RE-MODERNIZED - F-22 & F-35 vs Su-57 & J-20: BVR Missile Fight | DCS

hello valued viewers I hope you're all doing very well and welcome back to our next bvr battle it is America's F-22 Raptor and F-35 lightning versus Russia's su-57 Vellum and China's j-20 Mighty dragon all modern 5th gen Fighters at this point I hear you say oh crap you've done this before here in August 2022 and here in December 2022 the first one was a bit rubbish we didn't know how to set things up and so it was just a bit of fun the second one that much improved one was pretty good when we could set the gips up properly but now March 2023 we've made some further improvements and so we really need to run it again and see how those improvements affect things the updates are the su-57 has now had a radar cross-section change also previously the j-20 had a terrible flight model completely inaccurate and was actually really hard to fly and impossible to dogfight with so I've made a proper flight model for it also with added aim9x to the F35 and a few minor tweaks so as I always say with these bvr fights the most important thing is setting the aircraft up as realistically as we can so let's go over some data and then we'll do the boom boom America's f-22a Raptor converted to Grim Reaper's version 8. its radar is a standard gra user radar its radar cross section is 0.0001 meter squared meaning it can be seen at about 13.5 nautical miles plus one is five for environmental variation Beyond visual range missile is the a120d1 it's within visual arrangements are the aim 9x is flight model and damage model are untouched from the original granelli f-35a started as vsn converted to Grim Reaper's version 11 radar Ace radar cross section 0.005 meter squared it can be seen at 15 plus or minus 5 nautical miles missiles same as Raptor flight model and damage model are untouched from new original next and our first change for the day Russia su-57 Cuban Ace converted to Grim Reaper's latest version 6 AE serado radar cross-section reduced from 0.2 meters square to 0.12 meters squared it can now be seen at about 45 miles plus or minus 5 miles so 20 miles less than it could before as this aircraft in real life moves from prototype to production it's suspected they're going to become more stealthy I mean they're probably never going to move into the Raptor field but there will be improvements as more RAM coating is added to the frontal cross section and modifications made to the intakes so we'll keep an eye on it Beyond visual range missile rs77-160 miles within visual range r74 is flight models and damage models are completely self-built by us and finally the Chinese j-20a updated To Grim Reaper's version 7 Acer Radar Radar cross section 0.05 meter squared it can be seen at about 20 T3 plus or minus five nautical Mars Beyond visual rage pl15 within visual range pl10 flight model brand new as made yesterday by me and damage model made by us a quick look at the missiles Beyond visual range Russia is running its very much standard issue r77-1 here they do have a more modern one that we technically could use it's not going to make any difference viewers you're not going to see a stealth outside of 20 miles per day so don't worry about long range missiles pl-15 for Russia America today are using the a120 D1 as shown here again you don't need the bigger range of the big missiles and I thought I'd show off we now have a new missile we haven't used it yet but you see aim 120 D3 upgraded package of the D1 and we'll test that and talk about that more in a future video within visual range R for what we really care about here almost the same with an r74 M from Russia a po10 from China and an a9x from America the match will be our usual format we are down in in the south of America we really like this area here it's got some fjords some rivers and some hills but not really high hills 500 to a thousand foot hills it makes for a good balanced match with most Jets we'll start 80 miles away from each other the red axes in the north the Americans in the South loadouts very quickly the Raptor will be six a120 D1 and a couple of sidewinders otherwise instead of configuration the F-35 will be and this is the third and final change for today viewers it's a bit funny looking but work with me last time we went with six amrams in the belly in still for configuration that represents the sidekick weapons Bay mod that the f-35a is getting which means it can carry six amrams you guys were extremely upset because it had no Sidewinders it couldn't perform very well in close range and is often come into close range to these stealth fights so I told you that I'm pretty sure that the cider kit mod could not carry aim9s in the Bell you've overridden me and most of you have said no you're wrong cap it can definitely take Aim Nines in the belly I can't force aim night into the belly here so I'm putting them on the wings and I'm pretending they are in the belly it's as close as we can get okay so weapons Bay with the sidekick mod as you want we've got four amrams and two virtual Sidewinders and it will be in stealth configuration finally the Reds to the north we've got felon with four r77-1 don't write it off it's a bloody good missile and two rr74s and still configuration or low visibility configuration and the mighty dragon with four pl-15s and two po10s predictions the Americans are better Jets Russia would agree with that in real life even if they won't say it China would agree with that real life even if they don't say it we can see it up there we've got the figures I've shown you how I've modeled them America is better today is more about can we find a way to get the red axes to win the fight there are slightly better than they were last time it's a lower radar cross section of the the fellow and it's a much better more realistic flight model for the j-20 do you think and we haven't managed to do this so far so far America has always win won these battles can we get away for the red coalition to win this battle no yes sock I need to upgrade my social credit score so I definitely believe the j-20 will pull this out as a complete blowout if you can get him into a dogfight it's almost as maneuverable as a raptor no not quite but it's getting pretty good anyone else yeah last time we ran this the j20sd did hold its own the uh fell on let it down on that side so I'm hoping it'll be a much more interesting fight this time if we split the team is fairly almost certain America will win because they've simply got a bit of figures here but we'll give it our best from the red side we want to try and beat the Americans stand by welcome in viewers first round red Simba j20 Matrix fell on me fell on fire dad j20 those other boys Americans guys so straight up fight we're gonna lose how we're gonna win this I think yeah get down get down low and hide in The Valleys if we get him a dog fight these planes are just as good as airplanes so if we can get them into dogfight we might even in fact we're probably better than F-35 so we'll learn them in that's our best chance right I think the uh 57 felons might stick together uh J 20 to go ahead a bit your detectability is very good they'll only see you about maximum 25 miles I imagine us we can be seen at 50 miles so you guys go ahead and they'll hopefully see us early come towards us and you guys can slam a Minnesota also Americans are confident in their planes they'll be up high probably looking down they'll be super confident look for any signs of stuff like that keep your Radars off unless you really need it guys because they're homing on our Radars myself Matrix are going east um the other boys are going west three two one already there let's do a thing okay we've got two radar sources already split okay mere Matrix we're going on a notch Notch to get past that sound Matrix we'll be traveling quite fast uh we were talking about maneuverability in dogfight the j20 is my new flight model it's it's all right it's not going to turn with a raptor but it's it's all right this one here is not my diet model but this one is pretty good if I can't remember it is or not but there's so many of these things I can't remember this one here is actually pretty maneuverable this aircraft here pretty up there pretty beaten F16 it's um it's good like I said we're in pairs this time viewer so can watch each other six why because it's kind of when you do 5th gen versus fifth gen viewers it's kind of like going back to World War II we always have this discussion so we're back to wingman pairs watching each other six um which is what happens when you put big Technologies you know how they're leaving their Radars on viewers the Americans are very confident they always are because yeah it's on a standard bottom left of copper if you're in 57 whichever so those Raptors can go straight in viewers but the the we have the notch in these in because our RCS is worse we're coming around here we'll find a valley we'll go there we'll go to usual wire we'll have a rumble once we're in a dog fight it's pretty much 50 50 who's going to win I'm just looking for a canyon Matrix and I found one supercruise all right some uh up high and I'm going to use my radar to try and find those Chinese and Russian Fighters the boys will be down low cleaning up just careful not to get caught in the sound guys I very much got caught will turn into a wagon wheel as soon as we get in combat all from One Direction but not straight down the gullet because they're ready for that so I'm thinking of coming right right right yeah same thing just a mountainous area where we can dodge missiles right but yet we're in a wagon wheel so what we're going to do then guys if you see Porter Williams I was going to take us in stealth mode to Porter Williams and then cyclists kind of around into that marshy area to the South that's got loads of nice cover and sort of coming as a blob behind them there that's something different how about that yeah the only snag with going that way is that the terrain is lower so you get more Marine cover from the West correction I'll take us to the other way but I won't put mark on just in case they last time note how Reds went all off in our comp in this direction here for bread reasons you kept just far enough away so our missiles couldn't get you it's all rather annoying we started vectoring the boys in and then the thing happened someone got behind us somehow and I don't know how it happened oh look at that look at it push now here's the thing I was so confident that no one was around me I just had no idea pushing soccer there that's annoying sock finds Matrix so I saw both Matrix and cap here because of their Fox threes that came off their their wings I had no I had no radar contacts whatsoever and just shot him down yep I had no idea you guys were around here I thought I was certain you're all in front of me that's how uh lack of what did I get a kill there uh yeah so drop goes down and then I'm like okay they're all in front of me still so yeah suddenly something hits me from behind which turned out to be sock that was frustrating and a lack of situational awareness that goes back to the American overconfidence seeing again when you're in a raptor you just think you're unbeatable that was annoying never mind then just massive hunt happened uh the first day bumper to Cannonball uh and then Cannonball vectors us to him so we decided to help him out yep we'll shoot him down but yeah and now it's 2v2 which is pretty good you guys bump into each other Simba which comes down here it turns just the wrong way gets a missile on him evades I got my vsl I got my vsl and he pops right out in front of me there and then two separate dog fights happen each weird dog fights because grim reapers I suppose if I had to chase his push and he just can't all of his missiles just run out of juice because that rap that fell on really fast and push just runs away for ages and they try and they run out of missiles you two have your equally weird dog fight um where sock is offensive another missile doesn't track for some reason I think he's having problems with the stealth there's a missile there from Simba I think but I can't tell a thing happens I flare out for it they physically hit that they physically hit each other there but they both survive it uh some damage to the both planes then they carry on and someone's got done you two lose each other somehow I don't know how you do that but you do uh and then fight Adam push Avatar circles I'm just watching on the right for the time being finally finally he gets anyone 20 to lock done you boys Simba requires ghost missiles out uh uh damp just goes over the hill and gets rid of them somehow well done oh what happens there oh yeah similar Place itself up so it's a thing unfortunately head on Five Mile shot so we'll have to um figure out why that's blowing itself up now viewers uh there's a lot of work that goes into keeping these things just barely working as you've probably realized uh fire dad shoots that there's a one-on-one and they uh if I had some to be honest terrible shooting and runs out of ammo and that's it really good great Dodge animal shooting that's a great way a nice way of putting it and uh I thought he was great fire dad was absolutely amazing in the corkscrew here you do video maneuvering because I've not made that flight models because they're Aptos and you've you generally got any six a couple of times Well Done um eventually Raptor would have won because he was only six or most of the time but there's not much to do you're out of ammo so the thing happened as a final summary then this last one was a draw but the other break four were American victories as we predicted they would be and we fought as hard as we could on both sides it's just how it is just better planes as we've got the model although the Gap is getting smaller smaller bit by bit we'll go away we'll fix the F35 but otherwise we've got nothing to show in this fight until the next major update happens any remarks guys oh it didn't show that I did hit you I attribute every skill that I have in that last dog fight to the F-14 campaign speed and angels I would highly suggest everyone play that it'll teach you a lot of stuff that you just didn't know you did hit him fire but there's
