maybe another future video that you might see down the road but we're gonna cook one of these up and just have a nice little chicken dinner tonight so it should be fun uh these are roughly one i think it's just slightly over uh five pounds the other one's like five and a half pounds i think that's the five and a half pounder and i don't know how much of this i'm gonna show you because to be honest i'm not the best at trusting a chicken but i can get the job done i promise i keep trying some fancy stuff but it's never seem to get it right love that get some more sharper scissors take another piece right in here [Music] tie these thighs up hold everything together that's how i do it turn around turn my wings in another piece i might retie that one thing behind that neck pull my wings in tight him [Music] and trim i'll retie that off camera i don't like how that looks i'm gonna spit here and it's gonna be interesting i'm gonna see how this goes i'll get her all seasoned up here in just a second i don't know how much i'm gonna need so [Music] i think i get all the water drained up i found out i'm highly wrong we'll see how this goes and i've got my mister here and it's just got some olive oil in it and i'm gonna spray this whole chicken [Music] rub it down real good and just going to use some montreal chicken seasoning use that plenty of times before i love this stuff on these chickens turn over get this side up a little okay guys let me go ten to this fire and uh we'll get this thing going all right let's see what we got here did not do a whole charcoal basket or a whole chimney get back in there pan and catch some of the cleanup bring our rotisserie riser beautiful i'm going to shoot for a target temp in the 350 degree range for this i'm expecting about a two hour cook we'll see how long it takes all right slightly over the 350 mark but i think we can drill that let's get this bad boy on here that's centered a little better than i thought it would be this thing's spinning and hope i did a good enough job you never know with me hey guys i got one piece of applewood we'll check back here in a little while okay guys we've been on for about an hour let's take our first look would you look at that i'm losing some temps so i do want to address that because we're here i'm gonna check the temperature i'm looking about 160 turn it on dummy we're not too far away guys 140. back here in the leg and thighs guys we're not that far away i'm happy to say check this guy we're in the 140s there it's a little hard to see but i'm going to add a little bit more charcoal because i am losing some temps i'm going to shake up some of the excess off get out of here i'm not going to add any more wood to this i'll probably check back in in maybe a half hour or so that will be very close [Music] okay folks we're roughly 90 minutes into this let's take oh would you look at that look at that goodness get this over here i want to take some tents definitely 160. oh yeah we're done there in the breasts for sure yeah most definitely look at them clear juices guys let me uh pull this out and i'm gonna go inside and we'll cut one of these up for you okay let's see if i can get this out of here it's setting for a few minutes don't they look gorgeous i always take one for the team look at that let's pull this spit right on out of here beautiful beautimus i don't know about you those are some couple beautiful birds well i'm gonna cut one of these up the rest is gonna be pulled i think i'm gonna cut the smaller one up to be quite honest with you so we'll pull the larger one for another cook so let's get busy on that all right guys let's do some cutting here okay here all right folks let's finish this thing up look at that piece of chick my skin kind of fell over that is on spot i only added that one piece of wood that's really all it needed for these because they're not real big chickens so that that's really all it needed uh this one just parked charcoal on the rest of it turn that really good guy's moist uh i'm gonna pull a piece of this wing that i destroyed skin is crisp perfect love it guys guys thank you what a mess wow rotisserie
