Retro Games on the STEAM DECK! | JMachen Game Card

let's take a look at this this was sent over to me by Jay Mackin J Matson and it is apparently a batter Sarah based emulation SD card Philistine deck this is a steam deck this is available to buy on AliExpress I'll put a link down in the description below in the description on AliExpress it is 100 Plug and Play which is nice it supports multiple devices but it's showing it with the steam deck and it says it's a 256 gigabyte game card pre-installed with more than 43 000 retro games no downloading no installation just plug and play pre-install 70 plus console emulators 43 000 games NES SNES PS1 PS2 PS3 that's gonna be interesting this is the best gaming card for handheld game console with window systems you can find will bring you the best game content and gaming experience let's find out so here we have a steam deck let's power on the steam deck so in theory I should be able to plug this in and play Let's test that theory plug no maybe I have to reboot it [Music] also no I'm guessing we're gonna have to boot this into the boot menu and choose the SD card so let's shut it down completely and to get to the boot menu hold down the volume down button and press the power button let go of the power button keep hold of the volume down and there we go so we've got SD cards there at the bottom let's choose that okay that's promising nice right that's not my definition of plug and play but hey it's not difficult Plug and Play a feature of a computer system that allows an electronic device to be used as soon as it is connected to a computer thanks for clearing that up voice over Steve right let's see what we got on here all right we've got 43 552 games so there is over 43 000 games no favorites we've got abstract CPC I'm not gonna go through them all let's just flick through maim that's always good Atari or Atari Lynx Jaguar oh Wonder Swan nice commodore 64. PC engine Nintendo Game and Watch stupid Nintendo N64 and 64 DD what's that GameCube Wii two games there'll be a reason for that gonna be quite hard to emulate all Dreamcast 20 games all right it's got what you would expect to have on here PlayStation Pro PlayStation 3. a one game come on let's see what that one game is Tomb Raider trilogy well while I'm there let's see if it plays PS3 takes a long time to load up fans ramping up I'm just gonna go and have a little snooze while I wait for this this is like waiting for a spectrum game to load but without the exciting noises [Music] oh wow I'm not sure how long that took but it was a long time I'll put it on the screen somewhere better be worth it oh you are joking I mean I don't know if you have to do this every time or whether it's just the first time you do it I've got an important luncheon appointment to get to I don't really I'm just if I did I wouldn't make it okay we're in it's either crashed or it's going to take another three minutes right I can't be bothered waiting for this any longer it's been over 10 minutes now and it's the game still hasn't started I think I'll stick to playing that on PlayStation 3. how do I quit I wouldn't like that I've got a fatal error yeah doesn't play Playstation 3. let's try something a little bit easier do Super Nintendo [Music] I mean what we'll say is there are a lot of games they don't all have the artwork in fact none of them do [Music] and I think it is quite easy to get the artwork for these so kind of lazy let's try Chrono Trigger or Chrono Trigger oh that's cool it's got the bezels though around the edges not sorry I don't know what I thought this game was but it certainly isn't this anyway it seems to play that one fine but I don't know what I'm doing so I'm going to quit after that let's do Contra 4. no countra 4 doesn't work I'm not having much luck here am I let's try Contra three it did say beta or beta or however you pronounce it ah so maybe Contra 4 is doesn't work [Music] [Applause] all right well I'm terrible at that game but it handled it perfectly but it's a stupid game so it doesn't really matter try something that I know is difficult to emulate and that is Goldeneye it usually struggles and the opening sequence when James Bond starts walking on from the right hand side [Music] foreign [Music] [Applause] [Applause] it's really hard to control this [Music] yes I'm terrible at that one as well let's see how it handles Dreamcast I mean this isn't the best selection of Dreamcast games if I'm honest let's give Crazy Taxi ego I hope it's the one with The Offspring and guide religion on the soundtrack [Applause] foreign [Applause] games are on it Super Mario All Stars and The Legend of Zelda let's try Super Mario All-Stars 1993. oh I see [Music] uh so this is a Wii game with the original Super Mario's I didn't know that this is not gonna be difficult to emulate then is it [Music] [Laughter] what a stupid game shush right to summarize it's pretty good shush the music's irritating though for what this costs 43 pounds I think you're basically paying 0.1 P per game which isn't bad I mean obviously I own all of those games legally anyway so I could just rip them myself and you you could build this yourself bataser is not a difficult thing to put together so you could quite easily create an SD card for less than that 43 quid it's just it's already done for you so it's not bad it's not bad and for me to say that it mustn't be bad but thank you Jamaican for sending that over to me and thanks everyone for watching I'll see you next time why did I just do that [Music]
