I meant Story-driven of course. Oops :)

I’ve been a live long fan of Star Wars, ever since seeing Empire at 4 y/o. Especially the practical space ship effects stole my heart. These films are what made me become a filmmaker.

With this film I wanted to channel the passion I have into a fan film that was story driven, as opposed to action centric. I wrote a script that I felt was doable, and then kept writing until it scared me... and that is what I made!

I had to use the practical space ship effects, to pay homage to what started it all for me. We used store bought models, which we weathered and shot against a green screen.

We also had the help of the Dutch Garrison, of the 501st legion. Having actual stormtroopers on set really makes the experience so incredibly cool. I was geeking out all the wat through!!

I was able to do so much stuff I only dreamt about before, because everybody wanted to help on the Star Wars movie. It opens a lot of doors, made us friends, taught us hundreds of lessons, and was one of the best things I’ve ever gotten to do.

I hope you like it, and feel a little of that passion come through :)

P.s.: There are a bunch of references in the film, of course, wonder if you guys catch them all :)
