This is kinda wrong though. I'm a leftie and had to play drums on a right-handed set pretty much all my life (Unless you feel like moving stuff around all the time). After years of playing drums your right hand is going to get better because you'll use it more often when drumming the traditional way (crossing your right hand over your left).

What defines Ringo is his style, which can be partly inspired from being left handed in the first place (I can understand this, I can do rolls with my left hand better than with the right one because that's my trained hand), but it's far from being the reason why he is hard to emulate. He had a great sense of musicality and rhythm despite being very average in technique and flash, and that is what makes Ringo a fantastic drummer.

That would be easy to fake as described... if you’re right handed just play a left handed set...

People really aren’t willing to invest much in it or there’s more to it I’d imagine. (Though I haven’t heard anything about copying ringo star in the first place.)
