Dalton Rostov one in O in Bellator want to know as a pro and for the first time he will visit with Big John McCarthy right after a moment class respect in prayer with his opponent Cody Bible [Music] I'm here with your winner Dalton Rasta you came into this with a pro debut fight how much pressure will you feel in coming in this cage for the first time a lot of pressure I've never fought first before I've had a long wrestling career I boxed his amateur fight MMA I've never never competed first before everybody to set the tone and that was something different today and I think I overcame I thought she looked fantastic obviously he went down stepping back with a knee injury but it was the face that you were setting him up with and the hands that you as a six in no amateur boxer and that you're seven and OH as an amateur never man you came in here and showed everyone exactly what you're made of as far as your hands thank you I appreciate that and thank you for everybody that came out it's a great fight thank you to Cody for taking the fight and thank you my coaches Isaac from the mat factory Sam and Christos I couldn't be here without them they make me who I am well I tell you congratulations on winning that pro debut we look forward to seeing you in the future ladies and gentlemen your winner Dalton rough stuff our tale of the tape for this welterweight matchup for and Oh for Joey Davis Marcus Anthony coming in off a very recent victory you want to know and is that old saying Mike someone's old has got to go it certainly dies here as Michael C Williams ladies telling tonight here at Pechanga Resort Casino the Bellator 219 prelims continue now with three five-minute rounds in the welterweight division introducing the blue corner first at five foot knee love and weighing in 169 point 4 pounds his professional record early on stands at 1 and oh by way of Detroit he fights out of semi California Marcus explosion Anthony and across the cage his adversary out of the red corner at five foot eleven weighing in 169 point four pounds he's undefeated as a professional for victories without a defeat he fights to the action James beers James beers once again our referee welterweight matchup for an old Joey Davis against one a no Marcus Anthony explosion making his Bellator debut are you ready ready fight we are underway tonight's fight clock touched by Miller Lite Brit taste and only 96 calories red gloves for Joey Davis blue gloves for Marcus Anthony little switch stance early Josh by Marcus Anthony yeah Anthony needs to keep the reins a little bit I'm not trying to just rush in like that because obviously Joey Davis has the Resta to get him down anytime he wants his fight to get to the ground that's the key factor for joy Joey wants to be in the stand-up because he is always trying to improve his game and improve a stand-up and be more confident what he does but he always has that the back and I want to take you to the ground my only concern with that is that as young fighters that are foreign-owned they start getting addicted to the stand up and they forget about their roots and that's something that he cannot afford to do given the his pedigree with wrestling is so good you cannot get away from that I totally agree with everything you're saying there and it's guys they started getting enamored because the knockout is so cool it's so it seems so easy when it happens and he's had those fast knockouts he's had him through kicks he's had him with his hands and so you've got to always remember we're what brought you to the party and it is his wrestling to God try to complete the takedown here 90 seconds into the fight when you were talking about the stand up and how he's progressing in that my concern is you live by the sword you die by the sword and you got to begin with which is weighing on a double leg got the takedown and then also just putting it back down that's the other thing letting them get up taking them back down that is honestly one of the most frustrating things when you're fighting somebody it is so difficult if so hard but people understand that sometimes a guy will actually let you khabib nurmagomedov he's big and I'm gonna take you down it kind of lets you up just so I can prove Jack and bring you right back down and make you work harder than you want to work in getting up and then you're right back in this old legend Randy Couture yep like he wouldn't let you up but as you got up he was taking you right back down I've seen it I've seen him great great countless people doing that he embraced the grind they always talked about with these great wrestlers Joey Davis being one of them I'm like what Joey's doing here he has the risk and soy's trying to feed it from the side to the other kinda lazy behind the back there is a good way to open up and it makes Marquez have to reach over with his other hand to block any punches so this has always been one of my biggest concerns with wrestlers is they don't they know how to ride from the wrestling positions but they don't know how to put their hooks in or they don't wanna put their hooks and they don't feel comfortable doing that they've been wrestling their whole life and they ride them from the side positions and Lance strikes but they don't know how to control them adjust to position I really couldn't tell you I tried with one of the best Daniel Cormier and I've trained with other guys that are top wrestlers Mike Van Arsdale they never wanted to put their hooks in no I can tell you one of the real real reasons for it is by putting hooks and especially in MMA you can end up you still have your opponents back what your back is to the ground it's to the canvas and they are so accustomed to be at the top that they just don't want to be where they have their back again product just a little bit second round one for an old Joey Davis one and oh Marcus Anthony you can see marques anthems getting a little bit tired here his arms getting a little heavy and that's from look at grappling one of the things that's going to do it is going to make you expend energy and when you're having to push hard against a guy that technically is superior to you those aren't get heavy very fast a little bit up an adrenaline dump as well partner this being is first time under the bright lights and again most highly touted prospects in the game right now in Joey Davis Joey looks very calm very in control rate well that's because everything is going it with the way he wants it to he's the one controlling the pace the position the location to find everything right now but never ever think that you should play with an opponent you should always be [Applause] now finish good Joey Davis still found something in that well Deanie you know you're looking this is what we're talking with Josh and I are talking with Sam get it got it gets all some use of those big shots they like it look at the left hand and then it comes the big right hand over the top that left-hand mark this is down right on the button boom folks it down you see he just starts to wake up as he's falling in that hand starts to go out but not enough for the rest they say I'm gonna let you take anymore big right hand puts him down watch him go snip bone look at the look look at the arms all of a sudden then the arm comes out that's telling you his brain starting to reconnect too late Joey coming in with that right hand good stop beautiful with what made that combination work was the fact that he was able to lift Anthony's chin up with the jab and then he was able to come over the top with the overhand right that wouldn't hurt had he not been able to get out to get look to the step to the lights of the ceiling that right hand wouldn't have landed and that was beautiful work by Joey Davis Joey Davis had to knocked out with a spinning back kick against him Butler and now the over the top right hand finishes the night of Marcus Anthony were quickly see a JV team talking to his teammate AJ McKee Aaron Tico baby slice looked at the guys at team body shop and really Josh you're looking at the future mixed martial arts it all starts with the head coach the lats are lucky yep it all starts with him and I'm telling you right now he was somebody that never got the respect he deserved in the sport of it men and the fact that he's got just a stable of just dumb killers is awesome to see because I actually truly admire the things that he's doing that he's getting these young guys to dial it down and focus on defining their craft I'm so happy for me congratulations to Joey Davis Michael C Williams to make it official ladies and gentlemen inside the Bellator cage it comes to an end suddenly four minutes 21 seconds round number one the winner by knockout still undefeated Joey so to really win by knockout all three have come in round number one for Joey Davis here's Big John congratulations my friend that was a beautiful ride hand that just touched him right on the chin put him out he was stiff going down just started a wake up he's here the ground you're coming after him five and old inside this Bellator cage what is it that you want next just keep working hard and progressing I just want to thank my coaches I want to thank my family for putting me here on his earth and um but what's next is just uh keep progressing I got a lot to work on as my last fight I didn't look at the way I wanted to look but I'm just blessed tonight that I got to uh I got the W you're wrestling when you took him down then you control position that seemed to be what started to set up his hands started to come down as you started to come in with your face his hands start drop down did you see all of that happening in front of you absolutely but John I know that uh I didn't want to take him down too early in the beginning because I knew I would have gave away some of my tips but I got to take down I knew it was easily worn him down a little bit and I just wanted to work my movement work my moving and plan what I can land well if given an opportunity at five and oh who is it that you want to take on next in this cage no one no one I still got like just get better I'm not gonna call out anyone right now at five I know but I will be a dominant force in Bellator I will be hard to reckon with and I can't wait to that day comes well I can't wait to that day comes to I love the attitude I love the work ethic congratulations on a beautiful performance ladies and gentlemen your winner Joey Davis our tale of the tape for this matchup here live from Pechanga Bantam weight fight 8 wins in the career Bunch 14 in the career of Masada you know I looking at bunch he's in the second part of his career because he came in as a straight wrestler he is now a guy that's got good hands utilizing the wrestling had a great win against Joe Warren but he is facing a monster and Dominic Masada your idol but you're gonna say that but Shawn bunch though the speed and they're able to create the angles and how fast he is on the double legs I think is gonna have a great chance of getting this win tonight Michael C Williams with the official introductions from Pechanga Resort Casino we welcome you back now to the Bellator MMA global app for the post lives here at Bellator 219 beginning with bantamweight set for three 5-minute pounds and introducing the blue corner at five-foot-seven Wang in 136 pounds even his professional record 14 wins two losses from Lower Burrell Pennsylvania presenting Dominick the honey badger Masada and across the cage his adversary out of the red corner at five foot five weighing in 135 point 2 pounds as a professional eight wins three defeats fighting out of San Jose introducing Shawn bunch in charge of the action your referee Frank Trigg Frank Trigg our referee Jackie good Mike bantamweight battle Shawn bunch and Dominic Masada ready ready right here we go tonight's fight clock brought to you by Miller Lite great taste and only 96 calories Shawn bunch out of San Jose California in the red gloves Dominick Masato the Pennsylvania kid in the blue gloves this right here is a great weight class at bantamweight for both these guys Mazama started out as a feather way and was fighting guys that were a lot bigger than him when it came to fight day now at 135 you're seeing he's the same size and he is a very tough that's why they call him the honey badger it was a very tough and durable fighter we saw with Joe Warren he couldn't have a bunch of speed it's just he's so fast so it's closing there I think the concern is that doing things like that rushing in when it doesn't need to it needs to create a little bit of an angle throw the punch of the combination and then go in for the takedown we know that we know that bunch he's got an incredible you know wrestling background all-america Edinboro he's got the wrestling and at the beginning of his career that's all he was doing he was out trying to out wrestle guys instead of fighting as an MMA fighter and what we're seeing now is he is now starting to fight like an MMA fighter he's opening up good opportunities to punch on the crowd this is the difference now he's punching when he used to just always control and I can tell you I speak from express I've trained with him and I train with him quite a bit as the fight goes on it's getting harder and harder firm lisanna to actually control Shawn Bunch AIDS Bellator fight for Shawn Bunch five wins inside the Bellator cage his last victory in the first round TKO finish lazier of Joe Warren that fight against Joe Warren bunch showed exactly what he is capable of in MMA fight because Joe learned has been a multiple time world champion and he just overwhelmed Joe Warren hit him with shots I honestly believe he broke his jaw on that fight and you look at what bunch did that is the guy that we need see from now on and for Dominic Masada winner of 11 of his last 12 fights his only loss was by knockout - AJ McGee in his Bellator debut a fight at 145 so this is a great matchup to start our post limb coverage lip-read Glocks were bunched blue gloves for lazada on body aka San Jose California the home of Shawn Bunch the mat factory and some time in South Florida at Hard Knocks 365 for Dominic Rosado you see bugs every time that barn splitters got ahead and gets a little bit of space for posture he's bringing his shot down on dominant that's exactly what he needs to do throughout this fight to be successful he does that he's gonna he didn't do that a lot when he first told you earlier of his progression though on how he actually opened up on the ground of now before when he would wrestle he was just waste all his energy squeezing and holding not realized that or he should have realized there's a 15-minute fight you know it opens yeah there's winter down back he's back he's on the ground masses over it doesn't work that way so but what I can't tell you though is he's actually learned more of the Jitsu game not as if he's gonna hit the submissions but on defending every position look at what he's doing look at her posture he's creating head is high now he's on to doing a good job of utilizing his legs there to try to spin through but bunches having nothing of it he's the guy in control his positions both of these guys come from strong teams they're very well trained man the pressure breakfast was a big fight John as you pointed out earlier in the week for both of these men bombs coming up perhaps pacing the second best fighter of his professional career I think it's a huge fight for both guys because Sean's coming off of that victory were talking about with Joel Warren and Dominick is coming off the unanimous decision went over UFC veteran Josh sample and both these guys they both have the ability in a very short time to get into title contention in the bantamweight division I mean Masada was on a nine fight win streak when he fought AJ McKee outside of his natural bantamweight weight class at 145 back to Bellator 178 Josh you're talking about we're gonna see come out of Bellator in the future and only the future will tell us that but I'm simply saying AJ mcusic future story is a star now the fact that he lost to him that to me it doesn't mean anything I mean it I'm sure it affects him put honestly no blemish there's 12 other guys on that list is what you're saying he lunges in here right here they Masada comes over the top bull big overhand right now luckily his head was down enough where Sean bunch was able to grab and get the front headlock position and then was on a pulled guard from there and he was not able to create that fist turning over if they had turned over that lands with a lot more power this round town fights Denton for three five-minute rounds Sean bunch in the red gloves dominant lazada the honey badger in the blue gloves he will switch his stands back and forth as he just would yes indeed Sean Bunch Orthodox but he wrestles left foot forward that comes from his Socko background you know one of the things you just seem out of Mazon right there he went for that knee tap takedown and I don't even think that he believes he's going to land that but I do believe he wants bunch to have to think about it and in thinking about it it will stop some of the progression of what Shawn Brooks big but what he did though is he shot on that or he's reaching to the knee or he just shot right now but what he's doing though is he's coming out of a boat with that overhand right what punches he's so fast so quick with his takedown defense as well as he's shot but what he when he does drops his hands at that down blocked position and when that happens that's what opens up that overhand right when asked by our researcher Cory Brady anything else fans should know he said yes I'm the fastest man on the planet and he just say matter was there other words in though maybe maybe I added it wrote it down but that's what it said well you don't it's true look at masada is not a slow fighter but against punch you look at their movement you go wow he's slow he's not lazada born in Pittsburgh grew up in North tensing Tim's fencing Eddie Alvarez like I was telling you earlier the first round would be a lot easier for Masada to get the submission but from that from now on bunch I've trained with him multiple times as he gets sweaty it's almost impossible to catch him in submissions two-time all-american wrestler from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania placed second and third graduated in 2006 very small school in the middle of nowhere the you have an outstanding wrestling program Josh Koscheck Chris Honeycutt come to mind but Sean bunches guys King mo lived with King mo and Colorado Springs obviously close with you Josh and Daniel Cormier made the Olympic World Team was at the Olympic Training Center for a year and a half his credentials when it comes to wrestling are very very real I love what I see out a bunch as far as his arm position he always used to over extend his arms Josh get his arms out or put his hands to the ground and that would cause him a problem and he's not doing any of those things now you know what the common mistake for wrestlers right when they first get into anime is they posture up and try and drive all their weight into the prognoses you're holding your own body weight up the whole thigh and then next thing you know you're tired and gassed out so you're expending energy where you don't need to Shawn's remedy that position you saw that a lot back in the day with Mike Van Arsdale food waste energy in position he didn't eat - Sean's learned not to do that now I would like to see him start opening up a little bit more strikes with Masada's got a pretty active guard he's got a good guard right now he's holding that guard in position but I believe Bunch feels comfortable where he's at it's when he brings his head up he's doing well when he pleases head down a little bit of problems as far as what Quezada brings but not a good kneebar take when you're out it's not gonna be anything unless he can hope that leg nice job a buncha to get out 90 seconds on the clock to you in round two Misano 14 and two we talked about the loss in the Bellator cage to Ajay McKee his only other setback was back in March of 2014 to Kody Garber second round TKO for Garber looking at your losses against Cody gar Brandt and AJ McKee that is kind of my point here doing okay stop trying to titles will be on the line when the Bellator cage returns to San Jose Walter a champion warrior donald duck faces John Fitch in the final fight of the opening round of the welterweight world grand prix club salim elaine mcfarland looks to the planner flyweight title for the third time which she battles feet to Arteaga that Saturday April 27th exclusively on to zone sometimes you're watching fighter and they'll do something and they'll do it again and again and you go why are you going back to something that you have been unsuccessful with and you see mazanik trying to go and shoot that take back against a guy that looketh he's just got a better rested bed you had and it's gonna be very very slight in the fact if you are able to get that takedown against that guy I kind of would think that on the feet he feels like the speed is a little bit too much is making him flinch they can react he's wasting energy in that position he doesn't wanna get here with the clean shot trying to go ahead that choke right now but was that kick enough to win the round absolutely not lunch wins that round lazada has got to figure out what do I need to do to change the course of this fight because right now I believe he's down two rounds to none and he's gonna have to either pull out a dominant round to bring it into a draw or get that submission or knockout to take the win dunk John I would have to agree with you you don't have to but you know big swinging a Miss for the honey badger he knows that sense of urgency John and Josh said you guys just referred to you can see on the scorecard Big John ten nine ten nine yeah I just heard his corners say right before at the very end the tail into him break-ins and that you need to get the submission or get the finish so maybe that little fire under his but for him to start coming out there and get after it moves odd up looking for the head kick stepped into it no switch there this has always been my concern a little bit with sharp aren't you it gets a little complacent as the rounds go on a trailer them all Adama I've set out a couple times he gets completely gets like overly relaxed from those position that scares me hamster colleges floating around by your chin you saw it was on it through the head kick and he wasn't really ready for and it kind of slapped his gloves lucky wasn't in range see right now this is this is what I talk about what you're sitting still you're losing and if your punch you gotta realize I do not have this choke this is not gonna work he's got my legs I can't bring any kind of physical power into it so don't settle for it start to move yourself start to scramble out do not accept this position what he's gonna do is they're talking hip high spectacle now see are jewelers who skaters [Applause] hooks into a platinum I keep that chin tough to fight wrist control to his right not allowing one of those arms to get over that from Tom nickers autumn what what punch does really well is he's patient here when he does the sweats already there he's going to spin soon is Lozada short to try to poop that is so I saw Joe shielding him so well in the third round of his fight with a bit different position you're talking about one being mounted and using a bridge hit that position back to guard you just saw a bunch man the horses back he has no offense but he spins inside of that attack and that's where if you're mazanik you got to look at it I want to contrive this that's when you start going to that figure-four go to the body triangle think about what you doing his legs were in the position where the game punch the opportunity to make that spin this is what you were talking about earlier though about how you liked his hand position earlier within the moment there he was his both his arms were on the mat for Battleship opportunities to be attacked either as triangle are bars anything so they stand them up princess with just over two minutes on the clock what parts likes to do from this position sometimes when you guys get to unity he'll wait for you to try to look the other look and he'll dump you on the far side punch punch the great pleasure takes you to the midsection where's old school foot stop ninety seconds remains in this fight both of these success of these takedowns isn't pulling him away from the fence create a little bit of space out out wrestling a note with you but why would you wrestle him against an event you're really a better wrestler I'm out in the open just press them out in the open so I've always tried there has encouraged me to do that each about the fence don't have you against the fence there's no reason for you to have to you're the better restaurant in the open field don't forget we want to fly you in Atlanta with this MacDonald John Fitch on Ypres Tory Sabbath an illegal a McFarland PETA Artega a $10 donation of fries vo is all it takes to enter your donation don't affected by the devastating wildfires in California learn more at /mm a second just talking about weren't started to kind of push into the fence and lazatti put too much straight forward and became and Shawn jumped him out going on to the back it's like playing a video game he's on a trying to bring him up into a triangle trying to hold that arm to get his leg up bunch being smart in his attack and seeing that set up and backing himself off with that bring in so it back down on got a big crash left before mr. Shawn wants to put on right now I mean I'm impressed but I mean I kind of knew what he was capable of just a matter of whether he showed up and did it and I thought he did I mean obviously I would like to see him open up a little bit more in the second a little bit more in the third round the first round was perfect scorecards are in here's Michael C Williams ladies don't have to call the distance we'll go to your three judges at cage side the first judge Jackie denken scores it 30 to 27 your second touch Michael Bell 29 to 28 your third judge David rathgaber scores at 30 27 I'll have it for the winner by unanimous decision Sean Hodge unanimous decision victory second row thirty year old David Rickles against thirty one-year-old AJ Matthews now other than the render this tale of the tape is virtually identical honey in five four Rickles he's got a lot of experience and a lot of wins because he's good 1984 Matthew's you look at all the fights he's had the winds come against great guys the losses have come against great guys Michael C Williams ladies gentlemen tonight from Peshawar Resort Casino Bellator MMA horse lives here at 219 now go to the welterweight division set for 3/5 MIT prawns introducing the blue corner at 5 foot 11 Wang in 170 pounds even his professional record nine and eight he fights [Applause] across the cage his adversary fighting out of the red corner at 6-foot Wang Han 170 point eight pounds as a professional 20 victories five defeats both dirty caveman wrinkled and a referee in charge of the action Jason Herzog Patricio pitbull Michael Chandler David Rickles - tricky pit bull all with 16 wins Joe Warren with 14 crowdfunder you ready buddy you ready lekha ricklefs for tricky and Joe boy pardon me with 14 Patricio and Chandler and they're gonna play with 16 we are underway tonight's late clock flexion by Miller Lite 3 chase and only 90 six calories red gloves for wrinkles blue gloves for Matthews [Applause] [Music] that's what Eastern [Applause] keep about bees [Applause] inside here [Applause] [Applause] choosing the shots I'd like to see a little bit more a little girls to try to finish this fight his leg wrinkles get back to the fight right now finishes wrinkles just did right there that's a wildly veteran oh I lost my mouthpiece so it's just five seconds more time ten seconds that I can get right around a game any chats on him that is a smart veteran father probably the greatest fun I've ever seen in boxing zone in which the referee took point four but it did give the judges come on twice big job huh I don't know Jason Herzog knows it without that mountain down on it can give an advantage to AJ as far as the Atlanta shot it can do damage to Dave Rick normally we want to get that mouthpiece back in that mouth as quick as you can because a fighter does not have that many would you call it so you tell em [Music] the club supported slightly I'm gonna start taking points because with his huge gaining in an unfair advantage we saw what happened to Frank Mir in Hawaii without the mouthpiece exactly but Rick was is in that type of hider so I wonder what this is a new mouthpiece something he just didn't Boulder properly I've never seen a new music the bruising two or three times does it make sense it doesn't keep it where it sucks I understand but I'm trying to figure out whether it's a new mouthpiece possibly buzzing it wasn't molded properly you see every time he opens his mouth it's coming down yeah I'm here actually that is mouthpiece well new or not it's really dirty now Josh I just like to prove it John wrong yeah [Applause] [Music] [Applause] time to recover backpedal fight he's been bad [Applause] beautiful the [Applause] [Applause] we found ourselves [Music] [Applause] here's the beginning where AJ Matthews lands up big right hand puts wrinkles down you see his hands go back he knows where he's at but he has a hard time controlling his body in position AJ goes after another big hand but then here comes Rickles lands multiple shots you see the stiffness in AJ man he's right he then goes down bounces back up is trying to fight that and stumbling across the ring falls into the cage all of these shots taking a toll on him and by the end of the round Dave Rickles had brought himself back into that fight between him and a man big enough to win the round yes sir he took the words right out of my mouth Goldy Josh backing up during the round in your mind all right so back enough to win the round for David ripples ripples Country Joe boring 14 wins in the Bellator cage Patricio pitbull Michael Chandler tied with 16 at number one all-time 22nd Bellator fight tonight for Rickles that's tops in battle history some five shots here in round two his dirty fighting inside is very good gentle and good shots what AJ needs to feel is Center down he hit gave me some of those best shots sometimes when you hit something with your best shots and you can't put them away you're thinking what do I need to do to get this guy to stop and what you need to do is calm down and say I'm just yeah you go back to begin her first round what AJ was doing as well as he was actually lightening up for some of the kicks going into boxing which is what Dave Ricker's walks he's punch out with you more [Music] but that mouthpiece key spot to kill the ball boy now let's just clarify though he's a mouthpiece that huge he forgot his original one at home had to go to Walmart a pick one [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] I'll give you you got to say what is your responsibility as a fighter your responsibility is to keep that mouthpiece in your mouth it is not stop stalling the fight that could be installed where AJ has you even heard and so it comes a point where the referee is gonna have to start taking points for him losing Bath County's a I've had fights I had a fight with Joe Schilling and kickboxing born Marcus Simon was an undefeated $39.99 fighter took in overtime points for him using his mouthpiece but to the thighs thank you ain't a sweat midway point of a great battle between these two battle tested veterans Mathews did damage early ripples to damage late in round one nice outside trip by Dave Rickles and Jamie's be careful the knees right here [Applause] AJ continues to bring him there's that lead elbow again by the king get his head off fine there you go back to the kicks to help you stand is right now he's letting he's letting de vehicles just tee off ages and his writings it is not moving is not is not a lot think he got home cook Jon's other words yeah right same is right on I didn't see the Pope live it was a frightening middle-level punch combination so he could have reached out beautiful right hand by Rickles punch with a left hand okay that was not that is not [Applause] [Music] manses fights over I try to explain to people sometimes the MMA gloves are so small they'd get right in the eye socket we've see it all the time with broken or rules I'm not saying that's what he has but you see the ice well automatically and right from then he used to said he couldn't see if I got punch the right the eye fingers up saying wow what a fight what a disappointing way for it to end man that was fun this gives us a reason to run it back that's it got that right the big difference is when you have a legal blow like what ripples landed with that left there is no timeout all right you can't call timeout that's a legal blow if you can't continue on fight this fights over so I will go as a TKO victory for David Rickles 15-love it's Bellator career the man adversity early for David wrinkles gel most feel like he fights better after going through some adversity early in the fight you saw him kind of settle in as the fight started carrying on he's got Atlantic clean shots so I kind of picking apart figuring out what ajm' out he's gonna do and when he did that you saw at the end of that round he hit him oh do a couple clean shots gibble a drop-in twice oh well him what he did was he consumes his shots around the ribcage Trent trying to avoid the shots and he earned the victory here's Michael C Williams to make it official ladies done it inside the Bellator cage the blue corner unable to continue officially 324 round number two the winner by TKO David 7 career win by knockout beau always entertaining and here's John there is no better place for Joe to be then down there unconscious Dave Rickles what a fight brother yeah you came in here and in the beginning he hits you in the right hand puts you on the deck what do you remember about that situation [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] yeah I uh I'm never getting dropped I never saying not today [ __ ] this is my cage this is my cage my daughter and my son and watching me at home I said not today bro all right I gotta talk to you about the mouthpiece because obviously dude that was not see a minute let me have that thing get rid of it okay that pig was horrible what was going on with that thing well I forgot my mouthpiece at home so I had to get a damn Walmart mouthpiece something's any sponsors out there and I want to send me a mouthpiece please holler at me I want a congratulations on a beautiful victory outstanding comeback ladies and gentlemen the caveman Dave Rickles our tale of the tape between the 30-year old and the 24-year old Jenna Harding we are very familiar with Harding's got a lot of height a good reach advantage but she is facing a very good submission fighter can she keep this fight on her feet Michael C Williams and I ladies jumping inside the Bellator cage we go three five-minute rounds in the featherweight division introducing first the blue corner at five foot six she weighed in 144 point four pounds her professional record for wins one loss fighting out of st. Petersburg Russia presenting marina whoa ha Makena and across the cage her adversary out of the red corner at five foot ten twenty one hundred forty four point six pounds her professional record four and three by way of the Gold Coast she fights I love Sydney Australia today huh boy hardy I talked to the oxygen referee Frank Trigg Frank Trigg our referee and check this out from janae Harding stay hard against a cannibal and she opened up a cut with an elbow that cut is deemed to be too big for this fight to go on past the first round she gets a TKO victory we are underway tonight's fight clock let's you by Miller Lite great taste and only 96 calories Harding in the red gloves Mohawk Nick Tina in the blue gloves thank you so much yes so months janay in the red gloves marina in the blue gloves master of sports in [ __ ] this is marinas first fight outside of Russia and our Bellator debut this right here is a big moment in the fight even though it's new for janay can she she is the better stand-up fighter and if Melina has to really work hard to try to get her down that's gonna be an advantage can when asked about this fight Josh that's what Jenny said I believe my striking will be my biggest advantage here's the thing her striking is her biggest advantage she hasn't quite figured out useful striking she actually does a lot of her best work inside the clinch the knees the elbows on the break and things like that we saw that in her last why was he able to get the cut and the win with the elbow and that was all close range fighting she's good most people trying to fight her on the inside because it they want to try to get it she's so tall along shotokan karate black belt janae Harding Kiwi born in New Zealand fighting out of Sydney Australia all of her fights before tonight at 1:30 fiber she also fights at 1:35 tonight they meet at 1:45 Marina the same she's coming off a bantamweight title fight overseas fight nights yep the full five rounds and she lost my decision yeah majority decision in that one partner six times Samba world champion nine-time Russian national [ __ ] champion her husband is a Samba land MMA fighter as well you tell him to take down what she should have done there shut up or away from the fence as soon as she good that fence is a balance point but that's exactly what you nee needs to use use that balance point get yourself back to your feet and make her work very hard for this position so if those of you guys don't understand Samba what I'm trying to explain to you is that Samba was not just double legs big lifts and takes down and laughs little drops like that what they are is foot sweeps foot trips you know things the of things along those on a hip toss those are the kind of take tough look like we just saw one of the things that watching marina she is very good with her leg locks give me bars good heel hugs and a very good toe hold what I like what she's doing right there is every time Jen a tried to get up she grabbed the leg and lifted it so she couldn't get all the way up to her feet that also opens up the availability they go ahead and attack if you see today start use that [ __ ] you're gonna see exactly them we're going for that leg attack [Music] a lot of trouble yourself expose I do not think that anyone should go out there straight and walk in MMA it's not a good position to be in especially your underneath you want to switch it to a hill great but the straight ankle lock there's more discomfort and pain that it is damaged yeah if you want to go healer toehold anyone knee bars or his lines but right now she's training for LA tonight whoever says she's leaving her some wide open for shot especially when they are to be so tall none of the reaches still standing while she's trying to attack the ankle lock just take boudoir shots [Applause] whatja maybe start doing here is trying to separate the feet try to use her but try to kick and make space together I was trying to see yeah the position she's gonna make that happen trying to attack that knee bar now if she can is to try to go back to like a hill over leg lock again but much to both your guys point she's taking a lot of damage in the process that's exactly right now she found inside of me bar now she's in a position where she can do damage that is a tightly bar but you can look at today she was not feeling that pressure right now she's allowing that to go if she should push put her foot exactly the office worked out use that foot to press rock it gives face and get that knee past that hip Junction what marina needs to do is drop her butt down a little bit okay so let do something but down and readjust and snap [Applause] underneath her armpit more leverage matter marina really going after janae remain extremely Paul but you could see us today's walking to her corner take a look at her walk that kneebar had an effect she's trying to walk over take a look at the walk we have he's having a problem yeah you can say that as welcome Reena got up limping as well ready run everyone in the book set for round two Harding in the red Makena in the blue both fighters with four professional victories pardon miss her third Bellator fight for st. Petersburg Russia marina Mohawk the team at this is a Bellator debut now is where Janee should use that reach Josh that you were talking about earlier take advantage of every ground starting on the feet now I'd always love I've seen her fight her first her first 2000 I thought it is to utilize that push kick enough give him/her light in her raise how long she is right to the clinch as I'm getting taken down Marina has a very nice use of that pressure in that lateral drop to get her opponent down on the mat try to position herself he's ratting him out she has a distinct advantage in the ground fighting as a matter of ken'janae keep herself and getting in trouble with all the submissions that marina is good at well in all four of the professional wins have come by submission all in round number one two arm bars and E bar and an Achilles line we are in round two this one Girardi tried the Achilles lock and that didn't work for her she went to the B bar it was a much tighter it was close and you can see as janae got up at the end of the round it did damage and you can't walk confidence that well there was a problem there today needs to be careful with her on the ground center yourself up take time right now what she has is not going to work and choking out today but jenay's Armas stuck right there so it's a really awkward because it is awkward you're right it's stuck underneath nerds trapped and it's in that leg with that cross garden Canaan throws punches trying to loosen up the hole Karina in this position gunner are free closed guard she just started trying to make space get her hands off the mat like we talked about with Sean bunch keep your hands off the mat keep them away they're all like up around the armpit area or the biceps start trying to make space back out of the Garcia key back here and that's exactly what you see in her left arm right now is trapped underneath the body of Marina and it's useless at this point you've got to create that motion you get that on that swing it up get your arm back up on top it's also a lot harder doing you're not fully sweating yet I know after around you think anything good mrs. sweat going he's gonna end up back on their feet and Big John when you ask out marina he said she is very active off her back so even when Jenna was in top position she was far from safe well she was the one who was actually created the posture today they did nothing on top yeah he's in the top position that's the position at every [Applause] some nasty kicks job yes shot to the midsection Stuart beautiful job and I've always liked people that have RAM to control lays over not always getting kid hunt not always go ahead honey she did a great job punching of the body bat hope opens up the hand also later on showing an axe kick for a moment that's a trick that I picked up a long time ago from you know other than fate or lourenço his ground-pound was a vicious be not always did he go to the head don't go to the body jump into the body yes watch really up kick but she's not me better to keep kicking isn't she jolly well she she's doing the right thing but you got to not Telegraph what you're gonna do it come in looking like you're gonna punch and throw that kick down and then bring the punch and you're gonna be more successful she does have the link to stands up leave in and throw a big right hand you got a lot [Applause] side control for today Harding final minute of round two legend is slicing that New York long time but she could do damage but will do something in the remainder of this fight [Applause] big shots from Jimmy Harding TNR for 15 seconds two seconds per minute [Applause] hardik time to finish this fight right now she's trying to defend herself with other fights going on one one hears that ground about look at the slice of the knee over doesn't try to lift the leg over slices it through that's smart fighting and when she gets up and postures look at the ground and pound going after big heavier shots trying to land elbows you look at what marinas doing she's trying to break the posture trying to bring her arms up to slice through that punching that's why the referee allowed that fight continue on all the way in the round five minutes waiting ready but third and final round there was a language barrier though high score card big job get eyes race this scorecard for game wine I've listened to your advice that's what yeah that that's exactly alright marina let's exact exhaustion yeah exhaust is exhausting you're exactly right here this is just the movement smart picture spots he's his big footwork she could just slowly and systematically tear her apart in this round yeah the only thing that concerns me with hardened stand up is that she doesn't ever settle her feet enough times to get power pop very true it almost looks at your sparring match so I mean like if she sat down on a couple of big punches you see it a little bit like with with the Diaz brothers then pop pop pop and they throw big punches this is what we're looking for her she moves around so much we she never settles her feet long enough to actually get some power behind one of the things you're seeing with today's she's utilized a lot of good good things but then she doesn't capitalize on upon the opening deserve yeah that's it it's it's part of what she's doing though she's bouncing around and there's no real rhyme or reason behind what she's doing she it's almost like it's she's shadow boxes all the time she does a lot of shadow boxes but there's no there's no pop to anything she does she's just going through the motions I see that a little bit understandable but you just said right there yep she's step to the right creaking within throw knees and throwing them 24 years old this is her eighth professional fight she had three amateur fights definitely continuing for evolution there was just a little bit of a tell and that's the San Jose saw when you were your rocks and flowers and you see them the guys like the chorus cop when he has no setup and he spins he go oh my god how does he do that and then he oughta find that hotel I grab everything that's coming their way but see something like that was very nice she dropped her way down step to the right what is a jab to the body nice job then she follow up with another right hand over the top leg a dragging left I just want to see her do something a little bit more than just the bouncing I love throwing ones and twos she has the potential to so much more exactly exactly right she starts to move a little too much and when you're looking at the movement sometimes it's just because she's making this third round a lot closer Boyle needs to be yeah and when you look at John scorecard and Josh I'm sure you agree at 1:1 a lot definitive in the statements she makes here in this final two minutes around three I think that today is Jay exact we'll just talk about such a seven feet just like you see the dinner as a chance of good [Music] especially at this point but geneious get up though win this round then at this point you gotta do some type of damage jacoub goes down that'll work too good towards your feet don't accept that position don't accept make something happen that just comes with more time honestly I gotta tell you she she looks fabulous on the beach is used to work on the enemy sparring portion of it not fit not the kickboxing portion of it we've seen it with Joe showing I'm not in no way am I trying to compare the two and Cake Boss will try to save others you see it though they're they're hesitant in certain things they don't wanna get too close they don't always throw power Joe talked about all of us at the knees you shoot out a little bit with her but in this situation she accepted the guard and she should have just Josh which was exactly the point I was making when I said 24 years old a pro fight 3 amateur fights to learning and she's learning at the highest level and some of her setbacks John had been to a very established mixed martial artist no doubt about it she lost to an amateur fights of innocence body Jessica stop fighting on your city she lost it or leave blank on fights here at bat or those are her losses both amateur player she has appeared she's very young [Applause] [Music] tarnish the distance and Mohawk majima bazaar [Applause] I who will get their arm raised here's Michael C Williams might be something for the decision we'll go to your judges at Kate sign your first judge Louise scorpion scores it 29:28 judge jackie Dinkins scores in 2927 your third and final judge David rathgaber scores it 29 to 28 I'll have it for the winner by unanimous decision today unanimous decision victory for Shanae Harding tale of the tape for our next fight this a contract about at 160 pounds Darren Smith jr. Joshua Jones a 3 to 15 intense there's a little bit of a reach advantage for Darren Smith but you gotta love Joshua Jones when he talks about his dad bod fight go see Williams and now ladies jumping from Pechanga Resort Casino we go three five-minute rounds at 160 pounds and introduce first the McCoy and five-foot-nine weighing in 159 pounds his professional record 15 wins 10 losses fighting out of Chino Hills California Darren [Applause] Jr and across the cage his adversary out of the red corner at five foot eight Wang in 160 pounds even as a professional eight victories three defeats fighting a Long Beach in charge of the action your referee Mike Pelton on white Beltran our referee a battle at 160 as our bonus coverage continues here on the zone in the Bellator app Darrin River junior fight Joshua Bell psycho Jones here we go tonight's fight clock brought to you by Miller Lite critiques and only 96 towers Jones in the red gloves he is a southpaw blue gloves for Darren Smith Jr who will turn 32 years old on the 5th of next month being from here in California I have seen both these guys that [Applause] 1973 days since its last Bellator appearance and man did he make the most of it big right hand from Darren Smith watch right in here bone that puts his lights out [Applause] right hand hurts him second right hand puts him away both look at that shot it is all over all that work at boxing works it wasn't to pay off it wasn't even a straight right hand I was a little uppercut an uppercut and that turned him around he was able to land the other right hook Michael C Williams will make it official ladies sell it inside the Bellator cage it comes to an end 34 seconds in the round [Music] [Applause] tale of the tape for our next fight here live from the Pechanga Resort Casino contracted at 175 John McCurry oh and Johnny Cisneros looking at that nice even this throughout both have good records a little bit of age difference 510 to 6 1 but the reach for material could be the difference millennia MMA for the tattoo terror Johnny Merck fighting out of Huntington Beach California Kings MMA and the Huntington Beach Fight Club under master Javier Cordero here's Michael C Williams and out ladies jumping inside the Bellator cage at 175 pounds we're set now for three five-minute rounds introducing first the blue corner at 6-foot one way in one hundred seventy four point two pounds his professional record eight and eight he fights out of Huntington Beach California Johnny more material across the geishas adversary out of the red corner at five foot ten wagon one hundred seventy three point eight pounds as a professional twelve victory six defeats fighting out of Southern California introducing Tommy the two tethers Cisneros in charge of the action James Beales James beers our referee for this 175 pound fight representing SoCal Southern California material and Cisneros tonight's fight clock that you by Miller Lite rates and only 96 calories nice wizard by Mercurio see Johnny coming in trying to get that body long take two parodies a good wizard to bring right back down where he needs to be [Music] [Applause] how many hours you think he spent in that chair just a couple just a couple you gotta fall in love with a certain buzz to get an avenue tattoos new johnny has been that way since I've known him and both guys movin guys have been here on the California scene for quite some time both good fighters both have distinctly different approaches to the MMA game though what you've seen out of Johnny C spells right now is exactly the way he likes to fight it he needs a grinding gritty dirty fight and for him to be successful if he stands on the outside and decides to trade in the outside usually he gets himself in trouble but when he can utilize his wrestling and control position he does very well [Applause] this is exactly what the colonel [Applause] what you're gonna see John sees bowties Johnny likes to utilize that length and he likes to move his feet set a guide out and utilize that big face itself [Applause] [Applause] good position good hip position by John material utilizing defense to help him with it as a balance point Johnny Cisneros getting himself back to his feet but this is the fight the creator wants he wants it on the outside this year material always does well it's what guys can get him a good seat and slow out grab whether he starts that long you can stay on the outside that's where he's gonna be successful at this is now it's the story of who can't control the range of this fire they clinch Johnny Cisneros very proud to represent SoCal [Applause] and again right here this is what I'm talking about I never know why are you holding on to that position when you know it's no good don't accept I'm here but closing your guard and now having him on top of you if you don't want to be there start to move start to create an opening to get back to your feet many years ago he walked into Joker's MMA at 280 pounds ran into marquinhos and James Welch and the rest is history here he is 170 3.8 age 39 teammate of Lorentz lerton that millenia MMA [Applause] they unified if I wanted to be understand that position they could get up well he has a Brazilian more tight black belt that's under the Professor Xavier Cordero a Brazilian my black belt uh-huh they told me someone gave me some nice information then popular girl is a great coach yes yes I don't think he gives out black belt I'm reason why I like this position is offense cross this person making her carrier use his like his arms little bit more take some pop off the punches [Music] both kinds kind of feeling good about that round Johnny Cisneros was able of control up against the cage the Carrillo was able to have that time where it had seized space did some damage I said mukuro takes that rhymes about Foshan though yep round two [Music] through the body by Johnny heavy one of the late and Oh [Music] to close the gap top of the take down my sister nails but a good wizard gets mercurial back to his feet Johnny Cisneros utilizing that ahead as a third arm trying to get a head position making long both guys working very hard here [Music] [Applause] [Music] this is like I said this that grindy quiet you see that nice you see wizard across town the girl ends up inside control see what he could do from this position err if I was mercury I would actually just make space get back to my feet take you back to them well that's play to your strengths you know that's my party I honestly believed a long Johnny Cisneros has the better ground game but the curio knows what he's doing down here it see that step over it should slide that knee don't step it over now you went to half guard then you inside control you just lost position so for me I would have set for Macario just stay in the side control position instead as soon as he starts to make a play to get to half car in a full guard I wouldn't have back down back to your feet there sweeps here there's different types of submissions in this position sort of opened up their submission game for awesome [Music] two minutes into round two Mercurio on top the lies in the Turk his last five wins have come by the first round finish four knockouts one submission and Sears two days eight days since his last fight and they're scrambling all over right now John Cleo was looking for her head honcho arm triangle choke but he's not in position they'll get that based upon where the fence is that you can't you can't create that space to make it happen by stepping over and Johnny Cisneros uses the defense with his feet he can keep his feet on the fence he can have those up there he can utilize defense to push off you just can't control by grabbing with his toes lot of the tattoos have a meaning Aztecs warrior descent Mexican culture intense hardcore to say the least Johnny Cisneros I've always felt that you can actually use your charms just what used to be that way [Applause] [Music] let us assume and speed on display from 32 year-old Johnny material clearly needs to use his footwork to keep his back away from the fence get himself morning the center of the cage and use that space to make Johnny Cisneros have problems getting tortured laughs aw Johnny material inside the Bellator cage in Inglewood back in January 2017 made his debut right here in 2014 [Music] [Applause] material this narrows fighting through effect what happens sometimes these guys they get they thought they got the takedown they don't keep their hands locked you should have pulling away from the fence and secure the takedown you'd let go too soon that's why Rio exactly speak right back to his feet that's because Cisneros we dig it when he pulls him out or I could start to punch and he starts to think about punching you can't do two things at one time it just doesn't work so I hear that position then go to your strikes - gonna walk he's doing a lot of good things - snows this but he just those little tiny mistakes has caused him to be right back to where he is [Music] nice elbow I hate to see guys work that hard for a takedown get it and not secure it's because you know the effort that it takes to get there so much more here's the neitherlands bit didn't land with that much power but it was a good body shot by Johnny Cisneros coming in there's the body shot but here comes the knee it lands it just doesn't follow through with the power that RB needs to have to do that damage Johnny Cisneros getting to his knees and when you look at someone you don't wrestle from your knees you're not Jordan burrows see as you saw right there he will scoop the legs out let go of the locks don't you exactly right set for the third and final round Red Bulls for Chinese Cisneros flew rugs for Chandler John material all the way against the cage quick punches and apply pressure H will foot stop go back to Marco who is baby oh oh you Street double underhooks thirty seconds into this third and final round [Music] The Economist take the most people to have their hand bucket over under our body line Nina get some against the fence he goes off the fence is certainly their knee tapper [ __ ] we'll get you out of the gun use of the clock lynched by material with some good knees to the body of Cisneros I do not know why job materials back in the shop doors the cage making a huge tactical mistake thanks to the guy that wants to happen their circle get your shopping center and now that's why you're off the ground Cisneros almost lost negating that but with someone back some subject for the kids like you were saying that just show who you're a tire fire yep exactly right you look in the game space game time you're telling yourself inside your head you're going I'm just gonna back up I'll feel that shot don't throw it you try to make as much space together the kid stops here you can't leave good yeah you can see the fatigue is shutting in and you were saying this from the very beginning this is Cisneros game he needs to fight this way the fight needs to happen this way otherwise he doesn't he wouldn't win exactly this is Johnny's [Applause] you got the tape down against the fence right well he's back he's against cuz we've reached yelled that back first at home and grab that far side us wrist she then though that's open up the hole shots he put his head to the fence so who cares Dupree she got three shots in the head right now you can see him trying to lace that right on and just let go of it he's lacing it's controlling the right on the Johnny material and John one of these specialties of Cisneros that you pointed out is knowing how to drag his opponent into deep waters which is exactly what it's doing right here right now anyway that's part of this part of there's all kinds of ways to beat someone sometimes you be the most spectacular motion as far as planned techniques big power sometimes you beat people by out gritting them taking them down making a work hard making them go to a pace that is uncomfortable to the point where they can no longer sustain what they want to do offensively and you're not controlling the fire and it can be pressure applied by the tattooed terror it's a perfect saying his pressure gets his hands class where he goes after the punches a good I would like to see him to the same thing Josh talking about get that position control the position put him where you can now hold his hips down control his head then start opening up with the punches he did a good job cos with Kara was getting ready up back up to ask a nice at him back to his but that was to his hip his body and he looks at type of his hips be careful boys that is a good shot that would hurt him in another and it's only look at the punches that come from up underneath the arm you can't see them come and what you don't see usually hurts you not only that but in that position there with love wit just come up underneath your jaws usually open especially now that you're gasping for air because you're tired after three rounds of fighting it was Mercurio who said its opponent tires I will still be at full capacity which is exactly the opposite of what we're seeing here in the final minute of the fight I can't talk about anyone's party I get tired walking to the frigerator [Applause] [Music] years old and taking it to its opponent here in the third and final round it's out using that him it's that third straight new mouth making them long and just grinding in into a victory was the third round up and win the fight how did he win the first in the second I believe that Johnny Walker said I'm so dizzy Johnny judges have rendered their decision Michael C Williams to tell us which John has won this fight ladies don't have to call the distance we'll go to your judges scorecards your first judge of Capeside Michael Bell scores the fight 28 28 he sees the fight even his scorecard however overruled by judges Jackie Dinkin and David rathgaber both scoring at the same 29 to 28 I'll have it for the winner by majority decision Johnny [Applause] which decision win for Johnny material and our tale of the tape for our next fight this one in the Bantam weight division Roman and Ricky 3 and 1 1 and oh just 22 years old another millenia mm a product and thus a teammate of lorenz larkin and Johnny Cisneros who we just saw a moment ago and an American Taekwondo black belt is the iron monkey out of Dan Henderson's athletic fitness center Team Quest temecula he's an outstanding wrestler he's a grinding fighter Kouga is the guy that has the board develop game and is a very established striker Michael C Williams tonight here at the Top Gun Resort Casino inside the Bellator cage we now go through five minute rounds in the bantamweight division introducing first the blue corner at five foot eight weighing in 135 point 6 pounds his professional record one and OH fighting out of La Puente California presenting room across the cage is that facility out of the red corner at by foot six weigh-in one hundred thirty five point four pounds as a professional three victories one defeat by way of Angola Indiana he fights now out of Temecula California in charge of the action your referee Jason Mirza Jason Herzog our referee Roman Lou Brock and Ricky Farrar fight scheduled for three five-minute rounds [Music] here we go tonight's fight clock brought you by Miller Lite great taste and only 96 calories sure are representing Dan Henderson's team cuesta Bakula in the red gloves iron monkey the 22 year old Roman who whop nice little jump and be there to start to fight off I think you can see with Ronald Bucca he has got a very good stand-up game good hands good footwork good balance so you're gonna see Ricky trying to take this fight to the ground that is the place that he took for this fight both guys John young in their professional careers but they have very extensive amateur career seven and two for budva 15 and three for a wiki Farrar and all three boxes came by decision you can see the experience on both these guys very nice Bobby Watson you say here the fence to kind of walk the leg up over the head very nice job and he's got a good attempt at this if he can continue to extend his hips he has a chance of making that work it's a matter of can he do that but off balancing Ricky he will have the ability to possibly straighten that arm out darn easy keep him stuck he needs to keep him stopped Sheba's weight down arms so he can't extend his legs out and they do taking his knees putting it towards room Robbie's face and head and neck that's a smart move to create pressure down on him smiling Sam Albie his head coach good job trying to get his head back in close guard now nice job of creating that angle by Road and going after that arm on the other side now he's got the leg and twined with it so he has the ability to even create a reversal out of this if he doesn't get the arm lock he's going from armbar to triangle back and forth back and forth right back door and we're again with the potential for our point Azhar out if he does that he could potentially go to the sweep from there or the armbar or triangle me what his way pointer of round number one what you seeing is a guy obvious back controlling the fight creating all of the possibilities of fight ending sequences by controlling that arm getting position doesn't work when it comes right back with another submission attack what Ferraris are quit doing though is easy to make sure his hips always stay directly in front of booga-booga yeah in front of his hips yeah instead he keeps shuffling his hips to the side it's opening up the armbar form which is allowing proving to swim towards that armbar again just did it again sets it up when you include his amateur career right there that's an Esperanto down his back he has a billion combined Club and amatuer seven of eight career wins happen finishes six five submission lost out left rope still the position to do damage this one Ricky is very good continues to fight for position does not ever stop it doesn't like the position he is he does not get in and just accept [Applause] his back and close and grounded pal who ever said his greatest strengths is his resilience and ability to adapt to his opponents who has been hold it he's been carrying our Farrar's weight this whole time don't get on the bottom the whole time so let's see how that starts to play out the second around and I specially later in the fight this is not a place you want to spend a ton of time and a fun is on your back doesn't matter how [Applause] we're gonna lock it down the elaborately the gravit back honest little bit of sweat a little bit of slipperiness just just powered his way out of it maybe a little bit of that fatigue the chashu isn't leading to you it's hard to be on the bottom especially if so lose a good wrestler so knows how to take control from that position or top position and use their hips and their weight on you and create that pressure on - I am impressed with what walden is doing all he continually becomes our picks involved in his back and creates possible fight ending sequences very impressed with what I saw though and here's a round when you look Roman Phuket took a couple of shots but overall from a bottle he won that round tonight for the 22-year old iron monkey in the blue gloves up one love on Big John score partly though iron monkey is down clucky in a battle coming out aggressively 22 years old he said keep an eye out for me I will be a world champion one day this is what I saw the eyes and I said golden we got a guy here this kids good he has got good hands his guy Ashley has good kick he's just got a settled into this fight keep himself in that nice circle in the middle of the Bellator cage he's gonna create a much harder circumstance get Ricky to get that tech guy he's doing great jobs keeping pressure on him always staying kind of in the pocket make sure the Ferrar can't really adjust he's gonna feel like he's always under pressure that's gonna make him even more tired faster now when you got a guy that keeps walking you down if you're going backwards it is exhausting when you can't get that space Roman jumping trying to get that triangle that is not what I would consider a spot move at this point of the fight - which is better for exams on the same here the finals where and more flattened Raffaella mm a deer Kimbo Slice bobbleheads much more at Bellator shots dr. 90 seconds into round number two [Applause] flying triangles are something you do when you're 22 years old yes that's great point because you look good it's not what we call a high percentage moon it looks great and it could possibly do you don't happen but not usually against the guy that's got a crab you know what though I say is that when when young town is willing to do that in a fight you know the top of the gym having fun and that you're seeing how good he is on the ground is because he's goofed around probably trying to hit that on countless people in the gym just having fun to me that shows the progression of a fighter who he loves doing what he's doing he's willing to try and run a real fight just loves being in there yeah he loved me in the gym he loves he loves being a workhorse than a gym rat probably though and its lone professional win by the way a team by trying to take I mean when you're when you're talking about roaming in that fashion Josh we're talking about together like JJ McKee not be fun doing different things showcasing his athleticism he can do the normal things but he can also be so dynamic and so fun to watch who shows that armbar except again he's got those legs up very true but they're very different it's not and I know you're trying to make that relation yeah I'm just having fun and willing to go for some crazy highlight reel knockout and finish tight news well let's talk about Joey Davis tonight those sad exacting throwing spinning back-kick yes one of the greatest wrestlers ever you know like college and he's here throwing spinning back-kick sidekicks things like that that lets you know that he's in the gym just really caution to the wind trying new things and that has to do with him being cuffed her with the guys he changed after him she's enjoying what he's doing and the pin his coaches and just play with us today on the pads we may never use it let's play with it but maybe we will yep same jammers they Brown it down now for Ricky Farrar and one of those shots opened up a small cut on googas forehead you can see he's got a little bit of blood there across the fight but all this motion all of this being underneath like Josh's and it's starting you're starting to see a little bit of the slowed down a little bit of less movement a little bit of now that's why Ricky is able to open up and this is what a grinding final dudes so what I don't like even though who guys doing it and he's had success doing it but against a seasoned fighter other than worse it keeps reaching inside the leg yeah reason why I don't like that is because a seasoned fighter will sit on your head trapped out you'll never get that hand back and there's no way you can extend your hips up because your arms stuck to the mat so I don't that's that's a very learning jujitsu you know young thing to do you have to be able to do it at a fast pace no hands right away whether it's all of our triangle newcomer time I mean he's do he's attacking fast see these attacks on the third fast but um that's one little thing we he's gonna have to probably that this Punk here shortly so all those things are relevant in that conversation is Sammy was talking about a guy we feel like this [Applause] why they're stopping that fight say there was a cut yeah it is not a cut that's gonna stop that fight he was looking at his jaw and it might be that he has a broken jaw beside there's actually a outside he's bleeding as far as inside his mouth though he says the cut is in the eye yeah [Music] because Poovey just walked away and said hey the cut is in my many times when you're looking at cuts around the eyes when a doctor will look and you'll say that if you have a cut that's torture your tear duct they're gonna stop the fight because if they can't sew that up and they can't do it right you will lose the function of tear duct and that is it's up in that fortunately I chose the inner partner design we stopped the fight every time because they're worried about doing damage it will affect your eye for the rest of your life it's a great job done by the doctor Jason Herzog may have spotted it as well to bring in the doctor so well done more important to fight another day [Music] Michael C Williams will make it official the flight waved off adapter stoppage due to a cut inside of the eye of the fighter in the blue corner official time five minutes round number two the winner by TKO Ricky Ricky - and own inside the Bellator cage denim sky the wins right here in his own backyard tale of the tape light weight Eugene Korea conquistador twenty-five-year-old against 28 year old body ready fights tender for three five-minute rounds Bellator debut for both been red gloves for SUNY M attempt and Eugene Korea is in the blue gloves [Music] twenty-five-year-old do jean-baptiste adored lights to fight and a high pace with an unorthodox style [Applause] this may not last very long good shot [Applause] you go professional debut you have got that right rocked hit the chosen shots didn't Russia very nicely done talk about that judge think about that being a guy's professional debut he hurt someone never went after him real fast took his time picked his shots just an outstanding job lads this big right hand that's what starts it all look at the uppercut snaps his head back still crunches but waits creates distance watch the uppercut land bow that just puts it down and out before that he was measuring in with this jab hand just kind of reaching out not touching him but letting him know what the range was and that's how he set up that little uppercut he hit him a couple times also earlier than that see we're not planning to touch him no he's just reaching and measuring pleasure in that hand to bring it through for knockout victories as an amateur and a quick knockout victory in his professional debut ladies dominant son the battle occasion comes to an end 44 seconds into round number one the winner by knockout now with professionals Sooni imhotep 44 second knockouts in his professional debut our tale of the tape for this our first fight of the Night Live on paramount there is a slight reach advantage for Joe Schilling there is and you're looking at that three and five record and that is what is gonna change based upon Joe chilling becoming a full-time MMA fighter alright let's get things officially underway with the voice Michael C Williams ladies and gentlemen good evening and welcome to Pechanga Resort Casino live on paramount Network Bellator MMA begins with middleweights inside the cage said for three five-minute rounds and now first introducing the blue corner at 6-foot one weighing in 186 pounds even his professional record 15 14 and 1 he fights out of Murrieta California presenting key and across the pages adversary out of the red corner at six foot three weighing in 186 pounds even the world-class kickboxer enters the cage at three and five as the mixed martial artist he hails from Los Angeles California Prince Auntie Jo's in charge of the action Mike Pelton on white belt on our referee for our first fight tonight live on paramount Network chief Barry and Joe Schilling I tournament berth Brown good fight you ready fight let's go here we go [Applause] red gloves for stitch OMA Joe Schilling blue gloves for the ko kid Keith Barry [Music] this is what Joe Neely was talking about with the please mix boys learners now I'm good at fighting on the ground I want to have a ground attack I want the fight to go there and I want to show what I can do that's what he's doing right now no doubt that he talked to us about his full-time commitment to MMA said there is no more kickboxing in my future that said his fighting will probably always be 90% better than most everybody he fights oh no doubt about it doesn't work that way as far as the training so you've got to give something to gain something else and that's what Joe Schilling has been working on he's been working on this type of action right here [Applause] [Music] Anja very nice side control position like Keith Barry Keith Barry has got it very good top game he's very heavy on top and he does a lot of damage so we'll see how much Joe Schilling can negate him from this position right now Josh you talked to Joe earlier he said I welcome this I'm prepared for this I've trained for this he's already good exactly supposed to be doing he's praying in his elbows on the inside trying to get his under looks he's basically trying to get back to a full ball or half guard position so he can start to escape and get up like that he's throwing a little chopping elbows to see it may keep very move I gave her an opportunity to try to get it under him what he needs to do is not hang out in this position earring there he goes right to his knees but beautiful job by Joe who actually built it right there that was a position in the past Joe Chile did not get out of now he just worked his way out of that with good technique doing things like that stop the framing the movement all of that is what you're looking for so that front kick that's what you stance obviously very highly decorated what you have to remember is this Joe talked about he's been trained he's ready for the ground he ran into the ground the issue is those it takes years to get that type of muscle memory or they've got muscle endurance to be able to last on the ground that long so you can see Joe slowed down a little bit after he got up from the bottom there's a lot of there's a lot of ground and pound position in that top position when he was in guard and then also when he was on bottom there's a lot of energy used to get up so those are those are the type of things we have to watch for it takes months and years for someone to develop that type of muscle endurance take for the grappling switch then utilize by showing inside blade tip he closed everything their intention he throws everything hard that has always been who chose Schilling is that's why you can't stop crazy when he fights sometimes we look at me go that's crazy you don't throw that on all the time but he does it and he gets away with it and he makes it work he's in 2013 sorry Josh worried world middleweight tournament champion Muay Thai world champion would say national champion he's got lunch style and that's to leave his opponent need to stitch is stitch muffin you can tell there's still a little bit of a hesitation on his honor striking though he's kind of waiting for Keith there to to shoot the double leg or just snapshot on a single leg or something along those lines you're watching it he kind of drops his head a little bit in his hands and they get close to each other is the thing he was starting to drop the hands a little bit to shake out that lactic acid after tribal work lot on the ground to get himself back up just get that little bit out hit loose and start throwing big shots that's what he does now in Keith Barry he is facing a man who also loves the stand-up game very top terrible John you talk about the power yes in his right hand he's got a bit I did a fine of Keith barriers against Cortese man I'm telling you what it was a brawl Keith Barry has no quit in him at all and you could tell look at the very beginning this fight he took some big shots and he just came back and is gonna work at doing his thing that's what that's Keith the veteran that he is Ted Coleman back at Bellator 96 John Hill 2013 I'd like to see Joe get a little bit more than that into the conservative this man look in those knees defensive all that the smoky flavor big takes out Keith Barry here's the shot at beginning there's that beautiful kick and then there's that left hand that landed to put that nice welt and hematoma on the side of Keith Barry good shots coming in tries to do some ground-and-pound and you'll see that watch the elbow come across here this is Joe Schilling trying to work his ground game the big thing he's got to do is I can take his time really take your point and then go for Roger Jones Schilling red gloves warning Dean Ohio fighting out of Los Angeles Lake Tahoe native chief Barry a member of Dan Henderson's athletic fitness center Team Quest also works with Xtreme Couture boxing coach Jamie Huey in Las Vegas you see that little tiny kick you saw the two kicks by Joe Schilling and when you see him kicking you see these legs coming together Joe's gonna pick that up and he's gonna then set that up to do the exact same kick and he likes to land Joe keeps kind of lunging in with that straight left he's going right hook straight left promise keep Barry keeps ducking under I'd like to see him maybe fake the left to throw that knee up run up the man off the forearms ducking down very definitely happy to engage and trade with Joe showing Claude really impressed a lot of guys when they fight Joe they're diving for takedowns because it's I want to get this guy to the ground he's not doing that look he's he's in the stand-up game he told us he was going to do that and I was gonna like are you sure this is what this is the kind of fight who needs to fight them to get to keep just showing on his toes and knees to make sure he's mix it up get it in the room understand the fight keep coaxing the men be like he thought you later all of a sudden boom takedown nice to do some walk from the top position trades with smilin Sam Alvey Tom Colicchio Shawn Strickland and you spent a lot of time training Lou Hendo Dan Henderson before him door retired but check handle on social media he stir always beaten up his students poker that team question Becky though I like that little trick he just did he was covering Joe's mouth you can tell the jokes breathing a little heavy now he's put him on the bottom Jojen to spend a little bit more energy trying to get up because it's he'll take a couple more fights for Joe to get real comfortable on the ground but doing a good job of making sure he's not taking any damage but it needs to get up yeah it's exactly what you're talking about in that close guard position now holding on Joe is basically wanting the referee to get him up out of this position and as long as Keith Barry is working and trying to do damage to him reveries gonna let him go and so Joe's gonna sit there and go by this is not what you should be doing you need to open that guard start to figure out do I'm gonna frame inside there you go food on it get yourself back up [Applause] tea fairy cause this the biggest fight of his life very visible fight lane card says this is a beatable opponent who's not gonna submit leaves Barry said Island tremendous shape I have not cheated one meal I'm very well prepared in Josh not surprisingly he feels as biggest advantages he is a full-time MMA fight yeah it wasn't just that but he also fills in he can actually mix the final phase he's going you see this in the second row you told all right I'm gonna keep it steady we both go do you like that's a good idea but the end result though is that he's gonna mix it up and look what he's doing now a couple one take down this round - mm that's keeping Joe on his toes making sure that his hands stay honest to his his chin you see you're seeing Keys starting to switch stances back to that left lead leg is starting to really get damaged by the low kick that Joe Schilling keeps throwing nice job of avoiding it therefore Joey's been very accurate with it and it's starting to get to Keith and that's why you're seeing him switch to that southpaw stance deep Barry a professional since 2005 made his pro debut at age 82 35 seconds of round to Mike Goldberg Big John McCarthy Josh Thompson Oh beautiful nice little light uppercut straight out the backpack down [Applause] you'll see ejo more tied trash [Music] they thought that was good this rounds about two minutes inaudible [Music] watch this lead here's the knee that came up and hit him that was right after the lead uppercut that did damage to Keith Barry look at this lead uppercut Bo Ryan on the chin doesn't have a ton of power just because of the way it was thrown so landed cleanly and that is a beautiful shot additionally I will tell you right now Keith Barry was winning that second round until he got damaged towards the end of it and he didn't do damage to Joe chilly when he was on the ground that's why I give that round 10 9 - Joe Schilling I'm not gonna ask you the first fight of the night drops if you agree I'll let you guys fight a little later in the night I don't want to get you guys angry to each other too early Keith Barry's doing a lot better than I thought he would be able to on the feet but I thought honestly it's because he's mixing it up now see how he's pressing to the clinch here this is keep you Joe beautiful outs on a trip and this is a fight that he buried through social media we wanted this fight with Joe showing any got it this is the best opportunity of this fight for Barry to do damage just see huge opportunity this is what in this position you have so much offense that you can bring and so little to be done against you and it doesn't matter that you lost the first two rounds all you've got to do is get that fight ending submission or that TKO stoppage right now if you're the winner and Barry is a brown belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu just two career wins by submission 11 by knockout let's give me a lot harder for him to secure the submission of our vote extremely sweaty Joe holding on not really giving him a whole lot of space to do work worthy of note that three of the five professional losses for Joe Schilling have come by submission Joe needs to think about working his way systematically through this law he himself trying to get his way you can cool when the person until chilly as it mmm you asked him I was working his wrestling with Jafari was we could see it right there it's the one thing that you talked about is again I used to go into gyms and Garza time then not get beat by the kickboxer so they were taking me down and doing things had not teaching me and with defer he was able to learn he's able to break down the technique understand it and then utilize it in this fight I had a chance to talk to jealousy before this fight he deciding to high fell in love with the ground and pound and the Sienna right now he's it I think the nerves has settled in he's feels comfortable to the top position he's able to hit the choppy novels he's cut him up a couple of times already with just little short chopping I was this is he feels you can show and you can see that it he feels really comfortable in this position that right elbow definitely opened up [Applause] and this is when you're in this browning pound is a technique unto itself yep it is not you going there on top something to stop all the shots another wiki it's a matter of picking your shots opening up an area pressing and then letting it going with power that's what good ground pot is that's what you start to see from social it's all technique what he's doing right now so not only is he generated enough power but he's doing it from such a small position to you or like maybe two to three inches and he's generating enough power to cut him up and cut off heat bury this much when we talked about look at space equals escape being tight being gross equals control and what Joe is doing is being tight but giving enough space side the full guard of tea fairy and and in this position right now same thing with [Applause] cannot stay here you're going to get beat up like JC like he's doing to him right now you cannot submit him without clothes back should I put feet on him stop open the door start going through something how this benefits Joe Sharon is that he never has to make enough space for Keith ready to get up and he can just hit the chocolate little rug was and obviously he's doing a very good job of that he also made a point about training and Albuquerque with Donald Cerrone in the on all that acreage out on that farm he said finishing my training at high altitude has put my cardio at an extremely high level and he looked sensational here in the third round yeah he's lookin good as far as he's control wants to be here and you see him taking his time thinking about what he's gonna do Josh more impressive than this ground-and-pound all is the reversal of position that put Joe came to this top spot yeah anytime you're doing so who's longer like to have the explosion as their legs and generate that much power he was able to get too full of the retail put the good in position very could have Britain backbone of that and just didn't have some leverage to do it and you saw it there he's chosen girl talk about the one in this complete MMA performance tonight by Joseph they go the distance wicked elbows this is Joe Shelley dude were gone we've gotta get him up and over gets into the position now he's in guard and there's the elbows that he starts showing from throwing from short distance those elbows nice heavy slicing elbows that's what opens up Keith Barry a very well-executed ground-and-pound attack from Joe showing always the kickboxer in the wrestling room what a performance tonight by Jose Schilling our official decision is coming up next ladies and gentlemen having gone at the distance Laconia three judges in Capeside all three judges David and rathgaber Michael Bell Ron McCarthy all see it the same 32:26 for the winner by unanimous decision Joe 40:26 on all three cards and here's Big John I am here with your winner Josh shilling that was an outstanding performance of MMA from a guy that's known as a world-class kickboxer that is transition to saying I am going to be a mixed martial artist you fought in the standup you fought in the wrestling and you fought off of the ground let's talk about that win there brother oh yeah you know I humbly threw my my ego aside and started working real hard at this and trying to develop as quickly as I can you know I feel like that was a really good performance against the seasoned vet I had some really stupid mistakes I thought the 10-second thing was the bell not just once but first and second round it's kind of stupid and you know but yeah I was the greatest performance he's a hell of a fighter tested me in a lot of ways and I think my growing up in this fight he took you down multiple times in that fight that you got yourself back to your feet we're doing in the past a huge difference in what we're seeing in your progression as a mixed martial artist that means a lot coming from you John we had talked about in the back or in the commentating meeting the other day and you asked if I was gonna have the same striking that I have in that aggressive style and all of those takedowns like he got on me was when I was my old way going forward throwing care to the wind and God made those mistakes when I when I started to calm down and actually pick one shot to control my balance he's a lot better you know that's uh it's two wins in a row I'm gonna keep growing every time I hope you guys enjoy the fight and you can expect a lot more out of me I want to talk about that third round you were mounted at the beginning of that round and you were holding on and then you reversed the position and every judge that was watching your fight gave you a 10-8 round in that third round based upon the damage that you did to Keith in that round let's talk about your ground to pound how's it feeling I mean my I got the name stitched him up from my elbows and Muay Thai then when I you know it was a world champion kickboxer the international kickboxing circuit with glory and there was no elbow everyone kind of forgot about that and I hadn't snitched anybody up in a while but that's two back-to-back he's gonna get a lot Pearson that was there ladies and gentlemen the winner Joe welter weight fight 21 and 3 former champion Andre Koren scoff seven years younger than Mike Jasper seven years younger 21 and three is an outstanding record with those three losses coming against Ben Askren Doug Lima 13 and for Mike Jasper has a lot of experience he's a good fighter that should be a great fight Michael C Williams live on paramount Network peloton and the may now moves to the welterweight division set for three five-minute rounds we'll introduce first the blue corner at 6 foot weighing in 171 pounds even making his Bellator debut he enters with 13 professional victories four defeats fighting out of Camarillo California [Applause] and across the cage is after sailing out of the red corner at six foot one weighing in 170 point six pounds the former Bellator welterweight world champion stands tonight with 21 professional victories three defeats fighting out of ohm's Russia presenting Andres Spartan Flores God in charge of the action your referee Frank Trigg Frank Trigg our referee for this welterweight fight live on paramount Network Andre cord scoffs tied for third all-time with seven knockouts inside the Bellator cage Mike Jasper has never been knocked out this is 18th professional fight bred gloves for the former champion Mike Jasper in the blue gloves making his Bellator debut he'll be very interesting to see how Mike Jasper does with the length of Andre course cough because he's not only taught got an incredibly fast spinning attack in both his kicks and his spinning backfist and Josh my Jasper talked to us about that how quick those techniques come hesitation is causing open up those leg kicks Ridge Lake or scoff was to face lorenz larkin in the main event on great when we asked him about he said hey I just I have to do my thing I got a knock everybody down I got a stay right in line and when the tournament's over I'll be standing there going all right I'm up let's fight for the time when you think about it he'll be there the first guy waiting absolutely he has now landed two successful spinning back kicks to the body you can see that bike Jasper is looking at him like I am NOT up and seeing that attack coming figure so does things a little bit different and most of the time there is a tell when a guy is gonna do a spinning attack because his foot starts to cross that center line and his hips start to turn course cuff does not do that he comes straight forward with his steps so you think that he's actually gonna possibly go with the punch and he spins on an axis of the ball of his foot it is so fast and it's so powerful it's a beautiful beautiful exhibition of those techniques those low kicks - undamaged as well that time Jasper was able to and you saw that one coming he came out and moved his feet to get him out of that line the centerline of that kick and that's why he did not Saxons boys I boss bruton's of each MMA the home of my Jasper opened his professional career seven and oh and what you're seeing right now you see Jasper devotee where these techniques but everything is missing everything he just a little bit out of range he's got to start to move his feet forward and set that up just a little bit quicker so you can get that range close and Latin those strikes hashtag Bellator two one nine Josh join the conversation we're toddlers $10 and he's just was always missing right outside that's the sign of a true venture so who really understands the game course cop is always right outside of your reins so Jasper's never able to land clean combination when you make a mess but just a little bit you can fire back that much more rapidly and dangerous and you're and you're seeing that on hook stop just missed [Applause] back to his feet with it that you're starting to see chorus cop is getting more and more confident with those strikes and he's looking for those counters Peter Welch slit and ripped former Bellator welterweight world champion and you know you start to think of it Johnny and you set it free career losses - to Douglas sleeper and one - Ben Askren they lost a bet asked where young in his career that back when he did that because he lost [Applause] is incredible when you ranch the guys that he has gone through and and he he makes it look easy he's so calm he's so technically good at what he does his wrestling is outstanding his kickboxing game I'm telling you the way he does it with the lengths that he does it with is just incredible to watch in my opinion and of course hoarse cough has a win over Neela [Applause] this job by jasmine not to be taken with that outside truth about me frame box the penis is just hit against the table that is so good he's got to figure out his rhythm in his way of getting into touch Coruscant impressive here lately round watch the attack look at that spin foot did not switch it all bone beautiful straight shot to the body straight with the foot that's what makes it hard to watch as far as the fighter you ready for that tight it's not there with chorus cop on the spinning attacks one course cop did go very well he went the first wind addition to the body in the second one to the head he didn't order the body to mixing it up but he's always set all of this up though also with his level a kiss red gloves for Spartan Andre course cough white Jasper making his Bellator debut here on the main card legs body shot in the blue gloves his last fight like 342 days ago suffered a gruesome torn a hamstring in fact he's toward the hands in a fight previous to that and was out 357 days but he looks pretty good here tonight he looks really good you think about that he'd lost 357 days to heal that up and he's still on that fight Mike that tells you a lot about my judgment and he showed us some pictures and anything not pretty one minute in it's around to Josh if you are in the corner Jasper what would you up talking when we were in commercial break are we telling secrets you create a couple of angles in your combinations sombre cut the angles set up your combinations if maybe retina take down there in there by saying you should try forcing first I'm just trying to establish that jab and what he is doing it Jasper needs to tie to that jab that was a nice leak Jasper said my heart is my big thing and he's showing it here taking the destroy kicks together Joshua nice combination we talked about of the first touching first [ __ ] now but he's got the landing cleanly yet so until he starts laying the cleaning but this is what the differences might bigjohn between [Applause] he's exactly what Josh talked about is he's landing the shot but attack his end of that punch and it's not getting that snappy that just that little two inch difference that makes it to where it starts to drive through you instead of just touching at the end and what potential you can put content you can happen is Jasper oh and touch him now first off take advantage of that horse [ __ ] always has that right hand ready loose there it is straight flight so dangerous but you can see that Mike Jasper is starting to get the feel of the distance as far as his lean Eddie's movie so pleasure to course top if every pass of this time he step it in he's looking good he's starting to see things that's gonna be a tell is what is Andre do to change that up and start to damage him as he gets to do that distance well nine of his 13 career wins have come by knockout in she came out of that changing of levels he started right at the beginning of the round with it little body head and it's worked a couple of times yeah he's doing a great job just right outside arrangement just keep going to doing that I think he's doing well that's one of those old mystic and that one Johnny didn't tension-filled and punch either you know this is the one thing I can tell you about my Jasper than I've been in the cage he did multiple times he got hurt by that look out fast he recovers he's always been he'll get hurt but in a second 1/2 T seconds he's back fighting and fighting hard again he has never been knocked out tonight his 18th professional fight this is where I think the fight becomes real a lot a lot easier for Coruscant he would have done this earlier on the fight that those spinning kicks would add a little bit more of a chance to land in the second round push off in the top position his top game is very heavy and it's the one one thing your watch he throws with a huge amount of power he really rares back and he creates his space and lands big big shots in his ground about all he needs to do is just start pressing facing him away sent him away a little bit so he could start landing and make him make enough space for the big shots he's reaching around that back side right now to try to grab that right round two tonight Jasper here's the big right hand and hit watch the step boom boom right there that's what hurt my Jasper that changed the round right here the left hand doesn't hit solid but the right one does and you see it change his position that hurt Mike I saw it might come back right away you saw Jasper's kind of circling out that way and he hit him and brought him back into that right hand with that little left hook left hook wasn't too hard but the right hand was clean and final round scorecard Big John scorecard right now no doubt in my mind ten nine on both rounds both going to coruscant so Jasper needs to finish there in the final four minutes and 37 seconds Mike Jasper was doing really well in that round that was a better around that second round was much better than the first round for him but he was the guy that got damaged in that round he took the bigger shots and that's why Cora scoff kitchen three fight win streak two finishes two fights ago was winning for that hamstring and still was able to finish the plate with three seconds on the clock in the third and final round off the floor nice touch blocked by Mike Jasper there you see him bringing that arm not only underhand older to take the power off of that kick from Gore's go still to come maybe bet our co-main event reports the emotional return of Daniel Straus propylene Shing touchin betadine inside Awad and brandy boots leather live on paramount Network private Pechanga Resort Casino it's in right there what you saw in that graphic position you saw Jasper bringing him into the cage and starting to utilize his head for positioning but he allowed chorus got to bring his head off the other side he ends up having his head low core cow's head high with the underhook and that's why he gets the position yeah I was actually working through the thought that soon as he got to the body line he drove me to the fence gave Korsakoff the time to reset where he sugared then I was trying to hit the trip from there at least try to break the balance and then maybe get him to the fence from that position trying to pull him away and then take him down he let Porsche cough get affected to establish his base and defend the body ball first club has his hands locked nice s grip but he doesn't seem to be able to get his hips in [Applause] chance for half that white bass but it didn't matter once he had it doesn't matter how wide your bass is if that fighter gets his hands together you get your hands class cable grip s grip whatever's going to be now I have the ability so long as I get my hips in use I can get you up and bring you down just past the midway point of the third and final round of this welterweight fight Bellator debut for 35 year old Mike Jasper taking on the former champion Andre cornstalk held the belt for 482 days defended his title jaspera able to get back on snap freed up buddy jump back down he's a nice job by Mike Josh but get to his feet that one scores got begin it has those hands locked he's got the ability once he gets his hips to you he's gonna end up bringing you down first cops started off as mainly a kickboxer but his wrestling has become very very solid and you look at you know from Russia Josh will tell you what are the Russian wrestlers like their technique is just incredible and he has learned that technique and he applies it in this cage all the time where I some of his MMA wrestling - with Kenny Johnson who I know you respect Josh but what I've said before though is every fighter the top fighter or Jason is a banana governor wonders he's got Douglas Lima yeah and what Lima breach the tables those nasty leg kicks you've had to work on his rest he had to get his wrestling down he had to be able to mix it up against someone like that it's because you had that nemesis that he's always making you better [Applause] [Music] [Applause] poor shops and losses on your best future said the most important lesson I took away from the lemur fight be confident believe in myself now you could tell in that fight thing he wasn't his confidence he shooter but he was confident getting the takedown [Applause] he is doing now and then M cost him because he gassed out in the fight and then losing the fight but like I said the two of them make each other better we've seen a better post cop because of that 304 the fifth is Brown who is wrestling born in stronger [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] Jasper's a gamer and state go to the distance look at the pressure the corniche cough applies once he gets his hands together hips come in picks them up just brings up bouncing off the fence brings him down to the ground he used a lot of different techniques to get Jasper to the ground but all of them went off of the point of him getting his hands class together once it's they're very hard to break very easy from the brain to the ground the official decision of this welterweight fight coming up next largest casino in professional he brings 24 victories eight defeats from Cincinnati Ohio he fights in charge of the action your referee Mike Pelton on light beltron our referee for this our co-main event of the evening Shayne crutched in the war Rhino Daniel Straus a little bit first round led by Cincinnati OH I don't need it here we go red crabs first routes new drugs for shame cruckston so a couple things I want to remind you guys is that's not just is he back but is he the same fighter now he's saying he's not full full percentage back but the thing is he was talking about how he's have a change and adapt to some of the things that his body couldn't do that he was doing before so how is his footwork how is his mobility I was in strength in certain areas those are things that these were all questions may be answered that's why I'm trying to lay this out now for everyone watching at home you guys need to understand he maybe not be the same fighter he was then but how is he made the adjustments to it I think you're absolutely right guys he's not gonna be the same fighter you can't expect that but one thing you do know with the start of that fight that's another 30 days sad Paul Strauss he's in the red bags of the mention flexion is in the blue gloves and the kickin and Daniel did discuss with us guys in fighter interviews that guys got to move a little differently as footwork is is not the same and it's I don't know if it's the invitations from the accident it's just different it's just different than it was before that's not gonna be that he cannot be affected he did though move to Las Vegas this is worthy of note back in October six months ago been working with Julie Cooper and training out of one kicks Jim one ticket he's the two-time world champion in 145 this fights in 155 that's something you have to make sure they can very clear he came back battling really fast but he's coming back in a higher weight class now I must say he's been a part of his career is that won't get the fighters used to doing with that but this is this is another thing very clear that 30 flags is real hunger Houston only attire in the half guard still but Daniel Straus has lived off of his wrestling and he moves off of a very strong grounded house and you saw what it was up against a big shot there very calm and then decided boom here comes my sweet blends and sweet blazes upon her down I have to give him credit I love the fact that he's not fishing anything right now he is taking his time to fight is not overextending in any fashion a great job letting the fight develop and for violence not trying to overextend he's using the wrestling as well he's time those are things in a mental barrier of just getting to like hey can I like hold up our double-a kind of lifts to turn the car can I do those things those are you're all going through his mind right now high school national wrestling champion Sycamore high school suburban Cincinnati Ohio under two minutes on fire one six weeks in Arizona for our shame system after his fight against Aaron Pico he was in the same life alone as Henry Corrales Betty child John crouch Jason Herzog was hanging out with him and said you know what come on Glendale in there [Applause] looking for the finish didn't do it [Music] oh geez it's not alone very careful he's in trouble another time [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] watch the left hand land right here boom land it straight on the jaw line of [ __ ] crunch it you can see how it really Falls [Applause] nothing catches it tell you it's the ground and here's your finish it is not what we would say is a rear naked choke that joke is across the jaw line that jaw is getting squeezed back into that skull and it will break when I like the left straight left is actually shuffled back a little bit his reactions are still there they'll just fight he having to learn how to ReWalk again it it was great slid back boom straight left dropped into some great ground in town made him turn his back got right to the to the jaw lock Daniel Straus returns the victory his 12 win inside the Bellator cage we will visit with him when we come back never such a well-deserved victory never so emotional Michaels see Williams than Big John will visit with our victim ladies and gentlemen inside the Bellator cage the tab by way of a rear naked choke officially three minutes 53 seconds into round number one the winner by submission [Music] [Applause] Cincinnati in the house Big John with Daniel Straus this is all Michaela that's Michaela I am here with the winner Daniel Straus Daniel that's just another goal off the list isn't it yes sir we've been working real hard for this for a while it means a lot to me means a lot to other people that's here we were so impressed because coming off of the injury and all the time it's natural to try to make something happen and you took your time you let the fight come to you you'd let it build until you saw that opening you took a step back beautiful straight left hand that gave you the opportunity to put him to the mat and let's talk about that jock rank yeah I just wanted to get him up out of there man so does pops boy I ain't trying to be in here that long so I caught him with a straight left he went down as try and get him out with some rounded panel he gave me his back and I just took what I could well I think a little bit of that strength has come back since that accident because there was a good squeeze and you made him tap what is it that you're looking for next in your career I'm just looking to build keep going and get back to that belt and hold that title and defend that title well I cannot wait for you to get back to your weight class 145 and see you go after that title and get it back for a third time I think everybody in here would love to see the same thing congratulations on an outstanding performance ladies and gentlemen your winner Daniel Straus little Michaela in tears daddy's in tears and that will be the best bottle washer men do awe of Daniel Strauss's life wow what a moment Julie Cooper in the game and Daniel Straus he should be emotional we're all here watching and witnessing an incredible story and it's that young lady who kept that going during all the hard times and he told us that his daughter Mikayla [Music] [Applause] [Music] tale of the tape for this our main event of the evening I will tell you one thing not everything is virtually identical but they got to get money and partner the ages virtually very very sharp you there Mike at 511 2 5 7 you're looking at 74 inch reach to 69 if a wad can keep him on the outside Gertz is gonna have a problem and Santa watch said my size and range will get in trouble with the official introductions once again this our main event of the evening the assassin syad a lot Brandon first fight scheduled for three five-minute rounds as well are you ready are you ready right here we go [Applause] [Music] kurz in the blue gloves he is a southpaw cyan Awad in the red gloves in his customary Orthodox stance there you see Brandon coming in like he likes to do closing distance but that's a lot of distance to cover and you saw both of those shots ended up short that was a big reason why I said that Gert seemed to create angles does you sauce add throw that little lump kick right up the middle he's easy get off line and get to the body lock from there of the snap single from their tenth career fight at 155 for Brandon [Applause] come back finish nice Java base it out by cursed the little bear we love to do you understood he said it took a long time to get back to her I was throwing my look the way I like the Troy yeah but not only that though Seidman a bad mistake I'm sitting against the fence trying to cover up he sure took a shoot drive [Applause] I prefer to use a good time hit space create some distance or time I'm alive step in and Josh he believes in his condition his cardio his recovery czar start pushing the pace [Applause] that's what you can when you have a brand in Gertz fight he goes to find cover distance he can have a shorter reach it doesn't matter he's going to go after is that Mike Tyson games now everything goes out the door I want to get that satellites out statistically he loves the matchup Kurt says we've always respected each other Syed likes to fight so why that is a recipe for fireworks so far that is a very [Applause] my right side of the face on the eyebrow of sight out of walk take that many shots that fast if your skin holds up the way if he's his ass [Applause] they both have sighted a satellite a little bit let's a fight develop in front of them they wish no I'm not wasted I said hey expect my energy though those first three minutes boots training in tantrum high altitude to both man [Applause] Oh sire stepped into that hook notice how I am heat swishes dinner that could have a clerks I used to get all the time just to cut I reset myself hesitates to jump over the kitchen right there where you just saw that footwork my sound the way he moves in stepped across new shots and made it so it was never gonna be a camera for Banagher dude don't get caught like that you stupid damage get up a bunch way look back in punch punch tick check and get out of range again and he does have the reach advantage shoot on a double-layer you to a body lock that's what I was saying they secured angles with this punches get off line so he can get some sort of like a body rocker heard about the single leg well that that up kick that is the way to say it that's his range finder it likes to toss that out there see your reaction and if your reactions is to take a step back the yuchun's gonna follow that up with a straight right the tiger reserve casino Mike Colter Big John McCarthy cherish Thompson our main event of the evening this is round number one sorry the hard in the red book in the bluegrass Benson Henderson have a lot of success with that kid [Applause] to keep Sam yessum what a start to this fight conditioning was the key to surviving that early onslaught from brine mcgirt's breathe I know there's girl and that running and it was that big right here over the top look this is a sound ball so that right here that's the shoulder the knee had gotten hurt before he had to get back but here's a lot coming back and the words coming back after him these guys are going for watch the mediate walk coming up this brings his guard up cannot sit there with just a garnish RAM gotta move your head a breath that's why that knee comes up and it blasted back welcome back go get it hey 23 wins 17 finishes force I had a wide 15 wins 11 finishes for Brandon birch round to his South paw and the blue gloves that screws a wad [Music] one of things you're seeing is when Brandon comes forward watch as he throws that left hand you seen a wat take his head and he's actually towards his right which is taking his eyes off of Landon Gertz his left right hand when he throws that big blue Peugeot ran right he's backing away with his hands down and Gertie's able to cover that distance was we didn't think he was going to be able to but I'd like to see him try to smash that leg and get the takedown of all the pace down little businessman the big shots we gotta see him mix it up open up more stand for don't forget download the bell jar of cortisone for bonus coverage the flight action continues live Pechanga casino resort play a wide stance I've liked the secrets kick that inside leg kind of throw him off base a little bit I sought a little bit with Benson Henderson he was doing loud as well the King said the interplay of factors he doesn't use up jørgen rely on his hands he gives one less thing for Santa worried about your writings one of the things that's a blueprint against saw is he does have a wise head so try to attack that lead leg which most right now you're not seeing Brandon doing any kicks to it [Applause] good shot my buddy that was a nice little tape two-thirds up often father's garden [Applause] this is exactly where I don't want to see ghosts just standing in front of him in raids ready to get hit this is not the fight that he wants two minutes into round number two 11th time we have been here at the Pechanga Resort Casino dating back to Bellator 92 March 7 2013 the pizza [Applause] it's the right every time skirts just sits there covers up and gets hit with the shot whether it's the niet familiar that little uppercut he just hit him with right now there's no reason to [Applause] [Applause] [Music] using the attacker I got it actually pushing the pace and I think it's starting to break down punch is able to do as far as he's got to deal with his pace in the crusher that takes energy to deal with when you ever remembers he's having a luncheon and cover that distance imagine not expending a lot of energy energy goods always those explosive power so it's straight laughs overhand right feet kicks that expense a ton of energy and you're seeing that right now is have a little bit of effect on him as this fights going on 34 professional fight before the assassin silent oh god worthy of note he only has recorded two finishes after the foot slide also worthy of note is the Jim change to the training lab in the man Sam calivita to the 15 years there's that kick I'm telling you that kick will have an effect that'll keep sad hands in bed they will not leave his chin adhesive worried about that about body kick that's exactly what you're saying Dravid need to step to his right to land that kick with power to keep yourself off of that center line exactly tawny otherwise it opens up the sound opens for long-range plan for 30 hit with the long red punches just engage he Carrington banks through Dobler the main training partners of Brandon Birds the planet events just throws every it is nothing he has to throw because he doesn't want to get him at that big shot click from the second [Applause] fighter seconds of round tower Aaron's going back Oh [Applause] well hey no matter we got we're in our last round look at me look at me look at me boy then go yes we did I don't want to float in this round you birthed me get his ass on his back you understand that's your goal of this job if that's the problem get his ass on his back those rounds of yours now you go out there and you finish this last line good lord that's a nice shot you see a woman just walking right back really the [ __ ] there was a lot of new shots here Stan nice kick to the body by grunts go get it it is time to put him on there's the knee by wot block mostly by Gertz tries to bring that right hand over the top a lot of back-and-forth powder good last five minutes satellite branding Turks third and final round six fight here at Pechanga or cyan alot he's pouring water here with two knockouts Big John your skorca right now I have to fight even I thought it was a very close second round but a lot of the shots that Brandon was getting him with even though he turned of times he was the one that was landing the better heavier shots and controlling that location to the fight collectin see Rena Gertz and Israel try to fix [Music] okay Josh I saw you take the headset off when you saw jealous Court I had Gershwin Atlanta the cleaner damaged even though thirds we sometimes off balance happy to back away but I highly am winning the round so I have it two rounds Gertz one one for Big John to our for Josh Thompson four minutes remain in our main event what a main event it is been birch looks tremendous after that long way off 350 days fantastic it's a big shots in this fight he's still got a lot of pepper dish that that just goes to show how company is in this conditioning once again don't forget bonus coverage down to our app to zone we got a ton of great fights if the lot is looking out and you're always looking through four minutes out from the fight every time Brandon comes forward and throws that left his head is dipping off towards his right and you can sit there and set that out and take advantage of that time it's so hard don't kiss Curtis are explosive she fired face each other love ducks his head you're creating that that is exactly right by Jason Herzog [Applause] but what he should have done there is derelict on the leg no use to see Goethe this is what happened when the Campos fight he covered up and took the knee right up the middle again that big cut those kids an extra body who is doing [Applause] a favor [Applause] rolling the shorts over here Jason Herzog right on top of the action be drownded pound by Drabek Dirk's we're seeing the same thing Adam say that a lot as we saw the defensinator tonight he's feeling something he doesn't like until he's talking to the referee don't talk the referee get yourself all these situations that he should be trying to get to his feet [Applause] that brisket also protects that punch either and this is what I'm three this is huge for Brandon even bigger on your scorecard job that what Gertz is doing right now is he did it also a very good job against Melvin Guillard is that every time you got the takedown of the fight went to the kind of shows behind [Applause] [Applause] trying to finish him anyway those a minute milk just tell me a time that's acceptance [Applause] just it [Applause] Thursday [Applause] the ball taken look some of the current I'm gonna ship your you can put yourself out 20 seconds [Applause] it's just done [Applause] oh good ones that watch this straight shot Oh beautiful what we call the breadbasket right down the line and if you don't think that hurts you have no idea big shots by wah trying to land that right hand hurts coming back takes a little shot there is no quit in either guy's ears right at the end of the fight both are exhausted both of them have arms that feel like they're 200 pounds apiece but they're still going after each other throwing everything they have brandy Kurtz is a maniac the judge's decision is in here is Michael C Williams ladies and gentlemen at the three non-stop rounds of action we go to your judges scorecards at cage side judge Lawton McCarthy scores at 29 to 28 Michael Bell 30 to 27 and judge Jackie Dinkin 29 to 28 all heaven for the winner by unanimous decision Brandon [Applause] by unanimous decision he will visit with Big John I'm here with your winner Brandon girls I will tell you at the end of that fight I didn't want anyone to lose because both of you guys put so much out in that fight let's get you dog [Applause] what was it life coming off of that big layoff you had with the shoulder injury coming back in here and putting on a performance at lot like that tonight oh those are some hard times you know everything I went through to get back in here and I came to fight a [ __ ] warrior you guys all saw that I mean I swear he was out twice and he just came back from it he's a [ __ ] warrior I knew I was got my hands full here but these are the total two fights they put me in because they know I'm gonna come and I'm gonna bang it out with somebody like I saw in the last part of that fight third round you were exhausted from going after him trying to finish him he was exhausted but coming after you what was going through your mind this guy's an animal I mean I felt I hit him with some of my best shots and he just kept coming and hats off to him I mean I just had to stay composed I knew he was coming up the middle list and stuff in I just had to fight through it we fight through you did that was an unbelievable performance great win congratulations and welcome back ladies and gentlemen your winner Brian in Gertz you
