people begin to praise and worship the lord there's nothing like that there's nothing can take the place of that there's nothing supersedes that when you see people young old in between whatever age you are it doesn't matter when when god begins to worship worship and begins to move through your worship that is something it's just a something you can't buy you can't earn it you can't make it up and some folks try to fake it but you can tell a fake you know a long way as far as you can see it but the real presence of god is it's real folks say well how do you know about that well it's hard it's hard to understand i don't try to understand it i just try to enjoy it amen that's right when i when i learned how to swim i didn't try to understand how the water you know holds me up i just enjoyed swimming in it and i don't understand all about how this works i just do i love it brother tyler i like it hallelujah i love it and i think god amen loves us when we love his presence god appreciates it when we love his presence god i believe god desires us to covet his presence and when we do hallelujah it's just like a little child climbing up in your lap and telling you i love you daddy or i love you mommy it's just like you're sitting there what can i get them today what could i give to them today to make them happy you know you could be like all this stuff let's go to walmart go to the toy department i mean i know some of you said no not me that's a nightmare but listen when we get into worship and praise and love on him amen it opens up the windows of heaven for blessings to us because the bible said he inhabits the praises of his people don't he and having some praise well i got to quit here this is brother tyler's time i don't want to steal brother tyler's time it's all the lord's time though brother tyler amen you're just sharing it with me tonight hallelujah praise god but right now we're going to give you an opportunity to give to the lord as you get your offering let's we remind you of the of the two services that's coming up uh for those that have gone to be with the lord tomorrow at one o'clock will be sister laverna uh will wiltshire's uh service at greenville pentecostal church and you can go visit if you don't you can't stay for the future go visit between 11 and 1 tomorrow and then tuesday from 12 1 10 to 12 at the uh lexington avenue christian church which is out on lexington avenue out toward the bowling alley on the left the big church sister wanda riordan will be there for visitation uh from 10 to 12 and then the funeral will be at 12 o'clock and and brother pumpkin said word to thank everybody for the prayers and and all your thoughts and and the kindness that you've showed him and his family and we continue to pray for the brother pumpkin and the family because when somebody's you've been with for many years that you love and so close to you it causes you know it causes a little uh emptiness there or a whole lot of emptiness sometimes but the lord can take care of that and he does that through the prayers of his people so when you pray and show your love then god amen answers those prayers and comforts those that are in need but right now brother job you know ushers will come we'll receive the offering tonight for the work here at egyptian road church and all the things that we do thank you lord jesus i love you lord let's everybody pray tonight father in the mighty name of jesus i thank you lord for the outpouring of your spirit lord i feel your presence in this house lord and i pray god that you would move in this service in a mighty way bless those that give tonight as you lord as they bring their offering as we receive the offering god that you would touch and move in the finances of your opportunity to be gathered among god's people i thought how that uh just a week or so ago we had a two-week revival in uh over in berea where whitney's family attend church thought we had a wonderful time in the lord over there i believe they said uh maybe six people prayed one got the holy ghost so we're thankful for that we're thankful for that but i thought how that uh for nine services i'm used to uh preaching with notes and really having everything just so so and uh i thought for nine services i preached without one note the lord gave me a scripture i would go preach and uh i thought how that one morning seemed like i woke up and i was dreaming of preaching this message as i woke up i could hear the words of this message going over in my mind and i could feel these scriptures rolling out of me and how that i never had that experience before but seemed like this morning they began to get back on my mind again i want to do my best to please the lord tonight and preach this how that he would have have me to bring it so i believe that tonight is a night of praise i said i believe tonight is a night of praise it's already tried to break forth in this service i said lord you don't even need me to preach this message it seems like you're already trying to move in this manner but he still wants someone to hear these scriptures tonight that's what i've got to bring you is the word of god i want to try to do as little of my own intellect my own ability sister judy and i just want to bring forth the word of god tonight and let him preach it all by himself he just needs me to be the dummy and him the ventriloquist he just needs a mouth for someone to speak through so if you will tonight go with me to isaiah chapter 61. isaiah chapter 61. i'm going to be start going to start reading in verse 1. isaiah 61 verse 1 the spirit of the lord god is upon me because the lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings into the meek he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted to proclaim liberty to the captives and the opening of the prison to them that are bound to proclaim the acceptable year of the lord and the day of vengeance of our god to comfort all that mourn to appoint unto them that mourn in zion to give unto them beauty for ashes the oil of joy from mourning the garment of praise for the spirit of spirit of heaviness that they might be called trees of righteousness the planting of the lord that he might be glorified looking back in verse three that one section is what began to deal with my heart the garment of praise for the spirit of heavenness most gracious heavenly father we come to you tonight in the mighty name of jesus god we pray that you would move in this place tonight i pray god that you would help me lord just to get out of the way and let you have your perfect way in this place tonight pray god that you would set at liberty them that are bound those that are sick we pray that healing would come to their body those that need salvation that their chains will be broken and they will come to know you as lord and savior i pray god that you anoint the ears of those tonight that are listening under the sound of my voice it's in jesus name we pray amen and amen the karma of praise for the spirit of heaviness and i thought tonight that we are living in a day in an hour that our people were laid down with all the cares and the burdens of this world i thought there was a time that we're living in right now that there seems like there's been a spirit of heaviness and it's set right down among god's people but i've come to tell you tonight that you don't have to be bound you don't have to be oppressed the enemy does not have to steal your praise the enemy does not have to silence you that's what he wants to do in this day in this hour is he wants to shut you up he wants to set you on that pew he wants you to be quiet he wants to bring a spirit of heaviness upon you he wants you to be so burdened down with the cares of this life that you feel like you cannot go on he wants you to be so consumed with everything that's going on out of this world in nothing and think that nothing can set you free that nothing can help you but i'm preaching to you tonight isaiah begin to prophesy about jesus jesus begin to read these scriptures in the new testament and i believe tonight that he wants you to know that you don't have to be burdened down that you don't have to have on this heaviness you don't have to take it he said i've given you a garment of praise for that spirit of heaviness and all you gotta do is just put it on i said all you gotta do is just put it on and when i began to preach this message not too long ago it come to me like this when i get up on monday morning i go in there in that closet and i pull out them scrubs those scrubs is what gives me the authority to go to my job it's what makes me look professional but you know what i could get those scrubs out i could lay them out i could iron them i could look at them i could think about how good it would be to wear them scrubs i could think what it would be like to fulfill that position and go to my job and maybe make a little bit of money but if i don't actively put those scrubs on then none of those things are going to come to pass and that's what i've come to tell you tonight if you've got a spirit of heaviness if you feel like you're burdened down you already know the word of god you look at the word of god you've tasted of his fruit you see what he can do but you never get up and get willing to actually put that coat on set the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness i don't have to be bound tonight i don't have to be oppressed tonight i just got to make up in my mind that no matter what comes my way i'm going to put that garment on it's a choice it's something that i have to choose to do it's something that i have to make myself do not every monday morning that i get up do i want to go in that closet and put them scrubs on and go to work not every monday morning do i want to have to get up and be gone out of that nice warm band but if i'm gonna reap the benefits of that job if i'm gonna make a living if i'm gonna have a have a life then i have to put those garments on and church if you're gonna be delivered from that oppression if you're gonna be delivered from that spirit of heaviness if you're going to be set free from how that the enemy has come against you then you're going to have to put on the garment of praise whether you feel like getting up or not you're going to have to put on praise whether you feel like going on another mouth you're gonna have to put on praise if you say i'm so bound i can't see my way through elon musk call me untie you're gonna have to put on that garment of praise you're gonna have to make up in your mind choose for yourself i may not feel it but i'm putting it on i may not understand it but i'm putting it on i may not be able to make it but i'm putting it on i'm putting it on a garment of praise for a spirit of heaviness you can set them clothes out you can look at them all day long but until you put them on you'll never fulfill that it's come to help you do a garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness are you heavy tonight put your praise on i said do you feel like you bound down tonight put the praise on and do you feel like you can't hardly go another mile then put your praise on do you feel like you can't live then put your praise on put on the garment of praise brother jeremiah come over to me and i said i'm gonna preach on praise tonight i said i i told whitney on the way over here i said he could probably preach it a whole lot better than i could won't you i said he may even have to help me so at one point if i just say german i can preach on this praise i know you can i know you can i feel like i i began to look around in this place tonight and i thought lord this i don't who is message for who is this for because it looks like everybody's praising but you got to understand that praise is not just a feeling praise isn't something that you just do because you want to today and you don't want to tomorrow you've got to choose to put on this garment of praise because he's given you this for that spirit of heaviness kelly if you'll put up psalm 150 on the screen i'm going to go there and preach a little while praise ye the lord praise god in his sanctuary praise him in the firmament of his power praise him for his mighty acts praise him according to his excellent greatness praise him with the sound of the trumpet praise him with the salt tree and harp praise him with the timbrel pray and dance praise him with stringed instruments and organs praise him with the loud symbols praise him upon the high sounding symbols let everything that hath breath praise ye the lord not one time when i read that did i read where it said praise god for what he's done for you praise god because he did something for you today not one time that i read in that verse in a chapter where it said praise him because he made me feel good today praise him because he's already healed my body praise him because he's already done these things not one time did i read that it said to praise ye the lord that's the commandment whether you are sick whether you are well praise ye the lord whether you are depressed or whether you've got joy praise ye the lord he didn't say it didn't say because i felt like it today it said to praise ye the lord and notice one other thing here it didn't tell you a lot of times now let me slow down here just a little bit it said praise you the lord praise god in his sanctuary praise him in the firmament of his power praise him for his mighty acts praise him according to his excellent greatness all of that he didn't say because of what he's done it's set because of who he is whether or not he ever moves for me again he's still worthy of all the praise whether or not he actually heals my body in this life he's still worthy of all the praise not because of what he can do for me but because he is god a lot of times our praise is contingent on whether or not god has moved for me you'll let that spirit of heaviness get on you you'll come to church you'll say well you've not moved for me yet so i'm going to sit down here and i'm going to wait to praise you no that's not what the bible said the bible said to praise him in his sanctuary praise him in the firmament of his power praise him for his mighty acts praise him for his excellent greatness praise ye the lord lord it don't matter if you move for me yet i'm going to praise you it don't matter if i'm sick in my body i'm going to praise you it don't matter what hell has come against me i'm going to praise you not because of what you can do but because of who you are because of who you are i give you glory because of who you are not because of what you've done for me because you never had to move for me you just did that because you were good you just did that because you was good he's worthy just because he is god because he is god notice here at the very first two or two or three chapters here actually the first two verses here of psalm 150 he dealt with praising the lord not one time in these first two verses did it mention the instruments not one time did it mention a lot of times we've got some of the best praise and worship in the country right here but i'm afraid redemption no church if you ain't careful you'll let the praise team come and do all the praising for you you'll let that organ over there do all the praising for you you'll let that symbol plant over there do all the praising for you and you'll sit back there like a bunch of spectators and expect us to praise down some kind of glory for you i've come to tell you friend it didn't command me just to praise the lord this commandment is for you and those pews when jeremiah is up here singing his heart out whether you like the song or not your hands ought to be up if you're able to stand to your feet you ought to be standing to your feet not because it's a song that moves you but because he's gone i said because he's god oh glory i said because he's god it don't matter if we sing mary had a little laugh praise god brother daniel he's still worthy of the praise whether you say this is not style of music or not you ought to give god praise because he's worthy because he's worthy because he's worthy absolutely praise him with those drums absolutely praise him with that piano absolutely praise him with that tambourine but before god before that chapter began to deal with those things he said praise ye the lord not don't let the tambourine do the praises for you vicky lou open your mouth and praise the lord jason don't let that simple plan do the praising for you open up your mouth and praise the lord we ought to come in here with the praise on our mouths i thought i thought me and whitney we go to the mountains to church i was thinking i wish some of our people would get this mentality there's his brother when he comes in the back door his hands automatically walk go to the graze up and he walks right to the front praising the lord walks right to the front i thought a lot of times without a i said lord help me to have that mentality because a lot of times i come into church i'm looking around to see who's there i'm looking to see maybe what kind of song they're going to sing i'm going to look to see who's going to hit the floor shouting first before i praise you help me to be like that brother because when he come in them hands went straight up and he walked right up the aisle and goes and stands at the front and goes to praise the lord that's the kind of mentality we're going to have to have church get your mind off everybody else around you jeremiah says what how do you say it your praise not nobody else's business well it ain't but i don't know what god has done for you but whether or not he's moved for you he's still worthy of the praise whether or not you've been delivered right now he is still worthy of the praise but instead we come in and we look at the ground we look at everybody else around us we say jeremiah i dare you to sing me happy i dare you to seeing something that's going to make me want to raise my hands i i dare you to make me feel good well guess what the holy ghost don't have to move on you the bible says to quench not the spirit the bible says to quench not the spirit i believe that grieves the holy ghost when he would come to deal with your heart begin to deal with you to stand up and worship and praise god and you sit there because you've not felt some kind of lightning bolt now let me tell you something a lot of our people we've got in this mentality that i'm not going to clap my hands unless i feel it i'm not going to raise my hands unless i feel it i'm not going to i'm not going to open my mouth unless i feel it do you know the bible calls this a sacrifice of praise that means even when i don't feel it i've got to do it now don't get me wrong now i do believe that there's a deepness in the power of god that we can get to and you can get carried away in the spirit but if you're ever going to get carried away in the spirit you're ever going to have the holy ghost move on you in a deeper way where you just where you just lose your mind and you just you don't care who's around you're what's going on you're first going to have to open up your mouth and you're going to have to praise the lord thank you brother i love it we praise him with the sultry and harp the timbrel and the dance and the stringed instruments and the loud symbols and all these things but before that he commandeth you to praise the lord it don't matter what you feel like today the word says to praise him you may not see that answer prayer just the lord said to praise him the lord it is a commandment church to praise ye the lord praise ye the lord let everything that hath breath praise you the lord those symbols don't have no breath in them that piano doesn't have any breath in it it don't have these instruments don't have any breath in them but everybody just take a deep breath there's the breath there's the breath somebody ought to praise him has the lord ever been good to you has the lord ever done anything for you and whether or not he's ever moved for you before is he not worthy i said is he not worthy lord i praise you lord i bless your name lord i've not seen you move but i praise you anyway praise you anyway praise you anyway [Music] read something to you how important that the praise and the worship is this actually came to me and i didn't even know it was actually in the bible just like this but when this message began to come to me the spirit spoke to me and said the singers will go before the battle the singers will go before the battle let me read that to you second chronicles chapter 20. let me start reading in verse 13. i've got a little bit of reading here keeley follow with me so they can read with me in all judah verse 13 second chronicles 20 and 13. and all judas took before the lord with their little ones their wives and their children then upon jehaziel the son of zechariah the son of benaya the son of jahl the son of mathaniah a levite of the sons of asaph come the spirit of the lord in the midst of the congregation so what this is saying jehaziel got moved on jehaziel got moved on the spirit came upon him and he began to speak and he said hearken you all judah and the inhabitants of jerusalem and thou king jehoshaphat thus saith the lord unto you be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude for the battle is not yours but gods at this point in time jehoshaphat moab and eamonn these great armies they come up against him and joseph hattie called a fast and the people began to pray and the man began to get moved on by the spirit of god and god began to prophesy through the man and said be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude for the battle is not yours but god's battle set yourselves stand ye seal and see the salvation of the lord with you o judah and jerusalem fear not nor be dismayed tomorrow go out against them for the lord shall or will be with you and jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground and all judah and the inhabitants of jerusalem fell before the lord worshipping the lord and the levites of the children of the coethites and of the children of the korites stood up to praise the lord god of israel with a loud voice on high and they rose early in the morning and went forth into the wilderness of tekoa and as they went for it jehoshaphat stood and said hear me o judah and the inhabitants of jerusalem believe in the lord your god so shall you be established believe his prophets so shall you prosper and when he had consulted with the people listen to this he appointed singers unto the lord and that that and that should praise the beauty of holiness as they went out before the army and to say praise the lord for his mercy endureth forever and when they began to sing and to praise the lord set an ambushment ambushments against the children of amen moab and mount savior which were come up against judah and they were smitten when they began to open their mouth and sing praises when we come into this place i know that the bible says in psalm 100 to come before his presence was singing to come into his courts with thanksgiving and all those things of that nature but you know why it's so important to do those things we battle out in that world all week long and when we come in here we begin to open up the praise of our mouth and these singers begin to go before us i believe that god begins to fight our battles i believe that when these singers begin down to sing the praises of god you ought to lift up your hands and say praise ye the lord for his mercy endureth forever and if you'll begin to open up your mouth and praise if you're a singer in this place tonight sister taylor when you get up here like i told them the other night when i preach this when you stand behind this pulpit you take this microphone in your mouth and you begin to open up say lord i'm reporting to duty i'm leading your people into battle jeremiah take encouragement tonight that when you begin to sing you're leading us to battle and as we begin to sing as we begin to praise the lord begins to confuse the enemy and here's what happens for the children of amen and moab stood up against the inhabitants of mount sayer utterly to say and destroy them and when they had made a end of the inhabitants of say here everyone helped to destroy another the enemy began to fight himself when they begin to praise when them singers begin to sing they begin to strike up their instruments those demons of hell begin to get a little bit confused i've pressed them all week i've afflicted their minds all week i i've i have rode them all week i've told them how they couldn't make it all week i don't understand this now how that they've gathered out one more sunday night and they begin to praise the lord and now i feel like fighting myself i feel like running and retreating if you're in the battle tonight you praise him right now if you're going into the battle you praise him when you're in the middle of the battle praise him and when you come through the ladder praise him i'm going to praise him now i want to praise him in the middle and i'm going to praise him all the way through it praise him all the way through it when judah came toward the watchtower in the wilderness they looked over they looked into the multitude and behold they were dead bodies falling to the earth and none escaped they were too caught up in that praise they was too caught up in worshiping and when they got down worship and they began to look over brother daniel began to walk over to that watchtower look out and they said where's those armies i see nothing but dead bodies i see nothing but but carcasses of the enemy when you begin to praise the lord if you'll just allow yourself to get caught up in praise when you begin to forget about that multitude of those demons that have encamped themselves round about you and you began to look up to heaven you said praise you the lord for your mercy endureth forever and you allow yourself to get caught up in that then when you look over you'll say where's the battle where's that enemy that rose up against me where's that sickness that come to devour me all i see is it's gone it's dead why don't you just stand to your feet tonight and say lord i may be going into a battle but i'm going to praise you right now i may be coming through this thing but i'm going to praise you i don't matter how hard the enemy pops me i'm going to praise you come on open up your mouth praise she the lord praise you the lord praise you the lord but i'm sick praise you the lord come on praise to the lord praise you the lord praise be the lord for your mercy and do it forever i'm in a battle with praising i come through the battle still praise him glory to god who's oppressed in this place tonight who said i feel like the enemies just wore me down put on that garment of praise i said put on the garment of praise say he's pressed me put on your praise you say i'm still i don't feel like it it's a commandment you better praise him i i don't feel like i can do it right now you better let those hands begin to praise him if you want the holy ghost you're going to have to praise him if you want to be set free you're going to have to praise him if you want to be delivered from the battle you're going to have to praise him if he wanted to fight for you you're going to have to praise him you fought this thing long enough why don't you just praise the lord because the battle is not yours so uh i thank god for folks that's got faith and just opens up and goes on amen i was talking brother jeremiah i was talking to the owner of the funeral home from down moreland and i don't know what church he attends you know what he told me he said we never did stop we never shut down we never wore a mask we never did anything that's what we should have done he said you know what he said he said some of us got sick we just stayed home till we got well we didn't spread it around but when we got well we just come on back to church i was thinking no they're not even they don't claim all these here gifts of the spirit we claiming all this faith that we claim and they just kept on having church hallelujah amen we're going to have church folks thank you jesus all right god bless you we love
