RIP Fortnite’s Skating Update

from the rarest item getting axed to thousands of accounts mysteriously gone here is 25 things secretly removed in fortnite chapter 3. one thing all players are looking forward to was the summer update with it we were given a concert stage a skate park and one item that would change the game forever except that didn't happen the skatepark simply became the ghost of a feature that could have been the highlight of summer so what went wrong three years ago epic officially t skateboards and while most thought it was just concept art that all changed on june 21st when the skating animation officially leaked the timing couldn't have been better because within a few weeks we'd also hear rumors of a skatepark py and multiple other teases making us all come to the conclusion skating was coming to fortnite rumor has it that it was fully live and ready to go but was cancelled because epic was on vacation and couldn't risk aiding being broken while they were away while secretly removed from the summer update we should expect it to return soon unlike og llamas for the past few months we've had to chase llamas around for the loot but with this season they were updated to leave riffs if you didn't catch them in time most new players don't even realize it never used to be this way things were a lot more simple where if you found a llama you just opened it like any other chest which a lot of us kind of miss it's something that epic secretly changed has resulted in thousands of players being banned before guys went free to play we were able to link our epic games accounts to it but it turns out that if your account age is under 13 then you might be banned from fortnite forever yeah a ton of people logged in and saw this terrifying message where you have to unlock your game through a parent's email or your fortnite account will be permanently deleted in 29 days but seriously double check your accounts and it turns out that only a small percentage of players knew about this next change ever since reboot vans were added in chapter 1 they have stayed the exact same right well turns out they were secretly changed in chapter 3 and barely anyone remembers as you know once you get rebooted you respawn in the sky and could dive down to a chosen location but it never used to be like this you actually used to spawn on top of the van and something else that was secretly vaulted was fortnite's weather system you might be enjoying a match of season 3 and come across a huge tornado but originally they were released with lightning storms too there used to be dark clouds in the sky that would smite players and give them super speed and epic removed it without telling anyone you probably also didn't notice that fortnite removed one of its core mechanics in chapter three shakedowns these were in the game for so long and became part of our daily routine and near the end of chapter 2 epic even updated shakedowns to let us cancel the animation it was a much needed change but it didn't last long by the time the new island came around shakedowns were permanently deleted from the game so were propane tanks you probably forgot these even existed but they were everywhere on the chapter 2 island you could pick them up and throw them or shoot them to cause an explosion back in the day these were the only things to start a fire but with a new chapter they're nowhere to be found everyone forgot about them so quick just like they forgot about the mythic goldfish this was the rarest item in fortnite history and you only had a one in a million chance of getting it because it was so hard to find nobody realized it was vaulted in chapter 3 and there is no way to prove it but i can't confirm that yes it is gone for good just like pleasant park and retail row the two most og pois in all of fortnite have been removed for the first time ever they were on the map ever since season one and were only changed a few times but never vaulted but chapter three's new island both pleasant and retail are nowhere to be found and honestly i kind of miss them already we've been used to the current loophole for so long that it probably never crossed your mind that shopping were vaulted in fact you probably had no idea they even came back in the first place they were originally removed to chapter one and everyone wanted them back so an entire chapter later they reappeared but were only in fortnite for a few weeks kind of like they were never even there and something that everyone was happy to see vaulted was the hunter's cloak and raptors we have tons of wildlife around the chapter 3 island and now you can ride them but for the longest time we were supposed to ride dinosaurs turns out that'll never happen now because they're gone and so is the hunter's cloak a lot of people really dislike the primal season and probably won't be missing these items although i'm pretty sure that nobody has noticed that one of chapter 3's most famous npcs has gone missing two seasons ago we were able to eliminate the foundation for his mythic mk-7 during the collision event we watched the foundation and jon jones jump into the zero point they were heading after geno and while we wait to see what happens season three has begun except it made zero sense on the island you were able to actually find the foundation walking around holding his mk-7 well this week we logged into the game and suddenly he has nowhere to be found epic to lead the foundation without telling anybody and i'm guessing it's because he wasn't really meant to be here in the first place but something that shocked everyone was the removal of one of fortnite's coolest new consumables even though season 3 is literally party theme they have gotten rid of the pizza boxes yeah you can't share a huge pizza with your friends anymore although it was replaced with a new ice cream cone so i guess it evens out but what we're all really sad about is that guzzle juices were introduced in season 1 and despite being loved by everyone they were also secretly removed last season and so are the original styles for some of fortnite's item shop skins it's become pretty common for us to log into the game and see our favorite skins receive changes whether it's a new edit style or an item in the set it's always nice to see epic go back and change things but for some skins epic completely vaults the original design and that's what happened to beach jewels and complex jewels was given a darker skin tone to fit the original skin and complexes also change even though the differences are barely recognizable epic still offered refunds to players who wanted one and it's not the only item shop skin that's been secretly changed after the oscars drama with will smith and his recent apology it seems the mike lowry said has been removed out of the item shop rotation just like travis scott and unfortunately some other fan favorite items are still gone from the game too of course i'm talking about the original star and pump shotgun with chapter 3's launch both of these guns were taken out of the loophole never to be seen again although during season 1 people were able to find the pump through a malfunctioning vending machine this was not supposed to happen and epic removed it but it made some people think that pumps are still in the game in reality they revolted for good and we haven't seen them over three seasons later at least a lot of people noticed they were gone something that was removed without anyone realizing was the quadcrashers well chapter 3's release got rid of dozens of items and actually added back to quad crashers and they had some pretty big changes too you need a fuel to drive them and epic made it harder to fly around using the boost eventually though we decided that quad crashers just weren't as good as they used to be and epic quietly vaulted them a season later without telling anyone but it gets even more ridiculous when you realize that epic removes side grading it was added to upgrade benches in chapter 2 and that you change your weapon to a similar one using materials by the end of season 8 you're able to do this with nuts and bolts but with chapter 3 they can't be found anywhere making side braiding impossible upgrade benches lost the ability to cygrade as well and even though it sucks to learn that it's out of the game i don't really think many of us use this feature too often anyway the community also didn't notice that frogs were removed from fortnite even though they didn't really take up a lot of room and you can see one in the season two trailer frogs actually haven't been in the game since march turns out they revolted to make more room for chickens because during the av and ambush wild week in season 1 epic had to increase their spawn rate so they just straight up deleted all of their wildlife from the game now frogs actually never return after this while all the other animals did i guess epic just really hates frogs it's even more ironic when you realize that fortnite eventually removed chickens as well so you won't be able to find a single one in season 3. just like you're not able to find the heavy shotgun even though epic reworked the heavy with a brand new aiming system it didn't last long season 2 began they secretly vaulted it and replaced it with a drum shotgun now the heavy was gone but season two gave us the return of the thermofish it even had rework heat vision so using it wasn't as blinding as before but sadly even if you did enjoy your time with the fish it was vaulted in just two months at least it was a normal thing to vault something that epic change this season became a huge controversy in the community battle fast skin eevee was secretly changed in an update yeah people logged into the game and noticed that she was given a pretty weird redesign looking at the before and after it's hard to explain why epic did this or how they assumed no one would notice of course they got really embarrassed about this and reverted evie back to normal a week later but yeah i'm getting a little deja vu right now and an item that you probably forgot even existed in the first place was fortnite's icy grappler this was an exotic that was introduced in the final season of chapter 2 and people had a ton of fun with it even though epic worked really hard to make a new item and it was one of the first new exotics in months the icy grappler was removed with chapter 3's launch and we haven't seen it since just like it'd be fun to revisit one of chapter 3's best landing spots for the past few months people have been dropping at a farm on the west side of the map because it had a 100 llama spawn rate this thing was in the exact same position every single match no matter what and who would have passed up a guaranteed llama but i gotta bet he's not even the cutest animal to be deleted from the game that crowd is held by colombo by far one of the most popular things to ever be added to fortnite club was adored by the community when season two began he went into hiding mountains could be spotted all over the map and it confirmed that he would eventually return except epic pulled off the biggest troll of all time and at the start of this season you could find a skeleton on the map mounds are now gone and it looks
