hands together for tiffany ricker for every single thing that she's done for our kids not just this weekend but for for the last year and such an amazing amazing job uh it's been so exciting i do want to i do want to just let you know what's happened this weekend uh so we had an amazing kids sermon our service last night uh with uh with an amazing speaker and what happened afterwards is we had one uh one person get baptized and three actually received the holy ghost such an awesome awesome testimony and so i don't want to hold anything up but i hope everybody drank enough espresso for today because it's about to get crazy um so i just want to introduce tiffany for the first game that we're gonna do so let's put our hands together for sister tiffany all righty are you guys excited for a rescued so i feel like that was the best one that we should probably do right yeah and all day we've sang some awesome songs like we just sing the song power in the name remember there is power in the name of jesus remember that was an awesome song too and what's so awesome about that song is it talks about the power that's in the name of jesus so because of that power that he has he has the ability to do anything that we can ask or that we can think do you believe that fc kids do you believe that adults yes yes and so when i think about the word rescue you know if you're maybe you're on the playground or you're in your house and if you like fell down or something like oh and you hurt yourself you would probably say mom or grandma or dad or grandpa whoever's keeping you or watching you and if your mom your dad or grandma and grandpa heard that do you think they would say that's just my kid that i love so they're hurt but i'm sure they'll take care of themselves do you think that your mommy or your daddy or grandma grandpa would do that no way if they heard you say mom help they'd say that's my baby and they run to you and they would take you and pick you up and care for you right [Applause] so that's the same thing that we can do with jesus so when we have a problem or a situation we don't know where to go we can say jesus [Applause] if we're afraid and we don't know where to turn we can say jesus [Music] because he cares so when you hear when he hears your voice and you say jesus i need your help he's gonna say that's my kid that's my child that i wrapped myself in flesh i came down and i died on a cross for your sins because he loved you so when you call on his name he wants to help you and it doesn't matter how big or how small the prayer may seem because god cares so if you've lost your most favoritest toy in the whole world my favorite toys were barbies when i was little and he would say oh jesus i can't find my most favorite toy in the world do you think god hears your prayer yes because he loves you so he hears you because you are precious to him so when he hears you pray for that toy he says i'm gonna help you because i love you or when you go to school and you're thinking oh jesus i'm so nervous today's my first day or maybe you were already in school and you're saying god i'm just nervous today i don't know what to do and you can pray say jesus i need your help he's gonna come and help you because he loves you and one of the great because in the way he's rescued you out of a situation that you don't know how to get out of and one of the greatest ways that jesus came and rescued us not just you but every person in this room he came down from heaven and he died on a cross and for our sins so that we could receive his spirit inside of us and that we could have the holy ghost and we could be baptized and we could be with him forever in heaven so that is the ultimate which means it's the greatest way that we can be rescued or saved so if you believe that and you're thankful let's just clap our hands and when we sing this next song let's just think about the words because we want god to know that there is nothing better or child who has never been who whose imagination of the power of god hasn't been belittled by this world and by our own logic i'm asking you god to move in this place i'm asking you jesus name to touch every single need in this house and every single need on this board whatever your will is god we're clinging to that wherever you want to go we're going to flow with you in the name of jesus as your restrict the move of god and so i want to take a step of faith and challenge people in this room right now because there's more faith with these kids than anywhere in this world i want to know if there are any needs in the house and he needs physically mentally emotionally spiritually and i want you to come to the front i tell the young people all the time there's nothing special about the about the altar what's special is the pews and the aisles in between because that's when the faith begins to take motion if you need a need in the house right now i'm asking you to come to the front and we're going to have these kids pray for you and we're just going to watch what god does with faith like a mustard seed he'll move your mountains so i want you to come right here i want you to find sister tiffany and she's going to lead these kids into a place of prayer all right so come don't let fear hold you back from the miracle that god has a sword for you right now don't let age restrict you from the miracle that god's got for you right now because i'm telling you things will change in your life if you let god do it don't stand in the pews make your way to the front and i promise you on the pew here at the altar let's just continue to love the lord right now god is doing amazing things you know sometimes the lord will just meet you right where you are [Music] it's just like god to meet you at the altar or to meet you in the pew or to meet you at home or to meet you on the job or to meet you on the road i want you to know the lord is pursuing after you he loves you he's looking for you he's interested in you he knows what the you that he has designed for you looks like oh i don't want to live beneath the me that god has in store for me you're doing the right thing church you're doing the right thing the holy ghost feels good right here i know that i know the service is lingering but the king of kings the creator of the universe the the god that we serve is in this house changing lives [Music] he's our rescuer and he's rescuing right now hallelujah hallelujah lord i want you god lord i need you today hallelujah hallelujah glory glory [Music] hallelujah hallelujah praise your wonderful name perhaps the lord's dealing with you right now perhaps there are some thoughts coming to your mind perhaps there's some changes that the lord's been dealing with you about that you haven't quite decided to make yet this is a great time to just ask the lord hey lord are you serious about that hey lord is this really a big deal hey lord it's just one or two times a week lord i only do it i used to do it five times a day but now i only do it one time a day do you really want that last one time a day do you really want everything i have do you really want that next step do you really want me to say lord i'm sorry for everything that displeases you mighty talk you know how all this started tonight you know what initiated this do you know what kicked this off how many of you have heard of the life groups here at first church many of you have heard about life groups life groups are where lives get changed it's where relationships are built it's where we get the word on a one-on-one it's where we can ask questions and and we can tell our story this started from a life group where a young person came for the first time to a live group and they got introduced to the things of the lord and it spurred a lot of questions and then they had some answers and then they felt the holy ghost began to move on them and then they received the gift of the holy ghost and then they decided it's time to be baptized in the name of jesus christ this is what this is all about this is how lives are changed hallelujah yes that could be you hallelujah [Music] that's a brand new creature in christ let's worship with her can we just worship with her hallelujah glory glory hope [Music] her first minute in the kingdom of god and she's a worship leader hallelujah [Music] [Music] for you my oh hallelujah i'm reminded of a story about a man who his in the the other side of 50 years old went to the doctor for a stress test goes into the waiting room and his appointment was to be at eight o'clock sharp and doctor made it very clear be here at eight o'clock in the morning 8 15 rolls around he's looking at his watch i've got things to do i'm an important man it's 8 15. don't you hate it when doctors do that kind of thing 8 30 rolls around nobody's coming said hello nobody's told him anything about what's going on [Music] he's beginning to get pretty aggravated as many of us would if our time was so disregarded 8 45 it's really starting to build by nine o'clock he was living he decides i'm gonna tell that doctor what what i think about this situation he holds himself back things on his neck are popping he's feeling it he's going to do it finally at about 9 15 he burst into that doctor's office and says doctor i can't believe you you told me to be here at eight o'clock start for that stress test and it's 9 15 what are you doing [Music] he said sir that was your stress test [Music] some of you came to church this afternoon and you said god i need a word from you you said god i need you to touch my heart today god i've got some major decisions i need to make it and i need that preacher to preach a message to me that'll grab my heart i've got news for you today that was your message [Applause] that was your word from the lord that was your opportunity to reach out and get a hold of the things of god and have god make a one-on-one with you and and to to do the things that we needed to do it won't be long and we're going to hear a trumpet sound don't wait for a certain sound for a certain sign that says now's the time to get close to me don't don't wait till mom and dad and grandparents are here to decide to get baptized in jesus name you need to get baptized as soon as you can find some water you need to follow the word of god don't wait don't wait don't wait until you can get with your dad or your mom to ask them to forgive you for what you've done do it right now god would you wash me and would you forgive me i don't need to wait on anything i need to do what i know to do and i need to do it right now praise god can we all stand you know we have certainly been in the presence of the lord today i believe miracles have taken place today [Applause] [Music] i hope that the lord walking through these aisles hasn't passed you by if you have not had an opportunity to investigate what life groups can do for you i want to encourage you find somebody here at first church that can walk you through the process of learning the word of god developing relationships relationships that will draw you closer to god instead of further from god relationships one with another and relationships with the lord this is a great place to call home it's a great place to call home praise god praise god [Music] [Applause] i want to thank every one of you for all of the hard work that's gone into the services the preparation that you've made god has honored that today with his presence i know we we just totally scrapped the whole schedule we didn't receive an offering today in a in the fashion that we normally do but all of those of you that want to participate in supporting the things of god you know how to do that there's ways to do that you can give online you can you can text to give you can you you know where the envelopes are and how to get it to an usher thank you those of you that are joining us online i appreciate your presence and being a part of what god is doing right here you're an important part of what the lord is doing you're a part of the family here praise god [Applause] when we pray when we pray let's pray that god would continue to lead us [Music] our children our teachers and our schools our leaders that have a huge impact on what happens to us in our life we don't have long church we don't have law you say i'm young i've got my whole life in front of me my dad used to tell me there's a cemetery full of people that said tomorrow tomorrow tomorrow oh brother mccool you're just trying to scare me call it what you want to the lord is coming and if i've got 50 years i don't have as much time as i'd like it's going to surprise me i want to walk on streets of gold i want to meet my savior i want to serve everywhere mighty god we love you and we thank you for your goodness and for your mercy thank you for the phenomenal phenomenal touch that we've experienced from you today thank you for the offering that we'll receive throughout the different mechanisms with which we will receive it bless that gift we ask that you would bless that giver god multiply it for its intended purpose god we pray that you would be with all of our life groups god every one of them that are reaching homes there's there's a home and a life group that's open for you nearby see someone to hook us up to that thing god bless each one of those groups bless all of the ministries our opportunities to serve i pray that you would go before this wonderful church prepare a way for them god i pray that this would be a week of blessing such that they have never ever ever ever known and lord bring us back right here in the house of god throughout this week and next week we love you in the wonderful name of the lord jesus christ praise god jesus name thank you so much for being here and if if this is your first second third time here first church and your guest thank you so much and publicly thank uh our next gen pastors kento and bianca they've they're incredible they're incredible i do want to highlight that if you've been a part of this if you followed our journey this is the first year that uh david and stacey myers are our children's pastors for years and have done such an incredible job year after year after year here and they've done an amazing job and they passed the baton on this year to tiffany and steve ricker and i would like to publicly thank steve and tiffany rickard for everything they have done the teams they have built the production team this takes a lot of work if you don't see all this this is a lot of effort from every from the the the praise and worship team to tiffany seems to build production all that and so i know this is a little unconventional and we didn't return our ties and offerings and we're going to put a graphic behind so you can feel free to just get online and partner with us and if you're used to returning online our ushers will bring the box and we're going to put it right up here up front and just as you on your way out if that's how you feel comfortable returning you go ahead and do that but as you can see we have invested quite a bit into our students because they're the future right they're the ones that are going to replace in my generation the generation before me and so we have invested a lot into
