Rightfully Mine!

[Music] i'ma get in as much of this as i can i'm going to genesis chapter 32 verse 24 through 30. i may have to continue this on wednesday night as a disclaimer stand if you're able for the reading of the word so jacob was left alone so jacob was left alone and a man wrestled with him till daybreak when the man saw that he could not overpower him he touched the socket of jacob's hip so that his hip was wrenched as he wrestled with the man then the man said let me go for it it's daybreak this was a night fight but jacob replied i will not let you go until you bless me the man asked him what is your name jacob he answered then the man said your name will no longer be jacob but israel because you have struggled with god and with humans and have overcome because you struggle with god and with humans and have overclocked have mercy have struggled with god and we're humans that have overcome jacob said please tell me your name but he replied why do you ask my name then he blessed him there so jacob called the place penal saying it is because i saw god to face and yet my life was spared did you notice i started out talking about man he wrestled a man to the breaking of day and it ends up talking about i saw god face to face this is a theophonic appearance of jesus christ in the old testament and jacob russells with the man whose name is the secret because the time has not yet been given to expose who he is why do you ask me that jacob wrestles with the theophonic manifestation of jesus christ in the old testament lacking onto the fourth one in the fiery furnace yeah jesus shows up in the old testament he peaks from eternity into time in the old testament and this is one of the visit visitations of god as he moves in the life of jacob in the middle of the night and i i i want to examine this i'm going to talk from the subject rightfully mine rightfully mine and somebody say it's rightfully mine i don't care what it looks like i don't care what you say about me i don't care how you act i don't care what your attitude might be it's rightfully mine say it again it's rightfully mine yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah you may say i stole it you may say i didn't get it you may say i'm not legit but it's rightfully mine if god didn't want me to have it i wouldn't have it it's it's it's y'all don't hear what i'm saying it's rightfully mine spirit of the living god fought fresh on us as we open up the word of god we need you you're the revelator you're the us author and finisher of our faith you're the inspirator of our very text before us your paramount importance in this moment without you we can do nothing open up the oracles of heaven and speak to your people today whether they are near or far away i thank you in advance for what you're going to do have your way in this place in jesus name somebody shout amen you may be seated in his presence because it's weird to have people in the building i'm used to saying somebody say man and hearing like [Applause] [Music] i almost don't know what to do y'all said hey man it almost scared me i thought oh god real people it is hard to look at this text in the microcosm of the situation itself without including in the periphery the attitude and the concepts of the family from which jacob is extrapolated for you cannot talk about jacob outside of the context of who sired him his father isaac without understanding his mother rebecca without taking a glance at least at abram and understanding the abrahamic covenant because that is the blessing inherent a part of his inheritance understanding jacob also means understanding the pressure that exists in his life having been born into a spiritual aristocratic monarchy a manifestation of god through a family that started a lineage that became a nation they were a family of purpose but that does not mean that they were not a family of problems it is possible my brothers and sisters to have purpose and problems if i don't say anything else today i can sit down right there but some people think if you have purpose once you find your purpose you won't have any problems and then other people are having problems finding their purpose but people who have found their purpose also understand that the art of being purposeful is also to navigate through the problems that come purpose and jacob's life has become a microcosm of purpose and problems and pain i did my first funeral when i was 19 years old and and i quickly learned that at times of great pain family problems surfaced quickly yeah it might look good at the ceremony at the service but you don't know how they were fighting in the car and arguing in the house and complaining about this and that because pain brings problems to the surface and part of the problems is brought about through what is rightfully mine you're not you're not taking mama's house you're not taking mama told me one day while we were frying chicken in buttermilk sauce that she wanted my grandbaby to have everybody's got a claim on what is rightfully mine and it can be quite contentious it can it can require a pastor not only be able to use the johnson funeral but to litigate the opposing ideas of the family and if he's unable to resolve it it may actually go to court to an attorney for an attorney to sort through and even attorneys are left scratching their heads and judges left trying to figure out because sometimes there is no will and and when there is no will then the court takes over what is rightfully done and does what's best in its eyes because you never left a clear plan as to what was best in your eyes so this is about rights and it's about a family that's carrying on a legacy that's pointing toward cavalry and to be privileged to be born into a family that is pointed toward calvary it has to run you would think in a straight line every birth was important from eve forward every woman who had a baby was hoping and praying that she would be the messianic mother of the of the god child but the bible said that the seed of the woman should rise up and bruise the head of the head of the serpent and the serpent should bruise his heels so every woman who went in the labor was hoping for jesus looking for and looking to the expectation of the fulfillment of the problem to break the curse and so every child was significant you have women like elizabeth who said give me a child let's not die i gotta have it i gotta have it you have women who were burned like hannah praying and praying and praying and praying till they staggered around like drunk women not because they were lonely she had paninis kids but she was hoping to be the one that had the child that made the difference in this particular case you must realize that that that jacob enters into this text in a position of wrestling that's the first thing they tell us that jacob was left alone with god and there he wrestled with the man he wrestled somebody say he wrestled the word wrestle makes me sling all the way back to his birth because jacob's fight didn't start on the mountaintop in the dark no no no jacob's fight did not start there jacob's fight started in the womb when his mother birthed him into the world he was in a fight when she was pregnant there was such fighting going on in his mother's womb that she had to pray and ask god what is going on take a look at this text i want you i want you to look at this i wanna i wanna look at this take me to genesis uh 25 yeah 25 21. isaac prayed to the lord on behalf of his wife because she was childless wait a minute isn't that funny his mama was too isn't it funny he he married a woman like his mother i ain't about that isaac prayed to the lord on behalf of his wife because she was childless he had the faith to pray for a barren woman because he was born out of a buried womb the lord answered his prayer and his wife rebecca became pregnant the babies jostled each other or wrestled with each other within her and she said why is this happening to me what's going on inside of me what's going on in my stomach this isn't just a kick and a jab these folks is fighting can you imagine being a woman being pregnant with twins and they're in a fight and your belly is going from side to side and they're kicking martial arts and everything in the world they are fighting and she says what's going on so she went to inquire of the lord and the lord said to her two nations are in your womb and two people from within you will be separated one people will be stronger than the other and the older will serve the younger now now that is interesting the older will serve the younger it's interesting because it's not normally like that normally the younger would serve the older because the older one would be the firstborn and the blessing is on the first born but but god says when all of this is over the older will serve the younger that alone switches the birth order when the time came for her to give birth there were twin boys in her home the first to come out was red and his whole body was like a hairy garment so they call his name esau after this his brother came out with his hand grasping esau's heel so they called him jacob trickster supplanter con man that's what jacob means isaac was 60 years old look at that isaac was 60 years old when rebecca gave birth to them he these are the children of his old age much like he is the child of an old man he is 60 years old having a baby now i'm over 60 and the last thing i want my wife to come home and tell me is the doctor said you don't want to start raising children at 60 but this is what has come up under his life to do on the other hand there's a certain amount of pride in being 60 and birthing a child the same kind of pride that abram had when he had isaac the pride of saying even in this season of my life i am yet fruitful [Applause] jacob is born in this environment and they named him because of how they found him and they found him fighting and the bible said because he was snatching at esau coming out of the womb they called him jacob until you understand that part of the story then you won't understand the rest of the story because what happens next is the fight not only for the birth of birth order but the birthright to understand who has the right to reign nature teaches history teaches the period teaches that the first born should have the right to reign and so when they brought esau to his father isaac isaac loved esau but god hated him put a pen right there why does god hate esau that's a strong word why does god hate esau well add that to jacob is pulling at him coming out of the womb and they called him jacob because he had his hand on the heel of the firstborn child and the old man has purpose to bless his firstborn but the prophecy said that the blessing would be on the younger of them have you ever been in a situation where you weren't even in line for the blessing where it didn't look like it was going to be you you were not the favorite you were not the least most likely you were not the preferred you were not the one not only in your family in your neighborhood in your school in your house in your life have you ever believed god for something and the odds were against you the odds are against jacob the odds are against it but they forgot that old jacob is a fighter and the fight started in the womb and what we do not know is what happened in the womb we don't know who was supposed to be first we only know who came out first as all we know we know who came out first now when we look at this next deposit that we're going to make in this next phase we're going to get down to the birthright in genesis 25 29-34 we're going to begin to understand that the fight that started in the womb now continues outside the home because jacob said it ain't over somebody say it ain't over once when jacob was cooking some stew esau came in from the open country famished he said to jacob quick let me have some of that red stew i'm famished that is why he was also called edom jacob replied first sell me your birthright let's finish what we started look i am about to die esau said what good is the birthright to me they're still fighting but jacob said swear to me first so he swore an oath to him selling his birthright to jacob then jacob gave esau some bread and some lentils and some cornbread and some collard greens and some rice and some potato salad and some sweet potato pie he ate and drank and then got up and left so he's all despised his birthright he gave away his birthright but the bible said that it wasn't his in the first place wonder why the bible says esau sought repentance with many tears and found it not see sometimes somebody else has got something that is rightfully yours uh yeah y'all gonna get it in a minute let me put it in biblical terms i'll give you houses that you didn't build i'll give you vineyards that you didn't grow somebody may be living in what's gonna be your house somebody may be driving what's gonna be your car somebody may be in an office that's gonna be yours they just don't know it yet you may have to fight for it but god said it's rightfully [Applause] i don't know i don't know i don't know all i know is what the way jacob handled it is totally opposite to what the angel said to rebecca for the angel said to rebecca that the younger one that the older one would serve the younger one and that reverse the order hear me right now god is getting ready to reverse the order you you've got to be careful in this season who you walk past because god is getting ready to reverse the order you got to you've got to be careful who you look down on because god is getting ready to reverse the order just because i don't seem like i have it doesn't mean that i'm not about to get it the last shall be first and the tail shall be the head god is about to reverse your honor [Applause] and i admit i've never i never really liked jacob i think jacob was an embarrassment to the family i i always preach jacob from a negative perspective because jacob jacob because of this tricky pull him and his mama got together and scammed the old man out of the birthright she had him dressed like he was hairy she had him change his voice and come into the room an old man couldn't have see and he fooled around and blessed the wrong son or was it the wrong side isn't it funny how god will move whatever he has to move and manipulate whatever he has to manipulate to put you in the place to line you up for what's next in your life and i want to talk to some folk they got a strange testimony i want to talk to some people that weren't born to be what you ended up being but god just kind of started moving things around and switching things up and you ended up someplace and you said i don't even know how i got [Applause] here [Applause] jacob jacob finds himself in a place with his brother that even though he has the birthright it doesn't feel right he has the birthright but it doesn't feel right because esau hated jacob over what happened which put a cloud over the birthright and he also got the blessing and the problem with the blessing is jacob was dying when he gave him the blessing and he gave him the blessing and he told esau i only had one so the jacob that we see in our text has the birthright and the blessing but he hasn't lost the struggle because he has it up under the cloud of is it authentic is it rightfully yours don't don't look confused because some of y'all have some stuff right now that your haters say is not rightfully jacob is still trying to figure out is is this me or is this god is this my manipulation or if or is this divine intervention bear in mind jacob never heard what the angel told his mama so he comes up on the mountaintop and he climbs up on the mountaintop and makes up in his mind i'm not coming down until i feel justified there is nothing more for him to get than the birthright and the blessing the only thing left to get is to authenticate the blessing and only god can do that have you ever gotten into something that let me talk to the folk on the zoo have you ever gotten into something that only god could get no no no y'all ain't real i want to find some people who have prayed the prayer lord if you get me out of this i promise i there's ten people in here ain't pretend lord i if you just get me out of this i promise i will [Applause] jacob is wrestling and wrestling he's been wrestling in the womb he's been wrestling with his brother and now he has gone from wrestling to running he is running from esau because esau is trying to kill him and his mother has to get him out of the house because his brother is trying to kill him you thought you had problems in your family y'all doing good we are about to see the sin of cain and abel repeat itself in jacob and esau that's when your brother tries to kill you because of your blessing you see satan doesn't have any new tricks all he has is old tricks and if you live long enough you start to notice i've seen this before the names have changed but this is the same old devil i had to fight 10 years ago because you're not you're the devil is not a creator he is an imitator [Applause] so he threw his old cane and able trick out until he saw you ought to kill him and jacob had to run blessed but running [Applause] you all didn't get it i'm gonna tell y'all i'm blessed but i'm running i wanna talk to some people that are blessed but you gotta run sometime you gotta run sometime you bless but you gotta keep running cause you know that there's haters back there that if you just trip they will try to destroy every jacob goes from the wrestling jacob to the running jacob and he has been running for years can you imagine running for years or do you have to imagine it maybe you can remember it running for years not feeling authentic for years not knowing whether you are enough for years not knowing whether you have what it takes for years not knowing whether you're really gifted or not for years not knowing if your childhood struggle is over for years i want to talk to some people who have been wrestling and running for years and years and years and even though esau never got you the flight wore you out the trip wore you out the run and wore you out the wrestling wore you out and jacob now comes to the mountaintop saying i want to settle this once and for all i want to settle this once and for all and so he does what he's good at he starts wrestling wrestling again he doesn't really know how to talk to god he's had to wrestle all his life until wrestling has become a pathology note to self do not marry a wrestler because if you marry a wrestle all they know how to do [Laughter] note yourself do not hire a wrestler because if you hire a wrestler all they know how to do is here jacob is with god and he's not praying he's wrestling because the only communication he knows how to make is wrestling if if if the only tool you have is a hammer every problem you see looks like a nail oh you ought to hear what i'm saying see see some of us don't have enough toolbox enough tools in our toolbox to step into our destiny all we have is what we've always had to use and so we fight anything that gets in front of us we had to fight in the womb we had to fight in the house and now we're fighting with god fighting is our love language it's the only way or you ain't gonna say nothing but some of y'all married somebody that fighting is your love language it's the only way we know how to communicate and so jacob was left alone with god and there he wrestled he wrestled with god this text always amazed me because i already know who gonna win the fight what wrestling is there to be done with god and yet god in his infinite grace and wisdom allows jacob to wrestle like you do when a little boy comes up on you and he wants to fight and he starts doing the windmill thing and you grab him by his big head it's not that you couldn't beat him but you just grab him by his big head until he his arms get tired and he calms down that's jacob wrestling with god your arms are too short to wrestle with god you don't have enough strength to wrestle with god you're watching me online right now you ought to be tired of running and wrestling and even when it comes to god you're wrestling with god you're wrestling with the god who gave you the breath you used to fight with who gave you the legs you used to kick with who gave you the strength in your arms you use to fight with do you really think you can win wrestling with god but god knows that jacob is wrestling not with god he's wrestling with himself can i go deeper he's wrestling with himself he's got the birthright he's got the blessing but it doesn't feel right some of y'all got the birthright and you got the blessing but it doesn't feel right you you god can give you a blessing and you can't enjoy it because it don't feel right because you're not sure you're supposed to have it and you don't you don't own the opportunity that god has given you you're in it but you don't own it because it don't feel right and so you wrestle you i talked to a pastor the other day who for years wrestled about getting a building and then he finally got the building built and now he's wrestling about having the building built i said look you can't have it both ways if you're going to be sad with no building you can't be sad with the building you got to decide sooner or later i'm going to be happy about something if you're gonna be oh come on somebody if you're gonna wrestle outside you can't get in and still wrestle you wrestled before you got blessed and now you're blessed and you're still wrestling you wrestled when you were single till you got married and now you're married and you're wrestling and you wrestle him you're married till you get divorced and now you divorce and you're still wrestling with the person you because all you got is a hammer and all of life looks like a nail jacob is with god and god is visiting can't stay because he hasn't been born of a woman [Applause] and he says let me go for the daybreaker jacob says i won't let you go till you bless me wait a minute you already blessed you already have the birthright do you know you can be blessed and not know that the enemy can make you feel in such a way that you don't really know that you have what you got listen at the schizophrenia of their conversation jacob wrestles with the angel but when the angel sees that the day breaketh the angel now says to him let me go for the day breaketh jacob says i won't let you go till you bless me the angel says what is your name who wrote this what does what what does what is my name we had a fight we had a fight me and beanie in a fight and we roll it all over the pulpit and i stop in the middle of the fight and say what is your name wouldn't you think i was pretty stupid to stop in a fight and say the angel asked him who is actually christ and already knows what is your name and he answers i am what they called me i am jacob see see the blessing was in figuring out who he was the the blessing wasn't the boat it wasn't the car it wasn't the house it wasn't the cattle it wasn't the sheep it wasn't the property it wasn't the land it wasn't it wasn't any of that the blessing was do you know who you are [Applause] so i want to ask you this morning do you know who you are [Music] or is your only answer i am what they called me when jacob said i am when he answered i am jacob he was saying i am what they call me i am what they said about me and here lies the problem if you only define yourself by what they say about yourself you will never find yourself and therefore you cannot be yourself because you are living under the curse of the ignorance of people who didn't understand the prophecy that was over your life that's a drop to mike moment right there it [Applause] what is your name in the middle of a fight what does that have to do with anything it has everything to do with it it's how do you see yourself i see myself the way my ex-husband saw me i see myself the way my third great teacher said about me i see myself by my by what my old boss said about me i see myself through the lens of what my old girlfriend said about me what is your name he answers i am what they call me i am jacob that's why you got to be careful what you call your children you can't get so mad at your children that you start calling them all kind of names cause you're just angry for a moment but the name will stick for a lifetime and they will they will walk in the footsteps of what you call them don't let the devil trick you into saying just anything about your child because it will be a self-fulfilling prophecy don't call your daughter a don't call her a don't call her because if you call her that that's what's coming back at you god don't talk to you like that with your broken crazy idiotic self he calls you i am you are the head and not the tail you are above and not beneath you are blessed in the city you are blessed in the field you are blessed in your uprising you are blessed in your down city there are some other things god could bring up that you are but he knows the power of calling you something [Applause] so jacob is struggling trying to end the battle that the birthright didn't fix and the blessing didn't fix because now even outside of the presence of esau he is battling inside like his mother he has two nations warring in his womb like her and jacob you also have two natures fighting inside of you which one is going to rule the older or the younger your first birthday or your newborn birthday so the art is to make the elder your human birth date serve the younger your saved birth date but in order to get the younger to sir get the elder to serve the younger you you have to wrestle because the elder doesn't want to give up his birthright and his control in your life and you here you've been born again but you've got to fight on the inside and so sometimes you got to get away from the crowd you got to hang up the phone you got to shut down facetime you got to shut down facebook you got to shut down everything and get down on your knees and get in the presence of god and try to figure out what is my name what is my name what is my name i am i who touched me what is my name am i who left me am i who fondled me am i who beat me up am i who arrested me am i what the press says i am am i what my enemy what is my name because some kind of way i have always called myself what they call me and even with the birthright and even with the blessing i don't feel blessed because all i can hear and all i answer to is what you call me and when you call me something you're calling me what you expect from me when you call me something you are calling me what you expect from me y'all glad to be back in church [Applause] could it be i'm not sure i'm just asking a question could it be possible that jacob should have been born first but esau fought him out of the first position and god changed the blessing order since the birthing order had been altered could that be why god hated esau could that be why he saw sod repentance with many tears and found it not it's because what he did was to try to disrupt the purpose of god i'm just saying i'm not i'm not saying it is i'm just asking questions whatever it is we have come to this mountain alone to wrestle with god and the first thing he tells jacob is you are not who you think you are your name shall no more be called jacob then the man said your name will no longer be jacob but israel because you have struggled with god and with humans and have overcome israel you're a prince not a not a fighter not a wrestler not a trickster not a con artist not a liar you did some of that now you did it you you did it you did [Applause] you did it but you are not it this is a higher calling [Applause] i press toward the mark of a higher calling i press toward the mark of a higher call on my life than the gravitational pull of my history i press toward the higher call of my destiny i'm moving towards something that that you may not even see in me i i'm a prince without a palace i'm a prince without a throne i'm a prince without a princess i'm a prince i'm a prisoner don't look like it riding on this donkey but i'm a prince you don't treat me like it but i am wrestling with god to find out what is in me and he smote him at his hip joint and jacob never screamed and he never yelled he just comes hopping down off the mountain he never cried out he never hollered you know why it is worth the struggle it is worth whatever the struggle was to find out who you are and what you got and what you can do and what you can be and jacob comes down off israel israel israel israel comes down jacob israel jacob and israel jacob israel jacob israel comes down he he's limping of the mountaintop that the only one leg only one leg the jacob league is the only one part of him is limited it's wounded jacob will never recover full strength because israel the shuttle yeah yeah yeah yeah what what god smoked was the the jacob's side it it it got smoke oh y'all don't want to fool with me i feel like i feel i feel like preaching i feel like preaching but what god smoked is that jacob said he he hit the part of me that was controlling me and knocked it out of joint so it wouldn't have the power that it used to have in my life [Music] [Applause] so jacob israel all throughout the rest of his life the names interchange back and forth all the way to the grave sometimes in the same sins one moment they call him jacob the next moment they call him israel because he still has a jacob background but he has an israel future hey i feel like he y'all didn't get that if y'all got that y'all would tear this place up somebody in here trying to act like you don't understand you know you still got that jacob background but you got that israel future and you're just dragging that jacob you just dragging that jacob come on jacob come over we're going this way we're not going that way we're going this way he comes down off the mountain daybreak has come the night fight is over every fight he ever had was a night fight fighting in the womb fighting in the dark he's had night fights anybody had night fights went to bed tired woke up tired night fights night fights night fights i want some real saints that can talk to me about some night fights three o'clock in the morning and you're having a night fight 4 15 and you're just looking at the clock you up you don't even know why you up what jacob in israel is having a fight at four o'clock in the morning and it's been a night fight and it was more than time because weeping can only endure for a night enjoy enjoy coming in the morning and what what is important if you give me a minute what's important for you to see is this both of them came down off the mountain but one of them had been smote and jacob never fully recovered his strength in israel's life [Applause] [Music] there are some things that are still there but they're nowhere near like they used to be because god has smoked the hip joints and you're walking with a limp because of what you've been through and where you came from and how you had to wrestle with god and you had to wrestle with man but you're still moving forward that's why you prevailed because you've been through hell but you're still moving forward you're crying all night but you're still moving forward you're lonely half the time but you're still moving forward and god gave you a limp to show the world that you're a fighter you've been with god and the first person he runs into when he gets to the bottom of the mountain is esau that which he has been running from he is now ready to confront [Music] [Applause] and he comes he comes limping down off the mountain to say i'm not scared of you no more i'm not gonna run from you no more because i found out who i am and i know who i am and i know what i can be and i know what i can do and i know where i can go and i know what he's done in my life and i know that i have a destiny and i know that what's in front of me is greater than what is behind me and i know that nations shall come out of my body that my twelve sons shall become the twelve tribes of israel and out of the 12 tribes of israel shall come the lion of the tribe of judah and i know who i am you can't mess with me because of what god put down inside of me i now realize what a birthright really is and by the way you ain't got no blessing to give me no way i've already been blessed i've been blessed by god i've been called by god i've been directed by god i've been sent by god i got the anointing of god i got the word of god i got the power of god [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] the lord told me to tell you to stop struggling with what he's given you [Applause] to stop feeling unworthy of what he's given you just stop wrestling with what he's about to release in your life the lord told me to tell you to stop feeling ashamed because of the mistakes of your past regarding what he's about to do in your life right now the lord told me to tell you that the blessing is rightfully yours it is rightfully yours somebody holler is rightfully mine so i'm going to be bold in it i'm going to stand up in it i'm going to walk in it i'm going to live in it because today i realized that if god would have wanted esau on the mountain he would have put esau on the mountain if god would have wanted to give he saw the blessing he would have given he saw the blessing if god would have wanted esau to have it he would he would have given it to him and he would have never allowed the trick to work in his life but god chose me i may showed up late but he chose me i may have got pushed aside but he chose me i may have had to fight all of my life but he chose me somebody just reach up and snatch it and say it's rightfully mine it's rightful in my peace is rightfully mine joy is rightfully my victory is rightfully mine to be happy is rightfully mine to walk in the fullness is right it's rightfully it's rightfully i suffered for it i fought for it i crawled for it i cried for it i wrestled for it [Applause] [Music] i need 30 seconds of crazy praise i need 15 seconds of somebody that will praise god like you lost your mind praise god like you don't care anymore praise god with your lip praise god through your pain praise god through your struggle praise god through your fight hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah i'm through running i'm through hiding and through duncan i'm through dodging here somebody shout it's mine it's my saddest mind it's rightful am i destroyed this peace this power this life this anointing this strength this gift this house this car this whites these kids these kids these kids these kids these doors these opportunities who do they belong to whose are they whose are they who's are they who's on it who's who's the homeowner who's the head who's above who overcomes who survives who's blessed it's mine it's mine it's mine [Music] [Applause] [Music] so they came down off the mountain and he faced off with esau they had a they will never fully recover their strength oh yeah you'll always have a limp when it rains it might hurt [Music] you might not show up as fast as people who haven't been through what you've been through but god fixed it so that jacob can't stop israel from getting where he's trying to go the reason he did it is because it's rightfully yours you may run with drug dealers but you are not one of them you may be abusing substance but you are not what you're taking you're bigger than the life you're living and the people you've been laying with because you were born for a purpose and even though you hurt some time it's time for you to step into your destiny and step into your legacy and step into your dynasty god loves you israel god loves you jacob when jacob was dying the bible said that the jacob was dying and israel sat up in the bed and strengthened himself and he blessed all his sons before he said goodbye and when joseph brought to him his two sons manessa and ephraim to be blessed jacob crossed his hands because he knew what it was to be the guy in the background and he saw joseph trying to maneuver one to the front and he said no no no no no i've already seen that trick before and i'm old enough now to cross my hands to make sure who's supposed to get the blessing gets the blessing you can't politicize god's favor [Applause] what god has got for you [Applause] [Music] it's for you if you receive it right now if you let him into your heart if you let him into your spirit if you let him into your story if you let him into your life if you let him wrestle you till you wear out and you surrender he'll give you your new name you need a new name some of you need a new name in your own house with your own family they don't think they can count on you they don't think they can trust you they don't they don't think you'll ever do anything they'll amount to anything god wants to give you a new name you're not jacob your name is israel jacob is what they call you i call you a prince and if you receive him he'll come into your heart let's pray right now i feel an anointing to pray for backsliders and sinners coming back to christ to this moment right now right now you've drifted away and you've been acting out what they called you what they said about you what they did to you where they touched you how they handled you you've been living beneath your privilege but today you're coming into your destiny and moving away from your history you'll always limp a little bit but you're about to move forward because god is calling you somewhere you've never been let's pray together father in the name of jesus for every soul that's saying yes for every tear that falls for every heart that surrenders for every mind that surrenders to the designates and the dictates of the holy spirit come in and rescue them right now fill them with your presence and your word wash them in your blood and forgive them of their sins and though they may limp a little bit i pray that from this moment forward they'd never be the same again while i'm praying let me pray for church folks who have already got the birthright they already got the blessing but they're afraid to to really trust it sometimes it doesn't seem real help them to know that it is rightfully mine let me pray for the people that you got blessings that you're about to unleash in their lives that are mind-blowing considering what they've been through and where they came from and what they've been up against and how they've been fighting all of their life they can't hardly believe it [Music] help them to receive this message as a prophecy [Music] that what you're about to release is rightfully mine [Music] i surrender to you i say yes to you in jesus name right where you are trying to add some comfort to the chaos because times come and they go but whatever god told you to do don't you drop it don't you drop it you might not get to do it like you used to do it but you gotta hold on you know why cause it's right full of mud [Music] is [Music] we're going to get through this as a nation as a generation universally as a community specifically as an individual personally no matter how dark things have gotten or who you lost or how you cried or how you suffered or what you're going through just be consistent with what you've got left because god will never use what you lost to bless you he will always use what you got left as i dismiss you i want you to go out of here i'm into yourself it's rightful of mine it's mine and i'm gonna rest in it and i'm
