welcome back i am so excited to show you guys the two different blow dryer brushes that i got one of the bed head and the other one is the revlon so pretty much on one side of my head i'm gonna be doing the bed head and on my left side i'm gonna be comparing the revlon so if you guys want to see more keep on watching [Music] all right let's start comparing both brushes look exactly identical the front and the back of the brush have just the plastic bristles the side of the brush have the plastic mixed with the bore bristles which helps hold on to the hair while round brushing that's how you're able to fill the brush have some tension while round brushing the handles are similar and there's an off cool low and high option here's the box for the revlon and the box for the bed head this is super interesting both packaging says helen of troy made in china and distribute in el paso texas so it sounds like it's possibly manufactured at the same warehouse now let's check out the weight i put it into a vase so i'm able to stick the cord into it as well the base is over four pounds and a set to zero the revlon weighs one pound five ounces the bed head weighs one pound four ounces so the bed head is barely lighter by an ounce next we're going to measure the temp with my meat thermometer depending where you put the stick the revlon goes up to 200 degrees wow it looks like the bed head goes up to 239 degrees that's almost 40 degrees hotter than the revlon it seems like it's getting hotter as you move away from the handle which is kind of weird let's get to the demo my hair has been air drying for about 30 minutes i sprayed the redken when united all over my hair this is the 25 in one so it's great with protecting hair from heat it's like a leave-in conditioner detangles and a whole bunch more as always i apply another heat protectant product i love how this cheese smells add mousse all over for volume run a brush through your hair to distribute the products evenly split your hair in the middle and down to the back of your nape then i clip my left side the first section i part my hair an inch above my ear and all the way to the back i wanted to see if the blow dryer can dry a huge section at the same time normally you want to dry around like an inch-ish section when you're around brushing your hair but it depends on how thick or thin your hair is of course with both blow dryer brush i have it set on high i start off with the section by my ear and start blow drying okay i'm blow drying my hair with the bed head and my ears get so hot where is unbearable so i have to let my ears cool down for a sec then start round brushing my hair again also when i touch my hair strand to put it back onto the brush it's almost too hot to touch as well now i'm drawing my left side with the revlon my ears don't get hot and i'm able to comfortably grab my hair strand and put it back onto the brush there's not a right or wrong way in using this brush i try to dry my roots in mid shaft first then my ends last to make that pretty curl i can't say one side dry is faster than the other unless i'm doing it at the same time plus one side of my head is thicker than the other and my left side was sitting as i was drying the right side so that means the left side could have gotten some heat from the other side if that makes sense i'm going to blow dry the rest of my hair and i'm just alternating doing both sides at the same time so i can compare while i'm blow drying it to be honest i don't feel that the bed head dries my hair faster compared to the revlon even though it gets 39 degrees hotter it feels like it takes the same amount of time to dry my hair but most likely the bed head did dry my hair faster since it's much hotter yes i did test out both brushes a few times before shooting this video if you want more volume blow dry in the opposite direction to how it's laid like how i'm doing it here [Music] okay both sides looks exactly the same i put biostick all over for shine i don't add it to the roots because i don't want it to look greasy in this area run the product to the ends with your fingers if you look at my parting the blow dryer caused a lot of flyaways right here when you typically round brush your hair with a blow dryer brush your blow dryer should be pointing down the hair shaft to seal the cuticle but with this brush it's blowing it everywhere i still like this brush a lot it's super easy super convenient compared to using a blow dryer and a round brush this is what i don't like about the brush there's a lot of static and it's kind of annoying like i want to pull my hair into a ponytail to get rid of the static i add the reg and water wax i tried a few different waxes that i have at home and this one seems to work the best here's what the back looks like this side is the bed head all right guys so pretty much the revlon is heavier than the bed head by just like a little bit it's not that huge of a difference but if you're weak you might want to get the bad head and from the temperature what i demonstrated the bed head gets hotter by a lot that could be a good or a bad thing but when i'm blow drying the hair strand closer to my ear i am pretty much round brushing it blow drying it until it gets dry but the bad thing is my ears kind of burn it gets hot where i feel like i have to stop round brushing my hair i didn't have to do that with the revlon the second thing is when i'm blow drying my hair this hair strength gets hot where i can't touch it like it's like too hot and i didn't have to do that with the revlon that's like pros and cons about it i don't have anything bad to say about the revlon it didn't burn around my ear um when i i'm touching my hair strand it didn't feel like it's like burning my fingers the weight i can't when i'm round brushing it i can't really honestly tell the difference because it's so much better than holding a blow dryer and a round brush at the same time and working out so for me this is better than a blow dryer and a round brush overall it's both are great tools and to be honest it gives the exact same results both sides look really incredible um it gives that nice smooth um blow-dry type of look if you're looking for something like that i do like it and to be honest i can't recommend one over the other because it gives the exact same results um if you're very sensitive to heat i probably go with the revlon if you want something super hot if you have really super curly hair where it's like you want to make sure it's straight and all that stuff i'll go with the bed head i guarantee when my hair gets longer it's going to be um much better for the hotter if that makes sense because my hair right now is just medium length i think this one would be really good for somebody with like thick hair and hair that takes a little bit longer to dry this one might be good honestly you can't go wrong with either one they're both great i just say just get whatever is the cheapest at that time because the prices on these suckers fluctuate other than that let me know if you have any questions down below and don't forget to have fun be creative and i'll see you next time
