Please note that this website is currently a work in progress! Lots of interesting data and statistics to come.
It was a tough/rough shoot especially for steadicam. Not my best work but it was a great learning experience and Iโm happy with how the final turned out given everything. The first day I flew had gusts above 40mph which made steadicam rather useless most the time
Was just using my Steadicam Zephyr so had to make some creative choices on the camera build to stay under weight or at least not too far over. We used an Arri Alexa Mini with Cineovision Anamorphics.
Edit: thanks for my 1st silver! :D
Edit: Thanks for all the praise/hate/comments. I really appreciate it. However want to point out again. I was only the steadicam op/crane head op. I had no hand in the writing/creative of this project. Most praise goes to Jamie and Jason and those who poured weeks/months of their lives into this.
What Iโm always curious about with fan fiction films is... do you get permission from the studio to use their characters/ general IP?
And how does one get funding? My dream project is to make a Star Trek origin fan film on the Borg, but I know that I personally do not have the money for a project like that. I heard somewhere that for some fan films thereโs stipulations that you can only use your own money to fund them. thereโs a SWcYouTube channel Iโm thinking of but whose name escapes me that I believe this was the terms that Lucasfilms gave them.
lol @ the Willhelm scream ๐
Dude this is phenomenal. The amount of lightsaber action is just fine, considering Obi-Wan really is trying to not use it at all.
Beautifully shot and Jamie is on point as always.
Bravo, guys. Bravo!!!
I loved this. Donโt stop creating I had goosebumps the whole time!
Great work! What was it like working with JAT? I'm always a fan of his work
Did I spot James Arnold Taylor in there? I couldnโt watch the whole thing at work but swear that was him.
Great shots, thanks a lot for sharing!
You can just feel the passion and love coming through. SW fanfilms were how I got started in filmmaking and I'm so glad to see them alive and well!
Who is this Jamie I keep reading about and why does he do Star Wars fan films all the time? Is he a working professional when not doing fan films?
