Bibles of second Timothy to second Timothy chapter 2 2nd Timothy chapter 2 verse 15 and let's open briefly in a word of Prayer father thank you for this time we pray Lord that this time would be used for your glory help us to set aside our own opinions and traditions and instead believe what you have written it's in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ we pray amen 2nd Timothy 2:15 is an explicit command to study the scriptures it says study to show thyself approved unto God a workman that needeth not to be ashamed rightly dividing the word of truth now let's just take it apart and make sure we understand what's being said there so it first says study to show thyself approved unto God meaning that if you don't study what is likely to be the case you won't be approved unto God and it then says a workman that needeth not to be ashamed so as you think about that one verse that may come to mind get 1st Corinthians 3 1st Corinthians chapter 3 now in 1st Corinthians chapter 3 we see some verses that talk about the judgment seat of Christ and if you look at verse 13 every man's work shall be made manifest for the day shall declare it because it shall be revealed by fire and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is so you see a connection then between 2nd Timothy 2:15 study to show thyself approved unto God a workman that needeth not to be ashamed and first corinthians 3 the judgment seat of christ where the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is and then as you look at the last part of 2nd Timothy 2:15 it talks about rightly dividing the word of truth now let me put it this way every thinking person is a dispensationalist everyone and the reason I say that is maybe you have I've never met anyone today that was actually building an ark because they felt they needed to because of a flood that all kinds of people within Christendom with all sorts of different ideas never met anyone that was building an ark because they all recognized that was meant for Noah and is not meant for us today never have I met anyone today that thinks they need to offer an animal sacrifice for their sins they just don't think that but are there verses in the Bible that say to do that there are but what happens is people understand those verses are not written to us today so I'm gonna simply make that point then every thinking person everyone that's not crazy is a dispensationalist the the issue the discussion point is where you make the divisions but every thinking person has to be a dispensationalist you shouldn't build an ark today you shouldn't offer an animal sacrifice for your sins everyone gets that and the question is some of the finer points and what I'll start with I'll start with with this the thing where most of Christendom gets confused yet Ephesians 3 if you would most of Christendom gets confused because they do not understand the Ministry of the Apostle Paul and what is typically thought frankly is this well Peter the twelve are doing their thing Paul is persecuting the church he's a rebel he gets saved on the road to Damascus and then Paul does exactly what Peter was doing that is the conventional thinking of Christendom that Paul comes along a little later but his ministry is identical it's the same as Peters and what I want to show you in Ephesians 3 let's just spend a little bit of time here what Ephesians 3 does is it establishes beyond question that Paul had new information okay now let's see if that's true I made that assertion Ephesians 3 is going to show that Paul has new information let's see if that's true Ephesians 3:1 for this cause i paul the prisoner of jesus christ for you gentiles if he have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which has given me to you word you will commonly hear if you haven't already that dispensationalism was invented in the 1800s that Scofield and Darby and some other folks got together and they made up this theological system that never existed beforehand and if that was true if it was truly invented in the 1800s then obviously it's garbage but of course the fact the matter is it wasn't invented in the 1800s there were simply some folks that gave it more notoriety more public attention if you read that verse how long as dispensationalism been around I mean since Paul wrote the letter to the Ephesians right it wasn't invented in the 1800s what has happened is Christendom has largely ignored it for most of its history but was it always there it was always there so what is verse to say about the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me so if that verse is true which it is then the dispensation of the grace of God was given to Paul and then notice what the last part of the verse says was given me to you word it wasn't given to Paul as a keepsake so he could put in a safe-deposit box and just hold on to it and say wow this is neat it was given a Paul to distribute to preach to mankind notice verse 3 how that by revelation so let me just ask you a question did Paul need revelation from God the Father to know what Peter was teaching what was Paul doing when he was on the road to Damascus why was he going to Damascus he was going to Damascus for the purpose of persecuting the church was he persecuting the Kingdom Church because he didn't like Jewish people Paul was a Jew right so he wasn't persecuting the church because he didn't like Jewish people he was persecuting the Kingdom Church because of their doctrine right because of what they believed about Jesus Christ Ephesians 3:3 says that Paul received this information by revelation well that tells you that mere fact demonstrates that Paul must have received information different from Peter because he didn't need revelation to tell him what Peter was doing he already knew that he was well aware of the doctrine that Peter was preaching that's the reason he was on the road to Damascus you see the point now look at the rest of verse 3 how that by revelation he made known unto me the what the mystery so keep Ephesians 3 but get first corinthians to keep ephesians 3 but get first corinthians 2 1st corinthians 2 is going to give you the Bible definition of what a mystery is 1st Corinthians 2 verse 7 but we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery notice how it then says even the hidden wisdom the way that's phrase there it's telling you that the meaning of what a mystery is is that it's hidden wisdom that's the definition so now go back to Ephesians 3 so what Paul says in verse 3 how that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery and we know that a mystery is equivalent to what hidden wisdom well that means God made known to Paul he revealed to Paul some wisdom that before the time it was revealed what was it hidden well if that's the case was Paul preaching the exact same thing as Peter he couldn't have been because scripture specifically says the the mystery that was revealed to him before that time it was hidden so it couldn't have been something that Peter was preaching look at verse five which in other ages was not made known now that verse doesn't say which and other ages was not understood it says it was not made known well if God didn't make it known is it even possible that man knew it no because it was hidden it hadn't yet been revealed look at verse 6 so we saw the mystery in verse three so we'll X let's back up so verse two talks about the dispensation of grace verse three describes it as a mystery and then if you look at the first word of verse 6 CL says that this is the definition of what the mystery is that the Gentiles should be fellow heirs and of the same body now keep Ephesians 3 but get Matthew 15 Christendom is fascinated with the idea of the words of Jesus Christ being in red letters because if you put the words of Christ in red letters then you're calling out to everyone's attention the most important words there are and I just encourage you to think about that because scripture says man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God so are the things that God the Father said in the Old Testament less important than the red letters are the things that Paul writes less important than the red letters is second Peter less important than the red letters and I would tell you that's none of that makes any sense it says man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God so get with me Matthew 15 and look with me at verse 22 and behold a woman of Canaan so that is a Gentile woman came out of the same coasts and cried unto him saying have mercy on me O Lord thou son of David my daughter is grievously vexed with the devil notice what the Lord does verse 23 but he answered her not a word and his disciples came and besought him saying send her away for she crieth after us but he answered and said I am NOT sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel in other words he can't help the woman of canaan because he's not sent to her verse 25 then came she and worshiped him saying lord help me but he answered and said it is not meat it's not proper it's not appropriate to take the children's bread and to cast it to dogs now let's just make sure we understand what verse 26 is saying what the Lord said regarding the woman of Canaan is that she was a Gentile dog that in other words for him to take the blessings that were intended for Israel and to give them to the woman of Canaan would be the equivalent of taking the children's bread and casting it to who the dogs and that's why he wouldn't do it notice verse 27 and she said truth Lord yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their master's table then jesus answered and said unto her o woman great as thy faith be it unto thee even as thou wilt and her daughter was made whole from that very hour so let's understand what's going on in that passage as you think about time past there is a distinction between Israel and Gentiles if you read Ephesians 2 Gentiles are without hope in the world there are aliens from the Commonwealth of Israel there are strangers from the covenants of promise is there a very sharp distinction between Israel and Gentiles in time past there is the condition of Gentiles is described as being without hope that's why in Matthew 15 when the woman of Canaan and by the way Matthew 15 is before the cross making it Old Testament doctrinally and we can talk about that more if you want but that is Old Testament information when the woman of Canaan comes to him the Lord Jesus Christ described her as a Gentile dog now let's just state the obvious did Jesus Christ ever sin it's not possible right so when he called her a Gentile dog that must have been one 100% true and it must have been consistent with being loving as well because he never did anything that was unkind so when he did that he was saying something that was absolutely perfectly true and she needed to hear it what she does in that verse in that passage is she says truth Lord wait what you said is true but as a Gentile dog I can eat crumbs that fall from the master's table it's very similar to Genesis 12:3 where what God says to Abraham is that in thee shall all nations of the earth be blessed she realized she wasn't part of Israel but she understood she could be blessed through Israel and the moment she acknowledges that the Lord says done now go back to Ephesians three verse six Ephesians three first six that the Gentiles should be fellow heirs now as the fusions three six the same thing as Matthew 15 I mean you realize how starkly different those are the Gentile woman in Matthew 15 was not a fellow error but in fee in Ephesians 3:6 Paul describes the Gentiles as fellow heirs how can that be well what happened is what happened to Israel is that Israel fell and Israel diminished and so what is the case during the dispensation of grace is that today Jews and Gentiles are fellow heirs that was not the case in time past but that is the case today you're in Ephesians 3 get verse 7 where have I was made a minister according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power unto me who am less than the least of All Saints is this grace given that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ now in verse 8 Paul says that he is going to preach among the Gentiles you may remember this but what does Jesus Christ say in Matthew 10 when he sends out the twelve well let's go there get Matthew 10 and John 5 Matthew 10 and John 5 Matthew 10 verse 5 these twelve Jesus sent forth and commanded them saying go not into the way of the Gentiles and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not but go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel so when the twelve are sent out by the Lord he specifically says do not go to the Gentiles in Ephesians 3:8 Paul says that the grace was given unto him to do what to preach among the Gentiles where the ministry in the twelve in the ministry of Peter the same excuse me the ministry the twelve in the ministry of Paul were those the same they're not the instructions given to them were completely different now notice John five John chapter five John chapter five when we were looking in Ephesians three verse eight it mentioned the unsearchable riches of Christ so I want to think about that for a minute let's start by looking at John five in John 5 the Lord is dealing with some folks that do not believe what he's teaching them and he's dealing with some folks that are that are Jews notice what he says in John 5:39 search the Scriptures for in them you think he have eternal life and they are they which testify of me now let's just take this apart for a minute when the Lord says search the Scriptures what is he referring to what books has to be the Old Testament right the other books the New Testament hadn't been written there so when John five is occurring it's right here before the cross well obviously Matthew Mark Luke and John hadn't been written acts hadn't been nothing else had been written so when the Lord says search the Scriptures he clearly means the Old Testament and what he says to the the Jews that he's dealing with search the Scriptures and he means the Old Testament for in them you think he have eternal life he was dealing with some folks that thought they were justified on the basis of the Old Testament okay and then what he says to them is they are they which testify of me in other words here's what he's saying you guys claim to believe the Old Testament you claim you're justified on that basis but search it because if you search it you know what conclusion you will reach they testify of me in other words if you read the Old Testament it will tell you the Messiah is going to be from the tribe of Judah he'll be from the house of Jesse he'll be from the line of David he'll be born in Bethlehem he'll be born to a virgin he'll be betrayed by a friend for thirty pieces of silver and there's prophecy after prophecy after prophecy after prophecy one for instance is this how did the wise men know to show up when they did because they read the Old Testament the fact that the wise men showed up tells you that anyone else could have showed up but it would have required reading the Old Testament to understand when the Messiah would come okay so here's the point in Ephesians or in in John 5:39 the whole essence of the Lord's argument is this you guys claim to believe the Old Testament but you really don't because if you did and you searched it what conclusion would you reach you would reach the conclusion that I'm the son of God that was prophesied in the Old Testament contrast that with what Paul said in Ephesians 3:8 I'll preach the unsearchable riches of Christ so what is the prefix on mean not so if something is unsearchable it is not searchable and the reason Paul's revelation is not searchable in the Old Testament is it was a mystery it was hidden wisdom it wasn't revealed until the dispensation of grace was given to Paul in other words you can read Genesis through Malachi you can read Matthew Mark Luke and John and you will not find one hint one clue one indication of the mystery revealed appalled now get Ephesians 3:9 now I don't know how you get around any of that but look at Ephesians 3:9 and to make all men see what is the Fellowship of the mystery now notice what this says which from the beginning of the world have been hid in God now you're gonna tell me that Paul was preaching the same thing as John the Baptist or Isaiah or Jeremiah or David or anyone over here Peter what does that verse specifically say from the beginning of the world it was hitting God so who knows it no one can know it until God decides to reveal it I mean just think about this is man smart enough to figure out things that God has hidden I mean you realize that's an absurd statement right so if it was hitting God it stayed hid until he decided to reveal it and according to this chapter who did he reveal it to Paul so what all of that tells you is simply this Ephesians three establishes beyond any question that Paul had new information not previously known that single fact is earth-shattering that tells you that when Christendom takes the Ministry of Peter and takes the Ministry of Paul and combines them together it's combining two things that are different they are not the same let me show you well let's just do this real quick so I'm going to go back through Ephesians three just notice this so verse three says I Paul verse two the dispensation of grace was given me Paul verse three he got it by revelation that means it wasn't known before verse three it's a mystery that means it's hidden wisdom verse five in other ages it was not made known verse eight it's unsearchable verse nine from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God I mean how many times does the chapter have to tell you that it was hidden and not revealed before you believe it so let me show you something here if I could here's what the chart would look like if you stood in acts 8 and you drew the chart in other words think of it this way in acts 8 as stephen is about to be stoned if someone said what does the timeline of history look like that's the answer in other words you can stand in acts 8 and if someone says tell me everything you know about the dispensation of grace tell me everything there is to know about the revelation of mystery what would be the answer there's nothing to say because it hadn't been revealed so today we can of course look back on time we have Paul's revelation and we can we can understand that this exists but it was not something that was understood prior to it being being revealed to the Apostle Paul get with me Hebrews chapter 9 when any of you were children did did any of you have any of those little benches where there would be different holes in the benches and one of them was a circle shaped and one of them was a square and one of them was a star and then you have little blocks and you can put the blocks in but obviously the star block only fixed in the star-shaped hole and then the circle one fit you you've seen those right what happens if you take you know the square shaped block and you try to put it into the circle well it won't fit what if you just decide well you know that doesn't seem to fit well what I need is a hammer right if I just hit that hard enough I'll force that in does that sound like something workmen like or is that just dumb and what most of Christendom is doing is they're taking things that do not fit together because they are different and forcing them to be one right when Paul says that the Gentiles are fellow heirs and the Lord Himself calls the Gentile woman a dog to pretend those two things are the same as madness you're it is disrespect to God's Word to try to massage those and make them the same look with me at Hebrews 9 verse 15 and for this cause he is the mediator of the New Testament the he and verse 15 is Christ in verse 14 and for this cause he is the mediator of the New Testament that by means of death for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first Testament they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance for where a testament is there must also of necessity be the death of the testator for a testament is of force after men are dead otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth so the word Testament is what we commonly say today is we either use the phrase last will and testament or we simply use the term will but you all understand what that is right a last will and testament is the document that you use to specify what happens to your property at your death right you decide what goes where now let me ask you this question when does the last will and testament take effect when you die right prior to that it doesn't take effect prior to that you can revise it anytime you want you can revoke it you can execute a codicil and so on who's the mediator of the New Testament according to verse 15 jesus christ jesus christ is the mediator of the new testament which means the new testament cannot possibly begin before the cross can it because that's when the death of the testator occurs when you read Matthew Mark Luke and John are Matthew Mark Luke and John about information on this side of the cross or this side of the cross they're clearly about the events before the cross right they start with his birth talks about his life talks about his earthly ministry you get to the cross at the very end of the Gospels what that tells you is this Matthew Mark Luke and John doctrinally our Old Testament books they have to be because they contain information that is before the death of the testator now what happens is this and you know that's just how it is but when you turn to Matthew 1 you don't have to turn there I'll show you something that you already know what happens when you turn one page over for Matthew 1 oh there's this title page aha we're in the New Testament it told me well just to state the obvious every word of Scripture is true the collateral or ancillary things that men add to the Word of God may or may not be I don't know if you've ever done this but um go home take a look at all the study Bibles you have what do most study Bibles do when they have a map of the Exodus yeah look at this what most study Bibles will do is they will have a map of the Exodus and they will have the children of Israel going around the Red Sea so what do you do is the book of Exodus right or is the map in the back right well Exodus is right God parted the Red Sea and they went through the middle of it the problem is the people that made the maps just didn't believe what Exodus set right well same thing here with this New Testament page the the folks that created are trying to be helpful but when there's a conflict between something that men add to the Word of God and what the Word of God says which one is right the Word of God is right not the things that men add to that so hopefully you can see that the New Testament does not start over here the New Testament can't start until after the cross now get with me give me Hebrews 8 a related issue that it would be good to cover is so are we now under the New Covenant and some folks think that we are but let's let's read what Hebrews 8 says Hebrews 8 8 for finding fault with them he saith behold the days come saith the lord when i will make a new covenant with the house of israel and with the house of judah now instead of changing what that verse says does the new covenant have anything to do with gentiles during the dispensation of grace i mean god specific I'm going to make the New Covenant and I'm going to make it with Israel and Judah that has nothing to do with Gentiles look at verse 9 not according to the covenant that i made with their fathers whose the their fathers in the day when i took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of egypt well you know what that is that's the exodus that's obviously israel because they continued not in my covenant and i regarded them not saith the lord see verses 8 and 9 make it absolutely clear that the new covenant is not made with gentiles it is made with israel now notice verse 10 for this is the covenant that i will make hebrews is one of the last books of the Old Testament of the New Testament that's written in other words there's a bunch of books that are written earlier in time than Hebrews verse 10 there says that I will make in other words that's future let's keep reading then I will make with the house of Israel after those days saith the Lord I will put my laws into their mind and write them in their hearts and I will be to them a god and they shall be to me a people and I just based upon that verse has the New Covenant already been put into effect has God already written his laws on Israel's hearts is Israel today in belief largely or unbelief unbelief so are God's laws written on their hearts plainly not look at verse 13 in that he saith a new covenant he hath made the first old now that which decayeth and waxeth old is what ready to vanish away well let me ask you this if something is ready to vanish away what has it not done it hasn't vanished away right so has the Old Covenant gone away today no because the New Covenant isn't established until the second coming so look at verse 10 again just in case you have questions about that for this is the Covenant that I will make this is what the new covenant is with the house of Israel after those days saith Lord I will put my laws into their mind he hasn't done that yet I know that people sometimes get all excited about 1948 and they think that when many Jews physically return to Israel and there's the modern birth of the nation-state that they view that as the fulfillment of prophecy you can decide for yourself but I'll tell you my opinion on that you live during the time of the mystery not during the time of prophecy right I would not look for prophecy to be fulfilled during the mystery here's why I would say that was the dispensation of grace of mystery yes or no yes it was on the authority of Ephesians three verses two and three was it hidden God yes on the áfourá T of Ephesians 3:9 so let me ask you this did God throughout the Old Testament say I got a secret I can't tell you but I sort of got a secret but I can't this it's for later is that what he did did he have just like little hints all over the place cuz he was just bursting with excitement and he couldn't help but let it out I mean that's what men do right in other words they've got a secret they're not supposed to share but it's just bubbling inside them and so they got to give these hints and then force you to tell them is that what God did no so here's my point things that are prophesied in time past have to be fulfilled over here on the prophetic calendar and not during the dispensation of grace because otherwise that would have given away the existence of the dispensation of grace everything prophesied in time past is going to be fulfilled on the prophetic calendar not during the dispensation of grace alright get with me if you would second Corinthians chapter 3 now I'll show you something here and this is a fascinating thing the let me ask you this question is Paul ever say that he's a minister of the New Covenant he doesn't he never does that and the New Covenant in Hebrews 8 we saw was with whom Israel and Judah Paul is the apostle of who possible Gentiles so if Paul's the apostle of the Gentiles and the New Covenant is made with Israel and Judah it would be sort of weird if Paul was a minister of the New Covenant wouldn't it now if you look at 2nd Corinthians chapter 3 2nd Corinthians chapter 3 verse 6 I want you to notice something verse 5 not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think anything as of ourselves but our sufficiency is of God who also hath made us able ministers now notice what it says of the New Testament not of the letter but of the spirit for the letter killeth killeth but the spirit giveth life Paul never says that he's enable minister of the New Covenant he does say he's an able minister of the New Testament and I'm going to show you how those two are different things by the way some of the modern versions will change this and they will change it so that Paul says in 2nd Corinthians 3:6 that he's enabled minister of the New Covenant we can't be an able minister the New Covenant because the New Covenant is with who with Israel and Judah and Paul the apostle of the Gentiles so that just doesn't make any sense so how do we address this let me clear this up a covenant is a contract in other words a covenant involves more than one party do you remember how when we were in Hebrews eight they talked about the new covenant with Israel and Judah in other words it was God entering into a covenant with someone else with Israel and Judah a last will and testament a testament how many people are parties to a last will and testament one right whatever you want to do with your stuff you sign a last will and testament you don't have to have someone else agree with it do you it's your choice so here's what I'm gonna suggest to you what God the Father did the Old Covenant was made with Israel and Judah the new covenant is made with Israel and Judah the cross purchased that new covenant but the cross also accomplished something else that was a secret look at me at first Corinthians chapter 2 first Corinthians chapter 2 we were here earlier to see verse 7 let's look at verse 8 for endless turn verse 7 first Corinthians 2:7 but we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery even the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the world unto our glory that sounds a lot like Ephesians 3 doesn't it now notice what verse 8 says which none of the princes of this world knew that's not talking about Charles and Andrew that is talking about the evil principalities and powers in heavenly places which none of the princes of this will do for had they known it they would not have crucified the Lord of glory in Luke 22 right before the betrayal of the Lord what does Satan do he enters into Judas right Luke 22 verse 3 Satan was 100% in favor of the cross right now think about this with me when Satan does that to Satan know about the resurrection yes because Christ earlier said destroy this temple and three days that will raise it up in fact just let's look at it this way when Satan does that all of this right here has been revealed none of that is a secret the resurrection was known about the kingdom was known about the New Covenant was known about that's written in Jeremiah so when Satan enters into Judas to bring about the betrayal of the Lord Jesus Christ Satan knows all of this and is still in favor of it but what first Corinthians 2 says is there was a mystery that was hidden that's this and remarkably what verse 8 says if Satan had known about this what would he have not done he would not have crucified the Lord of glory so let me make a quick point here in the time I have left Genesis 1:1 in the beginning God created the heaven and the earth what's God's plan - to administer the earth forever the nation of Israel what's God's plan for the heaven the body of Christ so if you put yourself in acts 8 and let's just think about how Satan would think about this for a minute if you're in acts 8 God created all the angels he was ever gonna create in Genesis 1 at the end of Genesis 1 what did he do he rested angels do not have the ability to reproduce and create other angels there's some things that go on in Genesis 6 with mankind but angels cannot reproduce with other angels which means Genesis 1 God created all the angels he was ever going to create the angels can't create any new angels is there ever a time in scripture where angels are given a second chance there's not in fact if you read Hebrews to the Lord Jesus Christ took upon himself the nature of man and paid for man's sins he never did that for angels so if you had those facts together you you're left with this angels that fell do not have a second chance so when Satan in acts 8 looked at the universe he would have thought the following God has a plan for the earth that's more than obvious he started to reveal that through Abraham he subsequently has revealed what he's going to do with Israel I understand his plan to try to take back the earth but what's fascinating is there's not one word anywhere in there about what God's gonna do to take back to heavens and so what Satan reasonably would have thought is he's not creating new angels no one has died for the sins of these angels the leading ones are on my team they've rebelled and followed me I'm a loser but you know what I have I've got heaven so Satan is in favor the cross and then in the middle of acts so little known verse Satan says oops but what does first Corinthians 2 say if if Satan had known the mystery if he had understood that the body of Christ would be formed as a result of the cross it was a secret then and the body of Christ would replace Satan and his minions he wouldn't been in favor of it let me put it this way we'll close Satan rebels in early Genesis right God lets him continue to exist doesn't throw them into the lake of fire for for thousands of years why does he suddenly throw him out of heaven in the midst of the 70th week in Revelation 12 and I'm gonna suggest you the reason why is this what God does during the dispensation of grace is he selects the people who are going to be the replacement for Satan his angels he selects them because they choose to have faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ when they do that the body of Christ at the catching up God gives them what kind of body spiritual body that can function in heavenly places they go through the judgment seat of Christ and they receive their rewards their assignments for eternity so what God has done then is he's if you will selected and hired the new people he's equipped them trained him given their assignments and he turns to Michael and says we don't need him anymore get Satan and his angels out of here and Michael does that and hopefully that gives you some clarity about what the body of Christ does see when you get saved today God forgives all your sins they're paid with you can't lose your salvation you have eternal security but what God has done this is just amazing he's placed you into the body of Christ and the body of Christ is God's mechanism his church his vehicle for administering the heavens for his glory for all eternity that is the future destiny the future purpose of the body of Christ now if instead what you do is you say well Paul is just preaching the same thing as Peter do you realize what madness that is because everything Peter is about is an earthly Kingdom and that just has nothing nothing nothing to do with you or your eternal destiny okay let's pause there and we'll pick back up at 11:00 probably God thank you for your word we thank you for all that you've done for the body of Christ we thank you for the mystery and we just pray that each day we would have a better understanding of it we pray these things in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ amen
