hey everyone and welcome to story time my name is Jake and today we are gonna be looking at the subreddit are such Pro revenge where people tell us that best stories and when they got revenge on stories drive really bad pay 400 euros a bit of a backstory I'm a 28 year old American guy who's been living in the southwest of Germany for a little over two years with my German wife though my German isn't the best yet I know enough to get through daily life out here and understand just about everything when I'm paying enough attention we live in an apartment with a small parking lot for guests and each apartment has one garage big enough to fit one car in each if a guest comes to visit the size of the parking lot makes it very difficult or near impossible to get in and out of the garage this is all important later at the time I was working at a small cafe about a ten-minute drive from our apartment my job was extremely strict with working hours so I was in at 7 a.m. and out the door and in my car at 4:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays after about 3 months of working there I noticed every day on my drive home that the same blue car with a black stripe down the middle was either in front of me or behind me every day until I packed up at my apartment where he would continue down the road no biggie I just assumed it was someone with the same type of work schedule that lived in the same small town as me after a while I noticed every time this guy was behind me he would take any opportunity to overtake me even though there were always about 20 to 30 cars directly in front of me going the same speed every day it was a two-way road with one lane going each way all the way to where I lived I thought nothing of it I knew I was a slower drivers since I didn't fall understand the German rules of the road yeah and didn't want to take chance of getting a ticket or worse so I was used to people passing me even though I never went under the speed limit anyways this went on for a while with him still passing me almost every day most of the time cutting me off making me slam on the brakes on one particular day he was extremely impatient and aggressive to where he tried to pass me in a one lane roundabout to where he almost sideswiped my car he ended up bailing from the attempt and fell back behind me at this point I'm angry but I hold back my anger and continue to drive normally about five minutes later I'm almost home driving up a pretty steep winding road with very tight turns as I'm near the first band I see a man on a bicycle on my side of the road so I veer to the middle of the road to give him some room while I pass and I could see there was no oncoming traffic at this exact moment the douchebag tries to pass me again almost hitting me I couldn't move to my right or I would have to hit the man on the bike this douchebag again bails from his obviously idiotic and dangerous attempt of passing me again and continues behind me I finally got to my apartment and when I park for some reason I looked in my mirror and who do I see parked behind me you guessed it the douchebag he looks angry I don't know what this guy plans on doing and I have no intention on finding out so I get out of my car and instantly go to the back of my car and grab the tire iron but I keep it hidden so he doesn't see it or think I'm going to attack him he gets out of his car to where I say to him in my broken German can I help you he immediately scuffs and asks where are you from or slander for those of you who don't know that word ah slander is a very rude and disrespectful way of saying foreign air or something like that I asked him does it matter where I'm from I live here now he scuffs again and started a whole speech about how people like you are the problem with this country and I shouldn't even be here and how you should be thanking me since it's my tax money paying for you to be here sight now I came here legally and between me and my wife's job we live pretty comfortably with no government aid I stopped him in the middle of his run and say you don't know anything about me and what does any of this have to do with you driving like a douchebag at this point it looks like he's seeing rad and continues to scream obscenities at me for about 30 seconds he suddenly interrupted by a loud hey where a man wearing a helmet runs right up to him and slams him against his car so hard it cracks his window with his back I'm so confused for a bear while this man is pinning him to his car absolutely enraged screaming at this douchebag and then it clicked to me this is the man on the bike I didn't understand everything being said but it was something along the lines of you almost got me injured what is your problem the shouting went on for about two minutes until the man on the bike forced the douchebag into his car and made him drive off as much as I wished this isn't the end of the story about a month goes by and on Saturday my wife and I come home from shopping as we turn into her apartment parking the only way into our garage is blocked by a car the car blew with a black stripe my wife notices that I'm more angry than I should be about this because we have this situation before with other cars everyone that lives in this apartment is very nice and we all have each other's phone numbers in case of an emergency or for this kind of a situation it's normal to receive a text from a neighbor at least once a week asking if we have a guest parked in the way we don't really have friend into this area so it was never our guests parking there so my wife starts to send out a text asking for whoever has the ghast if they could kindly move the car while she's doing this I'm calling the landlord who has told us multiple times if someone blocks our way to the garage to call her so she can call a tow truck obviously nobody in our building does this because it's usually not a big deal and a simple text could solve it I tell her what's going on and give her the details of the car I hear her let out a sigh ah him again okay I'll deal with that and she hangs up apparently this man has given another neighbour of ours problems before I tell my wife to not send out the text and that we should go get a coffee instead there's a cafe directly in front of our apartment parking my wife looks confused but says okay we're sitting in the outdoor part of the cafe with a clear view of the apartment parking while I explained to her the whole story of this guy and what he did last month because I never told her about it before eventually I see a tow truck in the apartment building and pointed out to my wife and she almost can't contain her laughter I wasn't able to hear much but eventually the douchebag noticed his car was being towed and ran outside to his car which was already on the truck all I heard was a lot of screaming but I didn't understand anything the truck driver eventually left with his car and the douchebag was just standing there and he looked across the street and noticed my wife and I watching the whole thing I smiled and waved and took a sip of my coffee he walked back inside with utter defeat I later found out that this douchebag is the father to one of the girls who lives in the same building as me she knocked at my door the next day and asked about the situation which I explained everything thankfully she was very understanding and even apologized for her father's behavior she also told me that this isn't the first time her father's anger got him in trouble my wife being the nicest person in the world made her cookies later that week to show no hard feelings towards her she laughed and told us her dad had to pay 400 euros to get the car back she was actually pretty happy her father got what was coming to him after that we actually became pretty good friends with her and her boyfriend now every time the douchebag comes to visit his daughter he parks his car across the street and won't say a word to me as far as I know he drives a different way home from work hey I see that as a win you get a friend and the guy has to pay 400 euros that's it that's a big win double win new boss takes it in the neck years ago I was a manager of an elite help desk team for a large computer manufacturer this was the coolest job because of the perks I got to handpick the best of the best tax to work in my department because we charged two dollars a minute for support we would support anything that anyone was willing to pay as $2 a minute to support each tech had the potential to earn the company nine hundred and sixty dollars per day which is a big deal because tech support is not usually a profit Center for any company the reason I'm explaining this is because I was required to give up two Tech's for their entire shift in order to run a complex report for my bosses which cost them potentially nearly $2,000 per day the company IT department had not been able to automate the creation of this report so they gave it to me to deal with after running through it with my tax we came up with a process that involved number one receiving the previous day's data from IT number two tech one started the rapport working on it for her entire shift number three tech two resumed the report for her entire shift number four turning it into management for their review at the end of the second shift so data from Monday was delivered to us Tuesday morning and it was turned into a report for management by Tuesday evening which they wouldn't see until Wednesday morning the data was two days old by the time they saw it my team was the golden child of the tech support arm of the company and I had a great boss who will refer to his great boss I had a meeting with him about this daily report issue because I wanted my to text back on the phones making money I offered to write a software application on my own time which would retrieve the data in real time and create the reports for the currently available data whenever management wanted to view it no more two-day-old data I was offering five minute old data I asked for two weeks salary is compensation and great boss agreed for him it was a steal potentially one thousand nine hundred and twenty dollars daily in reclaimed revenue from two Tech's who were pulled off a profitable team was a super deal for him so I got to work it took about a week to write the code when I was finished I installed it on one of the company's servers and did some fine-tuning everything worked as planned I was about to raise the performance metrics of my team and make a few thousand extra in the process unfortunately during that week great boss had been forced into retirement and I had a new boss who came in with a yes man named run day when I present in the reporting system to new boss and Randy weasel they were really impressed they loved that they didn't have to look at the old stale data and could be proactive instead of reactive then I mentioned the agreement with great boss regarding compensation for my time that's when things went south new boss said he would need to clear that up with upper management and that he didn't think he could pay that the next day he came back with an offer for two vacation days instead of an actual payment of course I turned that down his argument was that it would be better to get something for my work than to get nothing for air it was then that I learned that my access to the server had been revoked I couldn't take it back they had the goods and I was at their mercy or was I as the author of the software only I knew how it worked what maintenance it required and only I have a source code so it couldn't be modified by anyone else if they wanted changes they would have to rewrite it from scratch I knew it would be only a matter of time before lack of maintenance bit them so I plan to be long gone by that time my revenge began about five minutes into my next shift I arrived with a large duffel bag and two sheets of paper in a folder right on schedule Randy weasel arrived at my desk for some nonsense thing being an idiot he thought nothing of it when I handed him a clipboard and said sign this he took the pen and jotted his signature down like a trained dog he continued his nonsense and I said follow me to the copy machine which he did he went on with his nonsense while I made a copy of the sheet he signed and the other sheet which I pulled out of the folder I then stapled the two copies together and put them in his hand he looked down at the top sheet a vacation request form starting today through the next two weeks he said you can't take this to which I replied you signed it and it gets better he flipped to the next shade my two weeks notice his eyes grew to the size of saucers as he realized that yesterday was my last day and that they had no replacement for my duties and no leadership for my team I returned to my desk and proceeded to pack up everything I got my two weeks paid vacation great boss hired me to lead a tech support department with a new company best of all the reporting system I built crashed due to lack of maintenance within a month I'd like to think that new boss and Randy weasel lived to regret their actions but the reality is that they probably just find someone else to screw over whatever I got mine and they got Jack ok if you literally get handed a clipboard and someone says sign this why what kind of person signs that like oh yeah I'll sign that yep what is it this fall by the way oh I
