Welcome to the magnificent  region of the Eastern Himalayas,   The Kingdom of Bhutan. And its only international  airport – Paro International Airport. It is located on the bank of the river Paro Chhu in western  Bhutan, six kilometres from the town of Paro.   Due to its location, Paro Airport has one of  the most difficult approaches in the world.   Nestled in the long, deep, and winding river  valley 2200 metres above sea level and surrounded   by peaks as high as 5,500 metres is Paro Airport’s  runway.  Lack of radar to guide planes into the  airport and mountain peaks around the runway  only allow for entirely manual daytime landings   under visual meteorological conditions. Less than  two dozen pilots are certified to land at Paro.   In this video, we will recreate this challenging  landing using one of the most realistic flight simulators.   So, fasten your seatbelts and  get ready to experience one of the most   dangerous approaches in the world from both  the pilot’s and a passenger’s perspective. We will be taking off from Kathmandu,  the capital of Nepal and its largest city. Kathmandu has a rich history, and an even  richer tradition. Also dubbed the city of temples,   Kathmandu attracts tourists from all over the  world thanks to its exquisite architecture,   rich culture, exotic cuisine, and numerous  fairs and festivals.  We depart from Tribhuvan International Airport located in the city, the sole international airport in Nepal. The aircraft is Airbus A320neo – the upgraded variant  of the A320.   If you want in-depth knowledge about flying the A320 – with Airline2Sim we are introducing an advanced online training program   designed in cooperation with a real airline pilot.  Master all stages of flight, from exterior  inspection and starting up the aircraft to   challenging approaches and go-arounds, with  the Airbus A320 Cadet Training Program.  Click the link in the  description and get it today. Its mountains boast a wide variety of flora and fauna. It is a known fact that some of the world’s highest peaks are a  part of the Himalayas, including the most famous   one, Mount Everest, peaking at 8,848 metres.     As we approach our destination, we are going to witness the beautiful and quite daunting valley surrounded by imposingly high mountain peaks.
