Rebuilding A Wrecked 2018 Camaro ZL1 Part 19

just kind of sketchy cuz it's raining in what is up guys welcome back to the channel so today we're gonna try to get that 2018 seal one on the road and give it the first test drive but before we could actually get it on the street we're actually gonna have to align that right rear wheel or we have to change some of the suspension pieces so we're gonna have to steal the quick Jack from the Viper and put it under the Camaro [Music] [Applause] so we got to set up on Jack's hands on all four corners so I think it's nice and secure so we're gonna go ahead and grab these quick Jack's slide them up under the CL one and lift it up [Music] just set up the quick Jack's underneath and got a bunch of ruckus going on outside let's see what's going on look at buddy young crazy don't you dare ever bark at the postman again you got me check this out guys look what he brought us this is something for the zl1 but we're not going to unpackage this until we actually get our alignment issue figured out so we're gonna get back to work and get this thing lifted [Music] alright so I'm gonna go up under there and adjust try to adjust the I think it's a caster that has the wheel turning or is that the toe for good but I'm gonna I'm gonna do the adjustment because this this wheel is turned that way yeah it's turning that way I needed to turn this way so we're gonna go up under there and I found out the bolt under there we'll adjust that so let's see if we can adjust that a little bit so we're pretty much just eyeballing it just so we can go down the road because it is pretty bad sitting way to hard to go take it down the road so right now I think we're good but Justin as far as we can out and we're going to throw the wheel on see how it looks when it sits down on the ground [Music] all righty guys so we finally dropped the car down and we aligned it to our best abilities just by eyesight but look at it man it just looks absolutely straight looks a lot better than it did before so we can technically go ahead and take it down the street but before we can do that you know how we got a fresh tank job and we do not want to get any rock chips on the road or anything like that so we got the perfect solution for you guys right here we got actually clear bra protection film which is gonna go on the front end so let's go ahead and crack this open and see what it all consists of all right so this kit was around 250 bucks let's go ahead and pull it out and see if it's a see if it's worth it it is a pre-cut film yeah a pre-cut for the zl1 winter that will sweetie oh my right there set it down right there for now it's in there let's roll it out on the Viper I'll just put on the roof for right now [Music] there is one for the hood the front bumper man that's basically everything we need right there and everything dude that is gonna be so sick it's really hard to tell on camera because it is clear bra so you can't really see it alright so it appears that we got the top of the hood section of large majority of it probably about a foot and then it's gonna move on to the bumper here you can hardly see it and then the whole front lower section of the bumper what else is this right here basically everything that's for the headlight so it's basically the whole front end the whole entire front bumper half the hood and probably a little bit of the fenders just like if anybody seen our Dodge Viper videos just like the front of our Dodge Viper they did the same thing half the hood and everything looks really great and it will protect a lot from all these rock shipments though the main area where Rock chips are most likely to occur so before we could actually apply any of the clear bra we're gonna have to buff the front bumper in the hood so when we lay it down everything goes down smoothly so I actually have to run to the store and get some bumping supplies let's see what we get we got our sandpaper now we're ready to go head back to the house and start sanding and then start buffing oh we're not gonna go to that place right there oh that place over there definitely going to that place let's go straight fire in here gotta check this out get you guys back in the house all right so we just got back we got some sample right here we did pick up some 2500 and some 2000 grit just to get as smooth as possible and to get out any little bits of tracks that's gonna make the clear bra disoriented in that alert area so we really want this to go down as smooth as possible so we're gonna go ahead and get our bucket of water and start wet saving [Music] so we got it all send it down now imma throw my wool pad on and start buffing [Music] alright guys now that we got the hood and the bumper nicely buffed now we're gonna grab our dual action polisher throw on a soft pad and remove all these swirls but before I start slow mark remove and I want to go ahead and give it a nice clean wash so the surface has no contaminants on it so it doesn't do extra swirls or anything like that so we're gonna go ahead and grab this bucket of soap and wash the front end down [Music] [Music] [Music] so we actually went ahead and pulled the zl1 outside we're gonna give it a nice wash wash the whole entire thing because we don't want no type of contaminants underneath that clear ball or else we'll be pulling it off again so we're gonna have to clean it really well grab our bucket of soap and clean the whole car [Music] alright so we just pulled the car back in it's nice and clean the first thing we're gonna do is go ahead and remove the front bumper put it up on the stand and then clean it with some alcohol [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] moment of truth here guys but do something that we've never done before let's do the hood first and see how it goes [Music] alright guys we just cleared for all the hood man it's looking great it was a little tough it's the first time I'm ever doing clear bra but other than that man it came down pretty smoothly and I'm just I'm just happy with the results right now there is a few little air pockets in there but I heard that the sunlight believe it out in the Sun or something it's all gonna just evaporate from there so something do with technology and clear bra yeah we are done with that now we're gonna move on to the front bumper clean it with some alcohol and then start applying that clear bra [Music] all righty yeah so we just had a huge fail we pretty much just took it all off as you can see here I just did not go as planned it was that that flat one was pretty tough but this was really tough on you know we are nowhere near professionals this is actually our first time doing clear bra and it was just super hard to bend it around these corners and edges man I try I tried everything I was like I'm doing it for like two hours yeah straight trying to fold it all in but we just didn't want it to dry and then not be able to take it off with it aligned properly so I'd rather pull it off while it's still kind of fresh so no glue or adhesive sticks to it anything yeah we'll just leave this to the professionals maybe get it done by somebody that actually does this for a living yes now we're probably gonna do the headlights yeah we'll do the flat part in this top part right here that's the easy part so we're gonna go ahead and get that knocked out and then throw this back together [Music] I got it that was pretty simple I wish the bumper was like that but this one's done we're gonna go ahead and do that passenger side [Music] [Applause] alright guys this turned out absolutely perfect so we're happy with that with the with the hood and the top of the bumper right here sucks that we couldn't get the whole entire bumper but we're happy for what we got right now so we're gonna go ahead and I say we're done with the clear process now huh yes sir since we did mess up on the bumper we do got a we got to present a surprise to you guys we're gonna open one package before we catch you guys tomorrow for the first test drive so we got a package over there let's just check it out and see what it is but this is a lightweight car the one le front bumper you should you guys should already know what we have in here most of you guys already guessed it in the comment section guys it is in a little little box though I thought it would be in a bigger box [Music] already primered and stuff that is legit now the real question is guys do we paint at high gloss black to match the roof which I think would look great or satin to match the front live that's a very good question let us know in the comment section down below because we're gonna be painting it probably in the next video do the side piece yes I think so a little strut towers whatever you call them dude that is gonna be so did I get it backwards no yet alright but it might go in the middle like that so we're gonna put all this back we're gonna wrap this up and we're gonna catch you guys tomorrow and do a test drive alrighty guys so it is the next day here we're actually gonna lift a car up pop off both of them wheels and fasten that front bumper and take it on the street [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] all right bring your own out all right so we just let it warm up now we're gonna hop in it and give it the first test-drive let's go man burning rubber all ready Oh sideways there to do that gotta be real careful in these situations but no ABS it's driving pretty smooth all right yeah driving smooth just steering wheels a little crooked but that's what we're gonna go fix right now yo my stomach out we've got an ABS luncheon stability track you know just suspension stability tracking ABS something like that need to go clear look at this guy's PDR oh we don't have no memory card rate down memory card but it's interior is just so sick I love how all the lights light up has a side light here got all that you've got the heated steering wheel got the heated and cooled seats it's amazing man but now we're actually gonna go to the Lima shop and make it 100% that way we can drive it around for good and I'll have to worry about anything we finally made it let's get this sucker a line man [Music] all right so we just finished off our alignment everything is straight perfect let's go test it out on the road all right so we still got a few little lights on the dash there but we're gonna go see if we can get somebody to clear them yeah you hear that turbo I mean I said turbo supercharger man oh yeah a hundred times better now hunter look at this hands off the stool everything's straight steering wheel straight just kind of sketchy cuz it's raining in oh and we don't have traction control but it drips yeah it's gonna allow it to drift maybe we should go do drift session before we get these clothes cleared notion [Music] thing is everywhere how much is it gonna be alright hopefully vtune here can work some magic I so we're leaving vtune shop and actually he did check all the codes and it's bringing us back to that something is unplugged the wheels wheel front left wheel sensor we did replace that hub so so we need to double check yeah and also we are low on APR on brake fluid that's what we're low on because we did have to pump it through so we are gonna head back home and we're gonna check that stuff out and hopefully give it one final test run a nice hardcore test run something that's really gonna put it to the test alrighty guys so we just made it back home took off the wheel here and look what we found guys we took off the wheel sensor because in the computer is that it was popping up wheel sensor and look there's one wire that's it's actually even sticking out right there so we're gonna go ahead and try to fix that real quick I'm gonna go ahead and solder up nicely and put it back on hopefully them lights turn off then we can go take it down the road alright guys so all the lights actually went ahead and cut off very exciting news now let's go take it down the road see what she does [Applause] [Music] all I smell is supercharger and freedom right there she's a beast oh man she just slipping all over the Rhino dude I can't keep track I can tell man I can't wait till it's dry oh yes these tires are supposedly really stinky so in the dry man she's gonna rip yeah I mean it's already throwing a bunch of rocks and everything so we just got back this car is an absolute beast guys very fun to drive also very comfortable I know there was a lot of talk about the handling of this zo one on the track and it pretty much proved itself so guys be sure to
