October 24 2009 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Family Life Center persons can receive information about how to build and write your resume interview skills and so much more for more information please organizations present to assist anyone in need of help due to domestic violence abuse how many people know this month is men's month this is our men's season with all the men please stand all the the month of October the target goal is to get 100 say 100 100 new men brought to God so if that's your goal please bring another man bring a brother a cousin a friend a nephew uncle whoever and each Sunday we will do a countdown to our targeted goal also before Bible study at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday night we will have sessions of empowerment from various speakers and information just for the men also on Sunday October 18th there will be a firm end only Health Fair the Charles Robinson fellowship hall from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. W prostate screenings blood pressure screenings diabetes screenings and so much more so please stop in on Sunday October 18th for more information also Sunday October 25th the last Sunday of this month is our men's day and all three services we will celebrate the men of empowerment temple our speakers for that day will be pastor PM Smith at 7:30 and pastor Lance Watson at 9:30 and 11:30 our entire for that Sunday will be tennis shoes and ties so if you have tennis shoes that you have ties then please by all means wear them to church we will also be having a job fair for men only in the Charles Robinson fellowship hall that day and our men's day choir will be been in tremendous groanings in my spirit about this word since Thursday of this week and that this is a different kind of a message that I'm sharing on today I is not a sermon as such as much as as an impartation as a deposit that I think is going to critically shift the whole dimension of the rest of your life this is not going to be a regular day but this is a date you're going to remember today October 3rd was today for with October 4th 2009 I want you to write that by this scripture October 4th 2009 you're going to want to remember this date amen you don't want to remember this date October 4th 2009 because you will never think the same after this you will not think the same after this message yes this is going to set some people free who have been in bondage he's going to give her at least two millions who have been carrying a weight unnecessarily and I'm believing that God has given me a revolution revelation for the body of Christ there's going to transform our thinking and our approach to life and if you able to get this into your spirit I'm telling y'all gonna be thanking me to the cows come home if you didn't heed no other sermon this year this is the sermon God needed you to hear he didn't want you at 7:30 he didn't necessarily need you at 11:30 he need you at 9:30 to hear this message being that somebody who's not even here you listening it is in your car you don't download it in your mp3 I need you to pull over because what God has committed to give you I don't want you to have an accident and swerve into the median of the road dating men I go to go to the Bible John 9 go to John 9 verse 4 amen now let me release it is there going to be a whole lot of preaching black man turn to your neighbor Amen this I appreciate your name I'm talking to you Amen I'm talking man your business I'm talking to you amen Alma no see see it ain't none of that this is the Word of God for your life amen as long as it is day we must do the work of him who sent me but you underline that place we must do the work of him who sent me would you own the line did night is coming and soon no one will go to work all right do you have that alright if you need a title I want to preach today using a subject I want to make an impartation that deposit into your heart and your spirit is almost going to be like Mary and Elizabeth when I get close to you and close to where it is that you are the spirit in you is gonna leap in affirmation of what it is that I'm given say now let me say to you that at the outset what I'm gonna say to you is very foreign very alien but I'm telling you if you give me about 15 minutes to work my case you're gonna help me I help yourself amen I want to use as a subject today I do not need a job all right I do not need a job this is going to help somebody in this room oh here's a bound all eyes are closed low in the name of Jesus I pray that you will impregnate this moment with the seed of your revelation Lord don't let us abort this word before we get back home but let us go full term to carry out our purpose in Jesus name Amen I need you all over the room I need you I know this is countercultural what it is that you give me the Express but everybody in the room I need you to just declare how loud I don't need a job I need that to let them marinate in you for just a little minute let that saturating your spirit this is not a called a laziness amen and this is going to call you to cause you to go to another dimension of thinking and I need 1500 of you who are in the room would you declare out loud I do not need a job every day ladies and gentlemen billions of people around the world go to a job hear me that they can't stand and because they're going to a job that they cannot stand they are wasting their gifts their talents their abilities their bodies their time their brains their skills and their anointing it is an Aeronautical fact that if you build a plane and put it in a hangar but you do not fly in and just let it rest in the hangar after several years of sitting in the hangar idle the motor will be of no good consequently conversely if you build a plane and let that plane fly with frequency around the nation around the world that motor will in fact need service and maintenance but it will be in better condition than the one that stood still ladies and gentlemen I want you to understand the reason why it is that the plane that is flying is in better shape than the one that is standing still is because the one that is flying is operating out of its purpose but the one that is sitting still is starting to a road because it is not functioning in the purpose in which it was designed many of you under the sound of my voice of falling apart and the reason why it is that you are falling apart is because your job is a hanger it is not allowing your ability your skillset your gift your talent to fly it is just keeping you in a cornered office and you have in fact placated yourself in a convincing because of a check you're happy when your mind is not working ladies and gentlemen we spend a third of our lifespan on a job one-third of our lifespan is spent on a job on average to the people who I'm talking to today you will spend it next week - you will spend this year 2009 2080 hours on a job most of us will have a 40 year career span if you have a 40 year career span mathematically that then equates to you spending eighty three thousand two hundred hours on a job you don't like that is ladies and gentlemen when you look at your day you spend ten hours a day at your job eight hours a day on average sleeping and you only have six hours a day free so you spend more time in your day doing something you don't like then you do in your day doing something that will in half fact help discipline and cultivate you you have to make up in your mind ladies and gentlemen that you spend too much of your time doing a job you don't like God did not put you on this planet to be miserable he put you on this planet to prosper to have dominion and they have authority as a consequence you're going to have to change your thinking as you approach your job so that your job is very clear that you don't need the job the job needs you we are in fact designed in the mind of God to live here me abundantly not sufficiently and most of our jobs are just making it sufficient for our existence when Jesus said I came that you might have life not so that you might have sufficient or adequate you ought to have abundance so if you are in a job that is giving you an adequate pay it is out of the will of God you ought to be operating at a level where you are producing something that afford you a lifestyle to be in abundance some of you are looking at me with a way when I let me see if I can get a little bit closer to my argument 87% of the people in this room do not like their job eighty seven percent fifty percent of you who are listening to me do not feel satisfied or fulfilled 25 percent of you say that your job is the number one stress factor in your life 41 percent of you who are in this room a living from paycheck to paycheck 70 percent of you are not motivated by what it is that you do fifty percent of you are woefully underpaid sixty-seven percent of you are in the wrong field 72 percent of you are in a place where you are being undermined so you will not succeed you were not born to be in a permanent job situation I want to say this to you and I need you to help me think with your mind and not with your emotion if in fact ladies and gentlemen I stood before you and held up a coke bottle the coke bottle would in fact represent your life but if in fact I then brought clay and told you to cover the coke bottle you would in fact cover that coke bottle as best as you could but no matter how many coats of clay you put on the coke bottle watch this the clay would now take the shape of the bottle the problem is this is that the coke bottle is your job and you have shaped your life around your job so the consequence your job dictates when you take vacation your job tells you what time a day you eat your job suggests to you how many hours you need to put in in order to be motivated your job then tells you when how much time is put in before you can retire I'm gonna say this to somebody and I need you to hear me with open ears and I stand to be corrected against any theologian in the world there is no scriptural reference from Genesis to revelations that tells anybody get a job but nowhere in the entire Bible is there an edict that suggests from heaven go get a job God does not tell us to get a job he tells us go to work I'm getting to help somebody here now it's interesting that everything that is created understands that except Saints cars work chairs work your watch works planes work money works computers work TVs work dryers work lamps work but you want to get a job I want to suggest to you and even at the risk of sounding heretical that jobs are from the devil oh my god because jobs are designed to take you off of your purpose and away from your assignment jobs have in fact been constructed so you would lose sight of what it is that you were born and created to do God gives you work to do Satan gives you a job so that you will forget what it is you were designed to do so there's some people in this room you are frustrated because your job has taken the win the energy and the strength away from you and you've been thinking God I've been created to do something different from this and God is saying I've been waiting for you to wake up and shake it off and remember that there is a greater call on your life I never said to you punch in I never said to you sign it I never said to you that you gotta be an troublesome buyer I said work the works of him that sent me but you're too tired from your job to do your ministry work Jimmy is the activity that exerts strength in order to perform a function I want to be very clear what it is that I'm saying I am not telling you to quit your job give me very clearly let me say it again I am not telling you to quit your job what I am sending you is your job is not your life god help me in here and I'm I'm get ready to save somebody from a life of stress a life of misery a life of heartache in a life of pain so tomorrow when you go to work you have a different attitude listen you are my co-workers you ain't my friends and because I understand that understand I'm just here to collect a check none of y'all gotta eat with me none of y'all gotta talk to me y'all just get out of my space and let me do this cuz there's a different assignment over my life yes work exerts energy in order to perform a function or a due date let me see if I can help somebody because some of you still are not grasping the concept between a work and a job so if you open up your Bibles now to John chapter 9 let's look at verse number one here it is John chapter nine verse number one watch what it says as Jesus was walking along do you see that in your Bible ah dess 9 verse one Clause a as Jesus was walking along watching he sees a blind man alright I'm gonna give you evidence to substantiate my argument that Jesus does not have a job he has work to do prove it to me preacher is through deductive reasoning because Jesus was this in the time of the text is not on the clock hmm he's just walking and as he's walking along washes he sees a need and because he sees a need and it is instinctive to who it is that he is watch this he is not waiting for somebody to authorize that it is alright for me to work in my purpose but as I'm walking I see somebody in pain and because I have a god-given assignment I can't keep walking as if I don't see it I gotta stop because that's the call on my life to do something to help somebody that's why the on your job can't stand you because you doing stuff that is not in your job requirement y'all ain't talking back to me though keep coming to you asking for advice and how to get stuff done and you ain't even a supervisor but they recognize you got the gift in order to get it done all he was doing was walking along ah there ought to be something within the humanity of a believer that there ought not be a knee eva janitors in church Oh y'all don't like this here but they ought not be anybody after the church on the bus stop that they ought not be anybody who was hungry on a street corner which you'll save self but there ought to be something into you that when I see somebody that's going through the God in me won't allow me to keep going back as if nothing is taking place but I gotta do something because watch it but by the grace of God I would have been at the exact same spot but God did something for me yes he's walking by and he sees a blind man ladies and gentlemen I need you to see something very critical the blind man sir never asked to see I never expressed any inclination for being changed but Jesus said watch this I cannot be around people who don't have vision in oh my god because without a vision what is he gonna bring me down can I tell you you better start re-evaluating the people who you let get close to you because if they can't see for themselves when you try to start trying to show them what God is doing in your life they're gonna start getting jealous stuck in the attitude start getting threatening see people who got a life they are not intimidated by somebody else's success but they rejoice when they see somebody else go to verse 2 uh chapter 9 go to verse 2 now here is the difference from somebody who works and somebody who's used to having a job I'm in verse number 2 the disciple said who's responsible him or his parents people who have a job mentality always look to shift responsibility y'all don't like this here so you try to stay in your lane but those of us Russians who operate out of the unction of the Holy Spirit we don't know how to stay in the box that even if this ain't what I'm supposed to do I'm gonna step in the gap and do it does the person who was supposed to do it has dropped the ball I can't help myself yes there's somebody in this room you got us some kind of spirit on you it's just something about you they're just want you to fix stuff you can't stand being an environment where stuff is out of order and chaotic I can't talk to nobody in here I know I ain't supposed to do this but because nobody else is doing it y'all ain't gotta reward me I don't need no plaque I don't need no certificate but I keep my house key my car clean my spacious gotta be clean and you cannot be around me in chaos and expect me to be comfortable I need you to have a vision for your life yes sir son sister the man who's responsible for this who gonna win the souls on the stewards gonna do it the ministerial staff gonna bring the men into the church who's gonna do this who's who's gonna make sure that everything is held down and God is saying I've got to deliver the body of Christ from a job mentality god help me we gotta get you a place that until the kingdom is advanced I go back in him to this there are no titles god help me until we move the ministry forward sit over your position does a I'm sick of folks trying to be VIP in church I need some folk who understand if you want to be great you gotta serve hey listen who's responsible Jesus ass did he sin or did his parents sin and I like Jesus a swagger he just says move out the way watches let me go to work and may I suggest to somebody you don't have to get some elbow room because the people around you have been crowding your gift they've been trying to make you sit on your intellect they've been trying to make you hide how intelligent you are but I speak to every sleeping giant in this room the gossip whatever gift is in you you've been undercover long enough I'm get your gift work for you and I need somebody in this room who knows I'm sick of sitting back when I know I got a gift that needs to work hard who the please please be seated I oh my god which hallelujah I feel something in this room and I need 1,800 of you to just shout go to work go to work come on I dare you to shout go to work go to work come on say it again go to work go to work now listen you are not talking to your neighbor you just spoke to your gift that whatever is in me has gotta start moving at an accelerated pace cause it please be seated I'm I'm sorry oh my god hallelujah your gift is getting ready to go to work you ain't never been to medical school but you're gonna lay hands on the sick and they're gonna recover I can't hear nobody in here you are not in the Psychic Friends Network but you gonna speak those things that are not as though they already are I'm talking to somebody you don't step on scorpions st. resume your background you need a job I got you I can't hear nobody I need somebody who feels like there been a gifting you rested dormant but this is the season is coming on as you be seated hallelujah whoo be seated hallelujah listen unless my future entrepreneurs are in here be seated unless you got a New York Times best-selling book trapped in you be seated unless you know there's a multi-million dollar idea chapter they say that we see the place as long as is day so gatech says verse number four Long's is there you got work to do your assignment never takes a break god help me in here and I came to tell somebody that some of you have squandered too much of your time because you know your gift you know your talent you know your Nona but you've been sitting in the hangar but God said Jamal today I need you to be an air traffic controller stop tell me all the planes we get ready to be cleared for takeoff you've been at this level long enough but those are you in your spirit I believe I can fly I believe I can touch the sky I've been thinking about it night and day somebody in this room you get ready to take off it is good listen be seated please please be seated door those of you who I made up in your mind I am NOT gonna spend the rest of my life working for no gold watch I need God to do something so I can enjoy the rest of my life and God said give it over revelation of your life this week I was in three different cities Wednesday I was in Delaware they house in Detroit Friday I was in st. Louis and Friday morning topes called me said daddy we are you said I'm I'm in st. Louis she said ah anyway you were yesterday said uh I said now I was in Detroit she's a year but you was somewhere else before they I said I was in Delaware she said you did it you got the best job in the world said everything so that that's the job I want when I grew up that I can just go somewhere different every day and that's just when the Lord gave me the sermon I said tope ain't got a job she says what you mean you ain't got a job I said if I had a job somebody could find me god help me if I had a job somebody couldn't lay me off if I had a job they could downsize what it is that I do but when I was in my mother's womb he anointed me he he consecrated me God help me look at your neighbors and I got a job I got an assignment I don't just have an assignment but I have a purpose I don't just have a purpose but I have an unordered God works through me he's seen it please be seated huh I'm getting ready to close I'm get ready to close hallelujah please be seated we got to move this and the problem I have with quaking trepidation in the text is that he don't even know who blessed them and in the problem I got a lot how I have with a lot of you uppity negro star oh my god is you don't even know who blessed it run your degree and run your contacts it weren't your Greek affiliation but is there anybody in the room who knows I know who bless me enough I don't know why Jesus loves me I don't know why he cares I don't know why you sacrifice his life but I'm so glad he did god I'm in the wrong church do you know this year there are 3 million people who gonna lose their house but if you woke up this morning and you want in the shelter you want sleeping on the street you wanna shout this when you bless me you know how many people are filed bankruptcy but you still get money in the bank that's what it is me [Applause] and now something has happened to somebody in this room you make it more money than you've ever made you're more power than you can actually handle got more influence than what it is that you utilize but you've lost the basics I'm a proud graduate of Morehouse College Duke University Oxford University and but had a grandmother Pauline Lucas Williams and never graduate from college just came out of high school Raleigh North Carolina raised ten children in the projects in New York didn't lose any of the trucks none of them went to jail none of been arrested I can't hear nobody in here grandmother never flew on Air Force one like a grandson she never spoke to the UN like a grandson never spoke to four different presidents in Africa like a grandson but yet him she had a principle my grandmother did that your grandmother did beyond the degrees beyond the paycheck beyond the cars beyond the house they weren't looking for a job they knew they had work to do and every morning when they got up in the morning here's when they would sing for mystics verse number one that Jesus was walking along and he saw a blind man this is how grandma flipped it remixed it if I can help somebody as I pass along if I can cheer somebody with a word or with a song then my living will not be in vain so many y'all got jobs but you ain't helping nobody God said I need folk who are gonna work who will help somebody make a better difference out of their life how much you to lift up your hands right where you are you need to work your gift you need to work your call you need to work your anointing and you're like a airplane stuck in a hangar and your engine is falling apart it's a book I want to recommend to you and then help me this week it's called caught between a dream and a job then many people never get to that rightful place because they forget that their job is not their career I want to lift those hands I want to pray over you which are calling called to do on the surface that make a whole lot of money but it brings a whole lot of reward as a matter of fact what it is that you've been called to do is hard for you to describe because you've never seen one almost feels a daunting task because you don't have a role model who operates at the level of what it is you've been gifted and called and assigned to do goddess and when that you can't go to work if you just transform a block you live on you would have the body of Christ just with your testimony if you stop at contrived you just told it nineteen people would be set free if you stop acting like you ain't never been through a whole riff ik life stop trying to fool us like everything is peaches and cream and really talk about what it is God has done in your life it would help you go to work lift your hands as high as you can god I pray for every person with lifted hands and you'll do something for them they're greater than their job but they are smaller than their call thank you dear Lord that you've been stretching them in prepping them for the next season of their life Satan whatever you've done to try to disrupt our peace and our sensibility we call it back in Jesus name in the Blessed people of God I want you to clap your hands and give God glory come on come on I want you to clip like you know you got work to do that's the wrong Church come on if you know there's an assignment of your life I want you to clip like you know there's some things God has put to your hand that you cannot die until you complete the assignment all I need to hear the sound of greatness in this room I'm hearing the sound of mediocrity I want to hear the sound of those who are called to do something great you're sent to your feet stand to your feet please sir please me this is an invitation with your highness room this is an invitation I'm extending my hem to you I want to shake your hand now I want to welcome you to the household of faith I need to tell you something before anybody talks to you the gift you have the gift you have nobody else in this room has the call on your life is gonna make us a better Church we are good church but once you get active we gonna become a great Church with you I in this room where the honest room and today you understand that your gift has been in a hanger it's been in storage it hasn't been moved and you feel almost like it's falling apart because of how long it's been resting and lying dormant but now in this season you want to get right with God you want to become actively involved in the church you want to become connected to the ministry I want you very quickly don't think about nobody around you at 7:30 I talked about freedom from fear in this room at this moment I want you to excuse yourself I want you to slide out of that out now did that rule come down and out give me your hand like you know this is where I gotta put my gift to work come on sure come on Club games god bless you come on where you are come on quickly you need to join this church you need to get saved you've been sitting on your gift come on come on come on careful I can't stand you either come on quickly quickly quickly I got a job for ya I got something for you to do you got a wild koala stay where you are with young this room and you have never given your life to Christ and the day you get Mehdi to make the greatest step of your life come on come on wherever you are if you in your spirit you know without a doubt God is calling me to a higher level he's upgrading me to another place I need somebody to clap your hands at least at least five to nine more of you who are not yet safe five to nine more of you who have not yet given your life to Christ and I gonna get up off of it I know we running out of time amen but your life is so valuable to me amen that I hold up the whole next service just to you get to this altar because God needs you in this ministry he needs you working for him he needs you full-time for his gift and for his assignment where you are in this room whether you are in this room you are not saved you do not have a church home I need you to come very quickly do me a favor empowerment help me please they they trying to hire trying to play coy but they out there I'm waiting on five to nine people to come in this room would you please do a 360 around you make sure
