Rebuilding the San Francisco 49ers | Trey Lance BREAKS Rookie Records

my first realistic rebuild of madden 22 is the san francisco 49ers a team that really was super active in the offseason they traded around a lot and they ended up with a pretty good player starting quarterback in the future at a north dakota state trey lance took him at number three overall i wanna say and they were gonna be really competitive last year they were lucky to be in a position where they could trade up to that spot i think previously owned by philadelphia if i'm not mistaken a lot of trades were made now philly had the the sixth pick was it the i think it was the dolphins via the texans and then the eagles and dolphins swapped and then the 49ers traded for it a lot of stuff happened anyway the 49ers would have been really competitive in 2020 if not for being ravaged by injuries and now in 2021 i expect really big things for them it's just all going to depend on jimmy garoppolo and trey lance when did the keys get turned over to trey lance when does he get to drive the boat sooner rather than later i think as soon as he's even slightly ready you know throw him in there because he's going to be way way better and way more dynamic than jimmy garoppolo is going to be in that offense so let's go ahead and talk about the team and i will remind you guys to use code bengal when you buy tickets for anything with seat geek you'll save yourself 20 and let's go ahead and hop into this 49ers rebuild i usually don't point it out but probably one of my more brutal coach names of all time it's an interesting one but i'm starting trey lance right away and even though jimmy garoppolo beats him in the hairline department i think trey lance for the future is gonna have every other advantage cannon of an arm 91 throw power almost feels low 87 speed he's a tremendous athlete the throw power is going to get upgraded over the course of this thing same thing with accuracy trey lance just gives us a really really great shot to be super competitive right away especially as he develops and the receiving core is pretty nice george kittle arguably the best tight end in the nfl brandon iuke who's primed to break out this year in 2021 debo samuel if he stays healthy is a really good option as well especially good after the catch and then kyle shanahan's strategies just get every running back that there is and the rest is going to take care of itself and i get i understand it because their offense is so predicated on running the football and just the power run element and then you have the speed of raheem mostert and their offensive line is just awesome trent williams was big to sign him and he is on a massive contract extension what's the actual finances of this six years overall about a hundred mil but in real life it does work out to be a little different i'll pull it up six years 138 million so salary and bonus factored in and then the cap hit is obviously just the cap hit what we're actually going to end up counting against the salary cap for each year and that's going to go up exponentially over the next few years and he is going to regress a little bit he's 33 so it's going to be interesting what happens there we're not going to have alex mack long term just too old he's 35 he's gonna regress pretty heavily lake and tomlinson's cool aaron banks is really not a bad option of course second round pick i want to say at a notre dame second was he a third round pick i think he was the top of the second round around there am i right about that because trey sherman yeah 16th overall in the second round trey sermon i think was third round if i'm not mistaken mike mcglinchey at right tackles really good and then defensively it almost even gets better one of the best linebackers if not the best off ball linebacker in the league fred warner nick bosa amazing went healthy off the edge his rookie year was incredible he's a really really really really good player i imagine he's going to have some pretty good seasons for us and then you know the secondary is pretty good if jason frett stays healthy he's a beast jimmy ward has been a quality player same thing with jaquasky tart i can never go a video without saying why is it not jaquisky why is this jaquaski it doesn't make any sense so i'll mention it again you know drake greenlaw is good probably need to improve on burgess probably need to improve on kawan williams even though he's okay emmanuel mosley no way this is b.w webb in the year 2021 this is unbelievable what are you doing here i i don't know d-line they brought in maurice hurst javon kinlaw's got crazy potential and then d ford and eric armstead eric armstead is not really an edge player which is why this is kind of weird d ford is but he's not really a 4-3 end he's 250 now i don't remember d4 being 250 pounds at least not coming out of auburn but he's certainly a quality player he is though 30. armstead i don't really like him on the edge he's not an edge rusher i don't know what we do with that i think we eventually move him to d tackle and then maurice hurst i don't i don't know what happens with him honestly i have no idea but this is a realistic rebuild to watch us out here making crazy trades some players are going to get cut d ford will end up being cut probably he's just getting paid way way way too much but it's actually not as bad as i thought was this restructured either way that's the team and you're probably wondering other than just not making super crazy unrealistic moves like sometimes i allow myself to and the other rebuilds why else is it a realistic rebuild well i'll tell ya because when we get to week three here i'm gonna load in the realistic draft class i'm posting a video about this it may already be out it may not but it may be already out about how to to go with to replace well not eric armstrong because he might move inside to replace d ford probably not going to be in position to get him if we want to upgrade our secondary derrick stingley is an excellent option a bunch of really good players cair elim andrew booth jr i think he's going to take a huge step at clemson this year juice gardener is not his nickname it's sauce which is even cooler when i say juice but yeah uh i think we're probably going to look at corner we're going to look at linebacker of the cpu auto scout from this point on but i will see you guys at the mid season mark we'll check in see how we're doing we're two and oh right now doing quite well but yeah be sure to download that draft class if it doesn't let you log on when you click the left stick and it doesn't each other but yeah 2022 nfl draft bangle that's a place to be this class with two rounds versus my class with seven it isn't comparable i've seen this tandem breakout before it doesn't really do anything like if he does well you get some extra xp but it doesn't actually do anything in terms of upgrading their development rate so that kind of stinks but depot sam you'll get some xp for inspiring brandon naiuk who is probably going to be better long term for me but we are four and two at the mid-season mark not too bad but the seahawks and cardinals are six and one killing it the rams terrible where are these expiring contracts who's going to be leaving raheem moster 29 year old running back jason verrette chiquaski tartt juan williams lake and tomlinson maurice hurst okay these are actually really tough decisions because the age if you didn't know what age 28 guys are going to start to regress depending on their development trait so jason veret's going to be like an 82 83 tart's going to be like an 80. i'm not bringing back tchaikovsky tart cowan williams is not worth having tomlinson's fine but do i really want maurice hearst back long term if my entire plan surrounding him is to get him out of here and have eric armstead play d tackle because i'd rather have javon kinlaw than maurice hurst and that's who his direct competition would be maybe a two-year deal i probably wouldn't want to trade him but he wants more money i i don't know about that he's a good player but for my team i'm not sure that he fits lake and tomlinson i do want probably on a four-year deal we just need someone to play guard he'll do a fine job star dev he's going to likely stay at around an 80. farrett's tough he's gonna want a one-year deal maybe which i'm fine with he's gonna regress he's not a good long-term option great player i think jason brett really could have been one of the best corners of the 2010s if he was able to stay healthy unfortunately just riddled with injuries he should be fine but we need to look into getting new corners now and then rihanna moster as good as he is we have trey sermon raheem mostert's gonna regress it doesn't really make sense in my opinion to play a running back and especially one that's going to be into his 30s the entirety of the contract when we have trey sermon and running back is a fairly replaceable position so sorry not sorry and we made the playoffs second in the nfc west the cardinals went 13 and four extremely unusual they are not a team that performs too well in simulation usually but we'll check out the stats i didn't change the team i should have made sure someone was in the uh the slot or whatever trey lance had an incredible rookie season broke the record for both yards and touchdowns by a rookie what an insane year from trey lance he's got superstar dev i guess he had superstar dev right wow i would have thought trey lance had star but trey lance got superstar dev off the rip pretty amazing he is already unreal the short accuracy is crazy we need the deep accuracy to come along usually it's the other way around but it's the cpu's upgrading scrambler we need to change that i need to upgrade field general for him to get that deep accuracy upper strong arm or something trey lance really isn't a scrambler type even though he has great wheels and can do that he ran a lot at north dakota state to be fair but they were design runs it's not really like he was scrambling a lot it's not like he doesn't have the arm i don't know rain moisture rushes for almost 1500 yards 16 touchdowns 4.3 per carry nothing exceptional but pretty good and then receiving debo 1200 yards and 14 touchdowns george kittle over a thousand yards 13 touchdowns about 900 yards for ayuk five tds richie james jr put up very similar numbers to ayuk except for way fewer catches defensively fred warner had 129 tackles four for lost four and a half sacks 21 tackles for loss for nick post including 16 sacks seven and a half for armstead four and a half for warner we didn't even talk about samson and boo cam new addition to this 49ers team as well jason varette four picks three for kiwan williams the lion somehow made the playoffs it's not how that's going in lions franchise if you guys watch lions franchise on my channel where actually play the games i wish it had been 10 and 7 not close we beat them 42-24 and look who it is the 13-4 arizona cardinals who have really been dominant this year you never really see that but they've been unbelievable one game away from the conference championship the cardinals lose 24-21 and now it's 49ers cowboys a really classic playoff matchup this feels so 90s to me joe montana steve young troy aikman emmett smith cowboys the cocaine cowboy michael irvin dion sanders on both teams but this is the game this is a big time matchup one game away from the super bowl for both teams who will make it 49ers cowboys and the cowboys won that's sad our defense was really good our offense was really good but the cowboys just got the better of us they're a really good team in simulation they're really really good and as you can see here um we lost 31.37 a bunch of really close games except for the lions but man gg to the cowboys i guess we're gonna rev up get ready for season number two and beyond the draft should be fun free agency we don't really have a lot of money but the drafts should certainly be fun trey lance might be up to superstar x factor by the way survey says no it's actually really surprising qb of the year offensive rookie of the year led the nfl and passer rating did not get upgraded actually really surprising i don't know if any of these are going to matter in simulation but trey lance is unreal and i am going to upgrade maybe improviser maybe improviser i think field general for sure through accuracy deep goes up maybe improviser then i want the cpu to upgrade as deep through accuracy and as scrambler continues to go up they will not be upgrading his deep accuracy i can promise you so i don't know what to do about that just yet trey lance is already looking ridiculous throw power is up one he's gonna be a 99 overall within like two seasons which is nice chief won the super bowl christian mccaffrey shocking to no one that's watched the video this year one mvp and offensive player of the year saving collins with defensive rookie the year but trey lance offensive rookie of the year for our 49ers and it's off season time we have 20 mil because we're letting some guys go and i can tell you it looks like alex mac retired our our center's a c so is alex mack not here anymore didn't retire how is center possibly an f for us he's still there so what do you mean f we do need to replace that position like asap but it shouldn't be an f oh demo samuel up to superstar do you win receiver of the year he did huh not complaining i think iuke's gonna end up getting that next year george kittle's up to a 99 mostar's gonna be gone he's playing up two in 87 but he's really an 84. he regressed a lot so gotta move on from him trey sermon's gonna be the guy he's already up to 78. by the end of next year he and richie moster will probably end up swapping overalls so trey sermons our guy long term and then defensively okay drake greenlaw up to superstar dev that's really nice we have jason verrette up to superstar dev that's going to slow his regression a little bit he's still going to get torched by it but that keeps him around for a little bit longer i guess and then i'm looking for an edge rusher you know what might end up happening i think we could end up getting something back for jimmy garoppolo maybe it's a second round pick maybe with something else we can package that into more but jimmy garoppolo there is no reason you know what jimmy i'm taking that damn c off your jersey give me that give that to trey lance get jimmy g out of here there's that c i don't think i can bring any of these guys back maybe tart for a year he wants a two-year contract but maybe for a year not interested in signing i don't care davonte adams is here really no interest alan robinson too i just don't really need a big time receiver like this i don't need to pay 29 year old receiver right now what else can we do here claise campbell really too old jc jackson is definitely good i did get jc jackson in my last video i don't want to make every one of these videos feel the same so probably going to stay away from him jay on brown though [Music] jay on brown like a three-year deal is pretty tempting i'm not sure what his interest level in that would be oh we're number one okay i'm gonna leave that as is why does sony michelle have superstar development why is that a thing okay interesting so free agency did not go exactly as expected we got to sean elliot hook em horns dude i love deshawn elliott at texas i didn't understand why he wasn't a more hyped up draft prospect i had him inside my top 50 very easily i forget where i actually had him actually you know what i'm looking at now he's my 50th overall player and that has turned out to be fairly true desean elliott finally went healthy's turning into a really really good player which is nice to see loved him at texas of course i'm a texas fan live in texas currently too so that's always fun but um yeah i wanted ronnie harrison as well and obviously i wanted and now i realize i don't even need him as much as i thought i did but i wanted ronnie harrison to maybe play safety slash outside linebacker jimmy ward isn't getting any younger it's the same situation with jaquasky tart also wearing number one for a db pretty sick by the way i like it sometimes desean elliot's gonna place some strong safety for us jimmy ward who's basically like a hybrid corner anyway i was gonna play it like slot corner and then have ronnie harrison jay on brown like safety and linebacker and then deshawn elliott back there as well these 49ers uniforms are so good they're so good honestly i think they might be the best in football i know like it's completely preference based on uniforms but like let's just pull up jimmy ward again look at these uniforms they look so good the just the red pops the gold pops the white is subtle and then the helmet's amazing like just a great combo red and gold like obviously to have a great jersey you gotta get kind of lucky with your team's color combos like the browns as nice as i think the browns uniforms are nowadays you got brown in there they're never really gonna look like you know great compared to a team that has better colors but anyway enough about that desean elliott to strong safety didn't get jan brown didn't get ronnie harrison kind of surprised about that but it's a good draft class we should take advantage of it i will say the biggest problem with doing the 49ers first for the realistic rebuilds with the actual draft class i chose a team that really doesn't have a lot of picks they've moved them so we don't pick until the very end of the second round now that being said i'm not afraid to move up if i have to but we have a two three four five and a seven we're gonna miss out on some really really good players i think i just have to bite the bullet just deal with it okay here we are round two pick 30. johan dotson could be a great third option also another issue is n a will show up for some of the schools just for no reason like we got a georgia player here who it just says n a doesn't doesn't show his school it's a glitch like i can go back and fix it 100 times it'll still pop up and still pop up for other players it's a little frustrating doesn't ruin the class obviously it's not for every player but it's a little annoying i think i'm gonna go alec lindstrom i thought about this for a while i think lindstrom is the best player for this team right now hidden development so star or better one of the top centers in the class decent enough strength good run blocking he probably doesn't start right away but next year absolutely alex mack is not are not going to stick around too long so kind of a tough decision i thought about nick bonito i even thought about lewis scene with the uh no school showing up thought about drafting him but didn't really need him that bad it could take drake london here he had a huge big receiver that we don't really have on the team right now it could be a really solid third receiver let's do it keep drake london fairly local going up a little bit north to santa clara where the niners play drake london out of usc we're gonna take him 71 overall 91 in the class took with 94. only normal development pretty good he's just a big-bodied classic you know huge frame receiver so something that we didn't have not the best pick in the world not the worst round four do i take a corner here definitely could do that a bunch of good corners in this class it's gonna be interesting to see how this board changes over the next year hmm roger mccreary i honestly should have rated a little bit better but that's why this roster is going to be or this draft class is going to be adjusted things are going to change let's go ahead and take isaac taylor stewart back to back usc players normal development again ranked number 84 took my 126. that's gonna do it for the draft i think i'll let the cpu handle the rest i mean i guess alec lindstrom right now could start over aaron banks i'm gonna leave it i want aaron banks to continue to develop since he probably will be my starting guard starting right guard the next couple years so he's gonna stay in there lindstrom's gonna be the backup for this year don't really have a backup tight end that's any good drake london as our third receiver man he really fills out the frame of the uh of the the background there or whatever he's completely out of it almost so i planned on moving eric armstead to d tackle he's still gonna play defensive end just because we couldn't replace him or couldn't move him over he's still getting paid a ton so when we end up having to resign him which will probably be one of the final years of this rebuild i'll be paying him as a d tackle at least got emanuel mosley listen there are still some holes still going to start at bootcamp we're not going to have the best d tackle in the world uh behind of course siobhan kinlaw we're gonna have some holes but we're gonna end up fixing it next year just be patient i'm trying to be patient as well you see the team i'll stop at season or to be a week three i'm gonna load into 2023 draft class haven't tried it i don't know if it'll be any good we'll find out and take it from there see if we want to use it again or go a different direction but i'll see you guys there oh and two at this point that's not very good full class with accurate names and ranks roll tide i bet alabama players will be fairly represented in this one i don't know like some of the top prospects doesn't really strike me as super encouraging but there are no other 2023 classes we're gonna try out mr alabama here okay doesn't doesn't look too bad right now a couple names that you definitely should recognize whether it's dj ooey ungulalay that's how you pronounce that by the way in case you didn't know ue galilei i mean bijan robinson hook'em horns bryce young cj stroud two first year starters for their respective teams should be really fun this year typical issues with the na eli rix was awesome last year for lsu somebody was asking me where is eli rix in your draft class i'm like he was a freshman last year it's not how that works you need to play or i guess it's three years before you're eligible so redshirt sophomores true juniors are eligible that's the earliest you can be eligible but um let's see here how far does this go eric gilbert he's a real player except you know what his school being n a makes a lot of sense he was like a georgia recruit that transferred to florida and then transfer to lsu or no i think he was a florida commit transferred to lsu is now transferring to georgia will anderson's a monster by the way he should be top 10 in the class malachi moore was a sick freshman for bama all right there are a lot of big names here noah sewell pine sewell's brother legitimately all right so this is the issue we're gonna run into kyle hamilton first of all i don't know why he's the back end of the first round for 2023 he's a top prospect in 2022 but we will see some repeats from time to time but there seem to be a decent amount of players in here we'll rock with it two and four at the mid-season mark could be doing better i think that's my expert opinion nick bosa contract aspiring debo samuel jason veret jimmy ward mike mcglinchey dre greenlaw everybody on the team it feels like even mitch wishnowski which is a tough name to say for some reason mitch and then wish back to back mitch wishnowski hate everything about it okay so we're gonna pay nick bosa a lot for a long time but he's also worth it and he wants more all right also my blue glasses are on you know what this is a football video i don't want to seem like a nerd uh diva samuel five years works for me he'll be fine jason verrette i'm still looking to replace but on a one-year deal now that he is superstar dev i would maybe even go two years and he wants more money dude everyone wants more money where are the team players that's what i want i want a team player do five years for mike mcglinchey it's really not expensive and he is back that's a team player that's what we like to see not like nick bosa or jason verrette and wow drake greenlaw wants to be paid like an edge rusher that's frustrating it's really really frustrating that that happens because he's not an edge rusher not at all playoff time i'm not sure that we're going to be a part of them six and 11. i kind of don't get that our offense took a major step back but more notably our defense took a huge step back we were terrible just awful that's gonna have to change trey lance 4400 yards 32 touchdowns 22 interceptions the numbers are very different in year two for trey lance trey sermon not particularly great 3.8 yards per carry although did put up almost 1200 yards but the yards per carry is not good 11 touchdowns he's getting better he's getting better and when he's better offense i think he's going to move up again we just really need a good running back but raheem moser would not be good anymore i can promise you george kittle 1100 yards five tds led the team a thousand and eleven touchdowns for brandon ayuk 000 yards and 11 touchdowns if i said that too quickly debo was all right defensively fred warner had a pretty good year 20 tackles for loss for nick bose including nine sacks 14 from eric armstead would lead the team and then three picks for deshawn elliott would lead the team by a lot nobody else had more than one and only four five players had one really annoying second season we just didn't show up despite you know having a great team 88 offense 86 defense 86 overall we were about middle of the pack in terms of everything except we allowed a lot of points defense took a major step back despite not really getting a whole lot worse also you know someone i didn't notice d ford d ford is gone i don't think he played on the team the entire year don't really know what happened to him but he's gone season recap is as follows chiefs beat the cowboys alvin kamara won mvp and offense player of the year this year joey bosa brother of nick wins defensive player of the year malik willis to the saints quarterback out of liberty wins offensive rookie the year and drake jackson edge rusher stand up outside linebacker uh for usc goes to the eagles he wins defensive rookie of the year obviously we were we weren't going to have anybody in contention for that with only taking alec lindstrom but we have a lot of money a lot of available salary cap why is that dre greenlaw is that really the big one remaining am i missing anybody else no nick bosa verret here's greenlaw i moved him to middle linebacker hopefully we can negotiate with him as a middle linebacker now looks like we can and if he declines because it's bugged or whatever i'm just going to franchise tag him it's not terribly expensive to franchise tag him in a linebacker 14 and a half million versus like 20 for an outside linebacker plus and hopefully we don't have to use it nick boster wants what higher salary okay so we will boost that up a little bit to about nine million that should do it nick post is back that was a huge one jimmy ward at 32 he's not really regressing all that quickly what does he want contract wise two years it's not that expensive worst case scenario oh he's gonna test free agency well all right whatever two-year deal for varette i mean he's down to an 81. two years is the most i could have given him and then we're going to franchise tag trey greenlaw just to keep him around we'll renegotiate emmanuel mosley's not the worst to keep around he's not that expensive he's back for two years boot camp i think we're gonna let walk don't need jalen hurt or jimmy g thought about trading him but contracts aspiring we can just let him go in free agency let's just establish what players we actually need or what positions we need to improve upon on the offensive line it's going to be alec lindstrom's time now over alex mack i'll tell you that don't know what that means for alex mack kind of don't he's not really cap casualty but he could get cut i suppose i like the rest of the offense though i do maybe a sick running back if one's young enough we certainly need an outside linebacker and we need an edge rusher corner and safety quentin nelson is here as is tyreek hill some interesting options montez sweat's the one though montez sweats the one he's also remarkably cheap by the way remarkably by the way as i said raheem mostert now an 81 overall trey sermon as you can see is an 82 overall and one is significantly younger than the other not going after any of the top top guys but if we get everyone i want i'm gonna be super happy about it free agency period one let's see what we do we get everyone i wanted so far except for one we got sean murphy bunting we got montez sweat we got jk scott big upgrade on mitch wisnowski we got monte sweat i don't know why he's so cheap he's kind of insane and then a little sean bunting action we got jimmy ward okay josh lambo was the other guy was going after jimmy ward we got back for really cheap by the way and we just can't get him right now kyle fuller also maybe gonna be sitting in free agency as well definitely going to look at that after the draft depending on what happens but definitely a really really good free agency for us brought jimmy award back i think it's a two-year contract but it's really really cheap if we went to team salaries here i think it was worth it just to have the depth there either way check this out two years overall he's getting paid like next to nothing for him so i think that's fine he's not our long-term guy there we can look to upgrade that but for right now really not bad and now that we have monte sweat eric armstead can do what i've been wanting to do for a couple years now and move him to defensive tackle so as a three tech oh eric armstead is looking dangerous 88 overall monte sweat again i don't know why he was so cheap he's 26 in his prime his numbers have not been tremendous although they haven't been bad they have not been bad but if you see this contract he's really never gonna get all that much money of course we do not have this first round pick either it's funny like losing being so bad in season two doesn't really even help us out that much because we still don't pick until the top of the second round brandon joseph is someone that's also in my 2022 nfl draft class there are some interesting players in here i think we're gonna go with drew sanders here played pretty well for alabama last season he's pretty good overall 76 overall i don't know if i'll use his draft class again it's tough to gauge i'll check the draft class after this hidden development he fits the scheme really really well so it's a great pickup i'm not complaining we're gonna go jackson smith and jigba here another young guy we don't really know what he's gonna be in real life just yet could end up being amazing for ohio state i have to see how cj stroud plays and that certainly could help or hurt jackson smith and jigba he was a really really highly touted recruit and obviously going to ohio state i guess but is he an upgrade right now over drake london maybe he's only 72 overall but that hidden development trait makes me value him a little bit more than drake london at this point so i'll let the cpu handle the rest of the draft and maybe smith and jigma plays your one could happen how strong is this draft class we are about to find out because there's at least 180 okay it doesn't really seem too crazy zachary evans is the highest rated back bijeon robinson not too far behind dj we unglaze a 78 he's probably the best player in the class right now will anderson is at the top of the class as well it doesn't really seem too bad it seems fairly balanced it's a strong class but it's not like ridiculous huh i don't know hopefully it gets better more players added certain things fixed but we'll see maybe i use it again i don't know three and three at the mid season mark bottom of the nfc west it's you know really tight race to be fair we could end up taking the division wouldn't be surprised but the team i think it's safe to say they're underperforming right now really just not living up to my expectations at least so a little bit sad about that what is our dev trait don't know for drew sanders yet now i am going to switch green law back to outside linebacker after i resign him i just like fred warner at middle linebacker a little bit better i think maybe he gets a little bit more involved brandon nyu javon kinlaw alex mack finally but dre greenlaw is just so much cheaper at middle linebacker and we have to make these decisions as acting general manager so dre greenlaw is back and we can finally fix that and we have brandon nyuk who based on his uh his hair style just looks like less big javon kinla who also resigns the rest we don't really need playoff time i think we could be in the playoffs here i wouldn't be surprised if we weren't and we are we're in the wild card 10 and seven can't view the standings there they're not popping up but we finished nfc west we finished third in the division wow three ten and seven teams and the rams went nine and eight what a division an absolute battle not entirely shocked we snuck in but the way i'm gauging our progress is not by the record because obviously you could say oh man we've gotten worse every year which isn't isn't true now that we're better than we were last year but i'm looking at the team the team's improving even though the simulation is not 89 offense 89 defense 89 overall i bet this outside linebacker has crazy good development rate knowing he's an alabama player in this alabama guy's draft class and he has superstar development not shocking at all also who do we have here stefan nguyen decent power boost in speed and strength block shift not crazy good or anything hidden development now the height and weight is not correct but you guys you guys can be shocked by this another alabama player stefan nguyen i think he's a sophomore he's a redshirt junior i just looked it up but uh yeah we got the vikings in the wild card let's see if we can beat him advanced to the divisional and we do 34-31 and now the always dangerous carolina panthers very very good in simulation they went 12-5 now their offense is always like near unstoppable i get that but was it their defense that was really awesome this year because 12 and 5 is pretty good defensively they're not at the top in yards the jets are endpoints their defense was really really good though our defense was really really good too in terms of points allowed that's encouraging but as you can see trey lance had 50 100 yards passing 35 td still launching picks 20 20 interceptions trey we gotta we gotta relax with the interceptions it's like watching lions franchise trey sermon four yards per carry 16 tds 814 yards receiving ayuke 1500 yards and seven touchdowns debo about 1200 yards 10 touchdowns george kittle still put up good numbers defensively fred warner 120 tackles seven for lost half a sack although with sacks nick bosa had 19 and a half 10 for eric armstead now at d tackle montez sweat only with five four for javon kinlaw and then four picks for drake greenlaw led the way smb and jason verret both with three apiece and we'll see if we can beat the carolina that trey lance didn't get upgraded i don't really know why that would be he had such an unbelievable season at least in terms of passing yards you figure he absolutely would have got an upgrade within a touchdown now in the second half 23-14 we extend that just a little bit browns with another field goal 31-17 38-17 just like that and time is not on the brown side and it is all over 38-31 the san francisco 49ers for the first time in 20 years plus our super bowl champions it's been a minute since the 90s but we've finally done it with trey lance and company here in 2023 2024 2023 would be 49er super world champions for the first time since 95 nearly 30 years by this point in simulation so let's go ahead hop into what should be the final season season number four in 2024 hopefully dawkins he's a name i wouldn't be shocked if he breaks out onto the scene in like two years so look out for terrell dawkins out of nc state maybe i'll be wrong but maybe terrell dawkins ends up going from second on the depth chart as a redshirt freshman to top pick in the draft you never know he flashed i saw him when i was watching nc state elaine mcneil i go terrell dawkins can play a little bit but yeah it's gonna be time for the off season so we can't bring any of these players back which we wouldn't want to but we also don't have the money to we could clear up a little bit of space we go into team salaries here i could cut alex max pretty easily if he's sticking around he's gone all right never mind but we could get rid of jason verrette who's down to an 80. we could move on from lake and tomlinson or emmanuel mosley jimmy ward all those contracts are gone after this year so it's kind of fitting that we're going to the final season because we would be restarting just a little bit but it's not going to be eventful free agency because we don't really have the money to sign anybody we're still you know about within the salary cap again just a little bit down because of previous contracts but now you can see we're you know up to 50 over once that resets so it's nfl draft time if you didn't know that the pick price we can call it the salary associated with your pick in the draft is factored in so we're at number 32. i could move up if i wanted to kind of just depends what's on the board what am i looking for maybe a corner maybe a safety ooh devin rodriguez ran 4-3-1 has amazing coverage skills he's going to be the best player in the draft i don't really even need to see anything else he's going to be the best player in the draft we're trading our first round pick this year and next year it's projected to be really bad i guess the league thinks we're gonna suck we're not gonna suck so we moved up to number two overall you know i actually thought in was it the 2019 nfl draft 2018 no 27 no 2018 whatever class marshawn latimer was i thought the 49ers were gonna take him at number two overall well i thought 2017. it was of course they end up trading down one spot with the bears and then they took solomon thomas at three marcia lattimore fell to 11. interesting draft class looking back miles garrett number one beast trubisky terrible solomon thomas terrible leonard fourdette never really lived up to his hype corey davis overdrafted like he was taken way too high jamal adams has been a good player but isn't even on the team that drafted him and that was only a couple years ago a few years ago now mike williams with the chargers never really lived up to his potential christian mccaffrey when healthy has been a monster john ross major bust patrick mahomes best player in the entire league very interesting top 10 but here we are number two enough waffling about devon rodriguez is here out of utah not exactly a powerhouse but they've produced some pretty good defensive backs of late if you think julian blackman is good safety for the colts if you think jaylen johnson's good cornerback for the bears pretty good players and devin rodriguez is no different 81 overall the best player in the draft took him a number two star or better development with hidden 95 speed 83 man 78 zone nice play record 69 decent press could not miss him could not miss devin rodriguez it's wearing number three it's gonna fit right in with my secondary that refuses to wear a double digit number but uh yeah you can't really do much better than that end of the second round todd shepard could be okay oh we didn't even see ooh isaiah rich all right oh man that's such a slap in the face in the custom draft clash you can't make a player with last name gay but here this gay guy is just sitting there early first round safety out of clemson james leonard also on my radar here's a fat hitchcock out of georgia david hitchcock there's actually some really good value in this class between james leonard zach greene who's an early second round tight end and carter carr who is a mid-first round receiver looks like an awesome slot player in the fifth i mean just really good value i'm gonna go with james leonard i can't pass on an early first round safety only normal development but looks really well rounded should be a good backup and i actually think that the other safety could be a better player despite one being early first round the other one actually looked better in isaiah rich so i don't know if we're gonna have a shot at him but he looks okay trading a five this year in a three next year for number 65 overall from the bears which happens to be this pick fun fact about that and i just i'm curious i want to see how isaiah rich looks so i'm going to take him hey usc 73 overall number 30 in the class took him to 65. normal dev better athlete though end of the third round now i wonder if that tight end's still going to be there he is now he's a worse player than carter carr what do i do i don't think carter carr is gonna be available at the end of the fourth just doesn't seem to work like that usually he's just not gonna be available what do i need more a backup tight end we're a fourth string receiver probably i mean i probably wouldn't even be a fourth string receiver maybe a fifth string we got jackson smith and jigba he looks pretty good i'm gonna go with the tight end he's gonna be a worse overall for sure but probably will end up playing a bigger impact zach green out of kansas state 73 overall star or better development for the number 36 ranked player in the class 96 86 speed 85 catching 90 acceleration 82 spectacular catch it's pretty good for the 21 year old tight end 63 235 kind of built like an h-back more than like a traditional tight end and i would be happy if the receiver was available at the end of the fourth round i don't think he's going to be doesn't really matter at this point i'll just simulate if he's not available or maybe i'll just take a shot of course he is not available take a d tackle max mcleod at a texas tech 73 overall ranked number 39 in the class took a bit 128 he's a nose tackle which yeah you can tell from that gut you didn't even need to see the attributes jeff wilson another pretty good player 80 overall d tackle not bad rodriguez playing up to an 82 overall with morale by the way absolutely going to start over jason verrette i almost want to make him cb1 he's going to play in the slot too and jason varette's going to play on the boundary sometimes i feel like this is just a match made in heaven this team is sick mid-season mark we are 7-0 that's doing pretty well if you add up all the other win totals in the division seahawks plus cardinals is five plus rams is seven we have as many wins as every other team in the division combined with our 91 overall and it's probably gonna get better as we face the two and five la ramps let me see the dev trade for this rookie corner i'm actually really excited i think it's gonna be easily superstar plus maybe not but i think it definitely could be and it is star still he's really good 85 man coverage already that's pretty wild fred warner we're not even gonna be able to spend that probably nope just because our corner is about to get upgraded or about to get a skill point i do want to simulate this game one on one and we're eight no one 41 to 10. oh i guess they auto upgraded him oh i really wanted to do it myself because i wanted to spend on zone coverage because we're gonna see at the end of the year he has like 95 man coverage in 79 zone and you go couldn't you have upgraded that too and they go no he only does one thing all right but it's gonna be playoff time we're eight no are we going to win out and go undefeated almost certainly not i would put us at probably 14 wins maybe 15 14 and three not exactly a huge surprise there still a really good season even if we didn't go undefeated cpu can upgrade those guys and i don't know that we'll have the the tight ends development trade or not it's probably going to be star justin where we drafted him and based on where he was in the class early second round it is star still a good player still a good player trey lance is trending towards the 99 overall with morale but let's go ahead and check out the stats for season number four the fourth and final season as did my home's throw for 58 touchdowns i read that right trey lance threw for 50 300 yards 42 tds 14 interceptions good season trey sermon had his best year about 1300 yards 4.4 for kerry and 16 touchdowns receiving ayuk about 1600 yards 13 tds george kennel over a thousand with three touchdowns and debo samuel had double digit touchdowns as well trey sermon even at 800 yards dray greenlaw led the team in tackles at 11 for loss 19 for montez sweat who also had 15 and half sacks look at these numbers 25 and a half sacks for nick bosa a new nfl record 16 and a half for eric armstead 15 and a half for montez sweat we had three players with about 15 and a half sacks on our team and javon kinlaw had seven the d-line went crazy four picks for drew sanders three for warner three for devon rodriguez the rookie of utah and then two for greenlaw elliott and sean murphy bunting haven't really seen or heard a lot from desean elliot this rebuild but he's been quietly pretty good gonna be up to an 88 overall by the end of the year if i had to guess and let me see here was it 58 tds for patrick mahomes or 48 58 yeah pretty good year for him oh ridiculous numbers vikings in the division they went nine and eight they have an 85 overall see how we do here beat them in the playoffs in season one right i think and here they are going down again and the saints are really good what 92 offense 88 defense 90 overall we'll hop in for the conference championship the saints look disgusting we take a seven nothing lead ten nothing here in the second quarter saints have yet to get anything on the board 17-nothing 24-0 27-nothing now into the second half 34-0 the saints finally get something up on the board 41-7 i mean this game is so over nearly a 50 bomb sean payton disgusted and as well he should be he just got destroyed at least you're on the road 48-14 niners back to the super bowl i mean that game was not even close i was crazy malik willis quarterback for the saints trey lance threw for 400 yards uh yeah this should be a super bowl win here depending on who we play i guess and it's the ravens okay they were pretty pretty good nick bosa is just maxed out as pass rusher we can only upgrade run stopper plus two block shed yeah he's pretty good 99 power and finesse moves pretty good this is the final team brandon iuke up to superstar development trey lance up to superstar x factor he is very very good and then defensively okay rodriguez devin rodriguez upgraded to superstar development he is return man which is not good we'll give him a midzone ko and one step ahead's real good we can't unlock that yet so maybe deep route ko you just can't throw it past him maybe maybe short you can beat him a little bit but not down the field 92 man 81 zone for devin rodriguez we can't upgrade fred warner or dre greenlaw montes what is up to superstar x factor as well this team is really really solid definitely at a good starting point but i think we've made the team significantly better as well ravens are pretty good marlin humphreys now in 99 overall superstar x factor they have lamar jackson jeff wilson who was in the draft class with devin rodriguez our corner he was the second highest-rated player in the class a superstar x factor so maybe we got really the second best player in the class only stardew but we'll see if the niners and the ravens oh super bowl rematch 2012 the 2012 season colin kaepernick versus the great joe flacco and we're just running through the gatorade stuff okay that's gonna be in front of the tunnel okay that feels like a bad spot for that was that place by the ravens we probably was faced or placed there by the saints we have another bounty gate going on sean payton disgusted greg williams probably their defensive coordinator again but yeah super bowl rematch ravens niners we'll see if we can come out on top this is the super bowl where the power went out if i recall correctly quarter 24-21-49ers 27-21 it's now 28-27 in favor of the ravens we're jumping in on offense second and ten not going to run the ball here probably just going to look for george kittle i want to throw it to him i'm going to lobbing it up kiddle i needed to make a decision earlier on that i almost just cost this a game third and 10. underneath i need a block from kittle i didn't get one debo stretching for the first down i don't think he got it fourth in inches man i could have i could have called this a bit better fourth in inches gonna have to get rid of the football quickly i'm looking for george kittle brandon and i uke maybe as well and kittle's open enough kittle break that tackle no we got the first down though i was actually super nervous running out of eye form there because i just know if they get pressure quickly the game's over the game's over if we got a like an under pressure inaccurate throw or just they tap into sacus or something nice little run from trey sermon i guess all we need is a field goal i would prefer a touchdown but all we need is a field goal let's streak george kittle and we can roll out if need be that's super open though lance down the field finds debo time out baltimore how creative can we get we're gonna call a uh like it's it's like a jet sweep but it's a touch pass to brandon nyuk just a nice little toss up there and it's gonna work like a charm brandon are you diving touchdown we take the lead here and maybe too quickly again i just talked about that i don't want to score too quickly and i've scored too quickly two-point conversion attempt kittle wide open up by a touchdown 57 seconds we gotta hold on to the lead 31 seconds to play baltimore still with the timeout as they are approaching midfield they're basically on it and drake greenlaw you need to turn around and react to that earlier let's actually get these guys in deep zones going back across the middle and that is complete big gain for the baltimore ravens offense but time is running out that's their final timeout down by a touchdown lamar jackson and the ravens need to find some way to get 35 yards and of course we need to find any way possible to stop them just keep them in front do not let them get over the top that's perfectly fine big hit on j.k dobbins he holds on the ravens are gonna struggle to get back to the line here and call of play they're just not gonna have the time that's the ball game the ravens go over the middle can't get the snap off in time in the san francisco 49ers are back-to-back champions we defend our title we
