professional skateboarder i used to hit the concrete all the time right and when i would get hurt skateboarding i would be mad at me okay each and every time and i'd far be like god you [ __ ] grab that skateboard take it out on that bam bam smash it blame everybody in sight you know what when i get hurt i get angry just like everybody in this category angry take a look [Music] vicious that today is a skateboarding prodigy a mega ramp superstar the youngest competitor in the history of the x games give it up for jagger eaton yeah man yeah what do you think of the big stage man it's a lot of beautiful people here it's nothing for you i mean let's be real like when did you first jump the mega ramp for the very first time my first full pole when i got the ramp and hit the quarter was when i was nine years old nine years old i just wanted to put into context like i've been attacked by sharks and flipped cars and jockey horses and got attacked by a line and all this stuff i could not get myself to jump the mega ramp yeah he did it at nine years old let's take a look at uh young jagger on the mega ramp from the x games look at this look at this full backflip later whoa oh don't stop spinning now [Music] give it up for jagger this first category is dedicated to people trying to go for it but not even coming close we like to call it mega dumps [Applause] it looked like he was going for a backflip when he defied the laws of physics right in the middle of the air and trying to do a front flip and what'd he do he just went face first into dirt get there get there never stop i would consider that a make that was actually pretty cool you got it this is midwest wealth right i got the trampoline and i got the above ground pool sail it send it is that an escape convict that helps him at the end look at that okay all right and borrow your bikes real fast [Laughter] and just go straight you're fine you're fine if you go straight oh gosh man get there oh [Applause] okay it just looks fun yeah it's dangerous i don't know who who allowed this to happen or this crowd of people haven't but he almost lands like literally 150 feet later and 80 feet high later on to a group of dudes partying yeah river life there you have it for megadumps well jagger wouldn't you consider yourself i mean you're a full-fledged full-scale epitome of the american dream yes or no yes i feel like you know i mean like let's be real here at nine years old you jumped the mega ramp yeah at nine i was probably like still peeing in the bed a little bit yeah we're out here sucking thumbs at nine what are you doing at night i i think i will like stop sucking my thumb around nine okay well i tell you what there's a ton of kids out here looking to be like you but they're just not we call them correct yeah okay let's take a look at the triple 360 flip with a bit of a 720 in it that only chris cole can do [Applause] okay we've dedicated a category to very uncold triple flips three times the in your career there was there was this one time i was like a little kid and i was skating on the carpet board was like way longer than my legs were and i land in pogo and it's just i'm perfectly balanced feet like chanel's off the ground and i'm like reaching for the couch to pull myself over that was that was a bad one now did you try to run away from that pain i watch a lot of people run from the pain but i know it's just going to be there it's in here really yeah there's no running away from this here's the thing about pain you can't run from it cause it ain't going anywhere the faster you go the faster it goes escape your pain just like this go just go just go leave him down here hold both sides hold both sides oh yeah this trail is so much fun to bike on you want to know what i i think i'm just going to run this trail here we go riding children's toys really fast and there you go oh it's a one-legged pain skip oh i'm out of here no i'm fine you want to know what you career i'm going to tell you where that comes from it's like what after the first one was like no i'm gonna do this like i gotta see this right and then the next one like no i'm gonna jump out of the helicopter i'm there i'm gonna say i know i'm gonna jump over i'm gonna jump off the hard rock hotel let me get there what about here what about further didn't you jump over the great wall of china oh it thank you the actual world record one is real dodgy that's the most your arms have ever gone it was dice he is like it wasn't the smoothest attempt yet so high then he's like he starts to roll the windows up a little bit before he makes it sometimes you got to roll the windows up you know man this first category is dedicated to the idea of big air something that you took to a whole other level only it's called big air holes people that didn't quite do it the right way take a look let it freedom [Applause] he didn't do the math on that one okay look at the ramp design i don't even think he's gave up look how you fell asleep in the air [Applause] okay first of all look how high this guy is such another level remember when he's got a helmet okay you're smart because the two fat people blobbing you up is going to put you seven feet high [Music] on face face face turn there you have it super blopping big air holes people okay we did an episode of the fantasy factory together where i actually pulled you on a skateboard to break the land speed record it was pretty damn incredible okay now i don't know if what your memories of it are exactly but mine was that i could kill you right would have made a great episode i'm glad we got through it but i'm glad we didn't have to drive to the hospital go ahead let's do it how fast are we going 30 40 50 60. yeah 74. and i was just like a couple of friends just out on a track uh you know trying to break some world records right and it's inspired this category called tug buddies take a look [Music] he could have bailed out at any time but this is what happens when you're watching your friend about to take a catastrophic slam you slam too watch this okay we got some footage of you breaking your tailbone tell me what that's like that's never happened to me probably the worst thing to break because there is nothing you could do about it and you can't even sit all right let's take a look at bam breaking his tailbone pop what happened a tailbone is seriously broken okay look at that that's a real pain right there okay right after that happened i had to get on a five-hour flight and i'm sitting next to this businessman like pucker up and you can't walk oh this disappears behind the ball it is vanished oh oh i can't even count how many times that's happened to me okay got a great idea i'm gonna jump this can oh pucker up ever want to go through that pain i hope i never do all right our guest today has made his name in the streets but he's one of the greatest competitive skateboarders of all time and one of the stars of street league skateboarding the one and only paul rodriguez and yeah tell you what paul rodriguez it just made me happy seeing you walk down here oh thank you rob you know what i mean it's good to be here i mean so many amazing moments in your skateboard career what is the number one moment i guess when uh transworld named me as one of the top 30 skaters of all time don't like it don't like it i'm fishing for an answer what was the greatest achievement in your career winning street league winning a street league contest give it up he was holding that trophy up to me you know it's like that so if you are named one of the top 30 skaters of all time what would you be most known for i guess for being ambidextrous ambidextrous skater okay i don't know is it said right does everybody agree with that extras okay i don't think it's tricky right yeah it is better than saying i go both ways right okay because i was just about to say that and i stopped myself well i'll tell you what p rod is
