welcome to the prayer of the rosary such a blessing that we can turn to the lord and trust in the lord for the future knowing that he's going to be with us this is going to be an incredible year every day is an incredible day when we walk with the lord it doesn't mean every day will be easy but it does mean that god is going to have the final say and so we'll pray the rosary together today we'll pray the luminous mysteries these are beautiful mysteries of the life of jesus the ministry of jesus that we as individuals as people of god may grow in ministry in service of the lord this year and so we begin this time of prayer with this rosary the weapon of choice today to break through to break through to heaven so that heaven may come here on earth as he promises us in the very prayer of the our father and so we begin in the name of the father and of the son and of the holy spirit amen we'll pray the creed together i believe in god the father almighty creator of heaven and earth and in jesus christ his only son our lord who was conceived by the holy spirit born of the virgin mary suffered under pontius pilate was crucified died and was buried he descended into hell on the third day he rose again from the dead and he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of god the father almighty from there he will come to judge the living and the dead i believe in the holy spirit the holy catholic church the communion of saints the forgiveness of sins the resurrection of the body and life everlasting amen and so now we begin by praying for the pope's intentions our children of god but also as missionaries of god it's not just receiving god's love but it's sharing it with others this is the beauty of our baptism the more we give the more we receive and so we'll those in most need of thy mercy saint joseph pray for us the second luminous mystery is the wedding at cana what a beautiful feast a beautiful celebration of the love of god so the intention the grace for the this mystery is the intercession of mary just imagine how persistent she was you know even jesus said it wasn't his time and yet mary persisted she insisted and so this is where we can turn to mary even when we feel that our prayers are not being heard pray to mary ask her she will bring it to jesus man if someone needs anything from me the best way not that i'm telling you to do this but the way best way to get me to do it is to go to my mom because i'm never going to refuse her i'll never refuse her and jesus is the same with his mom whom he loves so much so let's bring our third luminous mystery is the coming of the kingdom of god the proclamation of the kingdom of god and the grace that we pray for that during this mystery is repentance we pray for the gift of conviction see with god there's no condemnation the scripture is very clear about this there is no condemnation for those who are in christ jesus god never condemns the devil condemns but jesus convicts let's pray for the gift of conviction that god may show us the sin in our lives that we may repent and turn away from it this is where we're going to find joy and peace and freedom lord show that we won't be of any earthly use but that we may have a beautiful perspective of where we're going in our lives not to get lost in all the material things of this world but to be able to contemplate the divinity the transcendent you see if you don't spend enough time with the divine we don't spend enough time with touching heaven spending time with jesus then you're going to forget your purpose you're going to forget your call to be a saint so let's pray for this grace to be able to spend time with jesus to know our call our eternal call to be children of god our father who art eucharist the establishment of the eucharist and this is what we pray for this grace the reverence of the eucharist some of us have been away from the eucharist for a long time and this is my prayer that you will have a desire to come back a desire for jesus in the eucharist online masses great fantastic but nothing replaces jesus the source the summit of our faith so just pray for this desire to
