just take a second here to thank you very much because I know you're a quite quite busy fellow and a very nicely the game are not guys very sweet of it very nice food and the cold air I love this the film birdcage first of all historically what do people what do they need to know about this film originally like in the late 70s it was it was a film about two homosexuals and it still is yeah but the first version of it was called Micajah fall officah for yeah is the cage of the crazy Queen I think and this is uh the bird cage which is you know that kind of loose translation thing yeah and it says it's quite funny I think you know it's always strange cuz you a guy in drag is funny and a woman in drag is Armani [Applause] it was while we have this production number these big production numbers with all these guys in drag and some of them are gorgeous and there's like Teamsters going I know it's a guy I don't care you know I'm standing at the urinal next to Madonna and I'm going wow you are gorgeous that is one fabulous guy but it's it's been fun to do it so now the film the film you play the you're like a you run a nightclub you're part owner in a nightclub you have a I remember I have I run my clothes here at all on any of this you're doing quite well good thank you I'm glad you saw the film it's like and I have this I we have a son yeah I had kind of like a wild wonderful night the one heterosexual moment that he had and my son wants to marry this girl who is whose father is a a conservative Oh makes Bob Dole he looked quite liberal uh-huh what kind of reaction are you expecting from the film I'm hoping for a good reaction if not I have to buy Kevlar I think but we don't want you that no don't be one funny drag movie soon oh you better deeds for me right boy I just hip-hop you came right now going oh Lord oh Lord demon spirits demon spirit you know that's right the nice thing is Elaine may wrote this script which is very political and she's put a lot of topical references in their technical work quite well yeah and at Nathan Lane who has been on the show as he's wonderful wonder I mean he when he dresses up at the end he we have to try and fool this couple he dresses up it's basically Barbara Bush which is fabulous not gonna lie looks great thousand points of light wearing them around his neck ah let us do a commercial he'll do that and you get a clip and we got and then we're going to play with your time its dental hygiene Iraq [Music] River your CBS all-girl Orchestra Robin whims Patsy Kensit and space hog will be out here you know we're just talking me in the commercial and you told me that you just were in Japan like was it 26 hours you know Jay I was a little punchy okay my friend thank you oh god I don't you know Cleveland is a beautiful town yeah I'll tell you that and let me have a little coffee right here now long a little mineral water this is a Betty Ford speed call here we goin on yes I was I was in Japan again back like how long is it it's 14 hours of sheer bliss yeah and you get in you you know kind of case may get a little jet but your back work what are you doing in Japan I had to promote a Jumanji in Japan which was great I mean I had to do all these different talk shows this is not the first time you've been there I'm guessing right you've been to Japan too many times David and I and also know you're very big over there they don't know who you are you're just a big minute egg man yeah and I would just you must be worshipped as a God there oh yes come little furry boy stay bring me monkey comedian you have more hair than anyone ever you wear Luke Wow look pressed for fire opera Globe give you in Japan throw red paint on me let's not wear fur [Music] but they're very you know Japanese talk shows I've went on the Japanese news one night is a very surreal experience because I'm on the news needs a little being out there translating which is like bad medication anyway she knows they couldn't lead or nvidia i reck'n know said that you considered a why did you do club paradise okay and then I went on a Japanese variety show the equivalent your equivalent there and I they said though they teach us to be funny so I tried to do impressions I did I had six Japanese comedians doing Groucho Marx which is either side you got lasted ask another these negative people at home in Japan going movie bang did you do you like the food there you like okay they take us up to these incredible restaurants and they serve you they have this one fish which is uh you'll find out later on it's quite deadly oh this is the thing that in this late yes it's a Blowfish it's called fugu which sounds like a New York fish fugu yo a fugu man is your throat but it's uh it's very deadly and if they if they credit slightly wrong yeah if it's cooked improperly yeah good you're the partier but no harm like nothing and then I'm eating the fish and I'm going whoa what is this dishes oh this is wonderful they go that is sperm ah firm of the fugu I'm haha alright wonderful I should have known from the little vial how exactly is that serve yeah oh [Applause] the entire room with I know sometimes as a boundary and I go the jet lag I'll be the excuse ah but is this deadly fish to me to my way of thinking if it's deadly on the other side of this I going to Arkansas and ordering pork sushi yes but it also must be very very tasty it's cavitation is incredible yeah so is it like the best tasting fish you ever had all day this I'm not gonna light it is that yes died and gone to hell I mean you have fish this is a fish and it tastes just like chicken but a really good seal burger and when you get to that when you get to that other pod you know the product is oh boy that's even better ah yes I know it is it's just incredible taste but you're going and you're risking your life yeah what a wonderful thing to do we need to pause here we'll be right back we'll be right back with rabid weed it is it's getting really interesting now they get it they when they asked ol something in the new goal I believe that totally inept words he'll go well maybe not I'm not sure it's a let's take a look at the birdcage we have we got a clip you got a clip we got us a clip buddy you're telling that much yeah this is a full service oh sure we get your complimentary back you got your everything Mouse watch a stick I'm loyal a cast sir you don't rip tie for fun later on that's right this this does represent fun for me I can pull that their head start the the clip I guess I think there's the one I saw you and Nathan Lane is that what we're looking at here I'm hoping you all right what moving oh this is a burger when does this thing open up it opens March 8th March 8th a birdcage Robin Williams Nathan Lane who else anyone else you are there's Hank Azaria there's gene Hackman no Gene Hackman man is he terrific he's great yes sir all right there's a big surprise as at the end of the movie that restrained performance ah a very simple simple move very very impressive and I tell you what we got to do the commercial you want to hang around we got space organ we got Patsy Kenz you can do
