[Music] that's 71 years of ministry and service 71 years of kinship a friendship a relationship 71 years of god being awesome 71 years of excellence and god doing more than we ever expected september who goes over and beyond at the church in their community or in their career we will honor those individuals on this day we want everyone on board as we set sail into 71 years of fellowship [Music] what's going on family good evening to everybody i'm so so excited i'm so so thrilled that we have made it to another wednesday night tell everybody press share welcome to another refuel tonight i pray that your families well lord knows i hope with all that's going on in the world that you your children your parents your siblings your loved ones that everybody is well well we're back again for another refuel and here's what i want you to know tonight although we are getting ready for our refuel we're going to do something like what we did last week we had a refuel throwback because i've had lost in my family literally uh within the last month and a half we've lost four family members i've had two aunts uh an uncle and a cousin to pass and so last week we played and i want you to go back and watch it if you missed it last week we played let's talk about grief it was a lesson i did last year uh through our let's stay anchored series but as we near the installation no we couldn't just treat this like a regular wednesday the lord laid it on my heart to go back and play the first message of 2020 um for us tonight so the first message of 2020 was entitled we'll see of course my first sunday on my first day rather as pastor was december 31st 2019 and that was a watch night service but that sunday we joined together as pastor and people for the first time and the lord laid it on my heart to share a message uh we'll see the text was blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see god so god gave me some interesting things to share with the church on that day and as we near uh our installation weekend and i said hour because this is a moment for us all to come together uh to celebrate what god is doing in the life of fellowship as a whole and so as we near the installation this weekend i thought it was fitting to go back and have another refuel throwback and let's listen in literally listen in to what god was telling us on the first sunday of 2020 because i believe some things that were said in that message are still so relevant for now so i pray that you're blessed tonight but before we jump into that message i want to pray with you and then secondly i want to give you an opportunity to give my heart goes out to all of our members all of you who are experiencing a tough time whether it be loss of family whether it be sickness or you just trying to balance it all what do i do what do we do how do i keep my kids all right how do i manage my marriage how do i figure out what's next how do i find clarity and silence and solitude in a world that's so noisy and so crowded with so many distractions i'm praying for you let's pray and then we'll give god tonight we come to you um humble we come with humility tonight we come humbled tonight because we realize that everything that we have and all the strength that we will need to go forward comes from you so lord we pray tonight that you will hear our prayer we thank you for your forgiveness and your grace we thank you for giving us access to you through your son jesus christ and tonight although it's a refuel throwback i pray that you speak a fresh word through this preaching experience god would you touch the loved ones of our church family that are going through grief that are walking through sorrow going through sickness for those who've had to step into caregiver roles and caretaker roles god i pray that you will give us what we need for the journey bless us surround us in your grace and your mercy and remind your people o god that they are never ever ever alone cover them in the name of jesus we pray and let everybody who believes god is still able shout a man amen and amen come on it's time to give we praise god tonight would you join me in giving a 20 seed as you are able if you're not able do what you can but i want to challenge all of you tonight who tune in by faith as always that faithful few who come back and want to grow want to learn that make time for god i thank you and not dare try to do it without you you make this church strong you make the church the church because you are the church the building has been temporarily closed but the church has always been open throughout the entire pandemic let's jump into this message tonight um we'll see the first sunday has passed the first sunday is pastor not my first day is pastor but my first sunday as pastor god gave me this message we'll see and let's see what we were talking about back then and if it still has any relevant relevance right now i love you and i'll see you in a minute peace peace it's preaching time and i invite you to stand as you're able to stand and come with me to matthew chapter 5 verse 8. this is a special day not just because it is the first sunday of the new year but this is my first time sharing with you as pastor in the preaching moment so i've been very prayerful about what god wants me to share and such on such a special special day matthew chapter 5 verse 8 and it reads like this blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see god thank you you may be seated blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see god i want to talk today from this thought very simply for a few moments if you're quiet i'm gonna preach along if you help me i'll preach short i want to talk today from this thought very simply we'll see we'll see we'll see tell your neighbor beside you even if you don't know him or don't like them tell them we'll see we'll see a few years ago i called myself being fancy and i wanted to surprise my wife and take her on our anniversary to los angeles because we discovered that pj morton was having a concert on our anniversary date so i called myself being smooth deacons i wanted to i wanted to get her on our anniversary take her to hear one of her favorite artists one of our favorite artists pj morton and he was performing ironically on the day of our anniversary i said god you're looking out for a brother and so we went to l.a and we were excited to see pj martin on the day of our anniversary it was my gift to her to go watch pj martin and there were a couple of things i did not know when i took her initially to see pj martin um um pj doesn't allow any chairs in his venue so the entire concert you stand for the majority of the concert so we're in there early an hour early so we can get a good seat i thought we ended up getting there early to get a good place to stand so then i'm waiting at seven o'clock i know he's about to walk out and there's an opening act that i did not pay to see comes on the stage and performs for almost 30 to 45 minutes feet are burning on fire by this point irritated because i did not come here to see anybody else i came to see pj martin so then i just knew as soon as he exited the stage this young man was phenomenal i just didn't pay to see him so i just knew immediately pj was going to rush on the stage you all it was 30 more minutes before pj morton graced the stage and as soon as we saw him the crowd yelled and cheered our phones went out we all started recording all of those hits in those classics that he's written we absolutely were so enchanted by his presence that we forgot how bad our feet were hurting we forgot how long we had waited we forgot of all of our aggravations and irritations through the opening acts because finally what we wanted to see the whole time was on center stage everything we wanted to see was right there before us and it made us forget the pain of the weight because what we paid to see was right there on stage and i i need to tell us today church that god sometimes moves the same way your god is the god is the headliner god is the main attraction but there are times where opening acts are on the stages of our lives that we really don't care to see and our patience wears thin waiting on god our faith wears thin waiting on god but when god shows up god has a way of making us forget all the pain that we've endured while we were waiting on him to show up all i wanted to see was pj martin and in my spiritual life this year 2020 all i really want to see is god even this sunday i don't know what brought many of us to church today i don't know what you came to see today but i need to warn you in the introduction of the message is that i am just a opening act as good as the choir was they are just opening acts but but the main attraction in this church is not reginald wayne sharp jr the main attraction in this church is not fellowship chicago's choir or any deacon or any preacher or any leader the main attraction is jesus christ and this year i don't know about you all i want this year is to see god like i've never seen god before and i also need to tell you before we all run around hollering 20 20 vision is perfect vision and god allowed us to walk into 2020 and we're about to see perfect vision 2020 is not perfect vision perfect vision does not exist but 2020 vision is a sharp clear vision when a person has 20 20 it means their vision is sharper than it's ever been it's clearer than it's ever been and i need to tell y'all something this year oh i hope you listen god does not need things to be perfect for him to clear some stuff up and some of us are about to see god so clear in our lives that we won't even have to explain how we made it how we attain certain things how we started working at certain jobs god is going to move and it's going to be so clear to you this year and if i'm not by myself somebody right now ought to lift your hands in the sanctuary and say god i want to see you i don't care about who came to church i don't care who the new pastor is god as long as i can see you i want to see you in my community see you in my family see you when i go to work see you while i'm driving see you while i'm walking around mariano see you when i'm up and down a window shopping on the magnificent mile i want to see you this year am i by myself in this house because i promise you the mistake many of us make is we love god's presence but we don't like god's presence and some of us are like my little god daughter whenever we're at the table her three-year-old little self so precocious and so smart she's three going on 22 and she'll sit at the table with us and she will only go to the people that have her have their phones out because she really doesn't want to be with you but y'all know how these little children are these little children that just came from heaven in this latest decade all they want is what's in your hand and a whole lot of church folks are the same way you only go to god for what's in his hands you want his stuff you want his blessings you want his power you want his miracles but i'm in the crew this year god if you don't do anything for me tangibly or even financially just let me have you because if i get you i'll get a new job if i have you i have the peace and the joy and the strength that i need as the deer pants for the water so my soul longs after you that's psalm 42 then psalm 90 says thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations y'all ain't feeling that psalm 91 puts it like this he or she that dwells in the secret place of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the almighty the picture is of a mother inc eagle that has her egolets covered under her wings and whatever predator or storm seeks to wipe out those little eaglets the storm the water the predators can't even touch the little eaglets because the eaglets are so close to their mother so safe under the mother's wings that whatever yeah i feel like preaching whatever would come to kill them can't even find them and some of us are alive right now i'm trying to calm down but my soul is jumping like this some of us are alive right now because god has covered us and shielded us not because you wanted his stuff but because you've been in his presence and that's all i'm trying to tell you this year is that we're going to see god do some things that shock us you better get ready get ready to see god clearer than you've ever seen god before and if that's your prayer today you're in good company you're in the right house because our text is tailored to teach us some lessons of how we see god do y'all want to know or no jesus is teaching here in the beatitudes to be attitudes literally mean supreme blessings jesus's first sermon he opens talking about how blessed people are and we know he's not talking to a major crowd because in verse one of chapter five it's still in your bible unless you tore it out it says when jesus saw the crowd he went up left the crowd and sat down with his disciples he left the crowd he went up when he left the crowd he went up when he left the crowd he went up he when he left the crowd he went up god says too many of us are looking for crowds but as soon as you can leave the crowd your life will always go up stop waiting on everybody to agree touch and agree and see what god is doing don't try to fit into the crowd go out and that's where he gives his first sermon and my first sermon is preaching about jesus's first sermon my first sermon of 2020 we're looking at jesus first sermon and he says he gives all of these blessings these supreme blessings and here's what's ironic it causes the disciples to have an abnormal perspective look somebody said you need an abnormal perspective because jesus first word to them in verse 8 is blessed stop right there blessed blessed he's talking to people who feel cursed but he calls them blessed they're living under roman authority there is a leader in place starting wars to uh avoid impeachment oh that sounds familiar doesn't it roman government is adding high taxes to poor people roman government is leading with an iron fist and threatening anybody who would oppose caesar and caesar's government roman government was adding pressure and policies and politics in place that were making the people these poor jews feel like they were cursed and if it wasn't bad enough in politics even when they went to church they had to deal with hypocritical leaders the pharisees were pressing the law of god into the people instead of pressing the love of god into the people and the same people trying to hold the book up in front of everybody else jesus said their hearts were far from the book themselves they had spiritual pressures from crooked leaders who were telling people if you sow seventy dollars and run around the church three times there'll be a new tv in your front yard when you get home it was crooked leadership stand in this line for a hundred dollars standing this line for twenty dollars stand in this line if you need your cat to get some new food stand in this line if you want your goldfish to have some new fish food and all of this foolishness and it was making the people feel cursed but when jesus looked at him he said blessed we just miss your shout you because it doesn't matter how society makes you feel it doesn't matter how your family makes you feel it doesn't matter how trump donald duck i mean donald trump makes you feel it doesn't matter how this society makes you feel if god called me blessed then i'm gonna live what he called me i know why you're not shouting because in greek we don't know what blessed means blessed means in greek happy blessed means well off are you blessed means fortunate are you and i wish you knew sitting around this church today that you are blessed as you could be oh i wish you knew it because if you knew it you would smile one time and crack a crack a smile and let them see some white in your mouth somebody say i know i'm blessed i feel so bad for people that walk around like they've been sucking on lemons all day long like they smelling unseasoned chitlins you don't do nothing with joy you don't drive with joy you don't wake up with joy you don't eat with joy you don't drink your pop with joy you don't talk to people with joy you're just saying how you doing well pray for me you know it's hard out here for a christian pray for me you ain't never have a good day every day you get up on the wrong side of the bed whatever side you get up on it's the right side because you could be not getting up at somebody who knows that you're blessed give god a praise in this place for just how blessed you are i don't need a lamborghini to be blessed my fault is still rolling i don't need a mansion to be blessed the lights are on in my apartment i don't need a whole lot of money to be blessed i can eat i got clothes might say get an abnormal perspective i know you may not feel blessed but call yourself blessed it's an abnormal perspective it's not just that it goes even deeper you don't just need an abnormal perspective according to this verse you need a moral posture somebody say a moral posture what do you mean preacher is right then the text it says blessed are the pure in heart stop right there pure in heart what do you mean pure that word pure in greek means moral speaks of hope you're taking good notes integrity speaks of living ethically speaks of being just that we're pure means to be clean and clear blessed are the pure pure aware in heart what you mean my heart right here in my body no no no not this hard because this is your heart biologically but this is not your heart spiritually or theologically your heart literally means the core and center of your human essence who you are at the core of your personhood that's your heart it gets even deeper that word heart does not mean the place that blood flows into and flows out of not your arteries not your veins it's your heart what what is that preacher glad you asked your thoughts your passions your pursuits your plans your desires your appetites your affections your endeavors and your purposes and when your thoughts are not pure when your passions aren't pure when your pursuits aren't pure when your plans aren't pure when your desires aren't pure when your appetites are not pure when your affections are not pure when your endeavors are not pure when your plans are not pure don't expect god to bless what you're not doing with a pure heart [Applause] and we're living in a day where everybody can jump and shout over favor increase overflow this is my season and guess what we've stopped talking about over these years reverend jackson we stopped talking about living right [Applause] man looks at the outward pre-sharp i'm trying man looks at the outward appearance but god is still looking at the when i started preaching 14 years ago at the age of 15 years old there were preachers all over atlanta and georgia trying to tell me what to do to be an effective preacher you need to get a concordance you need to get a commentary you need to get some new translations you need to get an niv and an nlt and a message bible and a kjv and in kjv you need all of these books to make sure you're thinking and you know what my granddaddy gave me the best advice anybody gave me for ministry he's never been to seminary he's never been to college or a university at all but my granddaddy said this he said i don't care what you do whatever you do son keep your nose clean y'all so sleep you got a lot of folk got a whole lot of holy ghost but your nose is nasty all it means is try to live right try to treat people right try to do right and when god sees you trying he will honor your faithfulness somebody hollering at me around here that can't admit i'm not perfect but i'm trying i still close every other day but i'm trying places i used to go i'll go no more sometimes somebody i am trying [Applause] and god sees the try and he honors your heart now here's the tension in the text his attention to text attention in text is this why is pure in heart included on this list because this is a list digging brenda of underdogs blessed are the poor in spirit blessings are the hungry blessed are those who mourn blessed are those who who thirst but everything listen blessed are those who are persecuted all that's listed in the beatitudes the supreme blessings so why is pure in heart listed amongst the underdogs seemed like it doesn't fit mourning thirsty persecuted i understand knows but pure in heart god said yeah yeah unfortunately if you have a pure heart you qualify as an underdog i'ma tell you why three reasons number one people with pure hearts are often mishandled they're often misused and they're often misunderstood people take advantage of good people and that's why some of you all who are as sensitive as a feather try to act like you hard like a thug [Music] [Applause] don't come from me unless i sin for you try jesus don't try me and you walk around with this hard shell because you've been stepped over so many years that you're tired of people taking your kindness for weakness oh i wish i had some real folk around here your family couldn't handle the fact that you were given they didn't know how to stop asking they can't handle the fact that you're forgiving and kind because they're used to trifling people and here you are being sweet they don't know what to do with you but god said the reason i put pure in heart on the list is because if you keep your heart god says i'll keep you church folk don't know when to shout it is not your business to walk around life trying to swell up and prove to everybody that they better not mess with you and they better not touch you and they better not cross you and they better not step over you and they better look over you let god keep his word because somewhere i read no weapon formed against you would be able to prosper and i came to free somebody today who can give god praise because he's been blocking for you even when folk were trying to use you i said give god praise that he fights for you he defends you he vindicates you and every time somebody think they bout to mishandle you you pull out your fork and your knife and get ready to eat because somewhere i read he prepares a table not in the absence of our enemies [Applause] this is the season where you don't have to defend yourself anymore stop looking over your shoulder are they sincere are they for real no you'll be for real you be sincere let people be who they're going to be it's been trifling people since the beginning of time but my granddaddy put it like this when i get to heaven he ain't gonna ask me what they did to me [Music] he gonna ask me what did i do to them look at somebody say keep your heart pure and you got a god that'll fight for you you got a god that'll lift you and watch this he does it so that everybody can see you're his child [Applause] i'm trying to move on but i feel stuck [Applause] because some seasons we're getting ready to walk in too it's a payback season god is about to make up for the years that the locals and the caterpillar and the cankerworm tried to eat up behold i do a new thing [Music] now if you don't need god to do nothing you just sit there silent like a statue in a sanctuary but everybody else turn up and thank god that he knows how to pay you back he knows how to make up the time [Music] being steadfast immovable always abounding in the work of the lord for your labor is not in vain so abnormal perspective moral posture but if we keep tipping toeing through the text we're going to see some spiritual potential because the text says blessed are the pure in heart here it is for they [Applause] shall see god not they have seeing god not they are seeing god but the promise is they shall see god and let me tell you a secret lean up i want to tell you this you know you're growing in your faith when you can shout over what shall be that's a whole nother level of faith when you don't even have the job and you acting like you got it when you don't even have the prayer answer but you're living like it's already been a yes somebody around this house y'all excuse me because the person beside you might get loud and a little routed we bout to thank god for the next 30 seconds over stuff we don't even have yet yeah i don't know what god's going to do this year but i speak a shell over your life it shall be a blessed year the quickest place shall be made straight the rough place shall be made smooth the mountain shall be lowered the valley shall be exalted and the glory of god shall be revealed but they that wait upon the lord shall renew their strength for i reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared to the glory which shall be revealed for it does not yet appear [Applause] what you shall be so you might as well look around right now in your section because you know church folks sit around the same section every sunday don't look around your section look around your section and tell everybody i'm sorry i'm sorry don't tell them i'm sorry right now because all year long you're going to see me tearing this pew up over what god's going to do and if you don't do it i'm going to do it up here i'm thanking god for the building we shall build for the land we shall own for the new members that shall join [Applause] happy new year but i'm already in 2022 i'm already thanking god for 2025. i'm already thanking god for 2031. how about somebody that look like they're glad to be in church and say you gotta shall be written over your life whatever the enemy has planned he's gonna have to fight with the shall be of god [Applause] when i was little the first grace i learned was god is great god is good let us thank us for our food by our heads we all be fair give us a lot of daily amen when i got a little bit older and sophisticated they changed the prayer [Applause] lord i thank you for the food [Applause] i'm about [Applause] this praise ain't for everybody but i'm talking to the folk that know some stuff is on the way and you're not going to wait till it shows up to give god glory come on by faith thank god for new peace new relationships new business deals new money new increase new favor [Applause] i don't care what i see right now that doesn't matter i know what i shall see and watch this i shall see god that's a radical promise don't y'all know that's a radical promise because in exodus 33 verse 20 moses said god let me see you god said nah bruh no bruh nobody has ever seen my face and live god said no moses exodus 33 20. it's still in there unless you tore it out god tell moses tells moses in verse 21 hey what i'm gonna do i'm gonna hide you in a cleft of a rock and i'm gonna cover your face i'm gonna pass by and i'll lift my hand so you can see my backside you can't handle all my glory i just let you see me leave cause to see me show up it'll blow your mind [Applause] oh i just got something hot off the press most times you don't know it's god until he's done doing it you shall know the backside blessing you'll get that on the way home [Applause] john 1 18 says nobody has seen god except jesus who himself is god but the text says well we going to see god and god said sharp i don't know why you're so shocked because i'm always doing stuff you've never seen me do before [Applause] and in this season of your lives on this first sunday of 2020 all i want to tell you is get ready to see god do some things he's never done before you heard me but you ain't hear me i say get ready to see god do some things he's never done before get ready [Applause] to see god do some things he's never done before you're looking at me like you don't believe me can you look over your own life and see so many things that god has done for you that even you didn't think was possible so let me step into the role of a prophet and tell you god's going to do some stuff fellowship that nobody ever expected nobody's ever seen before nobody's ever experienced before don't you let anybody's memory keep you trapped in yesterday i ain't just talking to the church i'm talking to you don't you let your family's memory be a ceiling over your life let god know whatever you're doing in this season [Applause] it's a radical promise you're going to see them and here's what's so beautiful to me we just in chapter 5. it's 28 chapters in matthew and he says you're going to see god tell somebody around you you ain't seen nothing yet we're just in chapter five in chapter six jesus is gonna teach us how to pray in chapter seven he's gonna teach us not to judge anybody in chapter 8 he's going to calm some storms in chapter 8 many will be healed in chapter 9 two blind men are going to be healed in chapter 12 a man with a withered hand will be healed in chapter 14 he's gonna take five biscuits from pearl place and two pieces of tilapia and feed five thousand in chapter 14 he's gonna walk on the water in chapter 15 a woman with a sick daughter is gonna get crumbs from the masters table in chapter 17 a man's son will be healed in chapter 21 a fig tree is going to wither up in chapter 26 jesus is going to call judas a friend in chapter 27 he's going to die on an old rugged cross but in chapter 28 early on a sunday morning jesus is going to get up with all power in his hands shake your neighbor's hand like you're going to shake it off and say neighbor get ready to see what you've never seen before tell them eyes i have not seen ears have not heard and it hasn't even entered into the heart of men and women what god has in store for you if you're looking for a miracle if you see the invisible if you feel the intangible if you know the unknowable reach your hands as high as you can reach them and say the sky is the limit so what i can have is there anybody here get ready to see god you want to see god heal we're going to see god save we're going to see god deliver we're going to see god fight battles we're going to see god shock doctors we're gonna see god open doors we're gonna see god make ways we're gonna see god give joy we're gonna see god provide we're gonna see god protect we're gonna see god shield we're gonna see god bless we're gonna see god cover we're gonna see god keep we're gonna see god give us more land we're going to see god send new members we're going to see god break addictions do me a favor put your arm around your neighbor and if they don't want to be touched put your arm around your doggone self shake yourself rock yourself and say neighbor i don't care what you have seen get ready to see something new all over your life all in this city all over this church all in your body cause they high five three people say we'll see we'll see we'll see we're gonna see god take care of enemies we're gonna see god keep money in the bank we're gonna see god open new doors [Music] now put a praise on it like you already see it don't worry about who's sitting around you praise god for yourself [Music] appointed somebody like you got the holy ghost and tell them be not dismayed whatever betrayed you god will take care of you believe his wings of love about god will take [Music] but don't you wait until you see it to praise him i double dog tell you to tell your neighbor sos sos means scoot over some while i give god praise for my next level my next blessing my next healing my next miracle my next business [Music] [Applause] [Music] um [Music] don't play with it if this ain't your praise don't pray but i need you to find somebody you ain't found the whole service and slip your hand in their hand and say hey friend y'all ain't touching nobody tell them hey friend this next praise is not for me it's for you because god is about to do exceeding abundance [Music] [Music] let me hear you [Music] he's [Music] he's about to make [Music] for all the miracles [Music] [Music] oh [Music] how [Music] everyday that i see it [Music] keep your heart pure [Music] oh lord oh lord oh lord i i i think the lord was trying to tell us some church i think the lord was trying to tell us something i pray that you got some out of that tonight i pray you did i pray you heard what the spirit was saying to the church and we're still gonna see eyes have not seen ears have not heard all of the great things that god has in store for us and as we move into this installation weekend family specifically my fellowship church family do know it's not just my installation it's our installation this is a celebratory time for the entire church and so your presence virtually means so much because we'll see if all of us follow god trust god listen to god then this moment is so much bigger than myself and lady bree this is a historic moment in the life of fellowship chicago and i'm so excited that god let us pause and look back before we get ready to look forward to see all the good things that god has for us for those who don't know jesus christ tonight i want to let you know that he has so much more for you to see that your now does not have to dictate your next in that good that your condition is not your conclusion your failure isn't final and you're stumbling does not have to be the next scene of your life i want you to know in christ all things are made new he comes uh jesus comes was to have new life so that we can have abundant life and eventually when we die we can have everlasting life it is my prayer that you have access to all three of those new life abundant life and everlasting life but it only comes when you give god your yes through jesus christ so if you want to say yes to christ tonight if you want to become a follower of jesus christ tonight if you need to reconnect to the church or connect who are able to sow a 20 seed and if you're not able to do that do what you can but wherever you grow you sow i've said that before haven't i and wherever there's a promise there's a principle so you can't wait for god to fulfill all of god's promises and we don't live out the principles because obedience is better than sacrifice so literally god honors obedience over anything that you give or anything that you do god wants to know are you being obedient to my word are you doing your part because when you do your part god does god's part that's what i want to encourage you all tonight god bless every gifting giver and bless us all because we need it in jesus name amen family i want to encourage you as we get ready for installation weekend listen saturday 10 a.m central time pastor charles jenkins is bringing the installation message and a host of special guests from chicago and from around the from around the country are coming together to make sure this installation goes forth well so many mentors so many special special special guests are stopping by the ship they love us that much that some are even flying in even during the pandemic to make sure that they're present some are videoing in but either way they're showing their presence it will be a travesty to me if we do all this planning for such a historic moment and you don't even tune in so hey some of you all are vaccinated some of you have friends and family plan a watch party make it fun get some chips and some dill get some soda get some uh grape juice huh get some water get some sprite get some with some fizz in it have a good time and let's join together whether you do it alone in the comfort of your house or have a watch party with your church family make it fun it's a it's a memorial uh of the legacy of our church but it's also a celebration of the destiny of our church so it's gonna be so much beauty uh that's expressed together and i don't want you to miss it i don't want you to miss it i don't want you to miss saturday 10 a.m i don't want you to miss sunday 10 a.m dr you do smith jr my pastor is coming to bring the message it won't be a long worship experience but it's going to be a rich worship experience and then on tuesday night wednesday night and thursday night upcoming next week we have a plethora of special guests who are going to be stopping by the ship and i don't want you to miss any of it god knows i wish you could be in the building with us i wish we didn't have to push it back but i want to encourage you um i haven't heard a lot of feedback and pushback against it because most of us understand pastor sharp is trying to be wise pastor sharp is trying to care for us and love for us a love show love for us and but i have heard a few just one or two people who are just so upset i get it i'm upset too you're not by yourself so it's no need for me to try to explain it just know i'm upset too i want you to be in the room with me i want to see your smiling faces get those warm hugs but right now we want to celebrate later with everybody so we don't have to celebrate life now did you hear me i hope you did but i love you so much and i'm going to miss your physical presence in the room but let me feel your presence virtually so let's do this thing together you know how we do we're in this together and god is still able to do more than we ever expected fellowship i love you i pray god's peace power and provisions over your life receive the benediction lift your hands wherever you are may your struggles keep you near the cross may your troubles show that you need god may your battles end the way they should and may your bad days prove that god is good i pray your whole life proves that our god my god your god really is good until i see you on saturday morning peace peace and may god's love fill every area of your life love you much it's our church anniversary month fellowship is turning 71.
