we're concluding our collection known as bc-ad the rest is history I think tonight God has a message for us Luke 24 starting in verse 13 the scripture reads like this now that same day two of them were going to a village called Emmaus about seven miles from Jerusalem they were talking with each other about everything that had happened and as they talked and discuss these things with each other Jesus himself came up and walked along with them but they were kept from recognizing him he asked them what are you discussing together as you walk along they Stood Still their faces downcast one of them named Cleopas asked him are you the only one visiting Jerusalem who does not know the things that have happened there in these days what things he asked about Jesus of Nazareth they replied he was a prophet powerful and word indeed before God and all the people the chief priests and our own rulers handed him over to be sentenced to death and they crucified Him verse 21 but we had hoped everyone say hoped that he was the one who was going to redeem Israel and what is more it is the third day since all this has taken place in addition some of our women amazed us they they went to the tomb early this morning but didn't find his body they came and told us they had seen a vision of angels who said he was alive then some of our companions went to the tomb and found it just as the woman has said but they did not see Jesus he said to them how foolish you are and how slow to believe all that the prophets have spoken did not the Messiah have to suffer these things and then enter his glory and beginning with Moses and all the prophets he explained to them what was said in all the scriptures concerning himself everyone say the word all as they approached the village to which they were going Jesus continued on as if he were going farther but they urged him strongly stay with us for it is nearly evening the day is almost over so he went in to stay with them when he was at the table with them he took bread gave thanks broke it and began to give it to them then their eyes were opened and they recognized him and he disappeared from their sight they asked each other were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and open the scriptures to us they got up returned at once to Jerusalem there they found the eleven and those with them assembled together and saying it is true the Lord has risen and has appeared to Simon then the two told what had happened on the way and how Jesus was recognized by them when he broke the bread I want to take a few moments tonight and I want to preach to you from this subject the story's not over that the story's not over I don't know what you have come in here with tonight but let me be the first to let you know story's not over the facts somebody need to build your faith tonight look at your neighbor right now and say neighbor the story's not over look at your other neighbor because it's going to help you tonight as you talk in church a little bit say other neighbor say other neighbor the story's not over turn around to the people behind you saying yell people behind me the story's not over I believe that tonight and I believe we're leave here encourage and so would you prayer with me as we come around the preaching of God's Word oh we thank you so much for what you've done today already Lord we have this sense in our spirit that you saved the best for last so it have your way in this place meet us here on this Resurrection Sunday help us to see Jesus like we never had before I pray that you'd encourage your people pray that you build their faith pray that we walk out of here stronger better than how we came in give you all the praise we give you all the glory and if you love Jesus tonight all of God's people said come on 7:15 turn up can you go ahead and make some noise the shames the devil and gives praise to God come on and make some real noise tonight how many of out there I've ever traveled with a one-year-old what a joy some of you you know our story but my wife and I on tree we went on an eight year infertility journey where we could not have a child and we pray and we believed and after much prayer and after much trying our God who is faithful he answered our request and in January 2018 my wife gave birth to her firstborn son his name is Wyatt Wesley Wilkerson it's a strong name you do not mess with this kid tripled up www we call him World Wide Web for short he's amazing but traveling with him that'll test your salvation it's amazing because I've traveled a whole lot but now with the kid it's like a brand new whole saga you know you packed bags you check luggage you get to the airport even earlier than before and my wife and I we were in Los Angeles earlier this week and we were coming back towards in the week and as we got to the airport in LA our flight got delayed which normally is annoying in itself but now with a one-year-old it just becomes that much more annoying they push the flight back almost two hours we finally get on the airplane now when you travel with a one-year-old immediately when you get onto the airplane you try your best to start winning over all the people in your section well the parents this room know what I'm talking about hey how are you god bless you look great can I pray for you no you're gonna need it trust me how's talking to some of my friends this weekend they said rich we actually bake cupcakes and we give it to the people on the airplane I was like I'm not mad at that that's wisdom bro this was not a trip from heaven this was um came from some other place we got out of the flight and quickly Wyatt he was filled with something I don't know what it was but he was manifesting and he's doing his thing and it was quite a long flight but but the worst part as we were coming into Miami some of you guys remember on Thursday there was quite a storm here in Miami and there's lightning and thunder and rain when we had to land in that and some turbulence is just demonic let's be honest right what is your name turbulence like it's just come on let's be honest you know like like it like you know is bad when like your body's shaking and plays like I don't know I can shake like that you know you know turbulence as bad as when atheist start converting to believers come on you know this is true I'll be here all week folks there ain't no God God's dead oh really turbulence oh he's shunned adobo sheen doubt about Kishore but this is our speaking in tongues go I've often like really desired like I think it'd be great on a Sunday just to bring turbulence to church I'm not gonna preach today just turbulence you better believe you feel like oh my goodness Jesus is alive it would happen quick we're landing through this turbulence and somehow by the grace of God were able to land and we make it safe but we get off the airplane it's been a whole day we got this one year old he's just high we don't know he's talking about and we make our way down to baggage claim only to find out that our bags have not made it oh yeah pray for your boy it has been a troubling time in the Wilkerson home I don't know what it is but like it just doesn't ever feel right leaving the airport without your luggage I know there's bigger problems in the world but come on I feel like it's a basic agreement I give you my bags you give them back there are few feelings quite like leaving the airport without shore luggage nonetheless that's what we did we went home and we got home and we were disappointed we were discouraged in many ways we felt defeated and I was thinking about this little scenario as I was getting ready to come and preach this Sunday because I know like life is much harder than you know having a bad flight and missing your luggage but I do think that there's a basic metaphor that so often in life what happens is while we're on the journey of life things happen that we were not expecting like obstacles come and challenges happen pain occurs people get sick people betray us we don't always have enough money we lose our job we get our job things happen that we never ever plan to have happen what can take place in moments like this is so often when people are disappointed long enough they begin to live life through the lens of defeat many times when you start living defeated what happens is is you just choose to quit you throw in the towel you say it's too difficult it's too hard I'm done I'm giving up I think if there's some encouragement around Easter it's this is that it's always too soon to quit and if you're breathin tonight rest assured God is still working the story is not over sidebar good news they found my bags in fact the bags that weren't even lost they were on the airplane the problem was was that because of the rain and because of the storm and because of the lightning it was unsafe it was it was a hazard it was it was life-threatening for the baggage claim workers to go and get my bags meanwhile I'm over here go God if you love me my luggage I have no idea that my prayers actually mean God risk those men's lives so I can get my bags how many of you know I don't know all the details I don't know the entire story some of you tonight you ought to thank God for every unanswered prayer because God is telling a story and if you don't quit tonight I want to remind you the story is not over yet somebody give God some praise in this place that he is working it out see tonight as we confess the name of Jesus you need to understand that as you confess Jesus what you're also doing is you're confessing who Jesus is not Jesus is not just some good teacher and Jesus is not just some good guy and Jesus is not just some philosopher although he did all of those things tonight as we confess the name Jesus what we're really saying is we're saying Jesus is God that's a big disclaimer as we jump into our text tonight because I love our church and our church has all types of people that come to it but you should know that we believe Jesus is gone and if Jesus is God what that means for us tonight is that we're gonna put our trust in him in the good the bad and the ugly and we're gonna believe that he's writing out a story and we're gonna trust that if things are going bad it's probably because there's some details that we don't know about but he has never failed us yet and he's not gonna start now we're gonna declare the story is not over [Applause] Jesus is God maybe you're hearing that tonight and maybe that's a little bit illogical to you maybe that's a little bit challenging to you there's no doubt that it takes faith to believe that Jesus is God but tonight I want to take a moment and I want to attempt as we finish out our collection bc-ad I want to try to appeal to your logic towards the the analytical side of your mind tonight because I do believe it takes faith to believe that Jesus is God but I also think it's a logical conclusion there's really three basic credentials that I believe that makes Jesus God the first is his impact on history that's really kind of what we've been dancing around the last four to five weeks here at vu Church the idea of BC ad BC and AD are are labels that are used in the calendar system the Gregorian calendar is the most widely used calendar in all of the world BC is a label it stands for before Christ ad is a latin word on odometer which means in the year of our lord check this out all of humanity is actually measuring time in history based upon the birth of a Jewish carpenter named Jesus every nation every tongue every tribe every religion is telling time based upon the life of Jesus I don't believe in it homie you can't tell time without him I'm not sure he's relevant oh yeah what year is it love him or hate him you can't deny him run to him or run from him but you cannot avoid that there has never been a person throughout all of time that has impacted humanity in history quite like Jesus we could talk for hours around this idea of this man Jesus who's impacted history but that's not the only credential that he carries the second credential that he carries that I I think has not talked nearly enough about in church is all of the prophecies that he fulfilled prophecies are these ideas that things were written about Jesus before he did them hundreds of years before he lived do that twenty-six percent of your Bible a quarter of your Bible is prophetic prophecies about Jesus what he would do where he'd be born I mean it's it's all there in the scripture he fulfills this stuff it's one of the reasons that I believe that he's that he's God Luke 24 is amazing story and let me try to put it in context tonight as we read all those verses but it's Sunday and it's Sunday in the text as well many of us in this room we know that Jesus he died on a Friday we now call it Good Friday but it was not a good Friday when he died it was a bad messy ugly Friday faith really makes sense in retrospect now today we know it to be good but Jesus died on a Friday but then Sunday he resurrected from the grave in Luke 24 the first people that go to his tomb are women who used to follow him the book of John indicates that a name the name is Mary Magdalene there's a woman that Jesus cast seven demons out of Mary Magdalene is the first human being to see Jesus with her eyes after he is resurrected she's the first person to bring back the witness I have seen the Lord a lot of people wonder I wanted out Jesus and God feel about women I think he's for women I don't know I mean I don't know I mean all right I'm dead now I'm alive and the first people I want to see me alive are women [Applause] people in church get into the silliest debates I don't think women can preach I don't think women can pastor I don't think women can be advantageous are you kidding me the very first evangelist in the New Testament were women and if God thought they were fit back then who's to say they can't do it now these girls go back y'all we seen him he alive Peter's like I don't believe it he runs I can't see him he freaks out Luke 24 zeroes in on these two guys and these two guys yeah I just want to try to get the picture in your mind that they're leaving Jerusalem Jerusalem was where Jesus has been crucified they're leaving Jerusalem and they're on a seven mile journey to a village called Emmaus and while they're walking these are followers of Jesus we get one of their names his name is Clea piss we've seen in other parts of the scripture the other one we don't know his name but as they're walking they're talking together and while they're walking Jesus himself walks right up to them now he's resurrected in the scripture says that they were kept from recognizing him a lot of theories around this you know I believe the biggest reason why they were kept from recognizing him is because Jesus wants an honest conversation with them you ever see that show Undercover Boss boss skits in disguise he goes and he works with all the workers people act ratchet when they don't know the boss is watching God can't hew who you pretend to be God wants an honest conversation with you he wants a vulnerable conversation out of you he wants to know what's what's really going on and so he walks up to them and they're kept from recognizing him and he walks in Jesus makes me laugh he's like what are you guys discussing and Cleopas is like y'all are you the only person in Jerusalem who does not know what has been happening watch out savage Jesus's what's happening these guys proceeded to walk with Jesus not knowing it's Jesus and they start telling Jesus all about Jesus like all it's been crazy Jesus of Nazareth he was a great prophet he was powerful in Word powerful indeed but the rulers and the Pharisees they didn't like him they feared him and so they crucified him on Friday and this is what they say they say we had hoped that he would redeem Israel that word hope is a key indicator of how they're feeling because their hope is lost the scripture says Hope deferred makes the heart grow sick you wonder where disappointment comes from disappointment comes from unmet expectations these men are fleeing Jerusalem and they're feeling disappointed they're feeling discouraged and they are feeling defeated they're missing something doesn't feel right leaving Jerusalem without Jesus the dream is over he's dead the last three years of our life we've been following this man and now he is dead we're getting out of town and were headed to mass this did not go as we planned it what's amazing is that they're essentially telling Jesus Jesus did not do what we wanted him to do see everybody that was following Jesus what they wanted was they wanted a lion but instead he came as a lamb they all wanted a politician but instead they got a prophet they wanted a general but they got the good shepherd they wanted a crown on his head but instead they got a cross on his back they wanted a throne but he gave him a grave they wanted a king but he said I'm a servant they wanted justice but he gave him grace I hope you know tonight God doesn't give you what you want he gives you what you need I'm gonna trust him because the story's not over it's not over is it's not over these guys are telling jeez is all about Jesus and they're sad and they're defeated and GZ ever read the Bible go me I think Jesus lacked social awareness like I know he's omnipotent but yo this guy like a mission but does not understand what is like kind and what is like sweet and like he goes you fools imagine walking up in somebody at a funeral who is crying on yo you're a fool brah it's like no no like he says you fools he says how slow you are to believe what all the prophets have been speaking about did not the Messiah have to suffer these things and enter his glory what is he rebuking them for he's rebuking them because he's saying for hundreds and hundreds of years you men who believe the scriptures supposedly it's like you have forgotten about all that was prophesied about the Messiah to come it was prophesied that the Messiah would die it was prophesied that the Messiah would go to the tomb it was prophesied that he would resurrect what is your problem see if you're slow to believe God's Word you'll be slow to receive God's promises many of us what's really going on is that we're not getting what we want but we should understand that God knows some details we don't know and he doesn't give us what we want he gives us what we need he gives us what we need because what's the deal I love Jesus whenever Jesus rebukes you typically he fills you afterwards I can show you lots of times in scriptures he looks at Peter after the resurrection says get thee behind me Satan that's a bad day like you've had some bad days too cheese's they never called you the devil but a few verses later is like Peter you're the rock i'ma build my church upon you Wow see he corrects you to protect you do not fear his correction do not fear his rebuke he's going to fill you the way he's gonna fill these guys is he's about to reveal himself to them but watch what happens as he reveals himself he's not gonna reveal himself visually he's gonna reveal himself audibly it's not gonna be through the eye gate that they discover it's Jesus it's gonna be through the ear gate the Apostle Paul said it this way in Romans chapter 10 verse 17 he says that faith comes by hearing and hearing the Word of God see when you start to read the scriptures looking for Jesus what happens is is the result is that you will have faith and you're gonna need faith on the journey because there's gonna come these moments when life doesn't go the way you want it to go you're gonna be tempted to quit but baby if you got faith you're gonna be able to keep on moving you're not gonna quit you're gonna stand firm and you're gonna watch God deliver you the story is not over my faith is produced when I see Jesus but I hear the word and as I hear the word faith is the byproduct here's the key verse watch this Luke chapter 24 verse 27 and beginning with Moses and all the prophets he explained to them what was said in all the scriptures concerning himself someone say all so this what he's doing he's walking seven miles with these guys and he's going to fill them by revealing himself to them they're kept from recognizing they don't know it's Jesus they've been talking to Jesus about Jesus now Jesus is gonna talk to them about himself and the way he's gonna do it is he's gonna use the scriptures what scriptures exactly well he says he starts with Moses knew what Moses represents Moses represents the Torah he was the author of Genesis Exodus Leviticus numbers and Deuteronomy and then it says he goes into the prophets that's pretty much the entire Old Testament meaning Jesus is gonna jump into the BC and he's gonna reveal every verse in the BC that was actually about himself so that faith can be produced so they will not quit the only discouraging thing to me about this entire text is that we don't have that sermon if we did add that sermon I would be out of a job because every Sunday we would just read that sermon because faith is about to erupt I don't know what the sermon was but I got a feeling party started at Genesis chapter 3 and he talked about the curse of humanity after they ate the fruit and he said that from the woman a seed would be born and the seed would crush the devil's head I got a feels like you know Genesis 3 that's me I got a sin he went to Genesis 22 Genesis 22 is the story of Abraham who has a son named Isaac and after a hundred years of waiting on a promise from God God finally gives him his child and then God says hey Abraham do you really love me in fact love is the first time it's introduced is Genesis chapter 22 he says to Abraham he says take your only son that you love and sacrifice him on top of Mount Moriah Abraham obedient to God goes all the way up to the top of Mount Moriah he lays his only son down on an altar and he gets ready to sacrifice him and then God stops him and says there's a ram in the thicket that Ram can replace your son what's fascinating is that Mount Moriah in the BC Calvary's Hill in the ad and Jesus is like you've been here in that story your whole life but you better believe that I went up on top of Mount Moriah and the father he crushed me and crucified me so that you could have life and life more abundantly Abraham was foreshadowing me probably stopped that Exodus 12 and sort of breaking down the Passover you guys have been celebrating for hundreds of years your physical freedom and the liberation you got from the Egyptians but I want to let you know that no longer do you have to sacrifice lambs no longer do you have to remember the blood being put over the doorpost of your home for just on Friday when I was crucified on that tree I am the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world and because of my blood you no longer have to fear the wrath of God now you can anticipate the reward of God I am the Passover I bet he had a great time with Leviticus some of you get your one year Bible I can't wait this year I'm gonna read the whole Bible in one year until you get to Leviticus you're like this ain't for me this this part's not for me but Jesus would have gone line by line and verse by verse and chapter by chapters and that's me that's me I'm the Day of Atonement I am the tabernacle I am everything that you could not be I didn't come to abolish this thing I came to fulfill it because you never could even on your best day probably stop that numbers chapter 21 Moses in the wilderness a disobedient Israelite tribe a plague falls upon them the only way that they can be cured cured is that God speaks to Moses and he says lift up a snake and as you lift up the snake if people will draw their eyes to the snake they will be healed and I can just see Jesus go never a little while ago when I told you if the Son of Man be lifted up I'll draw all men unto me yeah yeah yeah Moses was for shouting what I'm gonna do for when all of humanity looks upon me they will be cured they will be healed they will be redeemed I want to let you know story is not over yet he probably got into Psalms and stopped at Psalm 2 Psalm 16 Psalm 22 where David the psalmist he wrote songs about crucifixion what's crazy that crucifixion wasn't invented until a hundred years after he had written these songs he was prophetically singing about a messiah who would die those are about me he had a good time in the Book of Isaiah Isaiah known as a mini Bible 66 chapters mimicking 66 books where'd lee start probably Isaiah 7 where it says that the Messiah will be born of a virgin that yo guys you know my mom she wouldn't lie they went over to Isaiah 9 where it says that he'll be born in Bethlehem in the house of David guys you know where I was born probably whatever to Zechariah 9 or it says that he'll come into Jerusalem on a donkey guys don't you remember one week ago when I came in everyone's worshipping me and everybody was celebrating me and I wrote in on a donkey and you were confused I was fulfilling the prophecy why are you so slow to receive this what's what's going on like I've got promises for you but you can't receive them because you can't believe what was already written like this is not emotion like we all have to stop and consider the odds of this this is like crazy crazy odds researchers tell us that for a person to fulfill eight prophecies when I say prophecies I'm not talking like he's gonna like chocolate like that's not the prophecy it's detailed prophecies for a person to fulfill eight detailed prophecies the chances and the odds are 1 out of 100 quadrillion we don't even we can't even but for a person to fulfill 48 prophecies it gets crazy it's like 1 out of 10 to the hundred 50th power like I don't know how many zeros that is bro but for a person to fulfill 300 prophecies only Jesus Christ it's nothing short of supernatural we're impressed with Tiger Woods winning the Masters at 43 not hating on Tiger Woods the odds are crazy I love Tiger but Tigers got nothing on Jesus Jesus fulfilled 300 prophecies and an auto let faith erupted your life that he was not just a man but he was God in the flesh Jesus is walking and he starts with Moses and he goes to the prophecy seven miles of walking seven miles he's revealing himself and they get to Emmaus and as they get to Emmaus these guys they don't know as Jesus but they're liking this guy they're with and it seems like Jesus and to keep on going further so they go please please can you just stay can you hang out a little while longer with us and at least have have a meal with us Jesus agrees and he sits down with them and as they sit down to have a meal scripture says that he takes bread and he breaks it those of us that know God's Word we know that bread always represents his body his body was broken and it was beaten so that you and I could be made whole and complete is what the scripture says the scripture says that when he broke the bread and as he got ready to give it to them all of a sudden they recognized who he was and as soon as they recognized him he disappeared look what they said to each other verse 32 they asked each other were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the scriptures to us we're not our hearts burning they had heartburn spiritual heartburn and I pray tonight that you two would have spiritual heartburn that as Christ reveals himself to you some of you can testify and you can witness to it tonight that your heart is on fire at times it's hard to explain but ultimately what you're explaining is what they were sensing and feeling because Jesus is God because of his impact on history in Jesus is God because of the fulfillment of prophecy but Jesus is God because he resurrected from the grave our hearts were burning the whole time we were with him something was was happening he was just teaching us the scriptures and he was walking us through the word and something was burning on the inside little boy into the doctor's office the doctor he wanted to make the little kid calm and so he was trying to play with him but had to check his ears his nose his throat his heart and so he looks in his ears and he says it's big bird in your ears look he said no look at his nose he said his donald duck in your nose he said no grab his stethoscope put it on his heart he said his Elmo in your heart he said no Elmo's on my underwear Jesus is in my heart even a child can have an encounter with him even a little kid can begin to have faith and say there's something more out there old friend Jesus can be a lot of places but he better be alive in your heart for if he's alive in your heart you won't quit you won't give up story's not over it's not over he's in my heart you know what I find fascinating I find it fascinating these guys once they see Jesus and he disappears they don't start complaining that he disappeared they're not like oh I can't believe it it's the second time he left us crazy that's not what they say at all because although we don't have the tangible Jesus in front of us we now have the intangible Jesus inside of us and no matter the price and no matter the challenge he's with us story's not over we're not our hearts burning something happened on the inside he's alive he didn't stay in the grain didn't stand it - he's alive you all know why people showed up to this place at 5:45 in the morning it's not because of skilled preachers it's not then he'd come to see the band they came because something on the inside is burning they've had an encounter with a Living God can't stay away he's gone he's gone you say rich why do you believe Jesus is God I believe he's God because I actually believe he resurrected from the grave well how do you know it I believe it based upon these two eyewitness accounts but not just their accounts five hundred different people saw him with their own eyes he said but rich you just don't believe these guys you don't even know these guys no you're right I don't know them but something in the scripture is alarming to me something in the scripture when I use my logic it doesn't add up the scripture says that as soon as he disappeared they said why not our hearts burning as he opened the scriptures to us and then it says immediately they said let's go back to Jerusalem oh I feel it in my spirit tonight you say rich why would that even be an indicator why would that matter you it matters to me because Jerusalem meant danger going back to Jerusalem meant risking their lives they were leaving they were running from Jerusalem I hope you know this today that at the cross there was no such thing as Christians there wasn't like these followers of Jesus when Jesus died the movement died with him think you got to know this like they all scattered they all took off that's why Peter remember Peter like Peter denies Jesus to a little girl curses a child out because she says I think I've seen you with Jesus he said no no you don't get away from me why because he was afraid he was afraid because he was certain that it was all over messiahs don't die sons of God can't be killed I guess the last three years was a waste we had some good stories but I gotta get out of Jerusalem I gotta leave yes something is missing yes I'm disappointed but I can't stay there the story is over Peter Peter denies Jesus to a little girl that was Friday he was a coward but come Sunday after he sees Jesus resurrected in the flesh some kind of supernatural courage comes over him like never before historians tell us that Peter died a gruesome martyrs death when they came to to kill him they decided to kill him in the same way they killed Jesus upon a cross yet Peters dying request he said I am not fit to die like my Savior do me one last favor hang me upside down when you crucify me these guys said let's go back to Jerusalem bro you're running from Jerusalem they're gonna kill you in Jerusalem but it should not surprise us 10 of the 12 disciples of Jesus all died martyrs death what gives I'll tell you what gives they saw Jesus die on Friday and then they saw him resurrect on Sunday and they said we're going back get back I'm going back the mall back I'm going back to Jerusalem because whoever just walked with us that was Jesus and I know we might die going back but Jesus is not a man he is God and if God is for us who can be against us maybe the story's not over yet who would die for a lie let's say it better than that who would die for a lie if they knew it was a lie there's a lot of people dying in 2019 for what I think is a lie but these men watched him be crucified on a tree and they were afraid and they ran but then three days later everything about their countenance everything about their body language everything about their cadence everything about their walk drastically changed they said we will die for this message and if Jesus is God I don't know man like this is not this is not just any ordinary think this is this is God and if he's God I think giving our life to Him is the only response we have calculation and crucifixion we'll never agree Jesus if he's God he deserves so much more than a morally decent life if he's God he deserves you to lay your life down and say I will go wherever you tell me to go the cross it shows us that Jesus was a man but an empty tomb it declares that Jesus was God 7 in the Bible was a number of completion it's the number of perfection it's God's number in seven days he created the heavens and the earth on the seventh day he rested because he is finished I love that he takes a seven mile walk with these guys and for seven miles he reveals himself to them by showing them how he completed and finished every one of the scriptures he was saying the story's not over in the early 1800s the French Empire was growing led by Napoleon Bonaparte and in 1815 there was this battle that was a very pivotal battle it's the Battle of Waterloo and the way back then that they would send messages back to London is that they would use signal men that would hold these big bulletin boards and they would send a message from mountaintop to mountaintop and it would take a while to bring a report back from the war back from the battle on this particular day they were waiting to get the news and finally the news came in and the bulletin board in London it went up and what it said is it said Waterloo defeated and everybody in London begin to panic and they be in a freakout because they knew now that France was going to come and kill them people into their houses people hid some people left the city and said we're doomed we're gonna die everything we've ever known is all gone the story is over when it happened was that a fog had come into the city and the fog had covered the bulletin board and so they only got part of the message finally the fog settled when the fog settled the rest of the message appeared it said Waterloo defeated Napoleon in instantly everybody's response and reaction drastically changed they got out of their homes they went in the streets they begin to celebrate they begin to shout they begin to dance they we are free I hope you know the two thousand years ago when Jesus Christ went to a cruel rugged cross they put nails in his hands and nails in his feet every bit of the story was prophesied about but as he went up on that cross and as he died all of a sudden the devil put up a big ole bulletin board and it said Jesus defeated all of humanity began to scatter darkness covered the earth everybody was panicked everybody was afraid but when everybody didn't realize is that there was more to the story for Jesus was in the belly of the earth and he was waging war with all of Hell for on day three he resurrected and when he resurrected the bulletin board went up in the air and it said Jesus defeated Satan and he was declaring the story is not over I wish I could get a witness at 7:15 who knows the story is not over he's alive he is risen come on lift your hands
