesting topic a very exciting topic about it is written the word of god and as we start we are going to have a very good poem a wonderful poem that you cannot afford to miss just sit there and listen so i'm inviting yabikai secondary school for a poem entitled facing tough times caribou ladies and gentlemen on stage adventist secondary school ready to present a point entitled facing tough times yes facing tough times sit back relax and enjoy yourselves the wild is full of challenges where life is filled with ups and downs the world is full of worries the world is full of sorrows when there is no money or finances at low when children are troublesome when marriage just seems not to work when that seems to be the order of the day when panelists seem to be ravaging the whole world and many more life challenges where do we seek help from to face tough times in life we need to put god first we need to read the word of god we need to pray and fast we need to surrender our lives to jesus christ creation wow i've got a good secret that we need to surrender our lives to jesus we need to have the word of god and we need to do something else what are you supposed to do to pray and fast now sit again and listen to this summon we are going to have a powerful our powerful child preacher don't miss this summon so i'm welcoming my friend lavena achieng to come and present the word of god and listen today we are we are doing it is written so lavena is going to tell us how was jesus successful in fighting the devil through temptation lavenna welcome thank you god is good all the time god is good and that is nature our summon of today comes from the book of luke chapter 4 verse 1 it says and jesus full of the holy spirit returned from the jordan and was led by the holy spirit for 40 days in the wilderness verse 3 it says the devil said to him if you are the son of god command these stones to become bread and jesus answered it it is written remember the topic is it is written here you find jesus answering satan it is written man shall not live by bread alone and the devil took him and showed him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time and said to him to you i will give all this authority and their glory for it is it has been delivered to me and i give to whom i will if you then will worship me it shall be all yours and jesus answered him it is written you shall worship the lord your god and him only shall you serve we find here jesus is being tempted by satan but he is overcoming the saturn of the word it is written here we find he is answering satan that it is written you shall worship the lord your god and him only shall you serve as we christians we are find out we are finding ourselves in many tough situations but we should overcome the temptation by the only word it is written we should worship be prayerful and we should be having faith so that we can have power to overcome this attack when he tries to to tempt us in the book of james chapter 1 verse 2 12 it says blessed is the man who endures trial for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life which god has promised to those who love him it means here if we will be if we will stood the test and god will give us the crown of which the crown which he promised to those who love him we are christian and we are young generation saturn has power to overcome us but if you have faith and prayerful we will overcome the saturn we will be victorious at the end let's pray be faithful and have power that god jesus gave us so that we can overcome the saturn may the verse be blessed amen hallelujah amen so there is a secret it is written by the word of god we are able to overcome by the word of god we are able to win temptation now children we are going to have a very exciting activity to help us have the bible in us the bible the word of god can help you in time of trouble so that you're able to distinguish right and wrong and i tell you a secret when the day when jesus was tempted by the devil the devil didn't come like a snake like a black thing and he came like an angel of light it was not easy to know if this is not in fact jesus thought my health has come and he was like enthusiastic now to see jesus i mean to see help from above only by the word of the devil that if you are the son of god jesus knew oh this person is doubting that i'm the son of god and he immediately knew that this is not the this is not an angel from god then he said it is written dear friend we can also overcome by reading the word sometimes it is very hard to know that this is a temptation but by the word of god we are able to distinguish and know the right thing maybe someone can come even with a very good introduction you know the devil introduced himself as the light and as an angel who helped even abraham when he was picking up his knife to pierce the sun and he was not he was lying he is not the devil he is not a light from above therefore the dear child we can overcome by this word now we are going to make something very interesting we are going to make bibles bible keepsake these bibles are going to help us get our verses in time of need when you are tempted you know where to go to now dear friends let's have our bibles we want to make a bible we will staple them and we will stick them together so that when we are tempted we will know how to use our verses in time of need and in the right way now i'm going to give you stepless so that we get and start doing it and do the work so that we can any other god before we are supposed to trust in god and god alone it is god who can help us when things are tough what should we say we say that we should pray and give our problems to jesus he's able there's nothing too hard for him and what about this i feel i hate salome every time she comes to me with her shaggy hair and she doesn't look nice i think i don't need high my life can the bible help me yes yes in the book of romans 12 10 romans 12 10 says love one another with brotherly affection love one another with black brotherly affliction everybody is precious in the sight of god we should love each other because jesus himself says he is love god is love and he loves us with an everlasting love and he doesn't he doesn't he's not a respecter of persons so we should love each other the dear viewer dear child at home i hope you're getting something when we are tempted when you think you when you you are tempted to do something wrong remember the word of god the bible has everything is a full path text book again we are going to continue hey i think i should enjoy life enjoy life go to discourse and do everything because i'm young and beautiful i don't think i need to go to this boring thing the christian thing does the bible have anything to help me in that yes yes naomi it is written in ecclesiastes 11 verse 9 that rejoice all young men in your youth and let your heart share you in the days of your youth walk in the ways of your heart and the sight of your eyes but note that for all these things god will bring you into judgment oh i should enjoy but i should know that after everything hey my everything will come into judgment i'll be judged so i should be careful therefore i should keep the word of god with me so that i don't go away and i don't stray and by the way in the word of god you will never miss anything and you will also enjoy life and at the same time you will be blessed did you like that yes never miss your bible have it in your mind and it stories and i'm gonna share with you a very interesting story of how the word of god can help you it is a weapon on a soldier's arm it is a weapon that you cannot miss to have the bible is so precious don't miss it have it in your heart now jane had just joined a a new school and the friends came in to welcome her welcome welcome she she felt like a sweet princess but then john came in privately and told jen i have something nice for you and guess what john had something and it was a biscuit but the teacher had said don't eat anything outside the school and jane was like where did you get it from then john said ah i got it from home it's so yummy can we eat and john started eating i said jen said you know she remembered one verse do you have one verse that you remember every time you want to do something jen remembered this first peter 2 verse 9 that i am a chosen you are a chosen generation you are a mighty army of the lord you are to to present them the wonderful masses of the living god you've been counted out of great darkness to great light to show the goodness of the lord and now john said no if i eat this have i done what god wants me to do have i shown the masses of god am i going am i a royal priest when i'm eating something and the teacher said we should not eat ah she said no i'll not do it can you do that can you say no you know jesus was tempted on appetite i don't know what you are tempted in but i tell you if you are able to conquer your appetite you can't conquer any other sin now jane said no then jones told her you know you are a full you don't know sweet things and you are going to regret and john went to alice and alice was like hey it's yummy kill me and she ate not knowing that those biscuits had marijuana yes and she started liking them day in day out because every moment she ate alice ate she became like and she started laughing anyhow and she didn't know what is happening inside her and every day she was like please give me and if when she doesn't take it she has headache and so she realized before it's too long oh she was already a drug addict yes oh yes it's so bad and people didn't know it she knew how to pretend she was so good to the teachers of the other children and she looked so wonderful and within no time because they were hiding and doing bad things including having sex imagine she realized she was pregnant and when she was pregnant is when the teachers were like oh what have you been doing what is it where did you get this and she was very sorry but now she's pregnant she sent home to go and give birth to a baby and she was only 14 you can imagine a mother of fourteen and she could watch other children playing and she feels like she wants to go and play yet she is pregnant it was so bad what if she never tasted that one biscuit yes yeah she could not have gone to those depths now what other lessons do we learn from the story yes we should hear what our elders told oh yes we should listen and obey and know what our elders are telling us another one stealing is a bad habit stealing is a bad habit never do it yes you should not set somebody's thing without permission we should not be taking things that don't belong to us without permission beautiful that's so good any other we should always get assertive and say no to everything that is bad oh yes learn to say no don't just accept everything learn to say no to what you think is not right or what the word says no for we've been having a very exciting program and thank you for that for listening to that story it has been a wonderful story i hope you learned the lessons the first lesson is that we should use the bible in every temptation every time you tried try to use the bible as your your standard say no when it is no say yes when it is yes remember this girl was able to be successful jane was successful in her temptation only because she said no it is written thou shall not do that shall not disobey your parents she remembered that and she saved her life you can save your life too by saying no again we should be committed to our lord and god as the savior of our lives if you walk with jesus be sure success is yours you'll go too far and far away and we will reach heaven only if we walk with the lord again we should learn how to pray sometimes we are not wise enough we need help from above our heavenly father is ready to help us to walk with us to support us and help us understand the scripture if we pray to him he is faithful he'll give us the strength that we need he'll give us the understanding and the wisdom so dear begin to engage in warfare until you see victory coming from the hand of the lord why the seeming delay allow me to look chapter 12 verse 32 luke 12 32 christ is speaking and saying do not fear little flock for it is your father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom so he's saying children of god don't fear anything even god in heaven is pleased to give us the kingdom elsewhere [Music] when paul describes the kingdom paul says for the kingdom of god is not what we eat or drink but righteousness peace and joy that is what we are looking for that is what god wants to give us and he's so pleased that all his children will align their lives in harmony with his will that is what righteousness is all about he is so pleased that we will have peace in our hearts regardless of the tough times that we are going through because peace is not the absence of war it is not the absence of tough times peace is the presence of christ in the battlefield it's raging hard but you're immovable it's raging hard you're not panicking you're smiling it's raging hard everyone is asking how is she managing a peace that surpasses all understanding and joy happiness is informed by external realities i am happy my husband has brought me flowers that is if we are in the u.s in africa those things don't work flowers me i don't think they move me i doubt if he's ever brought home flowers i doubt maybe he knows in in africa you want a superior big one you know when he brings that item home i'm happy i mean it's informed by external realities there is no suffering i am not happy but joy is informed by internal realization of who god is and what he's able to do so it can be so tough but deep inside i rejoice because i know who god is and what he's able to do so god is saying these are the things he's pleased to give to his children righteousness peace and joy but elsewhere again [Music] in matthew 11 12 there seems to be a contradiction matthew 11 12 this same kingdom that god wants to give us there seems to be a contradiction when you read matthew 11 verse 12 the bible says and from the days of john the baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence and the violent take it by force so god wants to give us this kingdom but you need to understand it's engaged in violence it is not a physical violence it's a violence of devotion and only those that are violent can take it what are we saying it is not sound on a silver plate you must go for it you must fight for it doesn't come just like that so you want a happy marriage it does not come you have to fight for it you want good children they are not just born they are made and you make them nothing comes by chance you must walk for it and only those that are violent aggressive will get it so if you fear war forget about it forget if a simple sms message scares you honey how are you from another woman forget about it forget that alone is enough for you to cause a star in the house two months you're not eating god wants to give you but it doesn't just come like that there must be some devotion you must be aggressive that you really want it so when you have engaged in the battle for too long and there seems to be a delay friends the delay can take forever i'm not lying to you for some people three years some people too some people months some people ten years twins i'm not scared to say i'm here with my husband he'll tell you last sabbath was his fourth in 17 years 17 good years last sabbath was his fourth service so we are moving to the fifth one our victory is as fresh as less than two months so we are not talking theory we are talking about a battle we have gone through and god has given us victory so i'm encouraging someone he will do it for you he will stop battling with outside us focus when someone takes your wife when someone takes your husband they are not going anywhere the lord will not permit them when you panic they go when you stand from look at god nothing happens i was telling someone if you know this is your husband legally married to you why do you fight like a mistress it is a vehicle that is not headed anywhere it's like taking a v8 and putting petrol for one hundred it cannot even say tanging it [Applause] these guys are just going here they'll come back daniel so you just sit comfortable watch allow god fight that battle for you praise the lord daniel 10 my time is moving so fast daniel is in a similar situation seeking the face of god no answer is coming i will read the whole of daniel 10. in the study of cyrus king of pashia a message was revealed to daniel whose name was called belte chaser the message was true but the appointed time was long and he understood the message and had understanding of the vision in those days i daniel was mourning three full weeks how many days are those 21 days he was money i ate no pleasant food no meat or wine came into my mouth nor did i anoint myself at all till three whole weeks were fulfilled what was daniel doing did daniel fast talk back don't bother me before i bore you okay how many days did he first and even what we have just read how many days were the was the first 21 days when was his prayer had on which day day one are you listening he was on a 21 day first but the prayer was hard day one let me tell you something the fact that you keep on telling god the same thing does not mean he has not had he had it right from the world so why the delay is what we ask [Applause] verstatin says by the prince of the kingdom of pashia withstood me 21 days and behold michael one of the chief princes came to help me for i had been left alone there with the kings of pashia so he says they want godhard and he sent the messenger but the messenger could not reach why there was a war in the realm of the spirits how many days 21 there is a principality a territorial demon assigned within the territory of parsia whatever he calls it it says this one is the one that has withstood me 21 days i couldn't come there is war going on in the spirit world ellen white says if only god could open our eyes to see the battle that goes on in the spirit world for you it's like two armies fighting and you're saying is taking forever you think the devil will just sit and watch you being blessed no and the war is as real as physical warfare i've told you it can take years now i have come to make you understand what will happen this bit scares me if there is war in the spirit reel and now he has come but you'll be surprised that the war is still on say now i have come to make you understand what will happen to your people in the latter days for the vision refers to many days yet to come when he had spoken such words to me i turned my face toward the ground and became speechless and suddenly one having the likeness of the sons of men touched my lips then i opened my mouth and spoke saying to him who stood before me my lord because of the vision my sorrows have overwhelmed me and i have retained no strength for how can this servant of my lord talk with me my lord as for me no strength remains in me now now is any breath left in me then again the one having the likeness of a man touched me and strengthened me and he said oh man greatly beloved fear not peace be to you be strong yes be strong and i'm telling someone be strong this is no battle for cowards and here we don't fight to get through we fight to win and there's no issues about it so when he spoke to me i was strengthened and said let my lord speak for you have strengthened me listen to verse 20. then he said the lord is saying when you pray believe you have received because i heard your prayer from the word they won and did you know the bigger your trouble the bigger you are reward did you know it did you know it the bigger your challenge the bigger you are reward the longer it takes it simply tells you the battle is not small it is so big but there's one thing else one other thing i want you to know is that the war between god and saturn is not a war where the devil throws and the god throws no because god has no equal god is the creator the devil is a word a creature they cannot compete on the same level never so it's not a war where the devil throws and god says oh you've brought a big one i'm bringing a bigger one and the lord no it is a world where god permits him to exhaust his wives all of them so if the button is still on in your life just know understand the devil has not exhausted his wiles once he exhausts them and looks around and checks and sees that there is no other thing to use the child of god has a faith so great that i cannot push her around then the lord steps into the picture god does not need one day god doesn't need two hours he does only 30 minutes i don't know why you keep saying that god delays god does not need time to change things in your life he only needs to show up and things turn around that is what he needs for as long as he has not shown up he has permitted the devil to finish what he has so i've learned myself to talk to the dev until a man i know you still have more in store finish them because once you're done my god is going to step in the picture and when he steps into the picture justice his presence alone dispels darkness and us so grow to the point i'm almost preaching tomorrow someone i want you to grow to the point that even when it rages so hard just understand it is the devil's tree running the show he has an end he has a place the lord will not permit him to go beyond job says just like water in the sea they come up to some point and they can never overflow they have a boundary the devil has a limit to what he can do in your life hallelujah he has a limit and when that limit reaches it is time for god to show and the lord gave you victory you don't need to be ashamed of anything there's a way the lord takes that which is broken messed up and is able to create beauty out of it that which was a cast he can awesome for this family something that will will bring glory and change their destiny father you are a destiny changer you are the waymaker lord you are god all by yourself you do awesome things you've never moved from your throne and like this songwriter says even when we don't feel it lord you are working you have never stopped working release your healing power your restorative power who you are thank you father in jesus name we pray amen tonight i'm going to request you to do for me one favor it's a simple one but it's not one of the easiest i'm gonna ask you to spend your time thinking with me i want you to think tonight thinking is not easy but the bible says come let us reason together we are going to talk about the good news of the judgments now to begin with let me take you to the book of revelation chapter 14. tonight we're going to be deliberately slow so that you can think along with me this is one subject that we cannot rush because it requires thinking i'm going to talk about the good news of the judgments the coming judgments the judgment for the believers now if you go back to what we studied yesterday we talked about the sanctuary ministry and we landed on jesus christ the the the high priest who is seated on his throne in heaven as a high priest is seated we saw the difference you know the theme of the book of hebrews is that christ is better everything about christ is better the his priesthood is better it lasts forever the sanctuary where he's ministering is better it's a heavenly one the covenant that he has brought is better in this covenant the law is written in our minds and in our hearts all about christ is better it is positive you cannot compare with the earthly ministry which was just a mortal plan of salvation but christ is the reality and so we saw the christ earthly ministry where the lambs were slain christ is the real name of god slain on calvary but then after his resurrection whereas the lamb was laying and the blood was being taken to the sanctuary the holy place and the most holy place for those who are with us we saw that when christ rose from the dead he did not carry literal blood into his hands because blood resents a life he took his own life it is his life that is presenting before god for you and me that was a glorious message so what the daily sacrifice that was on earth and the yearly sacrifice that took place on the day of atonement both are included in the ministry of christ so after dying himself the lamb he is now in the presence of god himself the high priest is seated and we discover that he is interceding for us so if that is true that christ has already died he is reasoned and seated what about the judgment will the saints be judged again after what god has done for us in christ jesus we also so beloved that the entire plan of redemption the sanctuary message is all about the cross of christ what christ is ministering is all about his clothes so i want to read a passage here and i want you to think along with me john chapter revelation chapter 14 verse 6 and 7 says then i saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth to every nation tribe tongue and people this message goes to everybody everywhere because it is the everlasting gospel god the eternal good news it's good news about the character of god that has never changed from eternity past to eternity future the character of god will never change the ten commandments the law of god is nothing but the reflection of the character of god of who god is is the transcript of his character now those of you who have transcripts you know that if you have a transcript you have ever been to school and you are given a transcript if you lose that paper you can still go back to your school and get one from there because what you have is just a copy of what is stored in your university so when you are talking about the law of god being a transcript of his character beloved god himself is the reality that's why the law of god cannot change because the law of god is like god himself it's eternal it's holy so you can never change the law of god it's a reflection of who he is that's why if you're going to a church that degrades that belief law or any one of god's commandments you are a place i'm going to say that again if you are going to worship in a place where the law of god is not declared my brother my sister you are in the wrong place because heaven and earth shall pass away that the law of god the word of god will never pass away it's the reason jesus went to calvary and died for us because the law could not be broken now that christ has paid for it and when he died he said father forgive them and we were forgiven and you believe the gospel is there any more judgment then you read a verse like this this is why people say they don't understand revelation listen to this he says this is the everlasting gospel but then what is the gospel is saying fear god and give glory to him for the hour of his judgment has come and worship him who made heaven and earth the sea and the springs of water fear god give him glory for what because the hour of his judgment has come and worshiped so when we are talking about everlasting gospel we must also talk about the judgment but will the saints be judged now that you have believed and have told you we have crossed from the kingdom of darkness we are in the kingdom of god of light we are citizens already what is the judgment all about many people are confused in this and that's why i'm taking my time today to explain to you from the scriptures what the bible is teaching about the judgment of the saints and what it is all about so get ready for the text that you're going to look at from now onwards number one the judgment is good news it's not calling us to fear you must not fear the judgment and by the end of my presentation i hope you will be rejoicing with me that you should not fear the judgment we will be charged but there is no fear the bible says in first john chapter 4 17 herein is love made perfect that we may have boldness in the day of judgment because as it is so are we the bible is teaching us that we should have boldness in the day of judgment in other words the judgment is coming but fear not it is not something to cause you to fear when you look at the judgment that is coming you should be bold you should be courageous that judgment is coming first john chapter 4 verse 18 says there is no fear in love but perfect love casts out fear because fear has stomach heal that fear it has it's not made perfect in love i'm still just dealing with that there must not be fear in you now this is in the context of romans chapter 5 and verse 5 that says that hope does not disappoint us because god's love has been poured into our hearts and if you love there is no fear in love just like the next text says it says that we love him because he past loved us so this is the first context of the believer the believer if you are believed in christ you love god and there is no fear in love number two you love god not of yourself but when we come to the cross of christ and we see what christ has done for us he said when i'm lifted up and you see who i am that i your god who made you i have stretched forth my hands to save you to redeem you and i'm doing it unconditionally you can come and worship me you can come and worship the father you can be restored to me or you can choose not to but as for me i love you enough to die for you remove your sins and bring restoration to you and give you hope when we see jesus lifted up he said i will draw god is love and is drawing us to himself with the chords of love we come to him with the cults of love he has drawn us it reminds me of this brother he's a great preacher he saw a girl that he thought this is the one i'm going to marry he came to the lady and said i i like you i i'd like to marry you it was very straightforward and the lady said you are too late someone came before you and as a matter of fact they have already paid the dowry my friend just went back and wrote a letter two pages talking about how he loves this woman the lady responded back and said which part of no don't you understand i said no somebody has paid the dowry he went back and wrote four pages this time by the time you wrote eight pages the lady told those other guys come and collect your animals i have changed my mind and is still the wife of my friend because of love we love him because he fast loved us god is throwing us with the chords of love and so when we look at the judgment the bible is saying there is no fear in love it's all about love beloved this is what removes fear from the from the promises of god there is no fear in love okay so more than any other doctrine it is this teaching about the judgment that produces so much fear and insecurity in many believers you commit sin and then the devil tells you give up you hear that son so was a christian today he or she has backslidden why do people backslide is because the devil is telling you that you will never make it the devil is telling you that you are a hypocrite the devil is telling you that your sin cannot be forgiven the devil is constantly misrepresenting god and that's why i'm here today to tell you that the message of judgment is actually good news now how does the devil succeed in confusing people about the judgment it is because many christians believe that their works will ultimately decide where they go whether to hell or to heaven will depend on their works and the many churches which are teaching that it will be your works and as you look at your work number one your work is never perfect number two your work is never finished number three even if you are to do the best of your works beloved you are still born a sinner what will you do with your nature so beloved as far as your works and my work is concerned you have no hope you will never be able to do enough to justify yourself the bible says that our righteousness righteousness that come from our own works is like filthy rugs before god and so beloved the work of jesus christ in the most holy place today as he is interceding for us there is a judgment that is going on that it is good news for the believers it is not bad news so the first thing that you need to understand are what we call the objective facts of the judgment the reality of that judgment what does it involve point number one that you will go with tonight is that to correctly understand the doctrine of the believer's judgment we must begin with the objective facts of the gospel and as far as the bible is concerned beloved the truth about the gospel is that [Music] you and i depends on the humanity that we belong to our eternal destiny depends on which humanity you choose to belong to whether in adam where we stand condemned to death our natural inheritance from birth or in christ where the bible says all of us who are in christ jesus have been justified by god if you are in christ jesus the bible says there is now no condemnation to those who are in christ jesus and this is where the problem comes my brother and my sister if you go to first john chapter 5 verse 24 the bible says that those who are in christ have already passed from death they are already into life and so when you look at these facts then you look at the judgment then you get confused did you say there is no condemnation so if there is no condemnation then what is this judgment all about stay with me a little longer because i'm going to show you what this judgment is all about the problem comes when we read verses like romans chapter 14 verse 10 we share i want to read before you what romans chapter 14 verse 10 says but romans chapter 14 and verse 10 and let's read it together it says this mine is new new king james version of the bible says but why do you judge your brother or why do you show contempt for your brother for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of christ now notice what the bible has already said that there is no condemnation that we shall not come into judgment we have passed from death we are already into life so you ask yourself this past is saying that we have already passed from death we are in life we shall not come to the judgment how about this one which now says all of us must come before the judgment seat of christ what's happening here why shall we then stand before the judgment seat of christ if we have already passed from death and to life take a look at this second one second corinthians chapter 5 and verse 10 he says for we must all appear before the judgment seat of christ that every one of us every one of us may receive the things done in his body or her body whether they be good or bad now these passages are telling us clearly that all of us now who is all of us here this book was written to believers christians so he's saying that christians will appear before the judgment seat of christ and each one of us shall be judged according to what we have done in our bodies whether it is good or bad and then this past is saying that we have already passed from judgment we are into life so i say which one should we believe and so there are people who are believed are the ones that says there is no condemnation and so they just walk around and doing whatever they like because there is no condemnation they forget that the same bible the same person who wrote romans in paul who wrote romans also wrote corinthians and in romans is talking about something else our union in christ our position in christ is a position of no condemnation because of who christ is but then he's talking about we shall all appear here he's talking about our subjective christian experience and he's saying we shall all appear now if the bible is saying that we shall all appear before the judgment seat of christ this is where i am soliciting your thinking and this is where why i am going slow about this if this is true then what is the purpose of the judgment why will we come into judgment how does it work for the believer because the same bible is saying that when christ comes the dead in christ shall rise incorruptible and we who are alive shall be caught up with him in the air and then we shall forever be with the lord so if the dead shall rise incorruptible and those who are alive when christ comes shall be caught up with him in the air then when are they judged is that a logical question i told you to think is it logical when will they be judged brother it follows therefore that since those who will be in heaven will have already been found worthy then their judgment must take place before christ comes and that is what we call the pre-advent judgment advent means the coming of christ so there is a judgment that takes place before christ comes that judgment is the judgment of the believers and the bible says fear god and give him glory because the hour of his judgment has come the message in revelation is actually telling us that as we live now beloved this is the hour of god's judgment the believers are being judged now and this is good news beloved by the time christ is coming the judgment of the believers will have been over done with he appears we hear the sound we are transformed the dead rise because while we are living we are being judged beloved is jesus himself who said when he comes again in this judgment he will separate the goats and the sheep the sheep is the ones that are rising in the first resurrection the gods will be raised later because they are complainers he will tell those on the left the gods that away from me ye workers of iniquity because of abc you saw me i was in the hospital you didn't visit me i was sick you didn't pray for me i was hungry you didn't feed me you heard that 14 of us had no job you had a company you could have employed us all you did not even give us a job and they say but when did i see you jesus never seen you before he said as much as you didn't do it to any of these little ones you did not do it unto me and then he tells the people on the right welcome you into my father's house because you saw me in the hospital you visited me in prison you came you had the news that i had no job you offered me a job you did abcd for me and said lord when did we hear you when did we see you when did you give you water to drink and he says as much as you did it mark those words you did it to these little ones in other words there is a place of good works in the life of the christian believer amen and it's christ who is speaking and is saying those things so the purpose of the judgment is to vindicate the believers against the accusations of satan remember the bible says when you believe there is no condemnation but the devil will turn with me to the book of revelation revelations again uh revelation chapter 12 and let's go to to revelation 12 and verse 10 revelations chapter 12 the last book of the bible the book of revelation chapter 12 we are reading verse 10 this is after that voice gone on the bible said then i heard a loud voice in heaven saying in heaven now salvation and strength and the kingdom of our god and the power of his christ have come for the accuser of our brethren who accused them before our god day and night has been cast out this is the purpose of this judgment beloved all your lifetime the devil is accusing you whenever you do anything wrong the devil is there to accuse you you're not good enough you lied you did this you did that and the devil is constantly accusing the children of god what he wants is for you to give up you have done this there are some of you here if i had time to give you to confess you say that there is some sin you have confessed before and you are still confessing it again every time that ever reminds you of that sin you feel that you are not forgiven you confess it again and again and again and i ask when will you ever believe that god has forgiven you beloved the purpose of the pre-advent judgment is to vindicate the children of god uh let's look at that how does christ vindicate the believer we need to know that how does he do it the bible says on one hand it declares salvation is a gift experience by all who believe in god if you read roman chapter i mean ephesians 2 verse 8 the bible says clearly that salvation is by grace through faith alone it is not of works that anybody should boast but that's up to verse 9 and if you stop there that it is by grace alone you go to romans chapter 3 and verse 28 it also says we are saved by grace without works so how is it again that you bring words look at titus chapter 3 verse 5 that's the one i want to read with you go to titus and before we end we will harmonize these verses for you and you will never be the same again you start living with courage you start facing life with hope you start knowing that no matter what the devil does he will never be able to bring you down once you understand the good news of the judgment so just stay with me a little longer these verses are very very important to your freedom in christ and walking with courage in these tough days the bible says in titus 3 verse 5 not by works let's start from verse 4 for context but when the kindness in fact go back a little a little more verse 3 says for we ourselves christians we ourselves were also once foolish that's confession for christians once foolish disobedient deceived soviet various lusts and pleasures leaving one another and envy hateful and hating one another but the odd man appeared thank god for these parts in the bible he says but when the kindness and the love of god our savior to what man appeared not by works of righteousness which we have done but according to his mercy he saved us through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the holy spirit beloved this is what the bible is saying we were living in darkness we were idolaters we did terrible things beloved but the kindness of god appeared the grace of god appeared and he saved us all his stance past tense not she will save us but he saved us let me give you another one go to first corinthians chapter six it's important to read these things so that you may worship god with gratitude it says in first corinthians chapter 6 and verse 9 do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of god do not be deceived neither fornicators nor idolaters nor adulterers no homosexuals no sodomites no thieves no conventions no drunk cards no revilers nor extortionists will inherit the kingdom of god i don't know who is left out but then you come to verse 11 and this is the good news and such was some of you but you are washed hallelujah but you are sanctified praise god but you are justified in the name of the lord jesus and by the spirit of our god somebody ought to praise the lord when you look at what we are and what we now are because of what god has done you begin to rejoice beloved we were washed it doesn't matter what you want and the bible says we were it's all in the past so how do you tie that with judgment let's read a little so that is that's one series of texts then you read the bible father and you get these passages number two on the other hand the new testament clearly said that the believers will be judged and rewarded according to their works you go back to that same ephesians 2 that you read that said that we are saved by grace through faith it's not of works go back there and just verse 10 of the same chapter and the bible now says for we are his workmanship created in christ jesus for good works which god prepared beforehand that we should live in them did you get that one yes we were saved by grace but we were saved for good works we were not safe to continue in unrighteousness we were found in unrighteousness the salvation of jesus christ lift us off from unrighteousness we get washed we are translated we are brought over into the kingdom of god and now that we are in the kingdom of god beloved we are saved for good works we must continue in good works because it is our good works beloved that shows that we are grateful to what god has done for us so the solution to this seeming contradiction beloved is to consider a third group of texts that harmonizes the two groups of texts that we have read already so this is the conclusion that we come to beloved the same titles chapter 3 where we read verse 5 and telling us that it is mercy that saved us go to that same title as beloved go to it again read it again this is why i said i need you to think beloved because if you stop thinking the bible if you stop thinking the devil will confuse you never read things out of context do not read and end not by works of righteousness which you have which we have done but according to his mercy he saved us that is the reality of what god has done for us yes we have been brought into the kingdom of god we have crossed over from where we were we have been brought on this side we are in god's kingdom but then he says in verse 8 this is a faithful thing and these things i want you to affirm constantly that those who have believed in god should be careful to maintain good works these things are good and profitable to men we are saved from unrighteousness we are bought brought into god's kingdom and beloved we are saved for good works when jesus has saved you he sends you for good works he gives you the power to do right that's why titus chapter 2 verse 11 to 14 says that the grace of god that brings salvation has appeared to all men teaching us that denying ungodliness and unrighteousness we should live sovereign righteously godly in this present life waiting for the glorious appearing of our lord jesus christ who has brought the forgiveness of sins unto us beloved we are saved by the works of christ we are brought into his kingdom for good works to live by the power of god to do right beloved so christ when you believe in christ beloved and your life is demonstrating that's why james says that faith without works is dead you claim to have faith in god faith is a verb faith is a doing word therefore there should be works that corresponds to your faith these works do not save you beloved you are not saved by these works that you are talking about that this works beloved gives christ the the legal right so to speak to take you to heaven now what do you what do i mean by that you see beloved god in christ has produced for us a perfect righteousness when you come before the law of god when you stand before the love of god which is the standard of his righteousness which is a subset before the constitution of heaven when you stand before the law of god beloved you either stand alone as you are or you stand in christ your good works is evidence for your faith that you are actually standing in christ your good works is what faith uses shows that you have genuine faith because jesus says not all who call me lord lord shall inherit the kingdom of god but only those who do in other words where there is genuine faith the bible says in galatians 5 6 that faith works by love and love obeys the commandments of god you can't escape it works love obeys and you base the same commandments beloved same god same lord same commandments no difference all of it the bible says that if you break one you are broken them all i know my sister has been teaching us here about family life you ladies that are watching me from outside should your husband come and tell you that honey i know some of you do not like those names i had my sister talk about it but when i look at the way when i read the song of songs that beautiful love story and and he begins to describe that woman he calls her with such awesome names and the woman calls their husband with such awesome names and i believe my sister is just about to find some awesome name to use to call her husband with somebody else to praise the lord it is the end of the bible and so when we come to that when let me just go back to what i'm talking about here when you see jesus uh yeah let me come to this when you see jesus the incredible good news of the judgment is no longer talking of fear but of hope joy peace and assurance what god has done for us in christ thank you what god has done for you and i in christ jesus is such incredible good news that makes us to come before god stand in the presence of god and the bible says in second corinthians 5 and verse 21 that he has made him to be seen for us who knew no sin that we might be made the righteousness of god in him now that you have been made the righteousness of god how will you enter into a relationship with him how much obedience do you want to give him and so in the story that i was telling you if you as a man you come into agreement with your wife and you say honey sweeter sugar whatever you want to call her you are free to call her but you call her anything if you like chocolate cola chocolate whatever it is i don't mind but tell her that i want an agreement with you a very simple agreement for 12 months i will be obedient to you but one day when it comes to to december 21st honey i want you to give me a chance just to go out and mess my life i will commit others just once in a year how many of you ladies will enter into that relationship just once in a year i will just go out and commit adultery just once i've asked these questions before when i'm teaching family life and i've never found one woman who says that sweeten it if you are so loyal to me you are free to go and commit adultery just once in life every year just once beloved if you as a human being know that love is jealous that marriage is a it's a it's a it is a special relationship that it's so exclusive that it does not even allow others not even once then why do you expect god of the universe into whom you have been joined into union the bible says that once you are joined to christ you become one spirit with him how do you expect jesus to allow you to break just one of his commandments if you in your relationship cannot accept adultery not even once in 365 days why would you expect god to tolerate you breaking one of the ten commandments i want you to think tonight why would god tolerate it if you cannot do it think about that god is particular about his word i know you may have been deceived by your pastor but the bible says all shall appear before god you will not stand with your pastor or your priest you will stand with the word of god the bible says that times of ignorance god overlooks but now he is commanding all people everywhere to repent around look at the word of god for some of you it is idolatry for some of you you disobey your parents do you know that to obey your parents is one of the ten commandments and that's the commandment that gives you long life it says fear obey your father and mother this is the commandment that gives you life so that your days might be long obey them and we need to teach our today's children obey them there's no room for disobedience in the family and it's the same book that says husbands love your wives it is unconditional love you when she looks ah like like my friend describes you love her when she looks like a coca-cola bottle you love her when the blessings have come and things have changed you still love her because love is not based on how she looks love is a command and commandment only asks for obedience this is why marriage is good when you are married because my sister even if you grow fat in that marriage he promised it is for good or for worse it is for good and when the worst has come it is still a marriage beloved god has given us that commandment also it's number seven thou shalt not commit adultery it's not about how how she looks or he looks but one of the other commandments is number four which says remember the sabbath day to keep it holy it is a command it's not left for you to choose it is not your sabbath day it says remember the sabbath day of the lord not your own there's only one and you can argue as much as you want you can argue as much as your pastor is telling you you can argue as much as your theologian is telling you come back to the word of god god knew that you'd argue so he put it right in the ten commandments so that if you believe that the ten are right you cannot escape the sabbath day beloved it is still the seventh day of the week that's what it was that's what it's still and in the new world that's what it will be what will you do with the word of god beloved the pre-advent judgment is simply proving that you love god it's not making you perfect but it's giving christ opportunity to take you and present you before the judgment seat of christ and saying last night we said that is your advocate when you are walking with christ in faith beloved he will take you and present you before the father and say this one is covered by my righteousness hallelujah is covered by my righteousness is connected to me by faith and my righteousness covers him one writer says christ was treated in the book desire of ages page 25 christ was treated as we deserve that we might be treated as he deserves he was condemned for our sins in which he had no share that we might be justified by his righteousness in which we had no share he suffered the death which was ours that we might receive the lives the life which was his with his stripes we were healed and so blah blah this is the good news of the pre-advent judgment that if you believe in christ then you can have come boldly before that throne because your judge is also your advocate and he knows that you are working together this is good news therefore live your life with boldness live your life with courage face life with joy in your hearts knowing that no matter what happens your judge is also your advocate and if you walk into the courts of law and you find that your judge is also your advocate then you know that the judgment is good news this is the good news of the pre-advent judgment therefore the bible calls us and says they just shall live by faith remain united to jesus no matter what happens and heaven is yours not on your righteousness but on the righteousness of christ jesus may god bless you tonight as you reconsider and read and give your life to christ again he will give you power to say no to sin he will give you power to love he will give you power to walk right and where you are failing the righteousness of christ is enough for you we love him because he first loved us so that are passed through with my god indeed god is god and that is why i hang around the services of god all the time that i'm called upon there's a reason why i hang around i have several testimonies to give but this particular one is concerning my daughter with my third born she's called margaret margaret is now 21 years she was born in in the year 2000 unfortunately when she was about six years we parted ways with the mother because of issues of unfaithful relationships it forced us because of the the situation in which our children because there were three siblings and because of the situation in which our children were it was very difficult for me so i wanted to save the children because their mother was in my opinion very careless in her life that's how she chose to abandon us carelessly and but the the was the situation is that i had this girl she was suffering from sickle cell sickle cell disease is a very challenging disease and if it were not god we could have not reached this far but the most outstanding experience that i had with my god is when she was going to her high school she passed very well and so she was called to ranala gals so when she went as on the day on our mission the teacher was admitting her was very sympathetic with me and she told me that many children of that many students of that category many students who are suffering sickle cell normally don't survive when they reach form two then i called my daughter besides me and i told me mom did you hear what malima messiah but i want you to understand one thing that god had as his own why he he called you in this school but i want you to one day leave to give a testimony of what god has done he was not wrong to bring you into this school malimu has shared with me something which is very pertinent that many of the people who are suffering sickle cell never go beyond form to in their experience in this in the school that you she went so i consoled her and he took it with a heavy heart but that's how it was i gave her some encouragement and confidence and i told her there is nothing impossible with god and that's how i left her there but the most touching experience came when she passed all those from one from two from three and from four when she was remaining with only one month to do her exam my daughter had a very serious crisis so when she came she took one month in the hospital or on admission and then i called the elders here from our church and they went and prayed for her after that prayer i saw my daughter got well and she went back to school but when i took a taxi to take her back to school in nugunda in rangala it was so sad moment when i was we were departing from each other because she was crying that was the most touching thing that really rocked my heart i saw her crying what i told her mom don't cry please don't cry are you forgetting the god we have been serving are you forgetting the god who has brought you here if he has brought you all this far do you think he's going to leave you alone in this last one month remaining to do exam and then i saw her wiping her tears and it was so hard to part ways as i was coming back home because it was also getting late in the evening but let me tell you people god is god my daughter went to class to join the others i told her one thing last the last thing that i told her is that please just try even you get a certificate only just finishing exam just i don't mind even if you get an a or a b or or d but my concern is that you have done that exam just have courage that your god is god the god of daniel is with you and you'll be able to at least get that certificate please just be courageous and get that certificate and then she went so when she went so sadly and we parted each other and in that agony i took a vehicle and i boarded a vehicle to kisumu and i came back so i left her with god we kept on praying for her we kept on praying for her and she managed to do her exam so the last day she did a last paper she called me dad i am through with the purpose that day because they did the exam in the morning i took a taxi from kisumu i went and picked her and we came back to zoom and then i gave her a hug and we got back to the house now when the results came i never expected i never expected what i saw when i started crawling and sending messages on uh on that date when the results were out my daughter got a b minus from that high school and you have very strong past in mathematics and sciences so these are the things that make me bonded so much with christ because god has always been with us some of our elders in church can give that testimony because even pastor pastor paulo the amber came to pray for her in the in the hospital it was so hard and we never knew that she could achieve any much but by grace of god she came with that pass and she was called at the university by kipper university right now she's in her third year at the university of la kepia and we thank god for her there are so many several situations that she has passed when she was in the second year when we went to nairobi hospital which she took one month in the hospital because she couldn't the joints could not move well until she had to go a severe operation which needed several pains of blood transfusion so fortunately i don't know where the people the donors came from nairobi you know imagine i was in nairobi where i didn't know anybody surprisingly how those issues were coordinated until the 15 paints of blood which was required came i still don't understand up to today so when i talk about my daughter the story is so long it is so long she went through that operation those major operations and even right now my friends when i called them back and told them that my daughter is now able to to walk they they are amazed in fact they can't believe it so all along i am proud to have an experience such a painful experience with god and i know that god lives indeed god
